I've just been doing some browsing and I've been thinking of my own version of a Sailor Sun..but have just not been inspired enough to draw her or give her a backstory.. but I wanted to see what you guys would think.

I've seen a lot of Sailor Suns that are either sister/m cousin, long lost something of Sailor Moon (I've even read an OC where she was a step mother of Sailor Moon's o.o;; ) or they're just stand-alone characters with hardly any back story. (or terrible Mary Sues that just do NOT make sense...)

I've always thought the story of Sailor Sun should either be of friendly rivalry, or one of distant hate... Like, Sailor Sun always hated that Sailor Moon was stronger/better than her and wanted to plan to take her power to gain for herself, but she was always thwarted by the Negaverse screwing up things big time before she could roll out her "master plan" to have Sailor Moon all for herself. She didn't want to fight TWO enemies.. However, it wouldn't be until witnessing the battle with Sailor Galaxia that Sailor Sun would realize that being powerful came from inner strength rather than envy or jealously or being selfish/self-centered. Then after that would she plan to team up with Sailor Moon to learn a thing or two about what it means to be strong, while trying to "1-up" her on occasion to no avail.. lol

I don't know, just some thoughts in my head..not really wanting to make a full story out of it though. I'm still contemplating on finishing the Midnight/Twilight story.. Just been busy irl o.o;

Sounds like a good idea with her being a rivalry with Sailor Moon. Any fanfics that I used to read always had Sailor Sun being a solo senshi that had her own mission or she was Princess Serenity's half sister that she didn't know about.

LOL You're probably right that somebody most likely already came up with the rivalry idea, but if they did, it hasn't been overused yet >_>
