Kaleb does not have a tragic story like most of the people within the military, his parents and younger siblings are still alive thanks to the fact they are residents within Wall Sina. His Father is a member of the Royal Court and Kaleb had been expected to follow in his footsteps but instead joined the army.
Why did you joined the Military Police?
Kaleb joined the Military police for a whole host of reasons. The first was to get back at his Father, later on in life the two had become distant and combated wits almost everyday. Knowing that it was his Father's son to have his genius son join the Royal Court, Kaleb did the opposite and instead joined the Military.
Kaleb joined the Military Police specifically because of the facts that they were stationed within Wall Sina, his home and with it being stationed within this wall in particular he could take advantage of Wall Sina's facilities whilst work. He could access the Libraries and Rare Book Stores on the King's clock and with the Military Police having to hardly do anything, Kaleb could read and train himself to his heart's content.
Personality:
A handsome and somewhat charming individual when he does decide to speak, Kaleb could and should probably have everything his heart desires; be it recognition, fame or female company. However, the young faced boy's demeanour is that of someone who sits back and waits patiently, waiting for the right time to do or say something so that it can have maximum impact.
Smart and disciplined, Kaleb is possibly one of the greatest minds within the Military Police and works hard not only to sharpen his mind but also his combat skills with secretive training that he does alone.
Likes:
Kaleb's first and foremost love is of reading, rarely seen without a book in hand, it is apparently a great honour to have Kaleb look up from his book at you because it means he somewhat respects you. Whilst the ability to make him put his book down entirely is reserved for two types of people: People he holds in the highest of regards like Captain Totastu or people who severely piss him off. Kaleb is also a fan of mind taxing games like chess, checkers and certain card games along with Human History.
Dislikes:
Kaleb hates a few things. He hates the mistreatment of books. He hates people who can interrupt him whilst he, himself, is reading. And he also hates disrespect towards the Military Police, himself and his Captain. When any of these things are done Kaleb will often sit up if he isn't already, sigh and say "Please, don't make me put down this book." Most the Military Police know what this means but those unlucky enough to not oft fall to Kaleb's wrath.
Biography:
Born to a comfortable life, Kaleb's Father was a member of the Royal Court and his Mother was simply a lady of leisure. Him, his younger brother and his younger sister were often left to the care of a Nanny and only saw their parents briefly once or twice a day. Taking this sort of withdrawal and solitude to be the norm, Kaleb soon began to lose himself in books rather than feel like he had been abandoned; the daring deeds of fictional heroes were better than the reality of his situation. Whilst those heroes would live in Kaleb's heart forever, Kaleb had been forgotten. He did this for many years in between taking care of his younger siblings and eventually began to go to school where he excelled.
It wasn't until the day Wall Maria fell that everything finally started to get interesting.
Like a chapter from one of his books, the world suddenly exploded into a frenzy of life and danger. The 100 year peace had been broken, heroes were being made on a daily basis and legends were being made whilst he was alive. Kaleb couldn't resist his own curiosity. Whereas everyone else tried to forget about the event, Kaleb studied it and tried to determine how it could have happened. He seemed determined to get to the truth. Somehow, Titans had suddenly emerged able to destroy the Walls that had kept Humanity safe for a century. Kaleb couldn't believe that it had somehow been a coincidence. He researched, came up with theories but there were far too many unknown variables to able to consider them. It was at that point that even though his Father was preparing him for the Royal Court, Kaleb decided her would enrol in the Military.
Despite protests from his family, Kaleb joined the Military determined to make his way into the Survey Corps so that he could be allowed to research Titans. Not the strongest of his class, Kaleb instead relied on quick and agile movements as well as his lightning fast brain in order to secure himself a place within the Top 10 of his Graduating class. He wasn't first due to his lack of physical strength somewhat stalling him on examination. However, he came in second and was proud of himself for doing so. Even his Father was somewhat impressed with Kaleb's prowess. It was during this time where he was being considered for the Military Police that Kaleb met Musei Totasu, the Captain and decided to swap allegiance over to the Military Police.
He soon realized that suign the Military Police's assets as well as using Survey Corps reports; he could probably do more good for the cause rather than dying outside the walls.

Other/notes:
• Kaleb is 6ft 3inces
• Kaleb's favourite book is a book of poetry his Mother brought him.
• Kaleb actually uses custom blades, unlike the standard single edged katana blades used by most Corps members when dealing with Titans; Kaleb instead uses a variety of double edged blades in order to match his quickness of both body and mind. His blades also don't have a tip but a rounded point at the top to, as he says, "reduce drag" when cutting into a titan and therefore decreasing the blade's chances at breaking. However, a trade off for these blades is the inability to stab without tremendous effort.
