If you roll a 10, you encounter a weapons tablet to bring back. When a 10 has been rolled 2 times your lime limit is up and you can head back. The quest is considered COMPLETED. Mark the title of the thread as so. America muttered as they reached the next area several Death hunters had pointed to. Kneeling down, the girl touched her finger to a thick pool of congealed and drying blood. After sniffing it, she wiped it off on her jeans with a frown and then glanced around, her posture turning ready and defensive even as she began to pick out rocks, seeking out the tablets that meant a fellow hunter had fallen there. The girl was not particularly reverent of the dead, but she knew to be wary of what killed them. "Probably Suns n'Moons," she commented quietly, and made a mental note to pick Allan up something on her next leave.

He looked like he might be sick, even though by now the sight of a few dead bodies should have been old hat for him. He wondered, dimly, if they'd ever found out who had owned the coat he'd slept in for so long underground.
He prodded a body with a toe, halfway turning it over and letting it fall with an abruptness that indicated he'd thought better of it, looking ill.
"I wonder who has to come back out to these ******** places and drag them all back for the bonfire," he said flatly.

"Hopefully not us," America answered, selfish and practical. "My guess is the Life folks. Recycling the dead for study before finishing them off." With that comforting thought, she continued to work quietly for awhile, never straying too far from Taym.

America immediately brightened, "Yeah! Pey texted me to tell me why she wasn't coming. Probably gonna have her hands full for awhile. Glad she's not in a pod anymore, that s**t's creepy as ********." Moving aside a bit of unidentifiable flesh, blackened and seared, the girl squinted to see if what was underneath happened to be a tablet or just plain rock.
"Weird thinking that family might just show up out of the blue one day..."

"Not mine, I hope," he said quietly. He made a quietly disgusted sound over what it was that he'd just tentatively checked out, and let it go. "I used to have nightmares about it, first couple months here. Haven't in a while but I guess they'd be worse now."

"There's a few I think I might..." America trailed off, then shrugged. "Well, who knows what with the way things are. But it seems safer, if they see things, to be with us. Like, that's even without the s**t actively trying to hurt them."
For a moment it seemed like she'd found a tablet, but it was just a piece of battered armour. "How can people stand to wear this s**t? Anyway, not everybody's as smart as me, so some think they're like, crazy and s**t."

"Because I like having a mission to put my mind to. Waiting for you to get back and now Kon, it sets me on ******** edge the entire time. Plus you're here, too, even though you should still be recovering and it was a d**k move of them to send you out here after a month of this. You were supposed to get several months for recovery, and it's ******** up that they went back on that."
Pushing aside some dirt, America found a weapon tablet and held it aloft, "Not to mention I like being good at what I do."

"The several months of recovery was for spending two months st--not--being willfully sick," he settled on. He did not mention that he'd practically begged for more work as soon as they'd let him out of his infirmary bed. And before, to be honest. He wasn't sure whether it had played any part in their decision or not. "******** spending a few months sitting around with nothing to do, anyway, especially since I don't even have ******** leave privileges and god knows I'd give my right ******** arm for a trip off the Island that didn't involve looting corpses. Which, by the way," he finished, fishing a weapons tablet out from under a body and turning away, the back of his hand to his mouth, when it dripped.

"Well then I s'ppose the real question is, why aren't you chipper as well?" She plucked the tablet out of his hand and carefully wiped it off with the remains of a telltale white coat, admitting, "Guess you're pretty good at what we do, too." rejam i felt a need to tag this one again shhh
