
As much as he loved his brothers and sisters, Swing knew just how competitive they could be at times and he wanted no part of that. He knew they each had their own talents that they wanted to be the best at, but Swing was just content helping and encouraging them in their passions. He didn't want any one of them to think he was trying to outshine them by encroaching on their favorite hobbies or potential special talents, but at the same time, he knew he had to practice said hobbies to try to help them.
He never intended to be a better baseball player than Sandlot or their father, nor did her ever believe he could be a better singer than Star, Diamond, or their mother. Still, in order to help coach them or teach or practice with them, he couldn't be totally useless or ignorant about such things, either. That was why in order to keep them from finding out what he was doing and getting the wrong idea about it, he worked on those hobbies alone in his own time.
With a soft sigh, the white pegasus attempted to touch down with a landing as graceful as he could manage. It wasn't perfect, but at least he managed to get all four hooves on the ground without falling over. He loved to help his siblings, but was that really enough? It was hard to think that he'd ever amount to anything among such a family of competitive, talented stars.
