User ImageName: Riley Barringer

Nickname: Rye, Riles, Lee, whatever you feel like calling him he'll probably answer to.

Age: 20

Birthday: February 21

Sign: Pices

Gemstone: Aquamarine

Blood Type: O

Fav. Food: Tuna & Sweet Potato (Kumera) Patties OR Kelp Chips. He can't decide.

Hated Food: Fairy Bread

School: None

Hobbies:

Networking - Probably not in the sense you think, Riley has a deep seated love for networking. Since his father was a fisherman, he grew up on docks his entire life, and has grown rather handy at most marinerwork, including net manufacturing. He considers weaving and building your own nets a dying art, considering so many simply BUY nets, and out of different, more durable materials than rope. Frequently, he can be found practicing his knot-work absentmindedly with a piece of rope, and figures out new, more complicated designs for his network after each project.

He teaches a sailing class including his passion for network and ropework in general at the local marina in an effort to educate the youth of Destiny City on old traditions and seafaring skills.

LD Swimming - He only swims Free. (I'm sorry, I'll stop now.) But really, Riley only DOES swim out in the wide open spaces of natural water. Pools feel restrictive to him, and he likes long distance swimming much better. Swimming in the ocean feels more natural to him, though if he will settle for a rather large lake or pond. He's been known to swim in his insulated wetsuit during cold months even, and has nearly gotten hypothermia twice.

**Riley does take precautionary measures when he goes into the ocean where there is no park official or dock officiant to notify. He always leaves a rough estimate via lattitude/longitude of where he'll be, rests at every bouy, and even has a small tracker the connects to the Neptune that he turns on in his wetsuit just in case. While he DOES go with people a lot, he will also rather recklessly go alone. He realizes this is dangerous and always gauges the weather before such excursions.

Sailing - Riley loves sailing with reckless abandon, and has his own wind-powered sailboat gifted to him by his father for his twentieth birthday. While she needs some TLC being a rather OLD sailboat, Neptune is still a good vessel, and Riley actually lives on her full time. He used to be gone for weeks at a time until he got his job at the aquarium, and loves the challenge of traditional sailing. He's a bit of a sailing snob, and looks down on motorized water vehicles.

Capoeira - On one of his many 'I'm going to take a trip' sailing outings in which he was gone for a few months with narry a word on his whereabouts, he learned Capoeira from a friend he made on a nice tropical island where he spent most of his time during that trip. With his strong swimmers muscles, and natural flexibility, he was able to pick up the skill fairly quickly, and trains for about an hour or so every morning and every evening near religiously. Sometimes he goes to the local gym to beat the hell outta some hanging bags, and occasionally fights some of the MMA fighters and boxers that train there also. He's usually training forms/power on his boat though, rather than with people.

Virtues:

Chillaxed -- For most things, it is incredibly difficult to ruffle Riley's feathers. He's very 'go with the flow' and gets along easily with others, though he's equally comfortable being independent. He's of the 'What will be will be' camp, sparing him many grudges and other such nasty emotions that lots of people deal with. You almost think there's something inherently wrong with him, he's so calm, usually.

Good-natured -- A genuinely good guy, he runs to hold open doors for people, pulls out chairs for women, and gets along great with the guys laughing over a pint of beer. He's easy to talk to and get to know, being such an open person himself, and doesn't try to push you too hard to speak to him. A dopey kind of sweet, some may call him hapless, but by and large he's quite likeable and agreeable.

Encouraging -- If you need a motivator or someone just rallying in your corner, look no further. Riley is up front and center for a bout of encouragement, letting everyone around him know they should pursue their goals and dreams no matter what. He's dropped everything before just to go on adventures, and look at all the cool stuff he's done! He often has anecdotes from his travels to help encourage others, and is always available to lend an open ear or shoulder to cry on.

Selfless -- When there's trouble, Riley's the first to jump in. With very little thought for his own safety, he'll volunteer for the most outlandish and dangerous things if he's convinced someone's in danger, whether physically or emotionally (and occasionally financially). It makes him a good team player, and a natural shield for others.

Flaws:

Carefree -- While his chill atmosphere can be calming in most cases, occasionally it slips into the 'disturbing' category to others. It isn't always that he's just calm, Riley is so relaxed and unruffled because he's desensitized himself to many emotions, and simply ceases to care. He doesn't care if something is a means to an ends, because he considers it temporary, he doesn't care about his own health though thankfully he's naturally healthy, and he tries not to blink when he loses people now, considering it inevitable as death claims everyone at some point. All in all, he's so relaxed because he's numb on the inside due to past events in his life.

Facade' -- As goodnatured and happy as he may be, there are hints of the carefully constructed mask Riley puts in place. While he seems like a generally happy person, inside he's numb and hollow and really quite lonely. Subconsciously he's afraid of letting anyone TOO close to his heart for fear of losing them again. If the dam in his mind that kept things looking cool and collected ever so much as cracked, Riley would fall to pieces in intense grief.

Too much, too soon -- Riley can be incredibly loyal. Unfortunately, this loyalty and and willingness to help no matter what is often granted to those that could take advantage of it with how quickly he's willing to lay it on the line for friends. Once the dam of his emotions breaks, this will extend to all other parts of his personality as well.

Tbd --

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Eyes: Stormy Grey

Hair: Raven, relaxed style (see ref)

Face: Square jaw, averagely handsome features. Not a blow your mind Adonis, but not average either. A forgetful beauty.

Clothes: If possible, his work/swimming wetsuit. See refs. If not, I'll make a ref for clothes.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Personality Quirks::
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ☆ Riley has PTSD. Certain things pertaining to swimming, specifically drowning or injury, can cause him to freeze and go into an anxiety attack. There's a 50/50 chance of him breaking down and being unable to act as he spirals into self-blame, or he will blindly rush into help despite the personal danger or injury it may cause himself. Occasionally the stress of these incidents is so high, Riley's memory 'blanks' and he will suddenly wonder why he's doing something or what's going on in a short-term lapse in memory.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ☆ Such as seeing someone dragged beneath water (this will become a problem when he is awakened and is attacking others) forcibly. Swimming doesn't trigger him, but the sound of gasping for air/being pulled under DOES. He will immediately freeze, and when he hears a scream, he goes blank, his immediate reaction being running towards the scream. It is the only time people can consciously see him lose his cool.

Senshi: Sailor Psamanthe, Senshi of Ocean Currents

Challenge: Sorry, mate. But I gotta take you under.

Fuku Colour:
Main Color: Naval dark blue
Secondary Color: Gold accents and lighter blues.

Fuku:
User Image

Tiara::
Three pronged off kilter circlet, which pushes his hair back to the opposite side of his civilian form as it grows in length.

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Hydrothermal Scald --projectile attack
A boiling blast of water hailing from the deepest currents the ocean has to offer comes barreling at an opponent. The temperature is hot enough to cause a burn, but is rather large and clunky, making it easy to dodge. Splashback damage from a blast of water breaking on a surface is significantly less but acts like a scattershot.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Riptide --area attack
Water collects on the ground around Psamanthe, should an opponent find themselves stepping inside that range of water, they find themselves jerked into a tube of water meant to incapacitate and possibly drown them. Once an opponent steps on the water, it activates and other resulting puddles and water on the ground from the attack gather in one place to form a quickly moving circle of water that rotates around Psamanthe. The sensation is much like being pulled into the middle of an undertow, and lasts for 10 seconds. The target is then flung out of the circle as it dissipates.

Psamanthe MUST stay in the center of the ring, as his energy is the gravitational force causing the waters current to be so strong. If he's knocked out of the circle, it immediately dissipates.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Maelstrom -- area/ranged attack
Sailor Psamanthe calls massive waterspouts to spiral around him, and can maneuver them to pull targets into them from a range by changing the trajectory. The targets are then stuck inside of the watery constructs for 20 seconds.

Similar to Riptide, the targets experience massive water pressure, only at a MUCH larger scale. Release from the spinning whirlpools can cause symptoms of the 'bends' in muscles and bones. No actual bones or muscles are being torn or broken from the De-pressurization, as the whirlpools are made of water-based magic, but the body experiences the ghost pains of such an ordeal.

.History

Riles grew up watching his father Collin on the wharf, a single dad due to divorce, Riley has a little sister somewhere in the world, but as his relationship with his mother after the divorce is nonexistant, he doesn't know his half sister. Collins captain, Capt. Eriol, was a kind but stern old seaman who taught Riley everything he knew and kept watch over the young lad growing up while his father was working. The crew were his uncles, their wives his occasional caretakers, but his REAL mother and love of his life was always the ocean.

Learning netting and seafaring from his father and Eriol (whom he now affectionately calls 'grandda' now that the old man is retired and Collins taken his place on the Siren), he was gifted his own boat for his eighteenth birthday. His father and adopted grandfather both knew the moment he was gifted with a seaworthy and fully stocked vessel his time on land and near home was limited, and sure enough, Riley found himself traveling the world for weeks at a time aimlessly, coming home for a month or two at a time to restock and work for more money set aside before going out again.

On one of these trips, only a few months after he'd received his boat, he met a very dear person to him on a small island he'd meant to visit only a short while. As he and Noah spent more time together though, he found himself continually not leaving, and soon Noah was teaching him Capoeira, ANOTHER excuse to stay. He didn't return home until two years later, his eyes not quite as bright as they used to be and not as excitable as he'd been before.

Excitable and animated in his youth, he was never quite so calm and contemplative as he is now, and his protection of others has gone through the ROOF since returning. What his father and grandfather do not know, but suspect, is accurate. Noah and Riley were more than just friends, Riley having fallen in love with the engaged Noah during his time there. But during a long distance swim, Noah came out on a small schooner to collect and warn Riley of a storm coming and massive waves he had no hope of swimming through safely, but all too soon the storm hit, toppling the schooner on its way back to shore.

Riley attempted to get to him and save him, but Noah was caught by an undertow and dragged out farther to sea faster than Riley could catch him. He tried following the current to find his dear friend, but passed out from muscle exhaustion. It was by the grace of the gods that he was swept ashore to a small outlier of rocks close to the main island where he could rest before swimming back into shore. By the time he was able to alert the coastal guard, Noah had drowned and there was nothing left of him to find. Since then, Riley's had PTSD-related triggers with the event and has come home, content to not stray too far from home again.

He's settled on a more mundane life, still related to the sea whom he has bittersweet love for now, and is interning as a marine biologist at the Destiny City Aquarium. He takes care of informational tours, feedings, and tank cleanings, and occasionally go out with the research team on boats to either relocate/rehabilitate their aquatic mammals, or to transfer new aquatic species to the Aquarium.

While he's happy to speak about any of his other various travels abroad, he refuses to speak of his time on the island, and even the NAME Noah makes him flinch and he shies away from people with that name naturally.

I don't see too much I can personally crit on (as most of it looks great) - I have a few questions though to start with!

Swimming, Sailing and Networking - is there a way he can do this with other people? I know these can be solidarity hobbies but they can also be a great way to socialize - but mainly I just wonder has he/could he/would he do any of this with a friend?

Also could you - and this is kind of more for my benifit than anything that needs to be changed - define/explain Capoeria more from the description you have I'm assuming it's a style of boxing/fighting? (you know what they say about assuming)

Also Beyond the questions I feel the need to mention something - the PTSD trigger maybe touching on some stormy waters here (pun intended) normally characters with such harsh traumas/disabilities/etc have been a touch and go subject at best - Perhaps keep in mind that something like this the mods may be wary of allowing. I think it's interesting but it also may need something more like a plot associated with it as well or something if the mods allow it /IDEK. (I just know about past instances and the few people I know that have such harsh disabilities/traumas/etc had a really good/compelling reason/plot behind such.)

***Edit***

Actually very important. There's an Age Cut off for Senshi as well. If they're over 20 they can't become a senshi - they could be Knight or Negaverse though! I've ran into this problem a few times. ^^; Sorry I just noticed the age thing.

LP

First off, thank you for the questions/looksee! I appreciate it! :3

OK. Answering questions/offering info::

Yes, because of his easy-going (for the most part) nature, he isn't ANTISOCIAL really, and actually enjoys teaching other people his craft like he was taught. He also has knowledge of other nautical things, so say if someone wanted to go swimming or fishing, he'd be happy to do so with them. During his travels he's made LOADS of casual friends talking about his boat, and working on it in various ports of harbor. In fact, were someone to visit him at the docks/at home on his boat and he were working on her, he'd probably invite them aboard and hand them some sandpaper and show them how to sand/temper the wood while they talk if they wanted to.

Also, since marine life and the aquarium are such a big part of his life right now as well, he's also more than happy to rp/interact there, and show people around proudly. Even cool behind the scene stuff while he's working (he'd likely bend the rules a little and give them his spare intern badge to wear on their neck/bag/whatever so they don't arouse too much suspicion).

As far as swimming goes, he loves swimming with others! He just dislikes pools. Larger bodies of water, like the oceans and lakes, are more his style.

Quick Rundown on Capoeria::
Capoeria is a Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics and music, and is sometimes referred to as a game. It is known by quick and complex moves, using mainly power, speed, and leverage for a wide variety of kicks, spins, and highly mobile techniques; at heart is the ginga, the back-and-forth, foot-to-foot movement that serves as the starting point for such leverage. Capoeira used in genuine self-defense situations incorporates many sweeps and low moves, whereas when played as a game there is more emphasis on high moves, demonstrations of acrobatics, full cartwheels (called au) for evasion, and flips or other exotic techniques by mestres (masters), and performing an entertaining match for the audience.

He'd be happy to teach this to someone, as he has happy memories of it and attaches it to memories of Noah specifically since that's who trained HIM to begin with. Also, he wouldn't mind 'game' or 'exhibition' fights to show off acrobatic skill, and would like a partner to do so. Basically, this is the style of martial arts that looks more like dancing with a few fighting moves trickled in than actual fighting, but IS used as a legitimate form of self defense and would give him a fighting style/background for when he turns powered.

As for the PTSD.
He watched the unrequited love of his life (so far) drown, and blames himself for this because Noah came out to warn HIM, and associates the images of watching him drown with the PTSD. Those are his triggers, anything that resembles drowning or an immediate distress he cannot get to (like the screaming). Because of the way his magic/attacks are going to work, I thought it would be interesting for him to have IMMENSE problems seeing his attacks in action, and trigger him to freeze as a penalty/battle weakness when they go off, because they remind him of the sensation/images so much.

The plot reason for it IS in his history, but if I need to elaborate more on how that event actually effected him, I can.

PostPosted: Sat Dec 21, 2013 10:15 pm

Absolutely! And thank you for the answers /explanations! =3 I totally think he sounds like a fun character!

If you manage to get him I think him and Azzo should meet (Azzo got into kickboxing because of this whole war thing). I think it'd be fun to see the two interact. =3

---

@PTSD. /nod

Yeah like I said I just know certain things have been warned against and gone by on the side of caution (again this is from having been here from ages - new staff may have a slight difference in stances) and I was just making sure this was something that was kept in mind while questing for this character and asking for critique. A lot of people are rather wary of the use of such things as PTSD and other trumas/disabilities/etc in a personality trait.

I can see how that sort of History would totally cause a flight or fight reflex though. My dad never goes near the ocean when we're at the beach because of having been caught in an undertow and he can't swim. Luckily my mom managed to get to him before anything bad happened.

Hi Phae! You asked for crit in the main thread, and I wanted to try helping you out with Riley! This is in no way official crit - mostly these are just suggestions to prep your character for official review!

A lot of his hobbies are very interesting, especially with how sea-oriented he is both in personality and occupations! Like LP mentioned before, I'd like to know if any of these have him interacting with others - it's stated in capoeira that he will occasionally fight other people, but what about the rest? Does he take people sailing or chat about it with others? What about with swimming? When he works nets, does he do so in public areas for the company? Answering these questions in your profile could help smooth out the stamping process!

As for the virtues, they intertwine well and paint him as a personable and extroverted guy. I especially like how you wrote encouraging, as it greatly applies to both himself and others. I would like to know how 'chillaxed' applies to others, though - does he calm others down with his demeanor through explaining his views? Are these virtues expressed around strangers too, or just friends? Additionally, the second sentence for selfless sounds a little more like a flaw than a virtue, which a mod might ask you to change when you receive official crit!

While most of the profile reads very smoothly, the flaws could use a little work! The first three don't quite read as flaws from an external point of view. Carefree reads more as indifferent, maybe? Additionally, i see it clashing somewhat with the façade flaw, as this flaw describes a great numbness, yet the following describes intense emotion. These are both facets of PTSD, but you may want to clarify the discrepancy by indicating which scenarios might provoke his apathy and which scenarios would provoke his grieving?

And with façade, is his loneliness projected outward? This flaw concerns me the most, because if it's only an inwardly recognized flaw then other people will not see the flaw. Maybe you could rewrite it as grieving, and that he will occasionally lapse into tears / other grieving mechanics around others? Maybe it puts people off from dealing with him when they see this? Lastly, you may want to change the name of the flaw or reorient it around the mask portion of his life if you prefer to stick with wearing an emotional mask over loneliness / grief.

Too much too soon - I'm having a little trouble interpreting this flaw. Is this more geared toward his manipulable qualities, or that he may run people off with how quickly he'll try to do anything for them? If the latter applies, would clinginess fit into this flaw as well?

Trigger - This last flaw is really tricky to have as a flaw because of its implications here. Listing triggers as a flaw implies that people who can be triggered are inherently flawed as a direct result, so a lot of people might be put off from playing with him if they read this as part of his profile. I'm not discouraging you from using this as part of his character, but it would be best to keep it out of the profile process. Mental disorders and their facets don't directly apply to one's personality - perhaps instead you might elaborate on how his other virtues can become flaws? For example, if his selflessness leads him to neglect himself, or his encouragement might come off as dismissive of others' problems? I understand what you're going for with how triggers play into his powered state, but unfortunately the flaw category is not the place for this part of him.

Also, you mentioned a ref in his physical description - I'd like to see it, if you have it available!

For his powered side, are you going CC on his fuku, or are you going to post a ref? I'd like to know what you come up with here!

If you ever need help coming up with attacks, I might be able to give some ideas as well.

Good luck on your quest, and I hope the crit helped!

-cracks knuckles and gets to work-

LD Swimming: Ocean swimming is wonderful, and I've only ever waded into waist deep before, but that's mainly because the life guards and everyone around me was like "Um yeah, don't ah... don't do anything else." That's because ocean swimming is crazy hecka dangerous, between how often and fast the ocean changes, the currents, the waves, and just about everything else. I did a little research and every source I found says not to go swimming in the ocean alone. You make it sound like he just hops out there pel mel like "aw yiss it's swimmin' time" but in reality you're supposed to take account of the conditions of the ocean and the weather and everything else. So I'd clear that up just to make it more believable.

Sailing: Another equally complicated and hazard rampant hobby. Does Riley have a background in sailing? Who taught him? Where did he learn? You make it sound like he just picked it up one day and it winging it and that's not safe at all. Flesh out the background of this a little bit more to make it more believable.

Capoeira: Don't assume we know what you're talking about. At first I thought this was an island, then I thought it was sort of yoga, and now I don't know what I think. Don't make your readers work for information, define things you think will need defining.

Now on to virtues!

These all have good bones, but I would go into deeper detail as to how Riley uses these aspects of his personality to interact. Right now Riley is just sort of floating without a purpose in the void with all these aspects.

Relaxed: Does Riley's relaxed (I refuse to use the term chillax on principle alone, but that's just the thesis writer in me) nature have a calming effect on those around him? Is he a source of comfort because he's always the friend that's okay. If that's the case that could be a really good idea for a flaw. Because I'm that friend that's always okay and when I'm not okay anymore I'm really not okay. Does this relaxed state of being have limitations or is he that guy who says "everything happens for a reason" and shrugs. Because that guy doesn't have a job and lazy can easily become a counterpoint for a flaw.

Good-natured / Encouraging: So my sister is the quietest, sweetest, most giving person in the whole world. I have seen her give the real life shirt off of her back to someone she didn't even know. I have also seen her ******** a b***h up. Like really. Someone called me a dyke and she sent them to the hospital. So what I'm trying to say is that everyone has their limitations. Besides that is how does this kind of behavior effect the people around him. You said he seems dopey but that seems to be a little lacking in substance for me. I also really feel like these can be the same thing, since encouraging seems to be an off shoot of being good natured. Honestly, I would ball both of these virtues into a sort of "good Guy Riley" virtue but please for the love of god I will burn something if you actually use the name of the meme if you test me you will fail.

Selfless: Eh. Again, this seems like it can also be balled into Good Guy-ed-ness I mean these all feel like facets of the same thing. I would do the good guy thing and use those tropes under something like Prince Charming ie: selfless, encouraging, and good natured and than deviate into something else. Like is Riley really good at small talk which makes it easy to get to know him, or maybe is he really open about himself? Is he maybe super agile -- idk. I just feel like your last three are the same thing.

Woah flaws omg we've come so far I feel like we know each other.

did you know that these don't actually read as flaws? They read more like "Not-Quite-Virtues" for the most part.

Carefree: I would change this to reckless. Carefree makes it sound too whimsical. I mean really as you have it written it should be "easily taken advantage of." I mean to a point. The numb part should be in a different category. Here I would focus on how his being a good guy makes him an easy target.

Facade: Ah. Tricky. I know facades. I know them well. The only problem I see with the way you have it set up is that this is actually pretty common. It's just part of being a faceted individual. We all have facades and masks. You can't be your true self 100% of the time. No one would have a job or friends. I would honestly rework this whole thing and tailor it tighter to him personally. We're all lonely, but what is his particular brand of loneliness? How is it unique only to him? Is it self induced? Is his good guy thing just to gain surface friends but he lacks real emotional connection? Facade is too broad and vague, whittle it down and tailor it.

TMTS: Because I'm lazy as frick I'm not typing it out. this goes back into the first one, I think. I'd scrap it, honestly, and just make one big "The Drawbacks of being a Good Guy"

Trigger: Honestly, unless oyu have or have personal experience from a mental illness, I tend to advise to stay away from it. Just because it's easy to get wrong and offend a whole slew of people in like 0 time. Also, like Strick said, it has REALLY bad implications. I'm telling you to scrap it. That is not advice. That is the best thing for this "flaw."

Here we are at the end, old friend.

Honestly, I don't commit to a history for a while just because it locks too much of the character in before you even get a chance to play them BUT do you breh. Do you. Really I mean that's it. Keep it vague and use it as scaffolding, not integral parts of the character you know.

Tah dah

Dont' worry about the Capoeira thing! When I used that as a Quest Hobby, I went ahead and put something close to what you have!

For his Hobbies, if you want a bit more of examples, you can take a peek at Marot (For Capoeira) and my Chibi Senshi of Sailing Quest Vela (sailing) for an example of accepted quests with those hobbies!

I love the designs of his Fuku, and I can't wait to see his attacks!

Hey there, I saw your request in AIM chat to look over his attacks. Hopefully I can help out some with this. I'm going to just bullet point some things if that's okay.

Base and Super
Main thing here is that each attack is so vastly different. Super attacks is basically an upgrade of the base attack where you choose two attributes from the previous attack to 'boost'. Both attacks seem quite interesting and easy to play with but my suggestion is to choose one (if base then upgrade to super ; if super then a downgraded version for base) Please note these are just ideas.

example:1
Sailor Scout Attack: Hydrothermal Scald --projectile attack
A boiling blast of water hailing from the deepest currents the ocean has to offer comes barreling at an opponent. The temperature is hot enough to cause (the sensation of) a (level/degree)burn, but is rather large and clunky, making it easy to dodge. Splashback damage from a blast of water breaking on a surface is significantly less but acts like a scattershot. (This attack can be used ____ times and has a range of ____ feet.)

Super Sailor Scout Attack: (insert really cool name) - projectile attack
A boiling blast of water hailing from the deepest currents the ocean has to offer comes barreling at an opponent. Unlike his base attack, Psamanthe is able to change the direction of the current blast so it is more serpentine and covers an angled span of 30 degrees in front of him (15 degrees to each side).(?)The temperature is hot enough to cause (the sensation of) a (level/ degree) - *note could be an upgrade of the first burn, but is rather large and clunky, making it easy to dodge. Splashback damage from a blast of water breaking on a surface is significantly less but acts like a scattershot. (This attack can be used ____ times and has a range of ____ feet.)

OR (trying not to step on Orcus' toes - her journal isn't updated so I had to track down her quest)

example 2:
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Riptide --area attack
Water collects on the ground from no more than ______ feet away from (*note possible down grade being smaller than super) around Psamanthe, should an opponent find themselves stepping inside that range of water, they find themselves jerked into a tube of water meant to incapacitate and makes the opponent feel like they are drowning for the next ____ seconds - (I suggest 15-20) *note possible down grade being smaller than super . Once an opponent steps on the water, it activates and other resulting puddles and water on the ground from the attack gather in one place to form a quickly moving circle of water that is (a)___ foot radius *note possible down grade being smaller than super that rotates around Psamanthe. The sensation is much like being pulled into the middle of an undertow, and lasts for 10 seconds. (The target is then flung out of the circle as it dissipates use as an upgrade for super since it is an additional knock back to the drowning sensation and being pulled in think of it as one more step)

*This attack can be used ____(same or +1 as super) times per battle and Psamanthe MUST stay in the center of the ring, as his energy is the gravitational force causing the waters current to be so strong. If he's knocked out of the circle, it immediately dissipates. (question - can someone swim towards him while in the riptide to attack him?)

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Riptide --area attack
Water collects on the ground from no more than ______ feet away from around Psamanthe, should an opponent find themselves stepping inside that range of water, they find themselves jerked into a tube of water meant to incapacitate and makes the opponent feel like they are drowning for the next ____ seconds - (I suggest 15-20) (possibly drown them(*note cannot actually drown a person it leaves them too vulnerable. I believe if a character loses consciousness they power down - don't quote me on that) . Once an opponent steps on the water, it activates and other resulting puddles and water on the ground from the attack gather in one place to form a quickly moving circle of water that is (a) ___ foot radius that rotates around Psamanthe. The sensation is much like being pulled into the middle of an undertow, and lasts for 10 seconds. The target is then flung out of the circle as it dissipates after ____ seconds.

Eternal
Eternal Sailor Attack: Maelstrom -- area/ranged attack
Sailor Psamanthe calls (add quantity) of massive waterspouts to spiral around him (up to how far away?), and can maneuver them to pull targets into them from a range by changing the trajectory. The targets are then stuck inside of the watery constructs for 20 seconds. Each construct is about ____ around and ____ feet tall. They move about as fast as____.(about how quickly do they move / are they dodgeable?)

Similar to Riptide, the targets experience massive water pressure, only at a MUCH larger scale (include effects a person may experience in the construct). Release from the spinning whirlpools can cause symptoms of the 'bends' in muscles and bones. No actual bones or muscles are being torn or broken from the De-pressurization, as the whirlpools are made of water-based magic, but the body experiences the ghost pains of such an ordeal. This attack can be used ___ time(s) per battle.

Some suggestions I have is perhaps:
- 3 constructs about 1.5' radius (3' D) and 7' tall in a 15' radius AOE with him at the center. This way he is able to grab up to three nearby opponents but cannot grab the same person twice.

Questions:
After the constructs spit a person out do they remain in effect longer or do the disappear once 'used' . If not it might be allowed to have his eternal attack be used twice since it is a shorter duration.

@_@ I hope this helps. Feel free to ping be on AIM if you have any questions.
