Just what the topic says! If we created a forum intended specifically for slow, hosting-style RP (unlike the Mind Theater, which is intended for out-of-club activities), would you use it?
Please let us know, and if you would use it, please offer any name suggestions for it. Thank you!

... I'm an idiot. What's wrong with simply calling it "Music Room Three"? Anything?

I would think that'd fit well. Or 'Club is in Session', perhaps?

In most forum-based RPs I take anywhere between twenty and thirty minutes to reply, because I'm expected to produce two - three solid paragraphs per post. I usually "dress up" my post too, using colours, icons, and a character-image, and providing details like OOC, Location, Thoughts, etc. in smaller font at the bottom. In the main forum I feel rushed, and because of it my literacy suffers, and I don't have as much fun.
TLDR;; Yes. I would use the hell out of it.

TLDR;; Yes. I would use the hell out of it. I understand about the literacy and such, but regarding the posting format with pictures and things...you don't find that detracts from the actual text? For one or two posts I like visuals, but to me it just seems that having the same stuff with excessive imagry and fancy text in each and every reply seems cluttered.

A good posting format is simple. Streamlined. Nothing too fancy, or distracting; just enough to make each character's post unique to his/her personality. At a glance, it can tell you the character's past, the character's secrets/ hidden nature (if they have any), and in some rare cases- I've only seen it successfully executed once- it can even tell you the character's future. Never directly, of course. Always in allusion. Besides: given the choice between two shirts, identical in every way except for a color, a pattern, or an image, would you NOT choose the one you find aesthetically pleasing? The quality of my writing doesn't change based on the color it's written in or the images around it, so in short, no, I don't think it detracts from the text. Ultimately it's a matter of preference, and I'm not going to ask anyone to follow my example, so while I appreciate your opinion it is- and shall remain- different from mine.
Edit:// I'll try not to make a posting format you'd call "cluttered" even upon seeing it multiple times, but if it bothers you, let me know. I can refrain.

TLDR;; Yes. I would use the hell out of it. Duly noted. I have to agree with Kitomyx -- while I like an occasional pretty post, I find that if they're always decorated, they're too cluttered for me to enjoy. This was part of why I focused on making the main thread more inclined towards a fast-paced, action-oriented style of RP. There is no expectation in our game that you do extensive long posting, just so you know. We're casual around here. You're welcome to if you want, and now that I know you enjoy it, I'll certainly take that into consideration when RPing with you. And a slower format will certainly help for that. *nods*

Don't stress about it. ^_^ If you want to do a format, do a format. It's not necessary, but it's nice if well done, and fairly simple for others to download and to clean out when quoting. We have several active users who do most of their posting and reading from their cell phones or iPods. I don't do a format frankly because I spend so much time on my iPad that it's a real hassle for me. My iPad does not cope with copying and pasting from multiple tabs well. And also -- I've got my avatar and my .sig file. Perhaps I'm a touch arrogant (ah, yes, Ootori -wry smile-) but I expect people know it's me.

I like this idea. As someone who takes a long time to post and has a lot of real life stuff going on, I think this would be good for me since it would give me time to deal with real life stuff at the same time.

I get overwhelmed easily in the main thread when there's more than three or four people actively posting, so having a place where I can guarantee individual focus on a guest is ideal.

I'm all for this! I agree with Shiny on the matter of it being slightly overwhelming when there's so many people in the main forum already. Kyandii might love how busy it gets, but as her writer who has a habit of writing longer posts(more often then not), I can't help but feel bad that sometimes it takes me so long to respond to others. I'm also the type that likes to wait until everyone I'm interacting with has responded and respond to all of them at once.
Would also be a nice change in pace as well. In the main thread it's nice for interacting with -everyone-, both hosts and guests. But this also makes it hard to monopolize a specific hosts attention as well. wink
I like the "Music Room Three" name idea as well.

UNLESS IT'S A DAAAATE. emotion_awesome -quietly amused- I'm sorry, but it's club policy that the hosts and hostesses do not date the guests. As Tamaki would probably put it, it would prevent us from giving our guests each their proper attention. Due to overwhelmingly popular demand, the Music Room is now open for business. Enjoy, everyone.
