All he wants to do is roleplay, talk about wrestling or make characters on WWE 2k14.
While I'm totally cool with all of that, that's literally all we do 24/7. I'd like something more out of out friendship, plz. Like maybe regular conversations, maybe. Perhaps about how our day went, what movies we want to watch, etc.
-insert 'eye roll' emote-
On a side note, ******** BetterGaia somehow 'misplaced' the emotes, so now I have to actually type them out, except for the ones I can't remember.

I have a habit of doing that. And, if he does it for the same reason as I, maybe he doesn't think what other things he has to talk about will interest you.. or he doesn't wanna bore you ? And maybe, if it's that, the only way to change that is if you lead the conversation instead ? lol

Ali has the right idea
Also, I love RP and if I could get away with it I would totally do it 24/7.

I side with Kero. I could totally understand if he thinks he'll bore you if you talk about something else. If you don't want to be very direct about your wanting to discuss other topics, then you should try to begin a new topic with him about movies, etc. Push him in a direction. If it seriously is still an issue then talk to him about it.

@Ali, Pav: No, because I'm an idiot that doesn't want to hurt his feelings. Well, the other day I did mention that I was sick of roleplaying (I think I was pretty clear about it). What does he do? Just gives me the "D:" face then goes back to playing xbox or whatever the hell he was doing. What did we do after he was done? He starts roleplaying with me.
@Kero, Scar:
I understand that, but this has been going on for about two-three years (basically the majority of the time I've known him). The times when we're not doing all that, the conversation is pretty much dead, which he's acknowledged before. I try to switch topics and talk about something else, but that usually doesn't last long before he pretty much turns it around and makes it into an RP or something. Either that or it turns into some debate due to our very different views.
It's kinda hard to explain. I'm starting to think it's due to our age difference. I'm older than him so maybe it's a maturity thing?

Could be. Maybe you should just accept that you aren't getting what you want out of the friendship and move on? I mean maybe you should think of him as just a roleplaying friend. Clearly this is bothering you - bothering you enough that you want to write about it. So maybe it would do you well if you just stopped bothering with him.

Not to be a d**k, Insy, but I think this is a good point.
