Greetings! You may be wondering what the purpose of this thread is. Simply put, this is a place for us to collect information on our Barton Original Characters. This will make Role Plays and other events that involve our created characters more easy to follow. Here are the rules:
1. You only get one post in this thread, so please put it to good use.
2. You must only post information relevant to your Barton/Gaia based characters, nothing else. This can include your Barton Sailor Scout if you made one, and other characters, such as my Caelen Evernight for example.
**Please do not just post half a dozen characters for the sake of posting. This is for characters that are used often and play regular key roles in our Barton environment we have set up. Characters that are specific to RPs set up in our Barton Theater sub forum are NOT to be posted here. Those will stay in the Barton Theater Backstage.**
3. All characters must abide by the Gaia Terms of Service. Any violation of the site rules will be grounds for character deletion by the crew.
4. IMPORTANT! ALL characters must be realistically proportioned as far as height and body proportion go. This means no 6 foot girls weighing 100 pounds with crazy curves or guys that are 10 feet tall. Male height limit is 6'2" and female height limit is 5'9". Treat your base character as if this was a real person walking down the street, and give them their base physical attributes based on the real world. The exception is skin color, eye color, hair color, extra appendages such as arms, tails, or horns, and wings.

5. You may edit your character(s)'s info as you see fit to help people get a better picture of your character(s).

7. The post directly under this one is where I give you an example of how to set up your character(s)'s biography. You do not have to follow this exactly, but it is an idea of some pertinent info that people would find helpful in an RP situation.

Style: Celestine likes a lot of royal blues and every shade of purple. Sparkling embellishments reminiscent of a starry sky are often found on her garments. She likes the "fantasy adventurer style" with daring fabrics and cuts. Just think Fantasy MMORPG Mage. xd
Personality: Adventurous and fearless are good descriptors for Cel. She's very kind and extremely friendly. It's a rare thing if she finds fault in anyone because she's "Miss Positivity". Her closets friend back home would call her reckless and patronizing, but only with great endearment. Cel makes friends quickly and easily and has a way of bringing people together. She brings people up when they feel low.
Likes/Dislikes: Celestine loves adventures and being able to discover things for herself. Dislikes are few for Cel, but they do include bad smells, nail clicking, and people who think they are above reprimand and instruction. In her opinion everyone has something to learn, or we'd all be at the top, which isn't realistic.

Pet: Cel's animal companion,Tamashi, is a Soul Wolf. This rare creature is a dark purple with glowing Aurora eyes. When Cel became the Soul High Priestess, the High Soul Elemental sent this Soul Wolf to Cel to guide and assist her.
Origins: Celestine Ravencroft was a simple girl from the world of K'taal, just working to help her parents run the Ravencroft Tavern and Inn in Northpoint. Celestine wanted more out of life, and always dreamed of being a part of the adventure stories she had heard from the patrons who passed through the town and stayed at the inn. She left home when she was 20 to find adventure and learn the most respected form of elemental trade: Crystalmancy. She ended up in Sun City, the capitol of K'taal, and was trained by the High Priest of the Temple of Light. She quickly rose in skill and power, becoming the youngest Master of Crystalmancy. She would become the one to discover the lost element, Soul, and become the first Soul High Priestess.
Occupation: Crystalmancer in her native K'taal, cafe waitress at The Fluffy Bun cafe in Barton. People often ask Cel why she would want to do "menial" work in Gaia when she was a High Priestess back home. She simply answers that you cannot be a leader among people unless you know what it means to serve them as they serve you. Besides, Cel loves the employee discount on coffee! wink
Special Abilities/Powers: As a Crystalmancer, Celestine uses crystals aligned to specific elements to help her friends and fight enemies. With her added abilities as the only Soul High Priestess, the honored lady can see through to a person's soul and use the Soul Judgement to bring justice on those who are full of darkness and evil.
Cel does make a Soul Bond with Caelen Evernight, the resident demon butler for Barton Manor. While this does make her immortal, it is only to an extent. Cel will cease to age and will live indefinitely, but only as long as Caelen is not killed. It is possible to kill Caelen, but it is also difficult and dangerous. This level of immortality is not infallible. Her life depends on his continuing. There are only a few other exceptions to this rule, but will only be revealed as the situations arise.

Age: Unknown, but physically he looks about thirty
Race: Ancient Demon*; among those known as the First Born
*This is a fluke since he neither acts like a demon nor looks like one. This "mistake" will be fixed as his story evolves.
Hair: A deep jet black with pure white streaks up front. He keeps his hair a bit longer than most guys would prefer in an "elegantly shaggy" style.
Eyes: Hazel. They turn a demonic, glowing red when he's in a mood or in Demon Mode. In the future, Caelen will disappear for a while and come back with higher echelon powers from an "Ascension". In his ultimate form, his eyes will be golden.
Height: 5' 11" - His kind are usually between 6'- 6'5", so he's "short" for a demon. Just another thing the others use against him.
Style: For work, Cae tends to veer toward expertly tailored formal attire in navy with gold trim and embellishment. However, he tries to keep the "fancy stuff" subtle. He will dress up for holidays, but he keeps to his usual butler attire mostly. On rare occasion when he and Cel have a date in Barton Town, he'll swap his smart servant suits for softer materials in cream and brown. He's also fond of scarves in his "off time".
The one odd quirk about Caelen's attire is his glasses. A lot of people ask him why he wears glasses if demons have perfect eyesight. He explains that demons see the lines of energy and magic running through the world as they pulse and explode at convergence points. Plus, they also see ALL creatures, regardless of whether they have cloaking activated or not. Because this is such a sensory overload, and Cae has enough to deal with as a butler without dealing with the supernatural as well, Cae wears glasses that filter out the supernatural stuff. It's like wearing blinders. This way he can see the world the way your average human sees it and not go half crazy from all the extra visual input.
Personality: Caelen is a conundrum. He may have been born a demon, but he is a very gentle soul. Perfectly happy to serve others, Caelen is helpful to the best of his ability. While others may spend their time talking endlessly, Caelen prefers to listen twice as much as he talks. For this reason, the Bartobs feel very comfortable sharing their personal cares with him. Cae also has a talent for writing and has become the official Lore Master of the Barton Chronicles, a detailed history of the goings-on of Barton. Like all people, Cae has his quirks. He often gets caught singing in the shower (it really embarrasses him!). For some reason he likes Gregorian Chant, and he can't think his way out of a paper bag when it comes to eating with chopsticks.
There is a darker catch to Caelen. Due to being tormented and repeatedly having his life threatened, always treated as if he was nothing and a grand waste of time, he has no patience for people who dismiss him. He will only take so much of being overruled. He really does not like others trying to pull rank on him, especially those that are children in his eyes because of his long existence. Push him to far, and you will regret it. On the very rare occasion that Caelen is angered, he doesn't yell or glare. He speaks eerily calmly with no expression on his face. The only bit of warning anyone gets is if he addresses someone by a formal title instead of by their common nickname or a first name. While he has never used his powers to lash out in anger, it is best not to push one's luck.
Likes/Dislikes: Caelen likes blackberry pie, rabbits, meditation, and people who can see past the surface to the truly gentle soul within. His dislikes include onions, cats, contact sports, and people who judge on a whim without getting to really know a person. His biggest pet peeve is being still. He just can't stay still, unless he's in a hot tub to relax after a long day's work.

Pet: Cae's animal companion is a rare Silver Owl named Gibbous. The owl will answer to his full name of to his nickname, Gibs. Gibs acts as a messenger for Cae when he gets separated from Cel or the Bartobs and needs to warn them of danger...or make sure they don't reheat dinner with the foil still on it! Gibbous can Soul Meld with Cae, allowing him to take on the Silver Owl form. This doesn't happen often.
Origins: In the primitive early days of Gaia, demons emerged. The first to be created were know as the First Born and numbered twelve. Caelen is among that group of legendary twelve First Born. However, his being born a creature of darkness happened "accidentally on purpose"; it was part of a prophesy. A high priest for the temple of Gaia had a dream that a being born in darkness would one day emerge and ascend to his rightful place as a holy creature, bringing down one of the greatest threats to Gaia. No one paid much notice to this prophesy, and Caelen was ignored. Other demons despised Caelen for his "soft" nature. They said if he would not be what he was born as, then he should not exist at all. Multiple times over the centuries, his own kind have tried to kill him. It is only by sheer force of will that Caelen has managed to evade the attempts on his life. Try as he might, Caelen could not bring himself to be evil in any way. He used his powers to help instead of harm...when he could get someone to stop running in fear long enough to talk to him. Until a few years ago, Cae was mostly a nobody and an outcast, hunted by demons and human alike though he had done nothing wrong. However, after the Halloween massacre caused by Don Kuro, the Bartobs went in search of a defense against the psychotic dark elf. In doing so they stumbled across an ancient rite that would summon Caelen. The Bartobs made a deal with Cae: his protection for all of Barton in exchange for blood. Since then, Caelen Evernight has been serving as the butler at the Barton Manor and quite enjoying his time being among people who do not mock or scorn him. One of the greatest turning points in his existence was the day an exotic young mage arrived in Barton and befriended the Bartobs. Celestine and Caelen have a Soul Bond that ties their lives together.
It is a fact known only to the most powerful forces in the universe that Caelen could have been the most powerful demon of all time. Had Caelen chose to follow the evil nature of his inheritance, he would have eventually risen to be more powerful than Azrael, the Hell Warden, and Nyx combined. It was only by virtue of his choosing good over evil that this did not happen. He still harbors great power though, and this is one reason why his own kind try so hard to rid Gaia of his existence. If Caelen ever had the will to turn against the demons, there is a high possibility they could all be wiped out. The real question is, will it ever happen?
Details of the Contract: According to the ancient laws governing Gaia any demon who makes a massive contract, such as the one Caelen has made with the whole town of Barton, must abide by the following rules:
1.) No action may be taken by the demon on behalf of the town unless the ruling system of leaders/elders have a majority vote in favor of using the demon's service for a particular task.
2.) Any demon who attempts to act without the afore-mentioned council permission will be banished back to hell to suffer great agony for one thousand years as punishment for defying the ancient powers.
3.) While contracted to a large population, a demon may have a separate one-to-one contract with another individual. Standard rules of singular objective contracts will apply. The demon may act on behalf of their singular contractee.

> Taboo Triple: this is a trio of abilities that Caelen refuses to use unless it's the eleventh hour and there is absolutely no other choice. These are his highest powers, only to be revealed if the world of Gaia encounters a worst-case, doomsday in your face scenario.

All this has limits though. His abilities require energy. Once that energy is used up, he has to refuel or he'll be a sitting duck. That is where his deal with the Bartobs comes in. He draws his energy from the Soul Essence in blood.

* Since Lady L is a Living Star, this means she lives for a very long period of time before "Fading" which is a less violent version of what happens to a regular star at the end of its lifetime. From the cosmic dust particles left behind, Living Stars are reborn, much like the phoenix. However, if the cosmic dust particles are disturbed before they can properly fuse together, the living star cannot be reborn and, ultimately, is gone forever.

Being a highly respected member of the Celestial Guardian Council, the lady always dresses formally. Her luxurious, flowing garments are woven from strands of pure starlight in luminescent white, platinum, and starlight blue. Her glittering jewelry is crafted from platinum and Star Crystals.Lady Lunettarie's star wings are a semi transparent starlight blue with iridescent stardust lavender. A halo of starlight always surrounds the lady.
Personality: Lunette Argent: Grouchy, stubborn, introverted, and oddly enough, a daydreamer. Most of her moody nature comes from the fact that she has a split personality issue due to actually being the human version of a Living Star. Lunette's grouchiness can be calmed by just leaving her be for a while.

Calm, gentle, wise, methodical. The lady is a member of the Celestial Council, which requires much wisdom and tact, both at which she excels. She is soft-spoke for the most part and is not easily excited. The best word for her is serenity.
Likes/Dislikes: Lunette Argent: Considering Lune's list of dislikes is endless, suffice it to say her top dislikes are pink, froufrou girlishness, pink, being called "Lune" or "Luney", people who can't mind their own business, PINK...get the picture? Lunette isn't all sour grapes. She has a secret fondness for MMORPGs and J-Pop from Earth.

We won't see enough of the Lady to know much about her, but she is fond or charity. Being a soldier of justice, Lady L cannot tolerate evil or corruption. She disapproves most strongly of bullies, teasing, and using others for personal gain.

History: Lady Lunettarie was a living star and celestial guardian known as a Star Sentinel. She was also a member of the Celestial Enclave, the governing body of living stars that kept the balance between the negative and positive energies that moved throughout the galaxy. She and the other guardians protected the universe from dark cosmic threats and disturbances. Each planet in the universe that harbored life had a representative guardian, whether it was one of the elite Star Sentinels or some other being. The planet called Gaia was a very young and vulnerable planet, so the Lady was sent there as its representative guardian. For many years she guarded the small planet well. During the great war in which the dragon sorceress Melinda corrupted other dragons to use for her evil schemes, a group of special warriors known as senshi and created by the Goddess Gaia fought to protect the planet. The Goddess Gaia pleaded with Lady Lunettarie to aide the senshi in their struggle. However, since the threat to the planet came from within and not from a force outside the planet, it was out of Lady Lunettarie's jurisdiction. Therefore, she could do nothing. It took much effort, but eventually the senshi defeated the dark forces. Things were quiet for a long period of time then. But the quiet would not remain. Unbeknownst to Lady Lunettarie, one of the greatest enemies of the Celestial Enclave stole away to Gaia with a dastardly plot that would involve the unfortunate Lady. This dark being, whose constellation sign was the serpent, tricked the Lady into a trap, binding her pure Celestial energy in a dark crystal so that it could be more easily corrupted. Lady Lunettarie’s very identity was trapped inside that crystal, while her outer appearance changed. She still possessed great powers, but they were dark now. She forgot who she truly was. All that was left to her was the faint memory of a name…Lunette.
The diminished Lady took on the name of Lunette Argent. At the time of this occurrence, she appeared to be only fifteen years old because of the reverse aging. She was taken in at an orphanage, and met up with some rather interesting characters in school, including the ten-year-old Primrose who would become the leader of the Barton Sailor Scouts.
The events surrounding Prim and Lunette began with their meeting. There was a school mentoring program, sort of like PALS, where older school students would be partnered with a younger elementary student. Lunette was paired with Prim, and that began the odd rivalry. Prim was very peppy and nice to everyone. Lunette was her exact opposite. Sometimes Lunette thought her counselor had paired her with Prim as some attempt to get Lunette to be more outgoing and sociable. It just annoyed her to no end was all. Lunette graduated three years later, thus ending her direct association with Prim. Lune decided to skip college and go straight to work. Being a music lover, she managed to get an entry level retail position at Pulse Edge Music in Barton. Lunette was quite satisfied with her job and life, and would have let it all just glide happily along in a Prim-free world, but it was not to last. Eventually Lunette ran into the 14-year-old Prim. That moment would mark the beginning of Lunette's journey into becoming a Gaia Sailor Scout. It also marked the beginning of a struggle within Lune to discover who she really was.
When the Scouts emerged eventually, Primrose was the leader even though she was much younger than Lunette. Each Sailor Scout had special abilities that related to their unique origins or interests. Being an avid fantasy MMORPG player and lover of the stars, Lunette's abilities took the form of constellation attacks. She felt that she was the stronger Scout with the better strategies, but Prim remained as leader. Lunette resented this, growing ever more mistrustful and jealous. Finally having had enough of no one noticing her, Lunette abandoned the senshi and disappeared for a time. No one knew where she had gone.
The Barton Scouts pressed onward without Lunette, fighting whatever evils came their way. Then one day Lunette Argent showed up out of nowhere, and up to no good. Her absence had been spent in a dark mountain cavern, studying the deepest dark magic in all of Gaia. She was determined to become greater than Primrose, even if it meant being evil. For a while, Lunette and the Scouts clashed. Always the Scouts wondered just what had happened to the person they once called a friend. There had been a time when Lunette had fought side by side with the Scouts.
The small part of Lunette that was still connected with Lady Lunettarie cared very much for the Scouts, who had been her only allies. This impacted the separate personality of Lunette, and even she could not fight her concern for them forever. A day finally came when the Barton Sailor Scouts faced an enemy that was too powerful, even for them. As it turned out, it was the very being that had bound and corrupted Lady Lunettarie. Unwilling to let the Scouts be destroyed by this evil, which Lunette finally recognized as her true nemesis, she pooled all her power and sacrificed herself, ultimately breaking the crystal that bound her true identity, thus freeing the Eternal Celestial Guardian. Together with the Scouts, the Lady Lunettarie defeated her nemesis and saved Barton town. However, the fact remained that a star cannot survive in a human world. She would either have to become human again as Lunette, or leave Gaia and return to the other Guardians. She chose her Gaia friends. Once more she was bound, Lunette returned, but this time she was not blighted by evil. Lunette could now call upon her true self in times of greatest needs. Lunette would still struggle with a case of split personality, but she was no longer the enemy of the Scouts.
Note: Because Lady Lunettarie did not fight in the war with the senshi, no being who remembers the old war will recognize her in her true Star Sentinel form or her diminished form as DarqueStaar, nor will they recognize her unique energy signature. It is ironic then that Lunette's senshi activation line is "Star Sentinel Engage". This is foreshadowing to her true self, though she won't know it until she defeats her nemesis. Only because she is in the mortal form of Lunette can she actively defend the planet from threats from within instead of just from cosmic forces.
Occupation: Lunette Argent: Town Grump! xd But really, she works as a sales associate at Pulse Edge Music, a music store that also deals in video games, movies, and some comics, for her 'normal' job. She is secretly a Barton Sailor Scout...when she isn't causing trouble for the other scouts!

Dark Scorpio Sting- beam of cosmic energy; will destroy most obstacles or incapacitate most enemies; single target; not infallible
Leo Slash- lunar crescent beam from scythe; will take down most objects in it's immediate path before fading out; multiple target; not infallible
Centaurian Rain- scythe becomes hunter's bow, uses star arrow to hit target; will immobilize target for 30 seconds; single target; not infallible
Lunar Pisces- Changes moon phase to effect the tides and cause a combined cosmic/water whirlpool; dispells one positive buff from opponents; opponent cannot use that buff again during the current battle

Known Powers/Abilities: Aylin has the ability to fly, form a ball of light, knows limited pixie magic, and is very good with bladed human weapons and the staff. Aylin's greatest ability is the ability to be able to sense and feel distinctive lines of magic emanating from a being or object and has been referred to, and used, as a living radar system by some. She can also bake breads and pastries, decorate cakes, and create art with cappuccino milk (though not very fast).
Limitations: While Aylin knows pixie magic, she is very limited in what she can do having been banned from using magic for five years as a child. Because of these limits Aylin prefers, and at times relies on, human weapons when fighting. When she does use pixie magic it has the tendency to backfire on Aylin with rather comical results. Aylin also has a tendency to be jealous of her younger siblings and how magic comes easier to them.
Aylin has a minor food allergy to parsnips that causes her skin to become red and slightly puffy. She also has an issue with alcohol because of her size. Aylin can become drunk faster than others. When she is drunk Aylin has been known to become very chatty with anyone around her.
Brief History: Aylin was born into what could be considered a noble family to the Air Clan of pixies on Gaia. She is fifteen minutes older than her twin brother Colin, four years older than her brother Patrick, and six years older than her sister Katie. At the age of four Aylin accidentally blew up a large mansion and four square blocks in Durem when she misread one of the ancient scrolls of the Air Clan. After that incident Aylin was banned from learning or using magic until she was nine. This in turn put her behind her siblings in learning and controlling her magic.
At the age of fourteen Aylin came into contact with the family heirloom broach her grandmother was never without and unlocked the magic contained within it. The broach recognizing strong uncontrolled light based magic within her transformed Aylin into an ancient magical warrior, or Senshi, which caused her great fear over the amount of pure energy flowing through her body. Upon learning her granddaughter was heir to their great ancestor's power, Aylin's grandmother spent the next six unsuccessful years trying to train her to learn how to control and use the Senshi power.
At twenty, Aylin joined the Air Clan military at her overly frustrated grandmother's instance in order to further train her to be prepared for her Senshi mantel. For the next fifteen years she trained in the ways of the Air Clan’s military. At thirty-five Aylin left the military and her home in the vast forests between the Zen Gardens and Durem spending the next ten years exploring Gaia. At forty-five Aylin would meet Orrin Stewart the man she would eventually come to marry in a “fake” wedding ceremony in Barton and again in a proper ceremony in front of the Air Clan five years later.
After fifty years of marriage filled with travel and adventure Orrin died due to a long fight with an illness. In her grief and sorrow Aylin decided to leave her forest home and her family to mourn alone. Aylin vowed to remain away from her clan until she felt her mourning period was over. Taking up residence in Durem Aylin took a job at a small newsstand/bookstore/pastry shop eventually moving in to the flat above it and taking it over when the original owner died three years after she began working there. She has been a resident of Durem for eight years.
However, the adventuring bug had bit Aylin once more and she's since left her shop in the capable hands of her two employees. Looking for something to fill the void in her life and bring back the excitement of her youth Aylin returned to one of the many places she journeyed to in her youth before meeting her late husband Orrin. This decision, although not entirely her own, brought her to Porta Denia to pretty much start all over again even though she still owns her shop in Durem. After the situation n Porta Denia had been resolved, Aylin yearned for some sense of family. Yet, she was still not ready to return back to her home in the village of Almeria. Because of this, Aylin journeyed to Barton Town to live with her sister-in-law and her family in one of the small cottages the family owns while occasionally taking to staying in a room prepared for her at the Barton Manor.
Notes: Aylin has a natural curiosity when it comes to humans and has often spent days away from the clan’s home growing up observing them. In her flat Aylin keeps a small collection of bladed weapons mounted on the walls in her meditation and exercise space. As a part of her overall “business” look, Aylin has adopted to wearing bifocal reading glasses at times. She claims she doesn’t need them and that they’re just for looks but in reality Aylin doesn’t want to admit that her eyes are going a bit with age. The most common side effect to her magic going wrong has been two little horns on her head. Aylin has grown quite used to having the horns randomly appear on her when she messes up a spell.
Although she is technically the oldest and by right the heir to the family and the head of her clan Aylin has no interest in running the Air Clan. She easily passed the buck to her twin brother who was more than willing to take on the role as the family heir. However, Aylin will still readily represent her clan in diplomatic matters.
Aylin is quite loyal to her friends and family. She is known to have a mischievous streak pulling pranks on her close friends and the occasional human. Aylin has taken a vow to not return home until she feels she has properly mourned the death of Orrin, her human husband of fifty years.
Aylin also happens to be idolized by some of the younger members of the Barton Regulars because of her marriage to Orrin. They trade around stories of her time traveling with and being married to the former member of the Regulars like they're folklore and legend. Their favorite stories involve her comedic "fake" wedding and how it eventually brought her clan into a more public light.

Origins/History: Seren considered herself a normal teenage girl till the day a chance encounter with a scout battle awoke the powers sleeping inside her. Unknown to Seren or any member of her family is the fact that her grandmother is from Elthem a planet closest to the center of the Rose Nebula, just one of the many places that stars are born from. Her grandmother was the Sailor Protector of the Nebula, who when she was 18 became aware of arranged marriage for her and fled from the Nebula.
Eventually she reached Gaia and proceeded to fall in love and make Gaia her new home, she is well aware that Seren is Midnight Rose and attempts to offer Seren advice as best she can with out revealing the truth. However she know's some day Seren must be told the truth of where her powers stem from, for she knows in her heart that Elthem and the Nebula will need the power of it's protector someday soon as a dark presence has haunted her dreams for many years.

Personality Terra: Warm, friendly, and easygoing. Terra is very outgoing and loves meeting new people, though some consider her too boisterous and often overwhelms those she meets for the first time. She is very energetic and easily excitable, and often rushes headfirst into situations as a result. She shows great loyalty to those she considers her friends, especially Aeris, and she isn't shy about showing it. She does, however, like to crack jokes at the expense of her friends and give them nicknames. Regardless, she will defend her friends and her new home of Barton with a fiery passion that cannot be matched. Anyone who finds themselves as the target of that passion will swiftly be brought to justice. Aeris: Refined and reserved. First impressions of Aeris would lead one to believe she's antisocial and even stuck-up, but that couldn't be further from the truth. She's simply a quiet person who tends to keep to herself, but doesn't mind being around others either. Many people are just intimidated by her prim and proper manner of speech, her blank and expressionless face, and her wealthy background. While Aeris does have a certain poise about her, she conducts herself with humility and is disgusted by those who act self-important. On the other hand, she hates being stuck inside and is very uncomfortable in cold weather. The greatest of all her dislikes, however, is glitter. She avoids glitter like the plague, literally. And while she has no problem poking fun at people, she handle the taste of her own medicine. Aeris: Aeris is quite enamored with Gaian history, especially the history of the Senshi. She has read every source of information (at least, to her knowledge) of the Senshi that has been made available to every day Gaians. (The collection of the Barton Manor, personal accounts from those who were there, and anything passed down via oral tradition are some sources that elude her.) There exists an extensive collection of books within her home containing information on a wide variety of subjects. Aeris often spends her free time here or at any number of libraries throughout Barton, trying to satisfy her thirst for knowledge. She doesn't really like being outdoors, unless it's rather cold and windy. When she isn't at a library, she'll be at a cafe, enjoying a nice cup of tea. She will often engage in intelligent debate with her friends, either online or off. She dislikes hot weather, coffee, and people who are willfully ignorant.
History Terra: Terra grew up in a remote area far to the south of Barton Town. Her house was seemingly in the middle of nowhere, though it served her parents well. They were two accomplished scientists who used the house as a staging area for their field work. Oftentimes they had to leave Terra as they went on long research expeditions. She was never alone, however; Terra had a caretaker who knew her since birth and would watch over her and school her for much of her childhood. A curious child, Terra dreamed of following in her parents' footsteps as a scientists -- a geologist in particular. Her caretaker would help nurture her interests by going out with her to explore the many landmarks that surrounded their home. As Terra grew older, her caretaker would allow her a little bit more freedom, and it wasn't long before the young girl was exploring caves and other places on her own. There was one particular cave she grew fond of; it was relatively close to her home and within were very strange, yet beautiful crystals, unlike any she had ever seen before.
It was a charmed life, and a great childhood thus far, but Terra's caretaker worried about how lonely she might be as she became a teen; there were no other kids her age nearby, and the nearest school was hours away in Barton Town. To remedy this, the caretaker introduced Terra to the internet. Terra was hooked almost instantly. Whenever she wasn't out exploring or being schooled, she was doing research on the internet and making friends with people around the world. As Terra neared the age of 17, however, she began to feel as though she were missing out on life. She was out in the middle of nowhere, and while she could explore to her heart's content, she really had no one to interact with outside of her caretaker. More than anything else, she wanted to meet people face-to-face. One night she boldly came out to her caretaker and asked that she go to Barton High School. Her caretaker was skeptical at first, but saw that Terra was starting to outgrow her little neck of the woods and agreed that it would be for the best that Terra spread her wings. The caretaker helped Terra arrange trips to Barton Town to meet with administrators, file applications, set up a class schedule, and buy school supplies. She also arranged for Terra to live on her own in Barton Heights, a suburb to the south of the main town, to drastically ease her commute. All was set for Terra to enter Barton High School in the 11th grade. With any luck, she would meet some of the friends she made online.
The night before she was set to move, something profound happened that would unknowingly change the young girl's life entirely. Terra decided to explore her favorite cave one last time. This time, the strange crystals were glowing even more brightly than usual, almost as if to direct Terra to a certain area of the cave. After about an hour of spelunking, Terra discovered a massive chamber in a new corner of the cave. The chamber had an eerie feel to it, like that of a tomb. In the center, light from higher up in the cave funneled down and illuminated what appeared to be a large specimen of the same crystals that made up the cave. As Terra approached, the chamber filled with a strange ambient humming, and the large crystal flashed a blinding light. As the light faded away, all that remained was a necklace made of the crystal, floating in midair in front of the teen. The crystal necklace seemed to call out to her, but once she reached for it, the entire chamber shook violently. She scooped up the necklace and darted out of the cave, only to watch it collapse just as she made it out. Upon getting home, she took a careful look at the necklace to try and get some answers. She would remain puzzled for weeks after she found it, but soon her attention would have to shift to the start of the school year and whatever it may bring. Great uncertainty would await Terra. Her only hope was that she wouldn't have to face it alone.
Aeris: Aeris was born and raised in Barton Town to one of the wealthiest families in perhaps all of Gaia. Her family, the Norfolks, could trace their lineage to aristocrats and nobles from long ago. Despite this, Aeris was raised to be humble and to always help those in needs. Her parents did not want to raise a spoiled child and wanted Aeris to carry on the family name with honor. They were known for their philanthropy and for destroying stereotypes one might have about the wealthy. Instead of living in a massive manor much like the ones found in Durem or the Isle de Gambino, they lived in a large, yet modest house in comparison. Aeris would attend the same schools as the other kids in Barton instead of being home-schooled. She would live as normal a life as possible, though she was not clueless to the wealth she had.
Always a bit of a recluse, Aeris spent most of her time at home whenever she wasn't at school. The library within her house rivaled that of any in town and she had a great desire for knowledge of many things. Of particular interest to her was a story that she first heard as a toddler -- one that her parents would tell her before bed. While all history interested Aeris, the tales of the legendary Senshi of Gaia became sort of an obsession for her. Much of her early teenage years were spent exploring libraries throughout the four cities of Gaia in search of whatever information she could find. Her research would eventually lead her to a local jewelry shop, one not known to most people, where she swore she remembered seeing an old artifact related to the senshi. As she entered, she noticed a faint glow from the back of the shop, one that she had never seen before. Aeris pestered the shopkeeper, who she had known all her life, until finally she yielded. She brought to Aeris a box with a faint light shining through the cracks and set it down on the counter. Curious as to how Aeris found out about such a thing, the shopkeeper asked the young teen what she knew about the senshi and their artifacts. The young teen couldn't help but unload everything she possibly knew, much to the shopkeeper's delight, and she did. However, the shopkeeper still would not hand over the box, much to Aeris' dismay. When asked why, the shopkeeper posed a simple question to the eager young teen. "Why is it, do you think, that this box glows?" she asked. "If you struggle to answer, you might benefit from knowing that the box did not glow until you set foot in my shop." Aeris took a moment to sift through all the information she knew. It was a simple question with a simple answer, but it was not one that she could accept. She looked up to the shopkeeper with great confusion and shook her head in denial and anger before bursting out of the store. She needed even more answers.
The young teen returned home and confronted her parents. Did they know the whole time? And if they did, why didn't they say anything? And how could she have not discovered this? Every book she found that described the many senshi did so in great detail, providing names, a description of appearance, and even portraits. Every book she found also appeared to have pages missing, which she initially paid little attention to. But with all the research she had done, she reached the conclusion that the missing pages would have provided information on at least two separate senshi. When she found a book describing the many senshi artifacts, she found a loose piece of paper with no words or pictures on it that described too artifacts: a crystal necklace with an orange glow, and a pair of crystal bracelets that shined blue. The bracelets are what drew her to the jewelry shop in the first place, as she swore she saw them there before. Everything pointed to one conclusion, one that her parents had hid from her until now. To answer all of her daughter's questions, they took her back to the jewelry store. The shopkeeper at last opened up the box, revealing the bracelets and several torn pages underneath it. Each page provided information on the two missing senshi. One, a strong woman with fiery orange hair named "Terra". And the other, an intelligent woman with wavy blue locks. Her name was Aeris. The young teen repeatedly asked why she shared her name with one of the legendary senshi. Not because she didn't know the answer, but because she was still in disbelief. The implications were many. But while many questions were finally answered, there still remained one. Who was Terra, and how might Aeris find her? She knew of a few people online with usernames derived from Terra, but she didn't know any with the real name of Terra. As the school year approached and Aeris prepared for 11th grade, she couldn't help but feel distracted. What was going to happen this year? And would she be alone to deal with it?

Style: Relaxed formal wear often with a somewhat of a distinctive cardigan and tie , often leaning in to a darker Platte in colors Seldom can Leif be seen in a rather casual attire strolling about his residence in a house coat with unkempt hair and a cup of coffee in hand at all times with some sort of book in hand.
Personality: Calm, fairly introverted and sweet Leif isnt really one to speak up most of the time but is more then willing to help others out as a general rule of thumb and expect nothing in return. Though rarely one can catch him making a bit of small chat once you get to know him and his slightly odd sense of humor. He can be seen by most people as a bit wise and at times burnt out for his age seeing a cynical truth but often hiding it with a more tactful and friendly answer to a question or problem someone might have.

initially coming from a unnamed small frozen isle far to the north of gambio isle at the fringes of the world were its almost always winter. the night sky rests for months of the year and celestial events occur and are observed frequently. Though on one occasion several centuries ago a comet came out of a burnt out Celestial Body crashing in to the frozen waters. Quickly it sank and frozen in to the waters before rising back closer to the surface.. one of the local residents was out out fishing one day countless years later came across Leif frozen in his icy world from the oceans. upon being taken out happy , healthy and most assuredly colder then the waters that housed him. so his " parents " dragged him out of the ice, largely white lied to him not to go back to the ice caps and hid some of his extra features and welcomed him in to their house like a son they never had. Though known to the tribe and other locals, the celestial plain that Leif calls home no longer exists and so it will he his last cycle of re incarnation. His previous incarnates having given aid to them on occasion through out time and largely offered up sagely advice to the locals. It was a hard day to see Leif leave as he had both unfortunately burnt down his " parents home" trying to cook and partly knowing that others needed aid.
As so it was with a heavy heart he embarked on his long voyage from home to the south, to the isle of gambio
Leif calls his hidden Features through the medallion in the form of armor that lasts only temporarily but could be fixed by actually "Awakening" his memories. but despite all this he still has an actual beating heart, innocent love for people and a want to make things better place.

Aurora cross: a quick pass utilizing the outside edge of the wings for a cutting edge. the power decreases with time of contact due to drag and dulling and leave them brittle and prone to breakage, therefore after a two minutes of contentious use its dull and porcelain like in durability.
Cygnid flurry: A fast release of energy from both palms and the metallic wings/ wings discharged as a fury of feathers and dissipates with distance, The major draw back is the amount of energy required to start and maintain the attack and that the wings can not be broken to use this attack.
Proto Tempest: Leif's most destructive and effective ability. Burning the energy that holds and keep Leif a solid form can actually be condensed in to Energy and shaped such as a sword, beam, ect. if used in a ranged fashion it is tremendously explosive often vaporizing material it comes in contact with, though if used as a blade or solid object the energy binds and enhances its cutting / blocking potential but wears faster with more intense usage before fading out all together. The main catch is every time Leif uses this part of him is permanently lost depending on how much energy is spent and can kill him by over usage.
Defensive:
Helio Borealis: Burning almost all of his energy Leif can turn himself in to a statue made of feathers meant to scatter in the wind, and infact will move entirely in one direction in a wave like manner, the downsides are he must be calm to activate this and secondly can not return to his original form unless all the feathers are back together.
Song of Amor: Leif's least used and most dangerous ability, Fanning both wings inward and channeling almost all of his power he can swap places with a person by utilizing fast shifting winds. The major draw back and flaw is that he is very vulnerable to what ever he is swapping to any event occurring in the area as it takes several seconds for him to adjust to the swapped location and realize whats happening. note this ability is not infallible and is limited to visual range so if he cant see past his hands he cant swap past that.

Personality: In public Nykyrain is a charismatic ,funny and generally well rounded intellectual who skates by with out suspicion as the life of a party or class not quite being disruptive but still giving everyone a sense of humor and slight non critical jab at everyday quirks. though in all actuality in a carefully crafted Facadè for one simple purpose to avoid detection and suspicion for the absolute abhorrent things that he does without remorse. He is the classical Evil, with out pity , reason and seemingly with out emotion and will whisper that sweet corrupting darkness to any listening ear for the sake of causing evil and strife. as he will himself say to those souls in there last fleeing moments. An elder Arch demon residing in the infernal realm Nykyrian had no real emotion after his fall from grace and despotion from many brithrights, he sits alone in the nightmare he has created Angry, Bitter and hateful of the gift Desecrated countless millennia ago. Sealed well under Barton for crimes he did not entirely commit in the days of lore. The demon whom wanted to transcend his sins and live a simple life fell from his virtue leaving but a broken heart and lovelessness to those whom wished for his redemption, and in those moments spite befell him and he was cast down to be sealed for what was to be an eternity. Though that is how the Legend ends the demonic prince sealed for eternity . . . But as of late the seal has slowly been cracking and the demon awake with new emotions sensing a slow rise of darkness above with clashing of warriors of light. Though for now he remains bound to his prison Nykyrian sits yearning for the day of his release to exact his revenge on the world and heavens above for their swift sovereign justice and the taking of one thing he loved.
Nyks powers exceed most old magics and even diabolic magics from the eons past and can if left alone for a fairly loooong period of time with reasonable contact with infernal energy regain them fully, though currently having been awakened from his slumber and secluded for so long his power needs time to re manifest fully leaving him severely weakened.
Currently Known Offensive powers:
Momento Mori: Utilizing the evil in anyone and himself He may cause it to physically manifest in to objects or attempt to push / pierce it in to someone via physical contact with his hands. The evil may manifest itself in some with or with out powers and simply be burnt out with senshi or lightwarrior magic equal to what was put in. If used as a manifestation The sharp edges can cut through fabric , stone and in some cases metals depending on the concentration and amount of evil being expended.
(Note: choice is up to those being targeted with the evil if it succeeds or fails. and or other side effects it may have then being slightly more rude then usual. In addition it will not physically leave a mark if harmed but will ruin that nice new shirt and make you really more angry about it then you should. )
Barghest Assault: usable only at Night or in darkness. Summoning a Large monstrous dog like Using his own Evil energy Nyk can call forth a dog to cause terror, or large chaos in single night, The creature can operate independently of him and will always disappear with a great deal of light magic or with day light. Though the hound is limited to the to town of barton currently as Nyk resides with in the town.
Infernal Invictus : Opening a small rift in to the infernal plains he hails from A torrent of brimstone, flame and burning embers rain down causing catastrophic results with in the area of target usually 12 square blocks in dimension it has a tell tale signs of a large temperature change in the negative direction, a sharp reddening of the sky and nyk holding up both arms to channel the energy required to force open and maintain the rift. if interrupted the rift will instantly seal and the tempature will return to normal.
Known Defensive Abilities :
Virtute et armis: Controlling and manipulating nearby shadows Nykyrian can drag anyone willing and himself in to the shadows and appear at another shadow almost anywhere, the main way of motion is by traveling from shadow to shadow but if no links exist he must exit and then re enter taking several minutes between dives and only seconds for the first.
Dutiful Aegis: calling upon his own evil Nyk can create a wall or shield to absorb magic and corrupt those foolish enough to make physical contact with it. often it is used as a deterrent and can be broken with sufficient magic or force.
Style: Ayle normally wears a light blue shirt with a black tie and a purple vest over it for tops. She has a matching purple skirt with black leggings and black boots. She wears a pair of black or brown gloves and sunglasses almost always. She has a Kuro Gang sword for a weapon that is kept with her at all times.
Personality: Ayle is cold and distant at her most benign. She has a massive superiority complex and manifests this by treating others like vermin. She doesn't make friends as a result and more often than not will do everything possible to make those around her miserable.
Likes/Dislikes: Ayle utterly hates most Gaians. She is compelled on an instinctual level to revile them. She also doesn't like sun light, or light in general, or heat. She does like cold and darkness and has a fondness for caves, catacombs, and basements. She also despises natural life and natural beauty.
Origins: Ayle is an ancient life form created by Nyx. While serving him, she was a monstrous creature that was sent to destroy life. She could draw the life energy out of all living things and was much feared. However, like her master, she was fated to fall. Ayle was defeated and her body destroyed. She was able to keep her essence alive, however and she waited for centuries, deep within the ground, to be reborn. Sadly, for a young girl exploring an excavated housing site in Barton, Ayle was reborn through her. Ayle drained the life force out of her and then consumed the body taking on it's form. She has lost much of her former power over the ages but is still dangerous and still bears the mark of her master in the form of a light blue tattoo on her left hand in the form of Nyx's seal.
