Set in a cool October night within Seireitei's walls, Takigawa Bar lies within the ever so busy Market District. Several Captains of the Gotei Fourteen have gathered to enjoy a well-needed drink and a night of gambling with the locals. What the night leads to one could only guess.

Montiago walked into the bar, a golden flask already in his tanned hands. The blonde haired captain had been told to come here for some sort of get together and it was enough to get him moving, I mean after all there was s**t all happening around here so he hoped it was some kind of a massive party. His entire life revolved around partying and kicking a** so if he couldn't do one of those tonight he'd end up doing the other no matter what, didn't make much of a difference to him.
One more interesting thing to be seen about the captain though was that he had his zanpakuto no where in sight, the usual nodachi not on his back like it normally would be. The first rule he had about heavily drinking and partying was not to bring it along as one little idea could end up with a entire area destroyed, therefore it avoided the major property damage and kept it to minor property damage.
The captain found a spot to sit and would flop down into it, letting out a yawn before taking another swig of the flask and making himself comfortable. People better come soon otherwise he'd be liable to start throwing things and drinking everything. (( ooc : ))
Today was one of those rare days where Rook found himself in Soul Society rather than the human world. Every few months he had to come back to check in for Captains meetings and the like. The business was really quite drab, and Rook found himself nearly constantly wishing he was back in the human world with his squad. His Vice-Captain would usually join him, but most of the men he considered his family would hang behind in the human world. Every visit to Soul Society, Rook felt like he was among strangers. Different men filled the streets of Seireitei, and he never really felt at home among these unfamiliar faces. Today, however, seemed a bit different. While he was residing in his squad chambers, a messenger came with an invitation... to a bar. At first, Rook was hesitant. He remembered his last experience drinking, and did not want to repeat it. Barely one cup of sake in, and he nearly slaughtered a group of fellow Shinigami. However, another voice in his head told him that he shouldn't turn down the invitation: he hardly had time to connect with the other captains, and this might be an appropriate time to satisfy his social obligations. These obligations were a pain, but nonetheless existed and dictated his actions. Usually, he just tried to ignore them.
This evening, Rook made his way down the street wearing a loose Japanese kimono. He had chosen not to wear his haori or his hakama, instead wearing a deep reddish brown colored robe hastily tied with a sash. Rook wore his kimono in such a way that the top of his chest showed through, including a few smaller scars lining his upper chest. He didn't really care about his appearance: assuming that there would be drinking, most of the others wouldn't even remember what he had worn. Rook would try to avoid alcohol, though just to be safe he had left his Zanpakuto behind. He didn't want a repeat of the last incident, especially when he was among the locals. After a while, Rook found his way to the bar and entered to almost immediately see a man he recognized as the fifth division captain. This captain appeared to already be drinking and Rook sighed a bit, running a hand tiredly through his deep red hair. Just gotta make it through this one night and I can go back to the human world... just this one night, he told himself.

xxxxxxAfteranother stressful and muling day over at the armory, Lorde walks groggily down the concrete pathway of the Market District pushing the scurrying Rukongai-pest out of her way. "Hey! Watch it, you bum!" she would sneer every now and then. The timid villagers would silently apologize after a mere glance at the white garment adorned on the slender woman's frame. The haori: it had that effect on everyone it seemed. She couldn't go anywhere in a hundred mile radius without someone bowing their head in fear. It didn't necessarily help that the tachi draped over her shoulder was bouncing aimlessly with every uninterested step she would take. Lorde draws to an immediate stop, before her a mule-pulled wagon slowly trots across the street. "For heaven's sake, move out of my way." she shouts. The man jumps at her yell and lashes the reigns causing the beast to pick up the pace. Several bystanders stop and glance at the woman for a second before continuing their setup. It was night time in Seireitei; it's time to bring in the revenue. xxxxxxLorde crosses the street now, looking ahead for the bar to which she'd be meeting her fellow Captains for a few drinks. An unfamiliar invitation this was indeed for the iron-clad Squadron Captain. Mostly confined to the armory, Lorde has very few possibilities to actually get out and "smell the roses" as her Vice-Captain would say. There were no opportunities to smell the roses in this line of work. Someone constantly needs something built, or some Squadmate messes something up. Nevertheless, her she is, crossing the street of the hussle and bussle of Seireitei. Tonight, she wears a pure white kimono held closed by a large crimson obi. She decided, just before leaving the compound, to dress appropriately for a night on the town. Heaven forbid if any perv decides to grope on her... xxxxxxThe bar, "Bar Takigawa" specifically, is her destination. This will not be her first visit to this locally owned establishment; Lorde often has visited and treated her factory workers to the sushi and sake. A soft rumble tickles Lorde at the mere thought of sushi. "Goodness, I'm dying for a plate of Ama-ebi right about now." she mutters as she enters the bar. She stops then glancing about the room for her counterparts. She spots Katsuo Imai standing idly close to her, appearing to be scanning the room just as she was. "Oi, Imai, come join the party." she says approaching the maroon-haired man, giving a subtle pat on the shoulder. She continues onward to only spot another Captain: Montiago Mangler. She walks over to the man, stealing a small glance at his golden flask. "It seems someone's getting the party started early, eh?" she says teasingly taking a seat in one of the open booths that happens to be at the center of the room. It only felt right that a group of their calibur occupy this spot.
Silently, Kaede rested on top of her shack, taking long drags on her cigarette as she quickly began to grow bored. The smoke emanating from beneath her was slightly amusing to watch twirl without a care through the air, but with the day traffic through the gate coming to an end an hour or so ago, her time had been spent smoking cigarettes on her roof and tossing the remains into the vent the smoke came from, adding it to the pyre that fueled her odd area along the Northern wall. Golden hues locked onto the smoke, though they lost focus as she began to doze off, only snapping to full alert with a few muttered curses when someone approached, their cough due to the odd sweet smoke giving off their location inside the cloud. Slipping off the roof with grace, and landing silently once she touched the ground, Kaede walked up to the young girl before dispelling the smoke with a small flux of her reiatsu, smiling warmly before receiving the letter. Thanking her for being the courier and saying a pleasant goodbye, Kaede climbed the stairs to enter her shack, sliding the door closed as she walked over to the bar. Bending over the surface, she grabbed a glass and a bottle, filling it to the brim before putting it back down, uncorked.
Opening the letter slowly, her eyes began to glow fiercely when she read that she had been invited to go out with some of the Captains. Squealing lightly, she dashed over to the hatch and slipped into her room, slipping off her shihakusho before folding it neatly, placing it on her bed. If she was just going out for drinks with some Captains, was it appropriate to dress up or show up in casual attire. Shrugging lightly, she really didn't care about what she was going to put on; she was more worried on how she was going to manage to rip her body suit from her figure. After minutes upon minutes of profanity bombarding the serenity of the Northern District, Kaede had finally managed to get the entire ensemble off of her, throwing the pieces frustratedly into the corner. Thank god she wouldn't have to try and put it back tonight, or at least she hoped not. Turning around slowly, she drummed the fingers on her right hand on her collarbone lightly, trying to think of what to wear. She did have a large assortment of casual clothing, mostly from when she was drunk and thought it was too pretty to resist, but there was one that was nice enough, she thought, for the gathering. Slipping the elegant glossy midnight blue kimono over her shoulders, rumaging through another drawer looking for a sash that would look alright. Settling on the ornate golden sash she had been saving for a special occasion, which compared to how things normally were here, this was, she tied it carefully before climbing up the stairs and back into the main room.
Grabbing the untouched glass off the bar quickly - though expertly as she didn't spill a drop from the full glass - and chugged it in a matter of seconds before burping deeply, adjusting her hair in the mirror momentarily before she grabbed the invitation and slipped it inside of her kimono. Taking time only to shut the door before fast walking off, eager to join her comrades for some fun after a rather boring day lifting up a gate and letting it slam back down. As she walked, she pulled out the invitation to read it again, studying the words carefully this time. Lorde Saikyou? Ah, yes, Captain of the Thirteenth if memory served; which for once, she was hoping it did. Recalling her profile more vividly now, she was one of the Captains who actually sounded like someone she could get along with, but had never gotten around to actually having a conversation with her. Walking through the streets, people avoided being near her, mostly whispering to themselves about her monstrous height, which at least meant she wasn't going to accidentally step on one of them. Finally reaching the bar, she opened the door and ducked through the entryway, glad that the ceilings were a little taller her so that she could stand completely upright. Upon entering, however, most of the bar turned quiet as all eyes shifted to her momentarily before the drunken cacophony of laughs and tales of good and bad times polluted the air. Seeing Lorde take a seat at the middle booth, her mind registered that the Captain of both Squad Five and Nine were also joining them; and her mind now failed her, not being able to remember their names. Taking a seat, she smiled warmly to Lorde before looking behind her to the barkeep, signaling for a round of strong alcohol to start off with. Her cheeks were a little red from being nervous, and she hadn't had enough to make her more sociable before she left the house; great. "Thanks for the invite, Miss Lorde. Boring day today." She began, taking the drink that was poured for her as soon as it arrived to the table, smiling toward the other two. "While I bet you've seen me around, I'm Kaede Akamori, the Northern Gatekeeper." She introduced, not knowing if she had been introduced to them before or not; if she had, she was probably drunk at that time and doesn't remember ever meeting them formally before.

So they didn't take there sweet a** time getting there, what a pleasant surprise. Montiago didn't say anything though, not until the last one arrived. When the rather tall if not better described massive women showed up Montiago gave them all a big smile and said "Welcome to the party mother ********. I'm Montiago, Squad 05 captain. It's nice to see you lovely ladies here as well as you man, it was getting way to ******** boring in squad 05. Not one damn good hollow to fight in the area". The captain took another shot from his flask before ordering a round of drinks over to the table, not really caring if anyone had a preference or not. In his mind if anyone didn't want to drink he'd just take it himself, no harm in that right.
Relaxing his body a bit more Montiago seemed almost irritated for a moment, before he whipped off his white captains haori and threw it across the bar. Underneath he didn't have much more besides a black muscle shirt. "Damn things to itchy. So what all you guys been up to? Besides kicking a** and taking names I hope" Montiago asked them all in general, still wearing that stupid grin of his. Usually he was a bit of a jackass but he always gave people a chance to get on his good side, common courtesy after all. (( ooc : ))
When the thirteenth captain told him to come over with the rest of them Rook internally sighed. It couldn't be avoided. He ran a hand through his deep red hair and approached the others, specifically the fifth division captain. A few moments after him, a massive woman that Rook didn't recognize approached. She introduced herself as the gatekeeper, which explained why Rook hadn't really seen her; as the ninth division captain, he hardly ever spent time in Soul Society, much less leaving for any extended period of time. Thus a gatekeeper would most certainly be a person that he would not encounter. This person sat down before Rook, and he approached with a slight sigh. The fifth division captain introduced himself, which seemed kind of odd; they'd all been serving together for quite some time. Regardless, there was really no use in saying anything about it. Thus, all he could really do was sit down as well, and make some sort of nod of recognition to the cordiality of those two other high ranking Shinigami. "You all know who I am," he said with a wave of his hand before sitting down next to the others.
His posture was quite bad, he leaned back and stretched his legs out as much as possible. Though maybe not as high stress as hollow extermination, working in the human world was a pain: he was constantly on his feet doing something, even if that happened to be sending souls on to Soul Society like any normal common soldier might. Visiting Soul Society was like a relief and a pang of reality: in the human world, ranks largely mixed together. Though Rook gave orders to his subordinates, he didn't do much more than that. They were all equal, in a sense. Here, this was totally different. New recruits into the ninth division almost always tried to start into the formalities that they might have witnessed in the other divisions. For the most part, the ninth division had no "sir" or "ma'am" or any of that nonsense. Following his arrival, the fifth division captain ordered a round of drinks for all of them and Rook practically cringed. After ordering, the fifth division captain threw off his shirt and asked them about what everyone has been doing. Rook sighed. "Eh, just killing hollows and konsō and all that s**t," the ninth division captain replied. Though his posture was relaxed, he looked somewhat antsy: not because of nerves or anything, but more because idleness did not suit him very well.

xxxxxxItseems now that the entire party has arrived with Kaede's appearance into the bar. Lorde can't help but grow wide-eyed at the woman's monstrous size. It doesn't surprise her though, for someone who guards the primary gate of Seireitei, of course a great stature would be necessary. Lorde, being mostly confound to the mountainous regions of Seireitei [more towards the Western Gate] doesn't quite interact with the Keeper of the North. The same can be said for the two men who also accompany her now. Captain Mangler is one of the recent most recruited Captains of the Gotei just before the Kenpachi. Captain Imai is barely seen as is, constantly on patrol in the Human World. This little meeting here, in this bar now, was a rare sight even as it is. The Seireitei is such a large place; it's common that the Fourteen Captain don't see one another besides the monthly meetings with the Commander herself. An eye roll escapes Lorde at the mere thought of another boring meeting with Commander Shu mumbling over new initiatives to be into place. One word to sum them up? Boring. xxxxxxPulling herself from her thoughts, Lorde notices Montiago toss his haori onto the nearby bar top. "Hey, better watch that thing. Commander Feng will be all over you for even staining it." she jokes picking up one of the drinks that he and Kaede had order just moments ago. She sips at the drink, choosing to savor the sweet burn in her throat rather than throw it back altogether at once. As she's sipping on her sweet alcoholic beverage, Kaede, right next to her, speaks up giving thanks to the Captain and introducing herself. Lorde sits the small cup down and clicks her tongue in a small laugh. "No need for formalities, girl. We're all off-duty tonight. Besides, everyone knows who you are oh great Keeper of the North." Lorde says in a delighted tone. Tonight's company was new to her, for her usually "posse" included that of her Vice-Captains and factory workers. She then turns her attention to the two men across from her. "Let's get the party started, eh?!" she says tossing some of her pale hair over her shoulder. A massive grin is upon the Captain's face now as she looks at the others. ''Anyone for a little drinking game?" she adds before finishing off the shot that she'd previously been sipping upon. xxxxxxThe Captain, a drinker herself, wears a devilish grin. Over on Squadron Thirteen's grounds. Lorde has a long record of shots. None had defeated the woman; every challenger defeated, every rookie put back into their diapers. Lorde, being a rough-and-at-em' Captain, is all about machinery, alcohol, blade swinging, and gambling. So, to be among peers of her caliber would be sure to prove entertaining.
Awide smile surfaced to her lips when Montiago spoke, realizing that being formal was most likely not the way to go with the present gathering of Captains; Rook almost looked bored, sighing before taking his seat. As the round Montiago ordered got to the table, she downed it before it touched the table again, moving her two empty glasses to the side of the table. Relaxing from her rigid position, she rested her arm of the back of the bench and stretched her legs out a bit, moving them to the side of the table lest she take up all of the leg space. "Other than getting stabbed in the tit earlier, it's been a slow, slow day." She lamented, sighing, rubbing the small scratch on her left breast lightly in annoyance; the blade had shattered on impact, though the criminal had some spiritual backing that managed to actually knick her flesh. When Lorde commented on her formality, she laughed heartily, smile beaming to the other female of the group. "Just give me a few minutes for the booze to hit and I won't be formal in the slightest." She added, winking before raising her hand, ordering a double round of drinks for the table, winking to the barkeep for the heavy, heavy stuff. For whatever reason, maybe because she protected the main gate, most of the merchants and vendors would just give her what she would gladly pay for. However, it was nice that she got unlimited rounds of drinks with no charge. Suddenly, golden eyes shot up around the bar, her eyes locking onto a man sitting in the shadows wearing a cloak. Grabbing her zanpakuto from the small of her back, she glided to a standing position and fluttered across the bar, it getting eerily quiet as she walked over to the man, removing his hood to look at his face.
"I thought you looked familiar. Which caravan did you hide in, eh? The one with the wounded or the one with the wounded or with the refugees?" She growled, literally picking him up by the back of his neck with one hand as she carried him out of the bar, opening the door and throwing him in the street. A group of shinigami were approaching, the man rolling over onto his back and attempting to run. "Bakudo Four, Hainawa." She sighed, the yellow rope hitting him and causing him to fall in a puddle. Waving the shinigami over, she pointed at him and chuckled. "He's wanted for the murder of Shinigami; I'm busy, so if you could please handle it I'd be grateful." She asked, spinning around to shut the door, walking back to the table and slumping down, sighing deeply and downing one of the drinks that was now at the table, taking one of the three that was in front of Rook and downing it too; always working, no matter the time. "If I heard something about a drinking game, count me in. I'm tired of work." She added, noting that the noise in the bar was significantly less than before, whispers going between the patrons about the monstrous' woman and the rumors of her origins. Grabbing her zanpakuto from it's resting place on the seat behind her, she leaned it against the table roughly, all eyes immediately looking away. Flipping her hair, she rolled her eyes in amusement. "What did you have in mind?" She asked, looking to Lorde before her eyes drifted to the drinks still on the table, eyebrow raising inquisitively toward Rook. "C'mon, man, you're gonna have a lot of catch-up to do if you don't get started soon." She warned, laughing lightly before drinking the drinks that were now being regularly brought to the table, apparently already establishing that with both Kaede and Lorde in at the same time that impeding the flow of alcohol wouldn't be wise.

Montiago was quite pleased that the formalities of it all left quite quickly, he really hated it when people tip toed around each other and the rules. Honestly the world would be better off without all that s**t. On Lorde's comment Montiago rolled his eyes and said "Commander Feng can suck my d**k, that thing is way to itchy to be right". It wasn't that he particularly hated Feng, he just had the same opinion of them as he did of the soul king. Anyone who tried to command what Montiago did was a a*****e and shouldn't be in charge, simple as that. When the giant women made the rather crude comment though Montiago was back to his stupid large grin, glancing at wher she was rubbing her breast before focusing back on what was all being ordered. Montiago took all of his brought drinks in shots, enjoying the burning sensation it gave him with a almost peaceful expression.
When the giant women got up and threw out the man Montiago couldn't help but glance at her back side and general body, he might not make any crude or nasty comments on it yet but there was always that temptations. The larger thing holding him back was that for one thing she was a ******** giant, and the other was that it might ruin the little get together. For the sake of staving off boredom Montiago held back his comments and listened to the proposition Lorde had with excited ears.
"Sounds like a ******** great idea" Montiago said as he relaxed back into his seat. (( ooc : ))
At mention of a drinking game, Rook sighed a bit. He probably should have guessed as much, but at the same time a part of him hoped that the gathering would be more oriented toward gambling than drinking. At the least, maybe they would all get so drunk they wouldn't notice if he pretended to drink with them. I refuse to make a fool of myself again. Especially when he spent such little time around these people, his name meant a lot. A repeat of... the last time... would undoubtedly last for at last another decade, with people teasingly bringing it up at the worst possible moments. He looked among the faces of the other high ranking Shinigami present. They didn't seem like the sort to let near-murder in a drunken rampage fly without some jokes originating from it. Thus, for as long as possible he would avoid those drinks. Yet the just kept coming. The other three seemed to be devouring them like water; Rook had never been around so many heavyweights with alcohol. Meanwhile, he continued to keep from participating. In the midst of this, the gatekeeper found and captured some sort of criminal, which seemed like the boring usual drawl of Soul Society.
However, it soon became clear that this would not last when he was prompted by the gatekeeper to join in on the drinking. Rook turned bright red. He wasn't normally the bashful sort, except for when it came to this. "Um, well, you see I'm not really thirsty so... and besides if there's a drinking game... plus it's still early..." The ninth division captain sputtered out these excuses pathetically, inwardly wincing at his lack of creativity. Still, there wasn't much he could really do, thus he sunk back in his chair, sighed, and flipped his bangs a bit out of his right eye. "Drinking game... fine... sounds good..." He said quietly before picking up a cup. He touched the cup to his lips, tasted a bit of the sake and set the cup back down after barely drinking a drop. Hopefully this would be over with soon so Rook could satisfy his minimum requirements of social interaction with these captains while also avoiding making a fool of himself. At the same time, since Rook didn't like spending time in Soul Society, he wondered why he really cared...
