Rules
1. Don't be an idiot. That should be as read, but we should make it clear.
2. Don't attempt to intimidate, harass, or otherwise interfere with other players.
3. No, seriously, don't.
4. Remember that this is fun, and is supposed to be fun!
5. Each player may attempt to claim one Weyrling from this event.
6. If you won a dragon before the grand opening of Dragonbraved and have chosen to place them in this clutch you may enter for a second Weyrling but you can only go for blue or green. If there is a shortage of greens and blues in the end however we would appreciate it if you would step back to allow people who don’t have a weyrling yet to have a better chance. There are a lot of greens and blues to be had though so we doubt it will be an issue!

The last clutch laid at High Reaches by Jr. Gold #2 is growing up fast and the young dragons are nearly ready for their first solo flight! Want to play one of them? You're in the right place! This is mainly a simple character approval process but there may be a bit of competition involved depending on who wants what.
This clutch contained 37 eggs. There were:
17 greens (1 claimed by custom raffle: Silver_tigress18: 16 available)
11 blues (1 claimed through previous event [Dart frog], 10 available)
7 browns (1 staff, 1 claimed though previous event [Hyena], 5 available)
2 bronzes
If you won a dragon prior to the opening, want to put them in the weyrling class and don't see them here please let us know and we will insert them for you!
As you can see that's plenty of dragons for everyone with quite an impressive number of browns and bronzes too! Your dragon and rider may be new concepts, pairs you have written both members of yourself in another RP, or characters from Sands of Pern (they don’t need to have been weyrlings in Sands, older characters being turned in weyrlings is fine) but in this case you must give due credit for the writing of the dragon.
Applications for weyrlings will be open for three weeks. Final approval (in principle) to a concept doesn't need to be given by the end of that period but if you are going for a 'maxed out' colour you will lose your chance if you haven't replied to any feedback posted. To explain further, here is how things will work along with the rules!
Guidelines and Information - Please read these fully, and if you’re unclear on anything feel free to ask about it!
General:
- Please remember that in Dragonbraved, unlike most Pern RPs, riders do not elide their names until they graduate from Weyrlinghood!
- Please post your application(s) form straight in the character application forum
- Please use this format for the title: [WEYRLING] (Rider’s name) of (colour dragon’s name)
- Hatchlings are limited to the numbers stated above. If more than the stated number are applied for we will decide who gets them by:
---- Whether or not the player been responding to any feedback posted on their application. If yes they move onto the full selection.
---- Those who got to this point will be entered into a raffle which will be drawn in public using Gaia's random number generator. Numbers will be assigned based on the order the entries went up in so there can be no argument over who should have had which number.
---- The winners of the raffle get the spot and can move onward with the approval process if their app was not already approved in principle.
- You can state a range of colours you would be happy with. For example if I was trying to get Vehemeth (a dragon I had as a bronze at Sands) I might put blue/brown/bronze in the colour section. If both brown and bronze were maxed out I would first be entered into a raffle for him to become a bronze. If I didn't get lucky here I would go into the brown raffle. If I was out of luck again Vehemeth would become a blue, unless we had more than 11 blue entries in which case I would go into a raffle again.
---- However! Those who only enter for a brown or for blue/brown will get an extra ticket above anyone who entered for brown/bronze if it comes to rolling for browns. This is because effectively the brown/bronze person had two chances as well (they were rolled for and missed out on the bronze, and are now being rolled for brown), so somebody trying for brown as their top preference from the start should get a fair chance. In this case numbering will still go in order that apps went up so if Con entered first with a baby brown Kyoth she would be tickets 1-2, if my app had gone up next and Vehemeth missed out on being bronze I would be ticket 3, and a brown preference entry posted after Vehemeth who was also open to a blue would be 4-5. If blues are maxed too out this rule would carry on down: pure blue entries get three tickets, blue/brown get one (they had two chances in the brown raffle making three tickets for them overall), blue/bronze/brown get one (again, three tickets overall).
If you are transferring a dragon written in Sands of Pern you must:
-- Note that fact at the end of the dragon's personality.
-- Link to their approved profile and dragon information in the space provided.
-- Usual transfer rules required re: completed RPs needed to introduce them do not apply for this event. This is a good opportunity to bring in a pair you want to play in Dragonbraved but for whatever reason didn’t play much in Sands.
-- Sorry, no golds.
-- You can change the colour of your dragon if you want but only down the size scale so a gold can be any other colour, a bronze can be any chromatic, brown can be blue or green and a blue could become a green. The dragon’s personality cannot change.
-- If you are changing the dragon’s colour you may change their pattern if you wish.
-- You cannot change the rider’s personality but you can change their gender, sex or sexuality if you want to. You can also change their appearance if you’d like to.
-- History will have to be changed to fit our canon.
-- You may transfer firelizards with your character if they had them in Sands but you must have a good explanation of how your character got any you do bring! Candidates and Weyrlings are not paid so they couldn’t have saved up during their time at the Weyr. Please note that having multiple firelizards is heavily discouraged for Candidates and Weyrlings; a Candidate or Weyrling getting a second flitt would also get a severe talking to about humility and responsibility, probably extra chores for quite a while too. Please please do consider logic here, he chances of a young person having even one firelizard are very slim and bringing multiple firelizards will not make them cool and special, please only do so if it makes sense for the character within this setting. If you are transferring a firelizard you must link to their cert.
