The Summoning
Koray had been hearing this tolling for about two hours now, the youth managed to convince his bodyguards to let him walk around the edge of the forest. He gradually felt himself drifting further in, something guiding the youth towards the unknown. He heard so many new sounds...felt different air currents than the ones he was used to and smelled...everything that he adored. He always loved being among nature and right now was no different. The youth felt the air get colder, almost as if something was drawing him...Underground.
He barely remembered ever finding his way through the tunnels. The tolling getting louder and more clear as he went, feeling as if something was guiding him by the hand as he went. He entered into an area where he didn't hear or feel anything...by this point the youth was under the full sway of something else...
Koray had no memory of what went on, only vague sensations of nicking his finger once and muttering something about being sightless. Then...darkness. Koray groaned weakly as he shifted about weakly pulling himself up. He felt something headbutt his side and he jumped, letting out an unmanly squeak as he did so.
"What-What....is....this...?" he suttured as he reached out, feeling something small and fluffy nudge his hand. Koray's breath caught in his throat as he sensed...something...more from the small creature. He shifted till the small thing leaped into his arms. He felt the creature over and realized two things, A- this was a puppy and B- it was licking a small nick on the palm of his right hand. He pulled his hand out of the puppy's face to hum, "Rather interesting...you like blood?"
The puppy yipped before nuzzling the human's neck, Koray giggled, "All right, all right...easy little one. I need---"
"Young Master!!!!" Koray jumped at hearing the voice of his closest bodyguard, Moritmer C. Veil. The youth felt the elder male lift him up, "What happened to your cane? Did you lose it in the Forest?"
Koray shurgged, "I guess I did, Morty. This little one helped me find my way back...can I keep him?"
Mortimer looked down at the small pup before sighing, "Fine. You can keep it--"
"Him. The pup is a he." Koray corrected.
Morty chuckled, "Very well, young master. Let's return home."
Koray nuzzled the pup feeling joy and excitment, "Soon, you'll be home...Sanguinex."
Mortimer glanced to the pup before smiling at the child he practically raised.
Not sure if I need this or not...but here's a little side summoning for Latte.
Koray felt Sanguinex nuzzle his leg again for the third time that afternoon, the human chuckled as he put his book down. The human spoke, "What is it Nyx?"
Sanguinex nuzzled the hand before replying,
"I'm bored...we should grow something..."Koray blinked, "What do you mean?"
The hound stood before padding over to the window. Koray heard every move and then Snaguinex gave him an image of seeds sitting on the outside of the windowsill. Koray stood before following Sanguinex's path to come to stand next to the other. He opened the window slowly then reached out to scoop up the seeds. He smiled, "These?"
Sanguinex nodded,
"Yeah...what can we do?"Koray walked out to his door before opening in. Morty stood next to the door, glancing over his shoulder at the youth, "What's up little master?"
Koray smiled, "Morty, can you get me supplies to plant these seeds? I wanna put the plant on my patio. You said I could try to grow something soon right?"
Morty sighed,"I did..." The bodyguard got the items required then, under Sanguinex's watchful gaze guided his Young Master through the steps. Morty placed the pot just outside of the double doors leading out onto Koray's private patio. The hound at his master's side watched everything, sitting next to the youth as Koray smiled.
"Thank you, Morty. Sanguinex...say thank you." Koray let his hand fall on the hound's head, the hound obeyed with a gentle bark at the older human.
Morty chuckled before leaving, "I'll bring you lunch in a few hours."
Months passed, Koray felt and saw glimpses of a flower budding in the pot. He grew excited to see what the full plant would be like. The human would get to see the full flower, but...it had something attached to it. When Koray woke one morning, Sanguinex was sniffling around something...
"Nyx...what is it?" Koray muttered.
"Something has the flower on its head, it won't let me near it...Kori...come over here. You're nicer than me." Sanguinex said bluntly.
The human grumbled before kicking off his blankets before shuffling over to his now open balcony doors. He heard a small bleet before kneeling down, "Nyx...dont' be a bully..."
Koray jumped as he felt a small little nudge to his side, The human reached out to pat the small...deer...how cute. Koray reached out to pick up the small creature, turning to walk back inside. Sanguinex padded after him,
"It smells really sweet, I don't think its the flower per say...but...""Latte." Koray said as he sat down to feel over the creature. The small deer seemed the thrive under the touches before licking at Koray's left hand.
"Huh?" Sanguinex paused with a blank look.
"Latte, its a sweet smell. That's what he reminds me of." Koray said letting the small creature nuzzle him to familiarize itself with the human's scent.
"How do you know its male?" The hound asked padding over to jump up to lay at Koray's side. Latte looked at the hound in slight fear, only alived by the human's gentle touch.
"A feeling I have." Koray said turning to face Sanguinex. The hound stretched his neck out to sniff at the deer. Latte returned the gesture.
"Okay...so, we have a new member of our family. Sweet." Sanguinex said as Latte ventured out to curl into his side. Koray chuckled.
