Here's where we start/finish WG things and do other things if we so desire! More threads can be created if we deem necessary but this will be a good start. The location is variable and will most certainly change as we go along. Feel free to use my (many XD) described locations or locations unique to your characters.
The time is also variable and doesn't necessarily rely on real time~
And whatever writing style you want to use is fine, though I will probably write things out as I won't have to be cutthroat to get my replies in super fast here. whee

Location: Hyde's Home - Living Room
The Living Room is quite spacious considering how cluttered the rest of the house is. Hyde must have done some actual cleaning and organizing for this event. There is a nice fire burning in the massive stone fireplace. Various weaponry - fully functional - decorates the mantle and area surrounding the stone structure (as well as multiple other places in the home). Surrounding the fireplace in a half moon formation are - quite literally - hundreds of pillows of various shapes, sizes, materials, fluffiness, and colors.
On the darkwood coffee table sits dozens of platters, bowls, and trays of sweets, treats, and various baked confections. Plenty of drinks are available to quench any thirst - just don't ask where some of the more coppery-smelling red concoctions came from.
From somewhere soft jazz is playing to fill the background with something other than silence. There is room for plenty of guests, but the intention for only a select few is also apparent in the selection of goods and sleeping accommodations. No sleeping bags here~

Having quite comfortably and pleasantly dressed for the sleepover Hyde decided that, rather than be a decent hostess and await the arrival of her friends and guests, she was just going to loaf around on the pillows like a stretched out cat. It was always comfortable to drape herself over the plush cushions and stretch out than do... anything, really.
But there were times when she was required to be more active. Perhaps when someone arrived that didn't just let themselves in or enter via teleportation she might feel up to moving. Perhaps.
More than anything she was wondering just what her friends were - or were not - going to wear to the party. The idea made her ears flutter with delight. heart

Someone was less than thrilled about mandatory attendance at a sleepover held at a place with a less than savory dresscode, but someone was often a better friend than she was given credit. Fortunately any location within memory was but a circular portal away for the lovely Amarante, making the less than favorable state of dress she deigned to appear in a little easier to swallow. Her expression remained indignant however, her rarely-seen bare face furrowed at the brow with displeasure as she appeared.
"Before you say anything, I know I'm not naked... it's my choice to not be naked!" Might as well cut to the chase when dealing with insistent elves. "Stripped down to the harness is usually as naked as I'll get, anyway." A harness that was currently accessorized with some belts. She was quick to assemble her own pile of pillows next to the elf's assortment... and then go in for the drinks. Being drunk would make the time pass more quickly, surely. And upon that thought, she was quick to grab a second before even finishing the first.

Rather than get up to greet her long time friend the elf merely turned her head and grinned at the near-naked-as-possible demon. "Ara~ Ama-cha~ No one said you had to be naked tonight." Of course this did not mean that things couldn't change later on in the night! 4laugh
Seeing her friend grab a drink and then another caused Hyde to pout out her bottom lip in a playfully hurt manner. "Aww, Amatcha~ When you do that you make it seem like you don't want to be here. Did you have some other place to be? Glued to someone's arm, maybe?"
Rather than drag out that line of conversation she took up a glass filled with a thick green liquid that looked like pureed moss. "Do you suppose anyone else will show? I completely forgot who else I invited. Or if I even remembered to send any invitations. Did you get one or did I just happen to mention it to you?"

Someone was already more than a little buzzed and more than a little impressionable. Eye shut, she sank into her pile of pillows with quite the blissed-out expression. Though she shot back a sharp look at Hyde quickly enough. "Problem?" She returned to a seated position, still not looking quite thrilled but the truth of the matter seemed obvious. "I'm here, aren't I?" Maybe it was the alcohol at play, but suddenly the room seemed quite crowded. "I don't like the way I'm dressed..." Or lack thereof, really. Nervously eyeing the growing mass of people she was quick to press a palm over the exposed part of her face. "And really, I thought this would be far more intimate..." It was difficult to search with but one free hand but she had no choice. They were noticing. Found it! With the tightening of a latch and a flip of her hair she was covered once more. Being barefaced was far worse than being exposed, after all. "It's not the number of guests so much as..." There was quite the collection of personalities familiar to her as she took in the sight. Someone she'd crossed swords with more than once. "...just who..." Someone she held more than one disagreeable conversation with. "...you brought." Someone she'd had an uncomfortably lucid conversation with rather recently. There were bound to be more if she looked closely, but even those few were enough to make her visibly cringe back. "But see? Still here. Not running away." Good friends were difficult to find, especially for her, after all. Even if they forced her to be practically naked.

Her best friend was unhappy with the party setting. And it made her change her outfit back to something more conservative!

With a popping of air where the elf once occupied Hyde began the quick process of removing all of the other 'guests'. There were already convenient holes in the ceiling through which the ones with wings could be tossed and the door was large enough to allow multiples out at once. Which was good, since that is how they were going out. "Bye Creia, bye Ara, bye Nei, bye Cyane, bye~ the rest!" In no short order had the room that had been filled with beings was now down to two occupants.
Hyde began tidying up from the mess the rest had left in their wake. "... I am sorry, Ama-cha. I didn't know you had a problem with so many. I was just so excited I think I got a little carried away. She didn't really turn to face her friend as she cleaned. There was just the clinking of dishes as she picked them up one by one. She had made a terrible error in judgement.

"'Problem' is a strong word... it's okay, it's okay!" She reached out to comfort the elf with a pat on the shoulder. "Maybe it's difficult for someone with a personality like yours to understand. but..." The expression on her face was unsettled, to say the least. "Someone like me can tend to rub people the wrong way." Amarante, strong personality? No way~ Once she was done rubbing her face in anxiousness, it was back to the business of putting things back on track. Whatever that happened to be. "Now, come on~ Back to your festivities, and whatnot! What does one even do at these things other than be practically naked? Drink, smoke, gossip?" Oops. "Oh, no, forget the last part. No, we certainly shouldn't do that. Nope." Backtracking. Pointless backtracking, but an attempt was made.

Hyde allowed her friend to speak while she finished cleaning up. The dishes were tossed out the door like the people had been. Some of them may have been tainted with something bad and there would be no amount of cleaning that could remove the filth.
That or she was just feeling reeaaallllyyyyyy lazy.
With that bit of unpleasantness over she was able to return to her long time friend and flopped down on the pillows with an audible 'flump!'. She was still a little bummed out, but made no more mention of it than the expression on her face. >n> "Fuuu~ Amatcha you should know that it's just easier to eviscerate people you don't like than to try and put up with them. But I think that is one of your bad habits that is rubbing off on me: not doing so." The elf stuck out a purple tongue and made a quiet razzberry.
Stretching out on the pillows Hyde grabbed her cup from before. "I dunno what goes on. I just saw the mention in some of those magazines at the grocery store and thought it sounded like fun. They made mention of weird things that apparently the young girls are into these days: terrible male performers with no talent gushing, taking ill-conceived tests printed in their media, and trying to over-sex them at a young age. Those were promptly destroyed, much to the upset of the grocer. I can't go back there anymore."
She downed her green drink in one gulp and looked over to the demoness. "What's wrong with being naked? Or even practically naked? The pillows feel so much better with nothing between you and them~" She emphasized the point by snuggling into the pile and discarded the feather cami she formerly had on. "Besides, I'm sure you'd rather talk about anything in general than worrying about being disrobed in my home, Ama-cha~" heart There was a playful look in her eyes, rising over the rim of a pillow like a predator stalking prey, completely focused on Amarante as she spoke.

"Strange as it sounds, killing isn't always a viable solution." She shrugged. As much as Amarante would simply like to murder her problems away sometimes it would just make things worse. "And hey, it's not a bad habit! It's..." There was a fresh pain visible in that grey eye. "It's being realistic."
Amarante's usual unimpressed expression rested silently upon her face. "So, you wanted to have one... without knowing what goes on... then you..." She stifled a laugh. Yep. Typical Hyde.
She crossed her arms with an irritated sigh. "I guess you wouldn't understand. Your type is only associated with cookies. And not always." A shrug. "Demons are assumed to always be naked and always corrupting the innocent. They wish I so desired to corrupt them." She leaned her chin against her hand with a sullen expression. "I'm not afraid of exposing myself. I just find myself not wanting to prove them right." ...Oh god, what did that predatory look mean. "Why are you looking at me like that. Why." She was quick to try to hide behind as many pillows as possible.

"I never said it had to be viable, Ama-cha~ Just an option." She was still snuggled down into the pile, not really moving, but she kept her crocodile-like monitoring of Amarante going as the demoness tried to hide behind pillows. Her friend was being tortured inside. Probably by her own self, as usual. That would have to be dealt with.
When Amarante stifled a laugh the elf's long ears perked up like a cat's and she was even more focused than before. "You've nothing to prove here, Ama-cha~ And you have nothing to hide. We've been friends for centuries. We've fought together, slept in the same bed when needed, and even bathed together. We've nothing to hide from each other. I just show that more visually. But you..." The last line was accented by the disappearance of the elf's head under the pillows.
The combination of the piled cushions and her natural ability to change colors allowed Hyde to essentially burrow through the piles until she was over her friend's shoulder. "You continue to hide even in the security of my home." She couldn't help but look a little hurt. Her face just a few inches from that of her friend's she poked the corner of Amarante's mouth with an extended digit. "Just a moment ago you let your guard slip. You should feel secure here and let it down. No one will get you here. This party is for you. You need to let loose. I don't know all that happened, but I know in the long run most things are ephemeral. Relax. Have a cookie."
Where did that come from? With no indication that her hand had been concealing anything there was a baked treat now poking at the corner of the demoness' mouth where the finger used to be.

"Haa~" Amarante was once again unimpressed. "What am I hiding, exactly? Do you mean this?" She made a circular motion with her finger over the covered part of her face. "Or did you mean something else?" The more she was questioned the more stubborn she became, finally crossing her arms in defiance. "Enough games. If there's something you wanted to know you should simply ask." And still she continued to look stubborn, even with a cookie stuffed into her mouth... and once it was consumed, she continued to complain. "You say a lot, but express little. Sounds like you should follow your own advice about hiding, hnn?" All that stubbornness had led to smugness, which for the moment gave her confidence but usually backfired badly not long afterwards.

"You, Irazoki Amarante! You're hiding you." The elf was quite upset now. She hadn't used her friend's full name in well over a century in intimate company. Something had happened to her friend and it left a huge scar on her personality that kept her friend from being herself. "I want the you that I remember. Not... not this, that is sitting here now, in my home. You have her body, but somehow the mind is not the same. What happened? You used to be more at ease and less serious when we were together. It was fun. Now it'd be more fun to go put on a dress and go titter at the actions of egotistical men who think their d**k is the biggest in history. If you want me to express myself, unbridled and unabashed," her voice growled out, "I'll show you expression!"
In an act of expression, Hyde kicked a small pile of pillows into the fire. The force of the blow cause several to simply explode into a shower of downy feathers and cotton fluff; several more flew and hit the wall simply from the force behind the blow even though they were never physically touched. Afterward she simply stood there, staring, the firelight reflecting in her one exposed - teary - golden eye.

Amarante probably found the pillows exploding more amusing than she should have. She hadn't meant to upset Hyde, not really... but in an immature sort of way it had been sort of worth it, in that way. "Things will be fine, you know? Aren't they always? But..." How long would it take to recover? Without any sort of closure, probably a while. "Fine. I thought... I thought someone was my friend. But really..." She pulled her knees to her chest protectively. "They never thought the same of me. And when they made an attempt at proving otherwise, they really..." There was a cold ache in her chest. "All they were really doing was bringing my guard down, to further drive the blade into my back." She couldn't help but laugh a little. There was nothing to be done about it, after all. "You're throwing quite the tantrum for so little, considering you've seen me in worse shape." She didn't like to bring up anything close to it, but. "What's a few frowns compared to the madness he caused, after all." Him. A man Hyde didn't like very much, and probably needed to be caught up on Ama's backstory about had probably tried to kill more than once without understanding the futility of such actions. But, all that the elf needed was a reminder, and no more. "Things will never be that bad again, right? So don't worry so much..." Her smile was timid, but honest. "In time things will pass, that much is true. But you can't try to pass off things you lack knowledge about as insignificant and then cry about them in the same breath. It is painful."

A lone cupcake traced a graceful arc across the living room, softly bouncing off of Amarante's forehead before settling in her lap, frosting side up. Ausica stepped forward but a moment after with pillow in hand an a tray of her choice amunnition in the other, a satisfied smile playing in the corner of her mouth.
Konbanwa, you two. Lively as ever, I see. Is this seat taken?
