Silver snowflakes hung from the ceiling, white candles in clear glass candle holders dotted the place, jars of beautiful white flowers decorating every flat surface, and a white tree sat in the middle of the room. Decked out in white and silver decorations, Jeremy had put in a lot of effort to make the Lab's lobby looking jaw droppingly stunning!
Upon entering the lobby, a delicious smell of food would greet you. Right across from the door along the opposite wall are tables filled with a Christmas feast fit for a king!
The traditional stuffed roasted turkey was on the dinner table, and a huge turkey it was! Perfectly roasted with the right amount of spices. As with the roasted pork ribs and the self serve roasted beef that you can cut yourself, any thickness you like. There are also other party food, like garlic sticks, warm bread, mashed potatoes, yummy pumpkin soup, roasted potatoes and a delightful looking Christmas salad!
Do feel free to eat to your heart's content while socializing with other attendees. As the food are frequently renewed by a few waiters and waitresses working the event. The indoors cafeteria is open for party-goers as well, just right through the hallway and the first turn to the right. There are plenty of tables and chairs in there, as well as a soccer table and a stereo along the far back of the wall. Just don't try to get in the way of the chef and waiters in the kitchen preparing more food.
(( Please click here to see a Sims version of the Lab layout to get a basic idea of the place. Only the lobby and cafeteria room are open for guests. The offices and the rest of the rooms are presumably locked. The laboratory doors are locked as well, only a Lab staff with a keycard can enter. ))

Right on the opposite wall from the main course tables, are three more interesting tables.
The first is a dessert table dedicated for desserts only. Matching the color theme of the decors, the desserts are mostly in white and pale yellow. White chocolate dipped pretzels, white chocolate cake, vanilla cupcakes, vanilla milkshakes, coconut balls, eggnog, and even the little snowflake shaped ornaments on the tree are edible cookies! Surely you wouldn't be able to resist?
The second table, right next to the desserts table, is a hot chocolate bar! Freshly made hot cocoa topped with a luscious amount of whipped cream or ice cream were set upon this table. Feel free to add other little tidbits into your hot cocoa, such as marshmallows, cinnamon powder or chocolate sticks. The hot chocolate upon this table are guaranteed to be fresh and warm, with them being renewed frequently by the waiters.
Last but not least, the table next to the hot chocolate bar near the room's corner is an alcohol bar! Many bottles of liquor and liquer sat atop this mobile bar, most of them commonly seen in real bars and pubs. However, there wasn't a bartender behind the bar serving them? A set of bartending equipment was placed on the table, it seems like you'll be mixing your own drinks at this bar! Feel free to go wild!

Despite the party being held in the Lab itself, it still felt a little... lacking for a Lab event. Two key person was missing, who usually work crucial parts of these events. Either as bartenders, servers, or even running mini games. It just felt a little different when there are waiters and waitresses that you don't recognize running the place. It lacks that... warm big family feeling.
It wasn't their fault for not being there though, these two people that usually are. Kyou is still in a coma, and his weak body is still on life support. They had set up all the equipment needed in Kyou's room, which can be accessed via his office, through the laboratory. However one would need a staff's keycard to access the laboratory itself. Lazarus is in there with Kyou, he had barely left Kyou's side. He can often be seen massaging the man's limbs, so that the muscle atrophy would stop, and he could slowly regain back his lost muscles. Some times the Sigel could be seen wiping Kyou's body, a comatose man needs baths too. Other times Lazarus just sits there quietly by Kyou's side, looking thoughtful.
You can't blame him for not being in the mood for festivities. Because with Kyou's situation still like this, Lazarus just can't muster a single drop of festive feeling at all.

{{alcohol bar}}
Justin surreptitiously tugged at his tie. Why had he bothered to even come at all? He...didn't do parties, typically, but this could be counted as a work function, he supposed. Still, he barely knew anyone here. And he was early, ugh. The secret santa gift felt awkward hanging off his wrist... It was for a raevan and he hoped he would somehow recognize her. Gulping, he looked around. How very festive. He felt a smile creeping onto his scruffy cheeks (Justin had rather impulsively decided to participate in no-shave November). The decorations were stunning, really. The lab felt like a crystalline wonderland of snow plus food.
Food sounded good, but Justin needed something to pick himself up. He meandered casually over to the bar. "Hmmm, quality." he muttered appreciatively as he hefted a bottle of vodka. It seemed like it was a bartend-for-yourself setup. Honestly, it might be a little dangerous; no limit on how string a drink to make. Deftly, he mixed a simple screwdriver and leaned back against the bar. Justin knew he should go out and mingle....
But still, he couldn't help but wonder... what was the password to the wifi?

(( Arriving ))
It was already dark outside and the wind was breezing on. A light snow started falling within the hour with no sign of letting up. None of it stuck, the flurries melting on contact with the pavement. Cruz was bundled up tight in multiple layers, scarves, thick gloves, and fuzzy earmuffs. The frei's arms were wrapped around himself and he tried to huddle his face lower into the coat. Shivering, he was drawn close to Anita who had one of her arms wrapped around him and the other holding two small gifts to her chest. She was wrapped up in a thick coat too, as well as a pair of dark jeans that hung a bit tight. Black boots peeked out from underneath, subtly heeled.
When she got the door open and a wave of warmth hit them from all sides, they both let out an audible shudder. Anita lead Cruz over to the coat wrack and removed hers, as well as the scarf and gloves while he held onto the packages. Beneath the coat was a long sleeve short dress, the bottom of which came to rest at her thighs, and was a nice red and white match for the decorations in the building. Her thick hair was pulled into a single braid that reached her lower back but she kept it hung over her shoulder for now. Taking the bags back, Cruz was able to dress down some but he only removed one layer for now, the coat. That left him with a thick green sweater, bright red fingerless gloves, a red wool scarf, and his hair tied low with a red ribbon.
"We're kinda early, huh?" she laughed quietly, glancing around. There was someone she didn't quite recognize at one of the bars but, from the back, they looked familiar. "Keep an eye out for LuLu, okay bud?"
Cruz nodded. "We don't know who mine is at all?" the croc wrung his wrists, rubbed his hands together, trying to generate warmth from friction where his body couldn't naturally.
"No, I've never heard the name before. I don't even know if we're pronouncing it right," Anita laughed, "I'm sure someone knows, though! We'll figure it out."

(( Hot Chocolate Bar ))
Ian had been at the lab for a good hour before everyone began to arrive, putting the various arrangements in their places and generally obsessing over every little detail in them. It was his job, after all, the make sure that they looked perfect! He'd concentrated on white poinsettias and various other white flowers, particularly carnations because they added a lot of volume. There was the occasional shoot of long grass or cluster of large green leaves, and the delicate baby's breath always made him smile a little in the middle of his frenzied nit-picking. So, he resolved to stand and fuss awkwardly with the fitted green cardigan he wore over a simple white dress shirt and a red-and-white-striped tie, along with his pressed charcoal slacks. Though he'd tried for a good ten minutes to get his hair to behave, the caramel strands were persistent; they were as unruly and bedhead-y as ever, and he ran a hand through them in a feeble attempt to calm them down. Idly, nervously, he scratched at one of his bare forearms, the sleeves of both his cardigan and his shirt rolled up to let him more freely tend to the flowers.
After the first few guests began to arrive, Ian decided that he should probably try to appear friendly and open, since he was technically a guest as well. Jeremy had been so kind as to invite him in return for doing the flower arrangements for the party, and Ian didn't want to waste this opportunity. He'd been eyeing the lab for quite some time, particularly their fantastic experiments, the Raevans. He was curious about them, so curious in fact that the sight of one, decked out in Christmas garb, created a little thrill in his chest. Look at him! The little wings on his back, the long ribbon that spiraled nearly to the floor, the glowing rune; how...awesome! Ian couldn't help the big grin that had spread across his face. Only when he realized that he'd been staring for a good thirty seconds did he look away.
Unfortunately, looking away didn't really help. Another Raevan had arrived, this one sporting a rather adorable set of rabbit ears. Ian stared at her as well, panicking as she moved with her caretaker over to the dessert bar, very close to where he was standing. Feeling incredibly awkward and nervous, he turned and busied himself with making himself a rather complicated cup of cocoa. Maybe if he stalled long enough he could think of something good to say, instead of making an a** of himself. Maybe he could ask about this person he'd been assigned for the Secret Santa? He didn't really know why he'd decided to sign up for that... He didn't know anyone besides Jeremy!

(( Arriving --> Alcohol Bar "Thanatos" ))
This was good. This was change. Getting out and mingling. The whole ride over was quiet and uncomfortable. Thanatos didn't bother with small talk as he drove his truck through the light splattering of snow. Thankful that it wasn't sticking he hurried to find a spot to park his truck and climbed out gathering two gifts from the back seat. Domevlo, who was dressed in a black tee shirt with a tuxedo design, a Santa hat and scarf, no gloves, snatched one of the gifts from Xan as the guardian rounded the truck. They both entered in silence. Domevlo looked around while Thanatos slipped out of his trench coat and placed it on the coat rack. "Do you want you're scarf?" He asked, Domo arched a brow then quickly unwrapped his scarf and tossed it to Xan before hurrying off to his own devices. With a sigh, Xan just placed the scarf on a hanger around his coat. It was then he noticed the other arrivals. With a tip of his black stetson he moved further into the festivities to take a look around. Noting the bar, he figured it was the best place to set up shop. Heading over he smiled and greeted the individual already present, "Hello."
(( Christmas Tree "Domevlo" ))
After removing himself from Xan's side, Domo hurried to the Christmas tree but fell short at the sight of another. With a slight frown and tilt to his head he moved forward inspecting the other. It didn't take long for him to get over it and went about his original idea: Decorate the tree!
He loved the color white, and was thankful that this year he found a tree that complimented him so well. Looking at the boxes with ornaments and baubles within he pulled one out, taking in its smooth silver and gold coloring. "The tree is naked. It needs to be clothed." Placing the bauble on the tree, he moved back to admire it. Deciding he liked the idea, he picked up another one and began placing it on the tree as well.
The stool with instructions had not been forgotten, but he would have to ask about that. Usually wishes were not meant to be told. Maybe this was a different formality he had yet to learn about.
