These rules are in regards to battles between 2+ Team Aqua Members in the Stadium setting

Basic Rules:

1. All battles must have a certified referee in order for them to count towards evolution. Battles held on AIM, GIM, or any other instant messenger don't count.

2. The battle must take place in Aqua's Stadium (this sub-forum).

3. The referee will ask for your Pokemon's information: usually species, gender, ability, item and moveset (which is optional). Please provide the ref with the information they request.

4. The referee will state the battle rules (If there will be a time limit, restricted attacks, etc.) and post the attacking order and HP of the Pokemon.

5. Depending on who will be attacking first, one of the battlers will call out an attack and then the next person in line battling will state an attack. You then wait for the ref to post that turn's results. You keep following this cycle until the battle is over.

6. You cannot dodge attacks during battle. (Ex: Mudkip! Dodge Plusle's Thunderbolt, then attack with Hydro Pump!) The ref will decide whether an attack hits based on its accuracy.

Additional info:

Attacks: You may use any attack your Pokemon can learn and this is not limited to only four in battle unless you're using a moveset (which you would send with your pokemon info). This means Learned Moves, TM and HM Moves, Egg Moves, Tutor Moves, and Aqua Ball Moves (If the ref permits them).

Items: Items from your pack may not be used. Period. Held items are usually allowed, but the final decision is up to the ref. He or she may declare no held items, or put restrictions on which items are usable. (It's pretty rare for a ref to restrict items)

Levels, EXP, IVs, EVs, etc.: We do not use levels, thus there is no EXP earned. Also IVs and EVs are not used, we use a Pokemon's Base or Max stats in battle. However, all pokemon on your team gain 1 Evo Point after the battle is over.

Reffing: For more info on how to become a ref, check out the Ref Certification topic in the Stadium Forum. If you have a problem with the job a referee did, (unfair reffing, etc.) for a battle of yours, or someone else's, please talk with Brian or Ginji and they will help to sort out your problem.

Battle Rules: The rules for a battle are determined by the referee. Each referee has their own set of rules and ref different ways. This includes choice of Stadium.

Holographic Stadiums: There are a wide selection of 'Holosseums' available for use. Find them in this thread. You may ask the ref to use one, or the ref may choose one at his or her discretion. To suggest a new stadium, please use the Idea Board.
