{ I'll bring Xquic in in a few posts. :3 }
Hunahpu frowned lightly, his wings folding against his back. He didn't like how cold it had gotten lately. And though the jungle was still humid and warm, it was lower than he was used to. Now, instead of flaring his wings to keep cool, he had to fold them tight to his back to keep himself warm. The forest green stallion shook out his mane of dark locks, growling lowly. The fangs that showed over the lower half of his muzzle shifted a bit as he opened his mouth, yawning like a large cat. His bright blue eyes flickered around the area. He knew Ah'Uaynih was around here somewhere... She often wandered away at times to go explore or hunt or something; he honestly had no idea what she did, but he knew she could take care of herself.
After a moment, the stallion stepped forward, claws breaking up the grass and the branches that had fallen. He listened to a few monkeys screeching overhead. His eyes lifted for a moment, frowning at them. Something was wrong... Something was going on in his jungle, and he didn't like it. His tail flicked irritably, before he shook out his mane again. The muscles along his body quivered as he moved back toward the temple, his eyes scanning the area. The features along his head stood up slightly, and he paused when he got toward the clearing with the temple in the center. Something was really off... Really, really off. He couldn't control certain aspects of his body; the feathers or the small quiver of his muscles. The twitch of his tail every once in a while.... He turned his head to look around for a moment, looking for Ah'Uaynih. "Ahni... Home." He didn't speak very loudly, but somehow had a feeling she would hear him.

The mare had not wandered far, in fact she lay just outside the temple's main halls, her feline-esque laying lazily in a patch of bright warm sunlight. It was a normal pastime for her, when she wasn't helping Hunahpu slowly learn the Common language, teaching him each word until he had began to grasp enough words to finally have a conversation with her. It had been a hard few months, pantomiming meanings and such. It was difficult.
Hearing a rather abrupt summons from Hunahpu, she begrudgingly opened her eyes. So much for taking a nice long catnap... With a sigh, the mare yawned and stretched, her hooves tapping softly against the packed earth as she pulled herself lazily to her feet, her wings stretching outward to catch some of the warm rays before she closed them against her body.
Trotting through the corridor, she passed into the cool shade, the last bit of caught heat from the sun diminishing quickly now. Sometimes she adored these strange buildings, the intricacies of their tall walls and vaulted ceilings made for an ominously large space. But at the same time, she found herself sometimes missing the wide open forests.
When finally she reached where Hunahpu stood, she caught an air of strange energy emanating from him as he looked out over the forest. "Is something wrong, Huna?" She murmured, following his gaze. Her ears tweaked forward as she listened, before she stepped closer to Hunahpu, her flank twitching nervously.

What was this? What was this feeling? Shaking his head again, he looked around. Hunahpu blinked, ears pinning back. His claws clenched over the earth again, before he took a step forward at the sight of Ahni. He dipped his head down some, nuzzling her as she walked to his side. Lifting his head once more, the stallion peered around. His tail twitched at the tip, his muscles quivering slightly once more before he looked down toward the mare once more. He blinked, leaned to nuzzle her once more, and carefully took a half step forward in order to get himself closer to the temple. Something was going on, and he didn't like this at all. He didn't like the feeling of something being in his jungle; especially with his brother gone. He wasn't sure where Xbalanque was, but he was gone...
Shaking his head, which caused his hair to fall away from his face. "Something here... I feel... no..." He shook his head, growling lowly under his breath, before sighing. "I can feel.. something in jungle.... Something stalking the trees." He said, correcting himself as best as he could, but his distraction was causing him to not fully care about the thought process of speaking in proper sentences. He shifted a bit, turning to look at her again, before leaning and nuzzled at her hair lightly, tail flicking.
