Tuesday December 17th to Sunday January 12th, 11:59PM EST

Welcome to TRHQ's Happy Home event! Since there's so many games planned for this event and the games section of the sales post didn't have nearly enough room, this thread will be dedicated to the information for each particular game that will be held during the event. The last post of this thread will have more detailed information about each of the prizes and any restrictions or special notes about them.

NOTE: Dates and times for games are subject to change based on busy schedules. We'll try not to change any, but if we have to, we'll announce it as soon as possible to give everyone enough notice ahead of time.

Runs from Wednesday December 18th until Sunday January 12th, 11:59PM EST

Winner: insidiousEnigma

How to play:
Once in a while, this little Jirachi will appear in one of the staff's posts. If you want to play, you must be the first person to quote that post and roll a 1 out of 2, as only the first person to do so will count. If you roll a 1, your wish came true, and you get one point. If you roll a 2, however, your wish wasn't granted and you don't get any points. The person with the most points at the end of the Happy Home event wins this Jirachi!

Rules/Important notes:
  1. There are no restrictions on who can participate based on how many Pokémon they own - the only Pokémon-related restriction is that you must not have hit your legendary limit already (two legendaries for tiers one, two, and three; three legendaries for tiers four and five).
  2. There's currently no limit on how many points a person can get, but that could change if it becomes obvious that one person is getting all the points and no one else is getting any.
  3. This Jirachi is very sociable and likes being around people - if no one is around, then the Jirachi won't appear :( Holding conversations in the thread is a good way to entice the Jirachi to appear more often!
  4. Have fun!

Participants:
    ChaosMyotismon - II
    Dizzy_Kat - I
    insidiousEnigma - IIII III
    Gwennythe - I

If you've never played Bingo before, setting up and playing the game is pretty simple! All of the relevant information is posted here ahead of time so that everyone who wants to play can prepare beforehand and will be ready when the game begins.

Setting up:
  1. Copy and paste the entire game card (below) into a new post box on Gaia, or into a separate text file.
  2. Click here to get a string of 24 random, non-repeating numbers. Refresh if you want a different set! If you want to think of your own numbers, remember that you can't have any repeats and you can only pick numbers between 1 and 40.
  3. Take your 24 numbers and replace all of the ##'s in your gamecard with the numbers you were given or thought of, and put them anywhere you want! (Tip: To keep the gamecard in the proper alignment, if you have numbers 1-9, list them as 01, 04, 09, etc, to keep them at two digits like all the others). The TR in the middle column is a free space.
  4. Replace the ____ with your username, then post your finished gamecard in the thread before sign-ups end. The purpose of this is twofold: To ensure your card is free of errors or repeated numbers, and because I will be saving all of the cards before we start to ensure there is no cheating in the middle of the game.

How to play:
  1. I will call one number every 5(ish) minutes, and if you have that number, highlight it in
red to make it easy to see when you have a matching number. If you don't have that specific number, feel free to post saying so or simply refrain from posting that round. Even if you do have a matching number, you don't have to post every single time a number is called if you don't want to; just be sure to post every 10-15 minutes so I know you're still there and participating.
  • When someone gets a Bingo, the game will pause while I compare the current card with the saved card from the set-up period, and if no numbers were switched, I will then compare the colored numbers against every number I've called thus far. If those also match, then that person will be a winner! If the two cards don't match from set-up, then the player will be assumed to have been cheating and will be disqualified from the remainder of the game. If the numbers don't match between what I've called and what they have colored, then it will be considered a mistake and they will need to uncolor any applicable numbers before play is resumed and a genuine Bingo is posted.
  • There will be no ties. Even if two people post Bingo on the same number, whoever posts their Bingo first will be checked first.
  • In this game of Bingo, despite only playing one round, there will be three winners! The first person to get a genuine Bingo will be the first winner, and the game will continue until two more people get Bingo, and then all three can pick a Pokémon from the prize pool (with the first winner choosing first, etc).

    Onto the gamecard!

There is only one way you can get a Bingo in this game! Rather than boring old diagonal or straight lines or four corners, your goal is to make a heart! This is the season of love and giving, after all, and what better symbol for that than a heart?

TRHQ's White Donphan Gift Exchange game is a lot like your standard fare white elephant gift exchange; folks who were around this time last year may remember how it goes. This year things are just a little bit different, and all the information is here for you to acquaint yourself with before the game starts!

    How to play:

    1. Someone opens a present.
    2. The next person either steals what the previous person got or chooses a new present to open.
    3. It keeps going until everyone's had a turn, then the first person gets to swap prizes with someone else if they want to - since they don't get the opportunity to steal anything.

The rules and restrictions are as follows:

    1. A turn ends when a new present is opened. (Relevant if we get into a long chain of steals.)
    2. A present can only be stolen once per turn. That means you can't take something back right away if it's stolen from you.
    3. You are encouraged to steal others' gifts! That's the spirit of the game, after all; no hard feelings.

In the past, signups have necessitated that participants post a picture of a present or gift bag. This year, however, the gifts have been generously supplied by the Happy Home event's volunteers! Instead, signups will run like any other signups: The first 8 people to post when the signup period begins will be able to play.

The game's duration will depend on how quickly participants post and how often participants steal. If you choose to play, please make sure you'll be available for at least an hour. If it's your turn to post and you take longer than ten minutes, you will be skipped and shuffled to the bottom of the list in order to keep the game moving, so remember to pay attention!

    Thursday January 2nd, 8PM EST

    Winner: Dizzy_Kat

    How to play:
When the Scavenger Hunt starts, staff will begin posting hints one at a time up to 20 hints total. Your job is to figure out what the hints are referring to and find and post a picture in the thread. The first person to post a correct item gets a point, and the individual who acquires the most points before the hints run out is the winner of the game!

    Rules/Important notes:
    1. There are no sign-ups. Anyone can join at any time once the game has begun.
    2. There may not always be a single, correct response to the hint! As long as it fits the description, it counts for a right answer. For example, if the hint is "a thing covered in red feathers," both a picture of a cardinal and a picture of a red feather boa would qualify. However, you have to match the hint as closely as possible; a hat with a few red feathers for decoration wouldn't count as "covered."
    3. You must post the picture itself. No links to the picture, and make sure that it actually shows up when you post it.
    4. Be careful not to stretch the page! If the image you select is more than about 800 pixels in any direction, that's unnecessarily big. You won't be disqualified unless you do it several times, but please be mindful of the fact that everyone else has to scroll through the thread too.

    Point totals:
      Dizzy_Kat: 11
      Tasha Cho: 8
      Doc Goth: 1

Friday January 10th; Signups and prep at 9PM EST, game starts at 9:30PM EST

    Winners:
    1. SSBrosB (unique Whimsicott (blue))
    2. Shaddaling (unique Porygon-Z)
    3. BlackPidgeot (unique Sneasel)
    4. Aijaa (unique Bunneary)
    5. Gwennythe (unique Pikachu)

    How to play:
Pictionary is a game where a player is given a word or phrase and must illustrate it without using any words for the other players to guess - like the Draw Something app, if you're familiar with it. Participants will be given a word or phrase via PM when sign ups have ended and will have five minutes maximum to finish and post their illustration once their turn begins. The non-drawing participants will then guess what you've illustrated. The first person to guess correctly is awarded with a point, and the top three players who accumulate the most points in the duration of the game will win a Pokémon from the prize pool!

    Rules/Important notes:
    1. There will be an undetermined number of rounds, varying depending on how many people sign up. There will be no fewer than 10 and no more than 20 unique phrases for illustration. If four people sign up, there will be three rounds - every participant will draw three times for a total of 12 turns. If 8 people sign up, everyone will draw twice for 16 turns. If full participation (10 people) is achieved, everyone will draw once.
    2. You don't have to be an artist of any caliber to play, but you DO need a way to draw and post your drawings in the thread. Whether you accomplish this through a tablet with Photoshop, a mouse with MS Paint, or a pencil and paper with a camera is entirely up to you.
    3. No words! Your drawings must be entirely visual without any labels or speech bubbles.
    4. The image must be posted in the thread (not linked), must be a decent enough size for players to tell what's been drawn, and must be clear (no dark and/or blurry photos).
    5. If ten minutes pass and no one can guess anything close to your phrase, you will be awarded with a point. However, this is not an invitation to make your drawing intentionally vague, misleading, or convoluted. (E.G.: "The moon is round, and pies are round, and pi is 3.14159, so this drawing of a mathematician totally represents the moon!")

    Point totals:
      SSBrosB - 3
      Shaddaling - 3
      BlackPidgeot - 2
      Aijaa - 2
      Gwennythe - 1

Tuesday January 7th; Sign-ups at 4PM EST, game starts at 4:30PM EST

    Winners:
    1. insidiousEnigma (unique Growlithe)
    2. Kishin Rinku (unique Misdreavus)
    3. Kyandiice DeLuna (unique Eevee)
    4. Aijaa (unique Deerling)

    How to play:
This game is easy to play! If you'd like to join, simply post saying so once sign-ups open at 4PM EST. The game will begin half an hour later, after which no new people will be accepted! Gameplay is very simple. Each round will last about ten minutes, and you will have one of two options to choose from per round. Pick the correct one and you can continue your adventure! Pick the wrong one, however, and it's game over for you! The game will last probably a little over an hour. There is no maximum number of participants, and the number of winners will be entirely dependent on the number of players.

    Rules/Important notes:
    1. Due to the nature of the game, no one new can join who didn't sign up beforehand. It's an adventure! You can't join an adventure that's already in progress!
    2. Proxies are allowed! You can play for yourself as well as play for one other person.
    3. Each round will last ten minutes. If you don't post your choice before the next round starts, you lose!
    4. No editing your post once you make your choice - if you edit your choice then you'll be disqualified and won't win anything no matter how far you went!
    5. The number and order of the winners will be decided once the game ends, and will be dependent on who lasted the longest. For example, the player who got the furthest will win first pick, followed by the player who lasted second longest, etc.
    6. On the subject of winners, there will be no ties. In the event of two or more people ending at a specific point with a prize, whoever posted first would get first pick, whoever posted second would get second pick, and so on.
    7. Have fun!

Chimecho, peach Togekiss, brown Togekiss, Lampent, Lopunny, Tepig, Whimsicott, Igglybuff, Growlithe

    Saturday January 11th, 9PM EST

    Winners:
    Chimecho: Kyandiice DeLuna
    Peach Togekiss: No one :C
    Brown Togekiss: Cute Haninozuka
    Lampent: Oziandra
    Lopunny: Natsuko-neko
    Tepig: Revel1984
    Whimsicott: Wild Morinozuka
    Igglybuff: ChaosMyotismon
    Growlithe: Blood_Goddess

    How to play:
This flaffle will be run sort of like a typical flaffle (check this post for more information about flaffles and flaffle rules), but with a couple twists! Everyone can participate, but it will be geared more towards people who haven't won anything yet in this event as well as new people! Once the flaffle starts at 9PM EST, it will run for one hour, to give people plenty of time to enter. Once it closes, I will compile lists of who tried for which Pokémon and roll for winners!

    Rules/Important notes:
    1. Everyone starts with one ticket that they can use to try for a single Pokémon.
    2. If you haven't won any Pokémon from the event yet, you get an extra ticket!
    3. If you have three or fewer Pokémon from the shop (including any you might have won from this event), you get an extra ticket!
    4. You can only try for one Pokémon in the flaffle, unless you have one or two extra tickets. Any extra tickets can be put towards one Pokémon (so you could have two or three tickets for one Pokémon), or you could put them in for different Pokémon (for example, one ticket for Lopunny and one ticket for Tepig).
    5. Even if you have more than one ticket, and you try for two or even three different Pokémon, you can still only win one of them - the first one you're rolled as the winner of is the one you get, so make sure what you're trying for is what you really want!
    6. You can try for yourself as well as proxy for one other person, but if you proxy for someone, for simplicity's sake they only get one ticket regardless of how many Pokémon they have or how many they've won in the event.
    7. You may freely edit your flaffle forms until the end of the flaffle, at which point no more edits will be accepted because I will be making my list so I can roll for winners.
    8. In case this helps anyone, at the end of the flaffle, the rolling order will be as follows: Chimecho, peach Togekiss, brown Togekiss, Lampent, Lopunny, Tepig, Whimsicott, Igglybuff, Growlithe.

    Forms:
If you have four or more Pokémon in the shop AND you have already won a Pokémon from this event, use this form. Also use this form for the person you're proxying for, if any.

If you have three or fewer Pokémon in the shop, AND/OR you haven't won any Pokémon from this event yet, use this form.

Ticket #2: (Which Pokémon are you trying for? Can be the same as ticket #1 or different)
Ticket #3: (if applicable; Which Pokémon are you trying for? Can be the same as ticket #1/2 or different)

    Sunday January 12th, 5PM EST

    Winner: Kadota-banchou

    How to play:
Alright, time for a game! This is pretty simple - to play, simply make a new post and roll 3d20 (three twenty-sided dice). The individual dice that are rolled don't matter, it's the total that counts. The first person to match my total with theirs wins! This game could take a matter of minutes if someone's really lucky, or it could take upwards of several hours. If it starts to get close to the end of the event, I may make a second roll so you can win with one of two totals instead of just one.

    Rules/Important notes:
    1. It doesn't matter how many pokemon you have in the shop, or how many you've won during the course of this event; anyone can try for this Togekiss!
    2. You may roll multiple times! To keep things fair, once you roll, you must wait for someone else to roll after you before you can roll again. If no one else rolls, though, you must wait five minutes instead so you're not left waiting forever for someone else to roll.
    3. Feel free to converse while playing the game! That's the best way to make a game more enjoyable, especially one that could take quite a while before someone wins.
    4. Have fun!

What total you need to win:
