Sometimes all you want is a drink, some booze and maybe some cheese fries to wash it down so you can drink some more. But at least the live music is good, the T.V.s have great quality, and they have a pool table. It's all smoking section so don't complain if your girlfriend knows where you have been if you don't pack extra clothes.

Kuro Sayomi Wilde, a slender and elegant female who appeared around her mid-twenties with fair skin, black-brown hair, and grey eyes walked into the bar, a sly smile on her face. A young man looked at her, eyes staying a bit too long on her body which wore a short black ruffled skirt and the lean shoulders that peaked out of her purple asymmetrical shirt. The look in her eyes and the way her grin twisted her plump lips into a smirk bad his face turn away and turn read simultaneously.

"Welcome home Shiro." She said, looking over her shoulder at the identical girl that accompanied her. At first glance they could not be told apart, but due to their difference in clothing they could be told apart by a trained eye. "Let's get a few drinks before we head to the square to see how things are going shall we?" She sat at the bar and ordered honey whiskey and coke on the rocks, a more manly drink by default that only got her a few odd looks.

Shiro chased after her twin sister, her identical face making a more irritated expression. She paused to smile kindly at the boy with the red face, and fix the ruffles in her short pink and cream dress, before hurrying again after her sister, into the bar. "Kuro, wait for me!"

She paused at the doorway to wipe her shoes on the mat, rolling her eyes when Kuro just walked right in. She hoped up onto a stool at the bar beside her sister, and smiled sweetly at the bartender. "I'll have an iced tea please, with a lemon." He worked on getting their drink right away, had a nice smile and was very polite. She made a note to tip him. When the bartender turned around she lowered her voice to speak to Kuro. "What's your rush? We've been traveling for a while, aren't you tired. We should get a place to stay, maybe settle in a bit first?"

Kuro rolled her eyes at her twin. "First of all, that awful dress you are wearing." She teased, "Why can't you at least wear normal clothes like me? It doesn't even look good with that dark hair." She took a swig and smiled, trying to show that she wasn't just being mean, but being a bit honest with her opinion. She hated that kinda clothes.

"Anyway, I am full of energy and I want to see the town. Everyone we knew is probably dead."

"Kurro, wait up!" Shiro called as she followed after her sister, rolling her eyes as Kuro made a face at the smiling man. His reaction was funny though. She whipped her shoes off at the door and took a seat beside her twin. "You mean this?" She asked, tugging on her dress. "Kuro, you have practically the exact same one!" She stuck out her tongue at her sisiter, before ordering and iced tea, giving the bartender her best smile. "Besides, my hair always goes with everything. Yours on the other hand..." She trailed off and shrugged as if she didn't want to offend her sister, knowing full well their hair was exactly the same.

Her drink came and she picked it up, sipping half of it up quickly, to quench her thirst. "Well you never know, we had some strange friends, Kuro. Some might be alive. But I suppose a stroll around the town would be fun."

[Enter Aoi from his room.]

Aoi walked into the bar as he adjusted the cuff of his button-up cyan plaid shirt. Before leaving his room, he had the foresight to wash his face and change his clothes, he was glad his enchanted cigar case held his spare clothes, but nothing could be done about his unruly hair or the bags under his eyes. He would need a shower for his hair and cover-up for his eyes. He just looked like an exhausted and well-dress (button-up and trousers) office workers. Too bad he never worked a day in an office in his long life.

Yet despite his appearance, Aoi kept a pleasant expression for those around him, for the barkeep and for the bar patrons, two of who he would steer clear of. Identical twins that gave off a strange aura were bad news. He would know, he married a set of identical twins. It wasn't easy.
Just ignore them.

Shiro sneaked a look over her shoulder, then turned in her chair to her twin sister. "Don't look now Kuro, but someone is staring at us. He looks like he works all night, or else hasn't slept in a week, but other then that he's not too creepy." She chuckled lightly. Her and Kuro were a little used to being stared at. They were powerful and identical, and whether people here knew it or not, they owned this place. "He's at about...three o'clock." She whispered.

"Well at least the town isn't dead." She said to the comment about the man, looking over. "You know I don't wear frilly things, ever. At least not on a day-to-day basis. A ball might be kinda fun though. Many we can show these children how to throw an elegant party."

She looked over at the man, and then smirked to her sister, "You should buy him a drink you you are just going to keep staring."

Aoi noticed the frilly-dressed twin look at him and then at her goth-dressed twin to whisper something to her. He didn't like it, so when she looked at him again, he stared back at her, dropping his pleasant expression as he waited for her to look away before walking over to the counter and sitting on one of the stools. He ordered a Scotch on the rocks and waited for the bartender to fix up his order. I hope those women leave soon. He just wanted to forget his pains and worries, to grow old and die, though it was impossible for him.

Shiro turned away from the grumpy man with a smile. "You're right, I was being very rude." She whispered to Kuro, and flagged the bartender over.

"How can I help you?" He asked her.

"That man's drink is on me." She inclined her head slightly, and slid a bill across the counter. Maybe Mr. Grump would perk up a bit of his drink was on the house. With the settled, she turned back to her twin sister. "I think you're right, this place may have gone dull without us. We should invited everyone in the town, get everyone interesting in one place for some fun! What do you think?" Her eyes held a sparkle of excitement as she spoke. It was good to be back!

Aoi took the glass the bartender prepared for him and downed the Scotch in one gulp. The burning caused by the alcohol was a long needed relief after the shitty day he had, attacked by a dragon, injured by a dragon, followed by a dragon, and then meeting Sol and Luna and trying to distance himself from them because Sol was so warm, he reminded Aoi of Akane, and if he tried to get close to Sol, he would hurt Luna, which was bad; Sol was Luna's brother, he was her other half and two halves should never be separated. Also, if he got too close to Sol, he would end up embarrassing himself in front of him, Sol was so warm and comforting, he was the exact kind of person he liked. Getting further involved with him and Luna would bring them trouble. Ugh...why is life complicated? Why couldn't I grow up as a normal outcast with my family in Chinese society? He sighed as he made the ice melt in his glass and down the watered down alcohol that remained in the glass.

Aoi hardly noticed the bartender leaving his post before he returned to inform him his drink had already been paid for.
"You won't have to worry about payment, sir, so please relax and enjoy you stay at Cross Roads Bar." With every word spoken, the bartender became more and more nervous, his words jumbling together at times. He had to repeat a few phrases. It was probably because Aoi glowered at the bartender as he spoke, which in turn scared the mortal.
Aoi sighed after several moments.
"I'm not accepting the payment. Use the money to pay for my would-be patron's drink. And please give me another Scotch on the rocks. Less ice." He glanced over his shoulder at the twins, figuring they were the only people in the bar who had motive to reach out to him, which he didn't want or like. He just wanted to get wasted enough to dull his pain and loneliness and depression. Nothing more, nothing less.

Kuro smiled, she downed her drink. "I am going to get the house in order, we can get a few fliers written and put in all the mail boxes, put on on every store and such, too. We will have it at our place." She stood up. "Hey, bartender," she handed him well more many than needed. "Get that man wasted. He's boring." She said curtly and walked out.

"Come on Shiro! You have to deal with decorations while I get these papers handles!"

Shiro huffed in annoyance when the man denied her payment, she was only trying to be friendly! Her smile was replaced oh her face when Kuro talked about the party, and she smiled. "Have a nice evening, ladies and sirs!" She hollered at everyone with a smile, then chased after Kuro again—something she did a lot of. "I'm coming!" She called as the door shut behind her.

Aoi watched in smug satisfaction at the frilly twin, but the satisfaction soon disappeared when the goth twin handed the bartender more money than necessary and knew what she sat without hearing a word. Identical twins were annoying that way. "I can't handle women anymore," he said with a sigh and then accepted the money from the goth twin. Might as well get wasted while he could still feel the pain from his broken ribs, soon they would be healed and he would not be in so much pain, just exhausted.

Downing his drink, Aoi ordered a row of Kamikaze and took them all in stride.

Once the twins left, Aoi drowned himself in spirits until a parchment appeared on the salt-and-pepper stand on the bar counter. His vision was blurry, though it didn't stop him from noticing the other parchments around the bar, one at each table. Sighing, he read the message on fresh ink and decided he wouldn't attend this ball. It said Kuro Shiro residents, he was a visitor; it didn't say it was mandatory, he didn't want to go; he hated crowds and people, so he wouldn't go. Nothing, but the threat short of a curse could make him attend.

So, deciding being drunk wasn't a good idea anymore, Aoi ordered glasses of water to dilute the alcohol. The water also gave him a reason to search for the restroom and utilize it. After another two hours of preventing a hangover, Aoi popped the first two buttons of his shirt and bid the bartender goodbye.
