Personality:
Lazy :: Getting up in the morning? Being chipper and energetic? Wow. That is.. a lot of effort. Rikki does the bare minimum to stay in shape and be healthy. Beyond that, he'll trade in time spent exercising for a warm bed and soft blanket, or slow afternoons spent doing nothing. He's slow and groggy most mornings, and just barely more cognizant in the afternoons.
Patient :: Rikki will sit through some s**t. He will wait, he will aid, and he will support with a steady mind and an even temper until he has nothing let to give. No worry is too small to tip is patience, and no person too slow.
Confident :: Self-assured, Rikki tends to believe he's the s**t. He's made it this far in life and he'll keep going, and that means he's pretty damn capable. Even when things look rough, and he knows things can and will go bad, he's confident enough in himself to attempt it anyways.
Independent :: Rikki is a strong independent man who don't need no support. He's gotten on with minimal help and interaction with his parents in the last couple years, and he's completely okay with continuing that trend. He's okay with doing things solo and taking on the world on his own. That isn't to say he doesn't want to be with people, but he doesn't need it to get by and accomplish goals.
Go with the flow :: Rikki doesn't like responsibility. He'd much rather just follow orders and go with the ideas everyone else calls out. He doesn't look for conflict or leadership, and he definitely doesn't look for power. He's completely comfortable doing his duties, getting the job done, and getting on with his life.
Realist :: He doesn't see things in sugar coated rose colored glasses. The world is actions and consequences and Rikki often thinks far enough ahead to predict them. While it doesn't stop him from doing things, he doesn't take action with the naive notion that everything ever will always be okay. He knows s**t can get serious.
History:
Rikki grew up in Nedlay. Up until a couple years ago he was an average cranky teen on the outs with his parents for completely mundane reasons and looking up to his older brother, Tellervo, and his place among the scouting legion. But then Tellervo was killed on duty and Rikki was left reeling. His relationship with his parents soured until they barely communicated and he isolated from all things that reminded him of his brother.
Now he's starting to find his feet and take his place in the world again. He's mastered hiding the hole left behind after his brother's death, at least on the surface, and decided that the best way to honor him - and subsequently the best way to get away from his parents - is to enlist in the military. He's content with this path, and even considering following his brother's footsteps into the scouting legion, despite the known danger. If his brother thought the cause was worthy enough to die for, then Rikki is willing to entertain the thought.
