Hunter DnD Game: Skye’s Brilliant Idea

We’re still working out the kinks in this but Skye and I have been tossing around the idea for a while and want to see if anyone else would be interested. We don’t care if you’ve ever played DnD before but if you think your character might be into it please let us know! Anyone, new or old, to the game will be welcome. We figured this might be a fun way for new people to meet on the island and for the nerdier folk to have a bit of fun and distraction. And, you know, make someone else suffer for a bit.

Players would be able to not only RP their characters with everyone at the game but RP their character RPing too. We’re fully expecting things to get silly because of this and welcome it!

Premis:
Arland, roping Inoke into admitting he’s a nerd, decided he wanted to get back to playing Dungeons and Dragons. Between the two of them they’ve managed to smuggle some stuff onto the island so that small games can be run.

How it will work:

• Skye Starrfyre (Arland) will (most likely) be DMing.
  
• Games will be run with 4 players, possibly 5 (including Inoke)
  
• Smaller game sizes will make them games easier to control and make sure they don’t run on forever.
  
• Most likely we will be playing with 4.0 rules since those are simpler (even if 3.5 is better) with premade campaigns that Arland or Inoke have been able to bring in from the human world.
  
• We will use the Gaia dice system for all rolling needs.
  
• Players will be given pre-made characters for the start for ease of everyone keeping track. Depending on how it goes we might eventually branch into letting players make their own XD

Right now we're looking to see if anyone is interested and if anyone would volunteer to play in a test game so Skye and I can work out some kinks and see about how long this will take. We'll want to max the test game out to 3 other people (so 4 PC's total including Inoke)

I'm probably going to take some of my next day off to browse through some premade campaigns for starters. Figure it'd be best to start with something simple enough to give everyone a chance to get used to the mechanics (and test out how it's going to work on Gaia/with the dice).

I mean... What better way to relax and spend time off from fighting monsters than by pretending to be a badass who fights monsters? XD

JUST AN UPDATE ON THIS:

This is still something that we VERY MUCH want to do and involve as many people as we can in. It'd be a great way to get to know others and I've already grabbed a few campaign things to peer over for short ideas.

The hold up is currently that Grym and I are getting ready to move again and work has been... Less than accommodating while we're going through all of this (second time moving in less than 6 months).

It is always my hope that once we get settled in somewhere we can start having more brain/doing more fun things, etc. THAT SAID. I'd love to start meeting characters, setting up the grounds for things. Meeting people, forming connections with people who might want to play to make it easier to get in touch with them ICly once it starts and so on.

I desperately want someone to talk Taym into this I am so mad at him for thinking he's too cool for this THIS IS GREAT BASICALLY IS WHAT I AM SAYING you have my support I will watch from the sidelines WITH ENVY
