The Summoning:
The youth was ready to kick someone's tail if he was made to sit through one more family meeting.
"...and--Valerian. Are you listening?" the deep baritone voice of his Father earned the elder male a leveled glare.
"I'm trying to think of a way to kick you under the table." he replied flatly. Much to the delight of majority of his family. His father twitched...
"Valerian. Your to join your Uncle to assit in the healing today." the elder male replied before looking around, "Now then..."
Valerian tuned him out before looking to his Uncle, the male chuckled with a nod. The youth sighed. Once the meeting was over, Valerian walked up to his Uncle's side.
"Father has me going where now?" he asked.
"The home of a lesser noble." his Uncle replied.
Valerian sighed knowing this was going to be boring. And he was right, after three hours of just sitting there he was happy to be going back home. Once there he sulked out to his personal gardens. He sat crossed legged taking deep breaths. He got up once to get a small bowl of fruits and then eventually feel asleep. He woke a few hours later to see a small deer nosing through the bowl. He blinked a few times before the creature looked up and he blinked. Valerian's eyes narrowed, "You've got to be kidding me...."
He stood up and taking the bowl turned to walk inside his rooms. He froze as he heard small hooves. Turning to see nothing behind him he turned back around to jump at the sight of the small deer in front of him. His shoulders slumped, "You're going to follow me aren't you?"
The creautre nudged his leg to get more food, he sighed setting the bowl down to cross his arms to watch. He breathed through his nose, "Fine then..."
It was weeks later as he was focusing his healing magic that he felt the creature enhance his magic. The male blinked rapidly before looking to the small deer sitting in front of him as he meditated. He gained a slow smile before naming the then nameless creature, "Achelous."
