The gray toned audio was on his knees as he stared at the headstone. The marker for it was of two audio. A female leaning back into the arms of a male. Both audio were seen with a large angelic audio encircling them with its wings. The illusion of protecting them imprinted in the youths mind forever. It wasn't too long ago that he found out about his parents deaths. He had been hiding on the streets before news reached him. His elder brother was alive...his parents weren't. He stared up then lowering pale pink eyes he looked around...a grave with the words HOPE RIDES ALONE sparked a memory in the back of his mind... "Pa." his elder brother's voice made the pup squeak in protest, he had been trying to nap. Their Pa was holding the toddler reclining in a chair as the firstborn laid on his stomach reading a book. Their Ma was somewhere in the kitchen, "Pa...you said that Hope stood alone. Why?"
Their Pa's deep rumbling voice was always a comfort for the toddler, "Because the fools of this City took him for granted. He's our salvation boys...don't forget that..." "Salvation....heh, where was Hope when the fires of chaos tore the City's order apart? Where was Hope when my parents were taken from me? Where was Hope when my brother became spineless?!?" the youth's voice echoed across the graveyard. A sudden glint and a knife appeared embedded in a nearby tree. Pale pink eyes light with fury, "Hope never. Existed. Doctor Wily and his army did. Doctor Wily and his army....its their fault..." he chuckled darkly before looking up, "I'm sorry Pa. Ma. I can't be a good little boy anymore.Your not here...I don't know where Seven is...I don't want to know. He became spineless that day. He's not like you Pa...or me..." he blinked and then everything about him calmed. He stood brushing himself off as he placed the half dozen flowers on his parents grave, "I love you both."He turned to retrieve his knife and leave.... Demy-Stardust I TOLD YOU THE KIDS TWISTED!!!!! If i need to change anything let me know.....

Flashover didn’t make it a habit of lurking in graveyards, but occasionally they offered the smokey Audio a quiet reprieve as well as a reminder of just what it was he was fighting for. How many Citizens lay needlessly buried in the ground? Just how many could have been saved had the fools of this City stood up to their oppressors earlier? It was tragic, and a lesson. Stand now, or end up trampled beneath the feet of others. He had been on his way out from his little walk when someone speaking caught his attention. Now just -who- would be out here rambling about Hope of all things?! “Hope is dead. Or, at least what people claimed as Hope is dead. He won’t be bothering us again.”Flashover made his appearance a bit aways from Five. He stood behind the boy, head cocked to the side as he looked over this Audio. Just -who- was this, and why was he standing in a graveyard mumbling to himself about Hope? Perhaps Wily’s former general had murdered someone close to this young one. Yes...that made sense. “Killed him myself. Someone has to stand up and fight for our City. I am rather tired of Wily and his rule…-and- those sympathetic to his ways.”No one who sided with Wily was safe from Flashover’s wrath. Be it a Robot Master, or just an ordinary Citizen. They were all criminals in his mind.

The youth had felt the other being come up behind him, his mind too wrapped in itself to click just yet. Once he reached his knife however the youth turned quickly with the glint of the blade pointed at the newcomer. He didn't let it fly. No. Not when his Ma could see him. He let the male talk instead. His head tilted as a slow smirk grew, "Good. Hope was never alive anyways." That phrase could hold so many meanings. Five blinked and suddenly all firey gleam was gone as he gasped, "I'm sorry." he put his knife away on his belt hidden under his large jacket. One would notice he had more than one knife on this belt.... "Where are my manners? My name is Hector Gerald Zielk Tegan Rhys Thompson, but everyone calls me Five. You are?" his head tilted. Even if he looked like one who had just grown out of pup-hood, it would be a stupid move to think he was sweet.

That...was a ridiculous amount of names. Flashover would never understand the need for long fancy names, titles, whatever. One had to make themselves known quickly in this City or fade away into obscurity. Five was a much more sensible name. Easier to say...and a bit unique. It worked. "I am Flashover."Surely he had heard of him? Though possibly not, depending on where the kid was from word of his heroics may not have reached the youth's ears. No matter, they would now. "I am working to free this City of the crazed doctor who holds it. And where do you stand?"Flashover didn't have the time or patience to make small talk. The main thing he needed to know from any particular person was just where their loyalties were.

Five smirked then giggled like a pup, "So your, Flashover! Sweet." He blinked at the male's next words, "Well, to put it simply...Screw Wily." he moved the corner of his jacket to reveal the knife lined belt, "Two of these are just for him."Five then made a sour face, " I only wish there was a knife that could pierce bots. There's at least three for that damned Bass and blasted Proto." he growled.

Good answer. Anyone who was against Wily and came that armed was a welcome ally of Flashover. The rebel leader gave an approving nod, and couldn't help but smirk at the mention of the knives. "That's what rocket launchers and armor piercing rounds are for. Harder to come by, but very worth it. Though, you can save all your weapons for Bass. General Proto is no more."Oh how he wished he had a recording of that evening. The sight of Proto's broken body being hurled through the air was simply beautiful. At least he'd always have the visual memory of it. "This City always needs more allies to this noble cause. Why not join us and put your skills to work?"

Five blinked his eyes dulling, "Knives are more fun. I like being up close when the person realizes my intent.." his eyes glittered as he skipped up to lean close, "I bet seeing Hope shatter was fun. Next time let me see too, kay?"He giggled as he skipped back, twirling his twin long coat tails swirling around him. He had his hands clasped behind his back, "I'll join...if only because I'm tired of being alone....will I get a family out of this?"

This kid was not completely there. That...was a bit troublesome. But so long as he stayed -useful- Flashover could work with it. The moment he got out of hand though he'd be terminated. The rebel leader would sacrifice anything for his goal, and he couldn't risk his operation to someone with mental issues. At least, dangerous ones. A good deal of the rebels were a bit... off. "I suppose the other rebels could act as a family. That's between you and them."Though several stayed with Flashover, he didn't view them as his family. They were his team, his workers, and any number of other things he called them. But not his family. He simply didn't have a need for such things.

The youth nodded vigorously, "Okay then! You got me!" he skipped away to turn back to the male. Flashover looked like a interesting character. He seemed serious and to the point. Something his Pa would of admired, he also seemed detacthed, but the youth wasn't worried about that. He just wanted thsi to be fun. And fun is what he was goign to get. "So...what do we do now?" he asked.

"Mostly I do recon, take out any bots I can, and gather anything useful for the cause. So...basically, we're going to go exploring. You up for that?"Flashover simply eyed the youth as he skipped around, facial expression unchanging. Weird kid. But whatever.

Five nodded like a pup, "Uh-huh! Just tell me what to look for and what to do!" he was excited...this was just like the games his Pa used to play with him.

"Look kid, I'm sure you can figure some of this out on your own."And he'd need to, because Flashover wasn't something doting father type. Make yourself useful. "It's a rebellion, we scavenge anything that can be useful."And he was leaving it vague on purpose, because he wanted to see what the kid considered 'useful'. Explanation over, Flashover moved to leave the graveyard and continue on his way.

Five watched the other male walk away, scout...find something useful to do. A slow dark smirk grew over his face as he backed away from his new Boss, "Understood Boss." He turned and left as well, glancing up to his parents headstones once before breaking out into a full sprint. He had his own connections...audios afraid of him for his little outbursts. But he knew how to stir trouble and get the robot's attention to figure out their routes. He giggled as he leaped over the graveyard fence to dash off into the dark underbelly of the City.
