I saw him live a few months ago when a tour featuring MC Chris came through Pensacola (see note below). Dr. Awkward described himself as enjoying making rap that you can exercise to with energetic rhythms around 120bpm. I bought his album; it's all pretty good.

My friend randomly has a Dr. Awkward CD in his car, he says he got it from a thrift shop for free. I made him put it in because that's the name of a KoL enemy in the Palindrome. I am glad that this coincidence is now doubled.
