With all this inflation that has struck, people are wondering what they can do to help stop it. We've come up with a few ways that you can help.
1. Buy items from Gaia's Gold Shops!. When you buy items from the gold shops that gold is taken from the system completely. So, that means less gold circulating! Shop's with more expensive items like Loyal's Bazaar and Dernier Cri are best to buy from because that removes the most gold from circulation.
2. Buy/create a guild! Sure, they only cost 20k to make. But hey, that's 20k less in the system. It may be minuscule compared to what is released in each gold generator but if enough people create guilds that removes A TON of gold from the system.
3. Start your own guild-gold sinks! You don't need to donate just to this guild! Donate to any guild that you're a part of! It doesn't matter which guild you donate to, that gold is still, no matter what, out of the system permanently!
4. Spread the word! Use Gaia's forms of communication to your advantage and spread the word about this movement! Help get Project: Goldsink's name out there so more people know about it and can help fight inflation!
5.Stop buying gold generators. Gaia uses these gold generators to get even MORE money, & get lots of their profits from them. So if you stop buying gold generators, they are forced to stop selling them. Since they no longer profitable or beneficial to Gaia. [siiaa]
6. Opt-out of the "Gcash Purchaseable" feature when listing your items on the marketplace. When people purchase your items with Gcash, it creates gold out of thin air and adds that to the economy. It is just as bad as using gold generators, if not worse.

Here's an idea:
Stop buying gold generators. Gaia uses these gold generators to get even MORE money, & get lots of their profits from them. So if you stop buying gold generators, they are forced to stop selling them. Since they no longer profitable or beneficial to Gaia.

Here's one I do a bit: Check Flynn's Plunder regularly and try bidding on items that you just have to have, rather than buying them outright from other sellers. Sure, sometimes you can lose out on something you really wanted... but when you do win, that's something that can be a huge sink right there, as well as possibly being a much nicer price than the lowest market value. We're talking about potential billions dropped at a time; Gaia is even keeping track of how much Flynn pulls in now because it adds up so fast!

Alchemy is a great goldsink. Only buy Philosopher Caches from the shops. Crafting fees are also a great way to get rid of gold and level up in alchemy. I actually have an idea for a service that helps people level up in alchemy while sinking gold, but Gaia needs to fix a couple of things first before it can be realistically implemented.
Additionally, they've added a GoFusion charm pack in Back Alley Bargains for 100mil. Buy the pack, sell the charms on the marketplace, repeat.

I have several ways I fight back, maybe there are some here who might find some of these ideas easy to handle.
1) Off line trade for items rather than purchasing directly from the MP. This way the purchase, inflated or not, will not contribute to the Average Buy Price of the item. Or its possible that you can trade one of your items for their items and avoid gold all together.
2)There are ways to recycle gold regularly to move it out of the system. Purchase and open large quantities of Gold Charm Packs, Bug Jars, Ye Old Trunks, zOMG Grab bags, Philosophers Cache, and resell the contents on the Marketplace. So far I have only made profit or broke even by doing this. I just keep dumping the gold into the gold shops on these items and keep it going.
3) Purchase a bunch of LQIs from Loyals Bazaar and sell them on the MP. Recycle the gold by buying more LQIs and repeat.
4)Buy/Bid items from Flynns Plunder. Although winning bid prices do affect the ABP of the items, at least the gold (supposedly) does not go back into the system. Its a good way to purchase something you have been questing, or just sell it in the MP again to pull more gold from the system and recycle it.
These are things that I do regularly, although not many wanna be as hard core about this as I am sweatdrop

1. try not to claim daily reward gold, a few mil might mean nothing but everything counts!
2. dumpster dive and sell the items you get on mp
3. instead of spending gcash on mp, spend it in gaia stores and sell resulting items on mp
