PROLOGUE
Deep within the catacombs of Trisica University, devious minds are at work in service of the Council of Science. Many seek a cure to the pestilence sweeping across the land, in vain, all of them, for the disease spares none, no matter how much victims are bled or poulticed. And yet, in the midst of all their toils, one scientist may have found a solution, not by mashing herbs or dissecting corpses, but through a much different art.
A new art.
Something really...
Steamy.
Deep within the catacombs, Doctor Fitzdarcy Julesverneington stands up, wiping a sooty gloved hand on his forehead. And his terrible invention clanks and sputters to life. He bites his lip. Now is the moment of truth. If he can go back in time and kill the first victim of plague before the disease spreads, none of the terrible events that have wreaked havoc upon Panymium will have ever taken place. The Empress will stilll be alive. Diefendorf, never hanged. Kirkaldy, young and fresh. Rockland, sane and efficient as always. The House of Obscuvos, just a bad Panymisian fever dream. He just needs some DNA, some strand for the machine to get a fix on and take him to that first instance of plague. Silently, he picks up a struggling stunted and places it in the machine's glowing compartment. It screams, and the machine suddenly goes dark, motionless. In desperation, he hits it! Once! Twice!
And then, too late, he hears the hiss of pent up steam, sees the furious glow emerging at the cracks, and the world explodes.

ALL OF TIME AND SPACE... Every Grimm and Plague in Panymium has disappeared in a flash of brilliant light. Could it be? Has Doctor Julesverneington really stopped the plague from ever happening? Yet people are still dying of it in the streets! No, poor Doctor Julesverneington, and indeed, poor you. All he has managed to do is send every Grimm, every Plague, all of them to a different and random point in time and space. What will you do? How will you explain yourself? Feel free to do RPs or solos about your predicament, while the poor doctor tries to find a way to undo his devious work. Those of you who do may find a machine part for the time machine! And everyone who participates will get a shiny time traveler's badge.
This meta is not canon (check the calendar), but will last until April 7th for those interested in participating. Please mark all meta PRPS with [COG].
TO FIND OUT WHERE YOU ARE, RANDOMIZE A NUMBER BETWEEN ONE AND FIVE:
ONE: You find yourself in a strange place where concrete buildings touch the sky and flashing lights hang from rope in the air! You blink in terror, and just as you're about to get up, a metal wagon screams by you, terrifying you. People are stopping where they stand to stare at you, and some lift strange rectangular devices, muttering "This is going to get so many notes.." (Welcome to NEW YORK CITY)
TWO: You wake up in a strange and grimy cobblestone street, where women with bizarrely tiny waists and large posteriors are looking at you, horrified. Above you, a man in a very tall hat whizzes by on a strange brass contraption, and says "You aren't from one of the colonies, are you, old chap?" (Welcome to a STEAMPUNK NOVEL)
THREE: You wake up in an empty, wrecked building, and at first you think it must be from the strange explosion. But you hear groaning, and as you look out the shattered window, you see hordes of staggering, bloody corpses shuffling past. biting back a scream, you dunk back down and hope none of them noticed you. (Welcome to the ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE)
FOUR: You wake up in a familiar village, but when you look up, you see someone you knew in Panymium- only you also know them to be much older (or dead of Plague). no one seems ill or dying, and everyone is happily toasting the health of the Emperor- and the Empress. (Welcome to PANYMIUM BEFORE THE PLAGUE)
FIVE: You wake up in an elegant palace by the sea, surrounded by marble columns. You look out and see that the whole city is made of stone, geometric and sloping, and people in brightly coloured drapery walk by, chattering away in the language of holy men, Ardenian, or in this dimension, Latin. (WELCOME TO THE ROMAN EMPIRE)

Feel free to make up a Grimm/Plague combo to RP! We will be making a thread for you to post solos in, and if you'd like to RP them, just mark the PRP with -[COG]. If you post a quest for them in the questers subforum, you will get a [META PARTICIPATION] stamp for future judging, but you don't need profile approval to play in this meta.
