In the darker hours of the show, when the sun had mostly gone down behind the set, the video screen came alive and showed the crowd a very familiar set of faces. Serenno King and Kayla King, of the House Our Father Built, stood in front of a camera somewhere in the staging area, as they were surrounded by production trucks and trailers and cars under no roof. Serenno spat angrily into the camera; "You all must think it's very funny, what happened to my little brother last week. Carmyne is not here tonight because of the grievous assault by Hiro, a totally unfounded attack on his person that The House will never forget."
"You might think us weakened, but you are wrong. All you've done is make us even stronger through the will to avenge our brother. And we know, Dion Necurat, that you are really the one behind all this, and I swear to you, on my Father's Name, I will completely destroy you. I will see your shield crack, and your armor shatter, and feel your ribs break with my fist. I will crack your skull and Cr0wn you into your own kingdom of pain and anguish, and only after I hear you cry that you Yield, will I grant you the mercy of death and mount your ******** head on my mantel. Everyone will know of your crime against my family, and what it means to attack the Heir to the Throne. On my honor as a King, in both family and title, I will avenge my brother."
Kayla and Serenno frowned, Serenno's face almost purple with rage, as they turned off the cameras.

Some time later in the show, the cameras caught up with Kayla and Serenno again, and it started to feel a bit like deja vu. "I'm going to get out of here and catch a flight back to Seattle to check on Carmyne before the next show. But I will see you there, okay big brother?" Kayla mentioned, wearing a hoodie and sweat pants in place of her rather promiscuous attire of the norm.
Serenno nodded. "Be careful. We have enemies and we are strongest together."
Kayla nodded and leaned up to kiss her brother affectionately on the cheek. "Don't worry, we'll get them back for Carmyne. We're the good guys. We get to win, remember?" She smiled warmly and then began to walk off towards the parking lot.
The camera followed Kayla King this time as she walked away, secluding herself from the safety of her brother and their house. The night had come much quicker than expected, as it was now dark. And as Kayla continued on, tugging her baggage behind her, it seemed to get darker and darker, Eerily, as this advanced darkness creeped in all around her, lights began to flicker when she passed them. Kayla had not yet noticed this, but a chill ran up her spine that caused her to audibly gasp and cross her arm in front of her bosom, trying to warm and displace the goosebumps that were beginning to pepper her skin. All the lights that flickered went dead in time, and she found herself walking a little bit faster, to get to her car a little more quickly. Suddenly, with a loud flutter, a raven flew right in front of her face, cawing loudly enough to startle her and stop her dead in her tracks.
Kayla's eyes followed the raven, finding that it landed atop one of the production trailers... with about seven of it's kin. All of these carrion birds gently pecked at the metal they stood on, but for one that stared right at Kayla, still as a statue. Kayla looked back at it for a long time before slowly starting to walk again. She gently stepped forward, only for the seven birds to suddenly launch off their perch and fly right in front of her again. "Ahh!" She shrieked and although the birds did not attack her, they started to flutter and fly around her in arcs. Kayla started to run even faster, still pulling her luggage around as she did, but the birds would not cease. Over time, they started to become more insistent in their pushing and shoving, forcing Kayla to take turns into the maze of production trucks that she hadn't wanted to take.
Left, right, left right, Kayla lost track of where she was going, all she wanted was to escape these damnable birds. Why were they attacking her like this? Why wouldn't they just leave her alone. Kayla cried out in pain as one of the ravens actually pecked her harshly on the cheek while she fled, forcing her to flinch for just a second as she turned around a corner, and ran straight into the wall of one of the production trucks. She fell on her a**, groaning quietly as she did, and breathed into the grass and dirt below her. Kayla whined, standing up, and looking out. She was surrounded by electrical equipment and production trucks, all arranged in such a way that they created quite the dead end for her, but for the way she had come from. Just as she started to move to turn back, the birds fluttered out violently from that corridor, cawing at her aggressively.
Kayla swatted at them this time. She wanted to cry. What was happening to her? Why were these birds following her? And just when she started to tear up, they stopped. They fluttered again like a black tornado, and flew up to rest on the production truck directly behind her. They stared forward, at the corridor she had come down. The feeling of dread had never been more palpable in her head than it was when she decided to look down that corridor. There was a man. Or at least, she thought it was a man. A hooded figure of shadow and darkness. He was wearing something on his cloak that seemed to look like feathers of his own off one shoulder. Were these his birds? Kayla found herself both shaking and petrified. She could not see his eyes, but she could feel them on her.
"W-who's there? Wh-who are you?" She called out.
There was a silence.
"All who live. Know my name."
The voice was sinister and deep. It sounded like gravel in the throat passed over each word. And Kayla started to cry. When the man finished speaking, the birds started to attack her again. They hounded her, back and forth, keeping her from moving as she tried to fight back, managing to hit one of the birds square in it's mass, knocking it to the ground. An action that appeared to summon three more in it's place. They screeched and cawed and scratched and clawed. Kayla screamed in pain and terror, for a** the feathery blackness swung around her, bird by bird, she saw the man getting closer, step by step.
"STOP! PLEASE! PLEASE STOP!" Kayla cried out. Her back slid down the wall of the trailer and she covered her head, tucking her chin and her knees to her chest as the birds flew around her. She could only hear their cawing, their crying, the flutter of their wings like a thunder all around her ears. And then. Silence.
Kayla opened her eyes, and looked up. She beheld a man with ashen skin and dead eyes, staring her down from within the hood.
"No one. Can stop. Death."
Kayla screamed.
After the show, only her baggage could be found. And a stray black feather on the ground with it.
