Here in our Cirque, things work differently than others. A band of misfits have to work together in order to stay alive. New threats have come up and very few answers are to behold. Caeluis, our beloved Ringmaster, is cursed and has to do everything in his power to keep his head above water and his precious Cirque from floundering. Malachi, the Master of Magic and right hand man to Ringmaster Raze, must learn to murder discreetly in order to keep his own life. Jesse, the sweet tempered Cirque hand, has a dark secret that not even he can understand. Callie, the mortal runaway, in hiding from the outside world for a crime of unspeakable horror. Magnolia, the Cirque Psychic, who has a secret all her own, concerning an unborn child of the Ringmaster. Then Chloe, the clumsy ticket master who just wants to make it out alive. This is all that is left of our Cirque, at least the ones involved in the mess anyway. Now they must travel, all over the states, following a list given to them by Raze, and stealing the souls of the innocent. How long can this go on?How long can they manage to live this way, especially now that a string of curiously gruesome murders have been happening in the dead of night, with no witnesses and no suspects? Everything is about to take a turn for the worst as they all play a part in this dangerous game.

Callie felt aif she had been running for days. She was thirsty, hungry, tired, dirty, but being in the run for as long as she had was no easily accomplished task. She needed to find somewhere, anywhere, to rest. She could hear the roar of a crowd faintly in the distance. Stepping out from the darkness of the trees, Callie looked over the hilltop to see the lights of a very crowded circus, all set up and open to the public. Figuring it was her best shot, she stumbled her way to the gate, waiting until the ticket girl was distracted enough for her to slip by unnoticed. She walked through the crowd, bumping into people and muttering her apologies softly, until she got the feeling someone was after her. The dark figures that had her running in the first place were there, searching the premises for her. Fear struck her as she harnessed what little energy she had left, and bolted through people quickly but not fast enough to draw attention.

The men were in black uniforms, and carried loaded firearms, ready to shoot her on sight. Taking off in a zigzag formation, she managed to slip into the back of a tent and to her surprise, slammed helplessly and weakly into someone who was readying for the show. She fell on the ground for a moment before looking up to see a taller man in a top hat and matching suit. He was very well dressed, and had been tucking away his deck of cards when she hit him. She picked herself up from the ground, turning her head to look behind her and make sure the men weren't still on her tail. She could hear them outside the tent, but they couldn't locate her, not that that could last long. She turned to the man, and on top of her disheveled appearance, she had nothing but fear and desperation on her face.
"I-I am so sorry! P-please! Please help me! They are going to find me! Don't let them find me! Hide me please! Send them away! Hurry! Please! I am begging you..." Tears lined her eyes as she begged, hearing the men enter the front of the arena tent, she peaked around the curtain before quickly turning her back and breathing heavily. 'I am dead...'

They had been traveling with the cirque for some time now and Malachi had quickly fallen back into the groove of being a traveling circus. He enjoyed being on the road, for it meant new places to see and people to meet. He'd been doing well under the ringmaster's training, picking up on things fast, it even seemed as though people in the cirque were beginning to respect him too. The only thing he really struggled with was the increase of guests he had to take in, but he was learning to shut it out and not feel remorse for what he was doing. He kept telling himself that they were on Kale's list for a reason and usually that was enough to help him forget. On top of the list, there were also those that were to be used to fuel their master. In those cases, it was one life for another and he simply had to focus on the fact that they chose people who wouldn't be missed, where as their beloved master would be.

It was show time and as usual, Kai was putting the finishing touches on his wardrobe in the back of the main tent. On the other side of the curtain he could hear the guests enjoying Maggie's show. The magician placed his top hat upon his head, nodding with a smile to Jesse before he pulled out the small sheet of paper with the special guest tickets. He checked that the stools he needed for them were at the side of the stage, checked his racks, just making sure that everything was ready so nothing would go wrong. Malachi made his way back to his table again, placing his deck of cards into the inside breast pocket of his suit before being hit from behind. The man stumbled, recovering from it before he fell to the ground, turning to look at who had run into him. Seeing the pretty girl, he smiled some, but noticed that she was in quite the distress. He looked behind her where she had looked before his odd eyes fell to her once again, frowning at the fear in her eyes and desperation in her features. Her words caused him to raise a questioning brow, wondering who would be after her and why. Kai watched as she checked behind the curtain, her reaction telling him that whoever was after her was in close proximity. The magician looked around a moment before looking back to the frantic girl.
"Alright, alright, don't worry. I'll take care of it. Come with me." He beckoned for her to follow, hurrying to the hatch that led under the stage, opening it quickly and gently pushing her inside. He had just closed the door as the guards came into view. Kai made his way away from the hatch, walking up to the guards with a risen brow. "Gentleman." He stated with a nod of his head. "Is there a reason you're invading the 'employees only' section of our tent?" He asked coolly, crossing his arms over his chest. When told that they were looking for the girl, Kai shook his head and looked around the back of the tent, waving his hand over the space as if showing it to them. "We don't allow visitors back here. May I suggest you take your leave before our ringmaster finds you breaking his rules? I can assure you, you will not be treated kindly if he finds you here. If we find your missing girl, rest assured she will be handed over." He nodded, no hint of nervousness or of a lying tongue in his body language or tone. Once the guards seemed convinced, he ushered them out, making sure they had left the vicinity before he made his way back to the hatch where he had hidden the girl.

The man knew he couldn't keep her there. Once his act was finished, there would be two nearly dead bodies under there with her and that certainly wouldn't end well. Maggie's act was nearly over, he didn't have much time to stow her away. Frowning a bit, he opened the door and beckoned her with his finger to come out. Once she complied, he smiled to her in order to calm her nerves.
"It's alright now. They shouldn't be back, but, I can't have you hiding under there when I am to go on." He nodded and thought for a moment as he looked around once again. Seeing a stage hand, he nodded to himself before looking back to the girl. "I'll have you escorted to my caravan. You'll be safe there. Don't worry, no one will see you. Do you see that man over there?" He pointed in the direction of the stagehand he'd noticed. When she nodded, he smiled some and did as well. "I want you to follow him when he goes to my caravan and slip in behind him. Make no noise, be silent, and you'll be fine. You have to stay close to him though. If he closes the door before you enter, you can't get in. Understand? This wont hurt." Kai nodded once again, taping his finger on the top of her head and whispering a small incantation that turned her invisible. Once done, he called the stagehand over. "I'm afraid I left my coffee in my caravan. Will you hurry and grab it for me please? It'll be on the counter next to my sink. I'd get it myself, but if Maggie finishes before I return, Master Raze wont be very happy with me. Thank you." He smiled and nodded to the man, watching him leave and noticing the footprints in the dirt that followed him.

Once his performance was done, Malachi checked on their special guests as he always did before going to inform Kale that they were ready for him. Everything had gone smoothly and he was glad to have pleased their master again. Kai made his goodbyes, complimenting Maggie on her performance even though he didn't see most of it, and bowed out of the tent, making his way back to his caravan. He didn't happen upon the guards again, so he wasn't entirely sure where they had gotten off to, but he knew that if the girl had followed his instructions then she would be safe. He'd placed special spells on his space to make sure that no one that wasn't from the cirque could open its door. As he stepped inside and closed the door again, he looked about his space, speaking another incantation that wore the invisibility spell off of her. Once the girl was in sight, he smiled and nodded to her before making his way into the kitchen to go through his fridge. The magician tossed his hat into his bedroom and glanced in her direction.
"So, my little stowaway, can I get you anything?" He asked with his winning smile, pulling out something to drink for her and himself. Kai then closed the fridge door again and walked over to her, handing her the drink and opening his own. "What's a cute little thing like you doing running away from those guards? Don't worry, you're safe as long as you're in here. They can't open the door." He nodded, taking a seat across from her at his table, raising his brow in question again as he waited for her reply.

Callie complied immediately and didn't hesitate to do as the man had asked her. She slipped into the hatch and remained silent, listening to the conversation being held by the gunmen and the man who had hidden her. Her hert sank as he said he would turn her in if she was found, unsure if what he said would come true or if it was simply a ploy to get rid of them. The room she was in was dark and dirty, but she couldn't make out anything in the darkness. Luckily for her she couldn't see the blood that lined the floors and walls, otherwise she may have screamed and ruined everything. When he motioned for her to come out, she took a quick breath, hoping like hell he had sent them away. She listened as he told her what to do, and was confused when he touched the top of her head. Sure enough, he had somehow made her invisible. She followed the stagehand quietly, and slipped into the caravan just behind him, moving aside out of his pathway. When he left, she exhaled in relief, and decided to take a seat beside the heater. It had been rather cold the last few days as winter was still in the midst of ending.

She was still so tired, hungry, and thirsty, but thought it best not to go poking around in things that didn't belong to her. She remained beside the heater, fighting off sleep until the man who had saved her returned. She jumped when the door opened, but calmed herself down when she realized it was in fact him. He made her visible again, and she smiled weakly at him.
"I haven't had a thing to eat or drink in almost four days, though I really do hate to be a burden..." She nodded in thanks to his handing her the water, and finished it all without coming up for air. When it was gone, she set the bottle beside her and looked back at him as he spoke. A compliment? Really? She looked so disheveled though...accepting it with another small smile she figured she owed it to him to answer. "I got into some trouble back home, and they are after me for it. I've been running for several weeks now, and honestly, I don't even know where I am. I was doing alright in the beginning but with them trailing me like that, it got harder and harder to find places to rest and recoup. I really appreciate your help. Thank you so much." Callie ran her fingers through her hair, attempting to be rid of some of the snags, as she lowered her gaze to the floor, wondering about this odd place she had stumbled into. She hadn't seen much. Nothing of the show, and only small things from running by the strange people. The booths and tents looked nice, but the entire place had an eerie feel to it. Deciding it would probably be alright to ask, she returned her gaze to his and her brow furrowed a bit. "So where am I anyway? What is this place?" Curiosity grazed her expression as she pulled her knees up toward her chest and fiddled with the empty bottle in her hands, keeping her eyes on him as to not be rude.

Magnolia stood in her caravan bare, staring at herself in the mirror, at her stomach. There was already a bulge forming from the four month old fetus. It was already spring. She didn't want to look upon this pregnancy with dread, but happiness. She needed to talk to Kale, it couldn't wait any longer. Magnolia would now be wearing a nice corsets or tops that showed off her stomach only to be laced with chains, torn cloth or old french lace. But now she wears puffy shirts, with loose cinches, not hurting the forming baby. Magnolia could already tell that some of the cirque members were suspicious, even Kale. The only person that knows is Chloe and that was only because she is swifter than most of the members think she is. Feeling a little dizzy, she pulled on a long flowy gypsy dress, tying her waist with sashes to hide the bulge. She sat down and held her head, thinking that she was going to vomit again... There was a knock on her door and she called them in. Chloe quickly came in, only to trip on the first step. She scurried in, closing the door behind her and looked at Maggie, "Hey... whoa, are you okay? You don't look so good... Are you going to be able to do the show tonight?" Magnolia took a deep breathe, holding down the vomit so the feeling would go away. She looked at Chloe and stood up, straightening her dress, "I am fine, thank you. Though, this child of mine is being a little nightmare. I feel like he has taken more of his fathers side than mine... He's a hellish child in there. Besides, I have to... Kale is expecting a show." Chloe looked at Magnolia like she was bonkers and asked, "Wait, you didn't tell him yet? You need to tell him!" Magnolia nodded and waved her hands down, "Calm your voice, someone will hear us! I know. Tonight is the last chance I have. Soon he will notice that I bare his child. He knows I dance so much that there is no way I can gain weight..." Chloe agreed and walked Magnolia out to her fortune telling tent before running off to the ticket booth.

Chloe got the tickets ready, seeing that she had to make up more 'special' tickets than last year. She knew what was going on and understood. The lines felt like they went on forever though and they had quadrupled their ticket count. When the gates opened, she gave the first twenty special tickets. Then scattered the rest of the thirty tickets. There was so many people that she didn't see a girl sneaking in with someone. Chloe was usually very careful about it, but she didn't see the girl. When the tickets had sold out, she went to find Jesse, seeing if he wanted help or to watch the show together.

Magnolia was in her tent, making sure that her make up hadn't smeared. Her long black hair was down and the red dye had faded since she didn't keep up with it. She's heard too many horror stories about pregnant women dying their hair, only to cause death or have a child with problems. She didn't want her baby to be a side show horror act. She would much rather go back to the Asylum than have her child do such a thing. To be laughed at, food thrown at them... such thoughts began making Magnolia upset, making the crystals that floated around, shake violently and the lights to flicker a bit. Magnolia noticed such actions, she began to calm herself down. This pregnancy made her so testy and short tempered. And much more emotional.

Magnolia gave some readings, drugging some of her customers. She knew the list like the back of her hand, that Kale needed to appease the Devil. But she drugged at least two for Kale himself. She would never put drugs in her tea for her victims, she gave them water instead with drugs in them. She closed her curtains as she went to the main tent for her performance. Magnolia saw Kale introduce her into the ring, to give her performance. Magnolia walked out as the music started and Kale walked into the sides. She got into position and started singing right on que while dancing.
She hit every note perfectly and danced not as rapid or fast as she usally did though. She didn't even pop her hips or belly danced like she normally did. If anything, she was very gentle with her dancing. It went well with the music, but it could have been better with a lot of her belly dancing moves. When she had finished, she stopped and then introduced Malachi out into the stage. She walked out and thanked him for the compliment. Magnolia saw Kale and walked over to him. She looked up at him with concern. "Ringmaster Raze," She called him sounding like she really needed to talk to him. Instantly, Magnolia felt like she was going to vomit. Her face went a little green, before going very pale and finishing it off with her normal complection. It looked like she had broken a chameleon's color changing record. and took another deep breathe holding it down. The baby felt so excited to be around the father... She looked up at him, "Master, we need to speak after this evenings events. I have to confess something urgent and it has to be said tonight." She wasn't going to be able to hold back the vomit any longer. She covered her mouth and walked away quickly, her sash falling off her hips, showing the small bulge. Magnolia got away quickly, heading straight for her caravan. She swung her other hand in front of her, slamming her door open and once she was in, she slammed it shut using her power. She made it to the toilet. After a few minutes, she walked out, tears running down her cheeks, wiping her mouth with a wet rag with one hand, the other holding the bulge. She sat down at her table, laying her head down on the cool wood, feeling the indents of the engravings. She sighed, holding her stomach.

Chloe ended up finding Jesse before the show had started and smiled happily at him,
"Hey, Jesse. Do you need any help? If you're not working on anything, do you want to watch the show together?" She stood behind him, looking at what he could be working on.

Jesse had worked all through the winter, having done nearly everything that both Raze and Malachi asked of him. He was relieved some now that the Harries siblings were gone, but it was the manner of their departure that worried him some. They weren't released from the Cirque, nor had they run off. The twins were found, hung from a support beam just days before the Cirque returned to traveling. It was written off as suicide, but no one knew for sure. As for Piper, her body was found a few days after, ripped to pieces inside her own caravan. It had been so brutal, she was almost unrecognizable. Everyone assumed it was an animal attack, though it was hard to tell with what little there was left of her. Either way he didn't feel remorse for it, for she wasn't that interested in being even friends with him anyway. What did he care? He liked traveling with the Cirque much better than being stationary, and though he still spent time with Chloe when he could, their relationship hadn't had time to grow any, what with Raze and Malachi needing him all the time for jobs and Maggie calling on Chloe constantly over baby matters. Maggie didn't know it, but Chloe had told Jesse about it, not that he was eager at all to be the one to open his mouth.

What a mess. Things were worse than they had been before with the number of people needing taken out every night, and how much more careful they had to be in order to sneak them off undetected. Jesse was glad it wasn't part of his job description, that was for sure. He was working on a flat tire, and just finishing up when Chloe approached him. Having worked on vehicles all day, he was covered in grease and oil, just the way he usually was. He greeted her as he slipped a wrench into his tool belt, wiping his brow of sweat even though it was chilly out.
"Hey Clo, how was your day? Anymore crazy stories about our secretive little friend?" he asked before she spoke up. He agreed to go with her to the show, slipping in a quick shower before heading out though. Hitting the sidelines with her, he grabbed two stool chairs and sat beside her, smirking as Maggie tried to hide her paunch. "Raze is going to have a cow...you know that right?"

Malachi shook his head when she stated that she hated to be a burden, finding her hardly so. Seeing the way she sucked down the bottle of water, he stood to get her another, listening to her explanation as to why the guards had been after her. He smiled some to her gratitude, shrugging some. "It's nothing. Always willing to help a damsel in distress." Kai grinned a bit and winked at her, setting another water bottle on the table for her before heading towards the back of his caravan and removing the coat of his suit to lay on his bed before moving to rummage through his fridge again. The magician pulled out a couple of steaks from the freezer, setting the package on the counter and grabbing out different things to marinate them with before closing the fridge again. He looked over to her when she asked where she was, smiling a little as he turned his attention to pulling out different seasonings from his cupboard. "My dear, you have stumbled upon the Cirque des Horreurs." He stated with a bit of a french accent to up his charm. The magician started up the broiler on his stove and opened the package of meat before continuing while washing his hands. "We're kind of like the island of misfit toys here. A dysfunctional family that likes to put on a show. We travel from place to place putting on your normal, everyday circus with a bit of a darker flare. You certainly stumbled upon a good place if you're looking to hide from those guards. We'll be out of this city again in no time, and we continue to move around. They wont be able to follow you if you stick with us. I can almost guarantee that. If they were to follow, our ringmaster wouldn't be too pleased. Our psychic would be sure to pick up on their hunting of us and we'd always be one step ahead." Kai nodded and finished preparing the steaks before slipping them into the oven and rinsing his hands off. He pulled out a can of fruit cocktail and opened it, draining the juice. He also pulled out a can of green beans and did the same, but placed them into a bowl before sticking them in the microwave to heat up.

Soon enough, dinner was ready and he served up the plates, setting one down in front of her with a fork and steak knife. He figured that if she hadn't eaten in four days, then she had to be hungry. He took a few bites of his steak himself before speaking to her once more.
"I'm Malachi, by the way, but you can call me Kai if you like. Or Zach - it's my middle name." The man nodded with a smile. Not many people called him by his middle name, but every once in a while someone would use it. It tended to throw him off for a second, but he paid it no mind. Malachi opened his own bottle of water and washed down some of his food before looking back to the girl, still smiling.

Chloe smiled at Jesse happily, wanting to hug him, but she knew he wouldn't be too happy if she got herself covered in this mess. She fallowed Jesse and shook her head sighing, "My day has been a bit busy... What about yours, Jesse? Well, she knows it's a boy. But other than that, no, just the usual vomiting, getting bigger, getting testy and getting very defensive. Her cravings are insane though. Pickles with chocolate and peanut butter is her favorite... or tuna with rice pudding... She get's the strangest cravings. I feel really bad for her though." She waited outside of his caravan, giving him privacy. Waiting for him to come back, she looked at the blossoming flowers. She picked a small butter flower and sniffed it. When Jesse came back out, she walked with him to the main tent. Chloe sat down and thanked him for the stool. She watched Magnolia perform, noticing how she moved was different from all the other times she danced. She looked at Jesse worried and asked, "You really think he's going to be upset about this? It's really bad timing and there is just so much going on. Having to collect so many people, traveling and what the future brings for everyone... I feel terrible for Magnolia. This pregnancy is kicking her a**. I can't imagine having someone you love being on your case about it too. She's going to go madder than the hatter. I just hope that Kale understands that she's honestly scared of this whole pregnancy thing." She sighed and looked back at the show, seeing Magnolia finish and call out Malachi. She crossed her legs and watched Magnolia approach him. "Magnolia has to talk to him about it tonight. She knows it will make things worse when her belly gets too big. Jesse, she really is scared about this. It's not just talking to Kale about it, but so much is going through her mind. She needs Kale's support. To let her know it will be okay." Chloe sighed again, taking Jesse's hand for her own comfort. It's been a while since they have been able to hang out like this. And hold hands. She saw Magnolia get away, but didn't see her sash fall off.

Out of curiosity, Chloe looked at Jesse and asked,
"Just a random question. What would you do if I told you I was pregnant with your baby?"

Callie listened as the man described this place to her, smiling a bit when he used the accent. It was rather impressive, especially if he was fluent. It seemed safe, as long as she stayed a secret she supposed. She thought on his name a moment, turning it over in her head, sure that not many people would use the full 'Malachi' either as it wasn't very common. She offered a smile and responded, thanking him for the second bottle of water, taking it a bit slower with that one, and lighting up at the plate of food set before her. A man who potentially spoke french, AND had a talent for cooking? Impressed, she answered between bites, trying to eat slowly and savor every bite. "Well, this place seems safe enough, especially if it is constantly moving. Do you cook dinner like this for all your 'cute stowaways'?" She asked with a bit of a giggle, having not been flirted with in quite some time. She was flattered, though the notion seemed so foreign. She looked over his features, trying to guess at his age in her head, but soon returned to her plate, taking a few more bites before remembering she hadn't given her name yet. "Callie Renee Petrova. I don't really have any nicknames so I guess Callie is it. You really are quite the cook Malachi. Color me impressed. I am assuming, judging by your caravan here, that you are the magician of this place? Not to mention the cards you were handling before I so rudely stumbled into your life."

Smiling and sipping more water, she finished her food, plate clean, and returned to her position with her knees up and arms around them. Typically she would have taken care of the dishes but she was afraid to step over any lines. She couldn't afford to anger or upset her new found savior. She liked listening to him speak to her as she had been running for so long with zero conversation, it was nice to be full, warm, and in the company of someone as interesting as Malachi. He had an odd darkness and mystery about him, and it intrigued her some, not to mention she owed the guy her life.
"So what is the plan then? I mean I can slip out and keep moving whenever you say go, or I guess if the lifestyle is tolerable I could help out somehow. I've never tried anything even close to performing so I don't know what I would be good at. I just don't want to bother you or be a burden to anyone...I used to work as a house maid before all the trouble if you could use that!" She smiled trying to be helpful but caught herself rambling and bit her lip to stop herself.

Jesse held Chloe's hand absentmindedly thinking on how he thought Raze would react when Maggie told him. Would Raze even let her keep the baby once he found out, given the situation he was in? He was in no position to focus on being a father, especially now running a traveling cirque, training Malachi, keeping everyone happy, dealing with the Devil and keeping him pleased, on top of running his tight ship. Now he would have a small helpless life on his hands to worry about. Jesse shook his head. "I don't know Clo, I'd be awfully surprised if he even lets Maggie keep it. He has so much on his plate that I don't know he can deal with it. Maybe he will get extra points or something if he sells it's soul to the Devil. I overheard a few stagehands talking and I guess that is what all the traveling is about. They wipe out two to three people per night now. It's crazy, and very bad timing."

Watching as Malachi hit the stage, Jesse blushed a bit to Chloe's question and looked over at her with a smirk.
"Well, I would say you were a liar because we haven't slept together like that!" He laughed and thought a bit longer before squinting into the distance and settling on his serious answer. "I would be happy, I think. Before I came here I wanted nothing more than to be settled, married, kids, and a house. My degree from college would give me a really good paying lawyer job, and I'd be all set. All of that changed when I came here though and I can't do all that now it seems. So even if it weren't done the way I always thought it would, I'd still be happy to have a little one running around for me to teach things to. Honestly I don't ever see me making it out of the Cirque. I'll probably be stuck here until I am an old man and die in my caravan of old age. You forget, I am not immortal and frozen in this state like you guys have the privilege of being. Granted it would be crappy timing, but I would try to make the best out of it." Jesse smiled and looked to her for her response, hoping his answer would be alright by her.

Malachi couldn't help but chuckle a bit when she questioned him on his cooking. "I don't have many stowaways, but I've been known to cook a meal or two for guests. Especially the cute ones." He nodded and took another sip of his water as well as another bite of his food as she gave him her name. The magician smiled when complimented on his cooking, thanking her and nodded when she'd perceived that he was the magician of the cirque. "The one and only! Master of magic and illusion. It's been my life for quite a number of years. Devoted myself to it really, learning everything I can." Kai smiled a little fondly and nodded once more, finishing up his own plate and gathering up the dishes to set in the sink. He'd take care of them later, but for now he just rinsed them off before taking his seat again.

When she asked about a plan, Malachi shrugged a bit, unsure of what to do with her really. Would the ringmaster mind having another member on staff? The idea of having his own personal housemaid didn't sound too bad, and he couldn't help but grin as a rather dirty thought ran through his mind. The man shook the thought from his mind with a small laugh, looking her over a moment.
"Well, you're more than welcome to stay the night here if you like. As far as something you could do, I guess I could figure something out, or talk to Master Raze about anywhere he could place you. If nothing else, I suppose I could use you as an assistant on stage - add a couple little acts for you. On second though...should probably keep you hidden until we figure it out. Master Raze isn't fond of people who have no use in his Cirque." He nodded again, thinking on it. Keeping her hidden was probably the best option. "So, I suppose a housemaid it is! Until we find something else, of course." Malachi chuckled a bit with a smile, wondering where to place her for the night. Of course, he'd be happy to share the bed, but seeing as she was on the run and rather frazzled, perhaps she wouldn't be too fond of the idea.

Raze had changed over the course of his return. He was colder, meaner. He held less care for those he slaughtered, and didn't walk around enjoying the beauty of nature like he used to. Anymore he had a one track mind to get things done, and get them done right. He had spent a majority of his time with Malachi, rather enjoying the conversation that came with their like-mindedness. He could trust him, and he liked that fact, relying on Jesse quite a bit lately as well. Jesse had seemed fine and no major changes had yet to take hold, other than his constant eating. He had no complaints with Chloe as she had yet to screw up tickets, and as for Maggie, she had recently been keeping rather distant. Raze noticed, but said nothing of it, figuring it was just the stress of the matters at hand. He entered the arena and announced in the opening acts, then returned later to announce Magnolia's. Her movements were off. Her dancing was far too reserved for her usual style, and she seemed to be playing it safe. Why?

Safe wasn't as entertaining as boldness. It irritated him a bit, but he said nothing, having not noticed her belly at all. He was focused on everything else around him. When Malachi took the stage a wave of relief washed over him, hoping like hell he could interest the crowed again. It wasn't that they didn't enjoy Maggie, she had just played it far too safely. Once the show ended, Raze thanked them all for being a spectacular audience and released them all to go. Malachi had vanished, to his caravan as usual for a drink he assumed. In obliging to Maggie's request, he went directly to her caravan and knocked, stepping in when allotted.
"Alright, tell me what is going on. Your performance tonight was a bit...safe. Don't you think? What happened to all the dancing? Are you sick?" Feeling her forehead, she seemed fine, but he looked her over and noticed nothing out of the ordinary. Wondering what the hell was going on and what it was she wanted to talk to him about.

Chloe looked up at him and frowned a bit. Jesse had a point. Everything was going hay wire now. She thought for a moment and said, "I think Maggie could do it though. She's a psychic after all. She would know when the baby is hungry, need a change, is awake, ect." Chloe thought again. But she would imagine Kale trying to be there for the child too... right? "You can still have two of the four things. Have a wife and have little ones running around. You have to keep in mind, not everything lasts forever. I think we all will die in a way, but I don't know how. I think everything would go well if I was pregnant. But then again, watching Magnolia eat the strangest foods on earth makes my stomach turn..." She laughed a bit. She watched the show with Jesse, not letting go of his hand. When Kale had ended the show, she linked arms with him after getting up. She pushed her hair behind her ear and looked at Jesse with a big smile, "So, what are you doing tonight?" She playfully bumped her hip to his, nudging him away a bit. It was Spring, the nights were still chilly but not freezing like in Winter. Hopefully, he didn't have anything in planned. When they walked out of the tent, Chloe saw the Ringmaster go into Magnolia's caravan. She looked at Jesse in complete shock and worry. She walked over with him quietly, trying to listen in on what is going on.

Callie had never thought of it before, but thinking on it now, magic could be rather interesting. Was it real or simply illusions? Was there such a thing as real magic? If so what was it like to use? Shaking her thoughts when he described the options they had, she nodded taking them in. "I can do that, at least until we figure out what else I can do. Ha! Let me guess, you want me to parade around in a skimpy sparkly outfit and hand you swords right?" She giggled picking up on his flirts and catching this one over the obvious 'house maid' one she had missed. She rolled her eyes, finally remembering what life was like before she was on the run. She had men on her tail constantly and though it was a rather decent way to keep up her self esteem, she wasn't fond of it but used to it and accepted it as just the way some men were.

Running her fingers through her hair again, she made a scrunchie face and wrinkled her nose.
"I don't suppose I could shower could I?" She sighed in relief when he allowed her to use his. So excited to be clean, she jumped in the moment he closed the door behind him, and completely forgot that she had lost her bag the day before while running in the woods and she had no clean clothes. She indulged in the hot water, loving the feeling of her clean soft skin and hair. She grabbed a nearby towel he had left her and dried off, towel drying her hair some before wrapping the towel around her body. Remembering then that her bag was gone she sighed and rolled her eyes. Turning on the sink, she placed her dress and other clothing in the water and hand washed them. Wringing them out she set them to dry and sat beside the shower on the floor to wait for it. She rested her head on the wall and almost slipped to sleep before she heard Malachi knock, asking if she was alright as she had been in there so long.

"Uhh, yeah, I am okay. Just waiting on my clothes is all..." Making sure she was completely covered, she opened the door and kept her gaze to the floor. "I lost my bag..."
