Becka is a gentle soul. Growing up she hung around the Pokemon centers a lot and it made her not want to be a trainer, Pokemon might like to battle but going in and out of Pokemon centers and seeing how hurt they could get made Becka's stomach curl. More often than not, despite not being a Nurse Joy or any other qualified Pokemon healer she found herself helping out, usually by staying with the injured Pokemon that were left alone without a trainer in sight. She saw enough of that to last a lifetime during her teenage years when the staff at the Pokemon center she was living nearby thought she was old enough to know some of the worst of it.
She garnered enough respect to be taught the basics of Pokemon healing but she decided that wasn't enough and went away for a few years at a human healer training course. Her true love was Pokemon but she's smart enough to treat both Pokemon and humans. She can be nervous when stressful situations arise but she will swallow it down and do what's needed. She's still learning of course but she's willing to put the effort in.
Once her human healer course was up and she'd spent more time helping at Pokemon Centers around the place she decided that travelling was going to be the best thing for her, she never felt comfortable staying in one place for too long plus there were many trainers and Pokemon that couldn't always reach a Pokemon Center in time to help so she travelled. On her travels she met up with a badly injured Shinx, she spent weeks treating him and taking care of him, the poor thing had been little more than skin and bone when she'd come across him and she'd suspected a very poor trainer had abused him since a Wild Pokemon would know where to find food and shelter. Once the Shinx (now called Raven) was healed he evidently decided to stick by her side. Giving her as much emotional support as she travelled as she'd given him when he'd need it. The two have been together for a while now and he shows no signs of wanting to be a fighting Pokemon, he's more content to help Becka soothe and relax other Pokemon and humans they find in need of help.
Recently Becka came into posession of a Blitzle of unusual color and markings. Breeze is an extremely calm and placid pokemon, just the ideal sort of companion for Raven, she helps Becka a lot by being able to carry many more supplies than she and Raven can alone, meaning she can travel deeper into places less travelled by people and people and pokemon that may need her help more than in more populated places.
