In order to referee battles in the Stadium, you need to be an official Team Aqua Referee!
In order to get this high honor, you must complete two tests (below) and PM them to an Instructor (also below). If you pass both tests, then you will be able to take the Practical Exam. The Practical Exam consists of being the Referee for a match between two Aquans while your performance is judged by one of the Ref instructors.
Upon certification you will receive a Ref Uniform, an Official Team Aqua Referee Badge, Two Flags (Red and Green respectfully), an Official Coin (heads and tails included!).
You must have an Instructor who will teach you everything. The following people are Instructors: Brian Link (?) Ginji of Thunder

Test 2: Battle Simulator
These 10 scenarios are typical situations for a Referee to handle. Assume all Pokemon are Level 100 and have Max Stats for all calculations. All attacks do the average amount of damage. Also, please be explicit with the order of attacks and their effect.
NOTE: Some question will ask for DAMAGE done, this can be above the max HP of a Pokemon and is calculated independent of the Pokemon's HP. Other questions will ask for the HP of a Pokemon after a scenario, in these questions, HP can not go below zero, and if it hits zero, the Pokemon is knocked out.
1 ) A Snorlax holding a Hard Stone and using Fling does how much damage to a Scyther?
2 ) A Dugtrio unleashes a Magnitude 5 against a Steelix, what is the damage done to Steelix?
3 ) In a double battle, a team of Gastrodon and Vaporean both use Surf against a team of Jolteon and Snorlax. Gastrodon has the ability Storm Drain, Vaporeon has Water Absorb and Snorlax is holding an Assault Vest. What is the damage done to each Pokemon by Vaporeon and Gastrodon? (NOTE: Negative is acceptable).
4 ) In this situation, we are going to assume Thunder will miss if it is not under the effects of Rain Dance. On the turn Ampharos Mega-Evolves, it uses Thunder against a Huntail that is using Rain Dance. On the second turn, Mega-Ampharos uses Thunder again while Huntail attacks with Brine. Assuming no Hidden Abilities are available, in what order to the attacks happen? On which turns does Thunder hit?
5 ) Loudred uses Boomburst on a Machamp that has a Substitute. How much HP does Machamp have after the attack?
Machamp - 288/344 Loudred 1/372
6 ) In Little Cup, each Pokemon's level is set to 5. What are the final HP totals of the following situation? A Paras holding an Oran Berry uses X-Scissor on a Porygon who is using Ice Beam and holding Eviolite. Paras - 23/23 HP Porygon - 26/26 HP
7 ) A Nidoking with Sheer Force and holding a Life Orb is attacked by Audino using Simple Beam five turns ago. Last turn, Nidoking poisoned Audino with Sludge Wave. If Nidoking uses Earth Power this turn, how much damage will it do?
8 ) A Burned Aegislash-Blade uses King's Shield on Mega-Kangaskhan who attacked with Earthquake. The next turn, Aegislash uses Sacred Sword against Mega-Kangaskhan's Crunch. Aegislash is holding a Life Orb. What is the HP of each Pokemon at the end of the second turn?
Starting Conditions: Aegislash (BRN) - 304/324 Kangaskhan - 414/414
9 ) A Wailord unleashes its Water Spout attack upon its opponent, a Slowbro. Wailord has a Mystic Water hold item at the moment. What is the final HP of Slowbro?
Slowbro HP: 200 / 384 HP Wailord HP: 544 / 544 HP
