((This takes place directly after this ^^))

Wary of the encounter he just had with Luxor that almost took him down for good, Amethyst ran as far as his legs could carry him, for awhile not quite caring which way he went so long as the Page didn't suddenly decide to come after him to finish the job. His entire torso, both front and back, was hurting and he was finding it increasingly difficult to breathe which he figured could be attributed either to that as well or his current psychological state after his close brush with death.

He turned into a side alley, fully intent on coming to a complete stop and then powering down after ensuring that the coast was clear when he suddenly tripped over himself, his arms immediately stretching out instinctively in an attempt to break the fall. Only that he had to have landed wrong somewhat for he was curling up on his side the next moment, his lips pressed tightly in a thin line as he tried to keep himself from crying out with the fresh spike of pain that now came from his left shoulder. Squeezing his eyes tightly shut, he just laid there, his initial plan to power down in order to escape detection momentarily forgotten while he waited for the episode to pass.

General Mica had never forgotten her promise to the one that promoted her, and she left her apartment for two reasons this night. Besides to do her usual patrol of keeping the streets clear from the vermin of the White Moon, she was scanning the city for those that might have needed her assistance in another fashion, one that she had abandoned once upon a time. It hadn't been too long since she felt that dying passion rekindled within her, and when she traded her rainbow crystal for a more practical medkit, she was determined to put it to good use. For a small price, anyways.

It seemed that tonight would be her night, however, as the moment she got a few blocks from her home, she could sense the presence of a nearby Negaverse officer, one of considerable lower rank than herself but an ally, nevertheless. It didn't take her long to track him down, and she gave the young looking blonde officer a pitiful look as she peered down at him from where he fell over. "Oh, looks like you had quite an encounter... I'm assuming your enemy is in a far worse condition, though?"

Finally, a use for this medkit! Mica didn't allow any of that to be seen, as she approached the lieutenant briskly, kneeling before him and giving him a look over before shaking her head. As mocking as her earlier statement was, this one definitely needed her help, and her tone softened ever so slightly as she popped open her medkit to get started. "Don't worry. You're safe, for now."

The surge of Chaos energy that was headed his way was something that Amethyst could take some comfort in at least. A Captain... no General from the likes of it. At least things seemed to be looking up some for him since the disastrous encounter he had earlier in the evening with Luxor. Shaking his head at Mica's question as to the fate of his foe, he found himself unable to lie to her, his gaze quickly averted as he began to apologize for his own inadequacy. "Regretfully... no. My deepest apologies General..."

He had a pretty good idea as to how dismal his combative abilities were compared to the average Negaverse officer. It was something that he ought to have put some effort into by taking up Leucite's offer to get him into shape but that had been placed further down on his priority list of things to get to and it seemed that he was now paying the price for that when reality decided to take a raincheck today.

Rolling onto his back, he winced at the way his entire body protested from the movement itself, his arm that was on the same side as the affected shoulder discouraged from any form of movement by a sharp pain that ran down his entire arm whenever he tried to move it. "I suppose that it is safe to assume then that the Page has decided to not come after me. It seems however that I've dislocated my shoulder as a result of my own carelessness and haste in getting away." He finally admitted with great reluctance.

She scoffed at his immediately notion to apologize, but it wasn't completely mocking. As much as she wanted to absorb the respect she received as a general, her critical eye could not ignore the more important matter at hand, and she rummaged through the medkit, fascinated by just how much was able to fit into such a small device. "Do not fret, then... you'll have another chance to correct that mistake later."

She observed his injuries and began to prioritize, her immediate attention on the dislocated shoulder that he pointed out, and she didn't need to bring a hand over it to know just how bad it was. If anything, she was more impressed that he was able to tell her of his injury, and while she wasn't normally one for small talk, she made the exception as she withdrew small bottles of disinfectants, bandages, and wipes. "You did a wonderful job on that, by the way. You guess you've dislocated it by the pain or do have have knowledge in the medical field?"

She'd have to set it, and if he did have some medical experience, she suspected he knew it was inevitable. That would have to wait until they were inside her apartment, or at least, not in the middle of the street. He seemed the type to scream...

"One can only hope for someone of my calibre General. Though I probably have to admit that I too am partly to blame for my own inability in handling a mere Page." Tried as he wanted to put the entire incident behind him, Amethyst couldn't help but dwell on his own failure and the heaviness that gave rise to in his heart, ashamed of his weakness and possibility of being one of the weakest links among the Negaverse ranks.

He did however perk up a little at Mica's question as to how he came to know of the exact nature of his injury, a small smile on his face as he began to share with her a little bit about himself and what his work revolved around. "More along the lines of my vocation being in the medical field to be exact. I'm an Orthopaedic resident at the hospital." He paused for a bit, looking over the assortment of medical supplies that she was removing from the medkit that she had with her. She probably knew quite a fair bit herself if he were to take into account the tone of her speech and how she had come prepared with whatever she had in that medkit of hers.

"A fall forward on an outstretched arm leading to an acute inability to move it from the severe pain coupled together with the position of the arm in an abducted and externally rotated position all are consistent with an anterior dislocation of the shoulder joint."

Taking a deep breath, he slowly exhaled and allowed himself to power down, his gaze meeting hers as he gave her a weak smile and tilted his head towards the sweater that he wore. "If I may suggest, you might want to cut through the sleeve if you have with you a pair of scissors. Some analgesia to help relax the muscles will help somewhat with the reduction process too." There wasn't any need to second guess on their part as to what needed to be done for the dislocation. As much as he wasn't looking forward to the process, he would give her no trouble and his full cooperation from start to end at the very least.

Perhaps it was her upbringing or even sheer dumb luck that spared Mica from such injuries during combat, but she certainly didn't fault other officers for their lack of physical prowess, at least not what she considered to be too harshly. After all, there were still some brutality to the White Moon Court's methods and one should always be made weary of such possibilities when they powered up. Poor Amethyst merely ran into the wrong fellow this night.

While his combative skills may have left a lot to be desired, Mica was certainly interested in his knowledge and occupation, and her turquoise eyes gleamed, even as she looked for a pair of scissors. Most medical kits came with a pair and this one was no different, as though it suddenly appeared upon command. Never one to look too deep into things or look a gift horse in the mouth, Mica grabbed them and immediately got to work, tearing through the sleeves effortlessly and efficiently.

"I'll cut you something to gag you with, if you feel yourself unable to hold it in," Mica said after a few moments of silence, cutting out said piece and placing it in his good hand, allowing him to be the judge of that. She then looked through the medkit and pulled out two packets of medication, waving them in front of his face as if to ask which one. "Nothing useful like morphine, but I do have Aspirin and Acetaminophen… pick your poison."

It was a test, just to see how knowledgeable this one was. Not that it'd prevent her from helping him, but she was curious to see just how much he knew. This one could be rather useful later on...

Boaz watched her work, a part of him mildly amused at the fact that he was a patient now and as such, had an opportunity of seeing things from that particular perspective. It was a skewed one given what he already knew about his injury and the steps required to set the joint back, yet he couldn't stop himself from worrying a little at how it would turn out and if they would run into any complications while handling this on their own here.

"It wouldn't be wise to draw unnecessary attention to ourselves here. Thank you kindly General." Smiling appreciatively at Mica, he nodded, balling up the fabric she had placed in his hand with his fist before lifting it to his cheek. He would like to believe that he could take the pain without, in Buddingtonite's words, screaming like a baby but this was admittedly a first for him and it was probably better to be prepared for the worst lest he caused more problems for Mica who had been kind enough to help him with his predicament.

He began to look thoughtful at the offering of the medication, his hand lifting instinctively to grasp the edge of each of the packaging to confirm for himself their contents while he walked her through his thought processes and subsequent decision. "I don't suppose that you've got anything stronger? But if that's all that you have at your disposal, I suppose I'll go with aspirin then for the additional anti-inflammatory properties that can help with the swelling and damage." The rambling helped some in taking his mind off the matter at hand and he was glad for it, taking the initiative in instructing her on what she would need to prepare as well in case she hadn't thought about it yet. "Gonna need a triangular bandage to fashion a splint with so as to immobilize the arm when we're done later on."

"You're quite welcome," Mica said, her smile small but polite, and she certainly approved of this lieutenant's behavior as opposed to others she had dealt with in the past. As he inspected the medications she offered him, she worked on making an impromptu sling, knowing that the moment she popped the arm back into its socket that it'd have to be applied immediately. She gave the medkit another glance and shook her head in response to his question. Apparently, whoever supplied her medkit in the Negaverse apparently wanted their officers to suffer.

The sling was complete, just as he made his decision, and she gave him an approving nod, taking his advise and reminding herself how to do a triangular bandage, giving him the chance he'd need to take the medication before she popped it back into place. "Alright, then… I'm sorry I don't have water for you, but I'm certain it'll go down just fine."

Finally, all of the preparations on her end were complete, and she looked to Amethyst, waiting for him to take the pills and stuff the cloth into his mouth before she got started. She wasn't willing to admit that this kind of procedure was one that she had studied and practiced a few times, though it was such a long time ago. No need to worry the poor fellow with at. "Ready?"

It seemed that Amethyst lucked out, his heart already sinking in his chest when he saw Mica shake her head in response to his query with regards to the availability of something stronger than the painkillers that she had offered him. Figured that the medkit only had things that could be bought over the counter at the pharmacy without a prescription. Well no matter, he would try to fix that at a later time so that no other officer would be deprived of access to the amount of pain relief that was appropriate to the severity of their injury.

"Ain't your fault in the first place really. I should apologize for troubling you with my injury in the first place General."

He gave her a small smile, starting to feel a little nervous at what was to come next as he swallowed the pill he was handed dry then laid back down on the ground with the balled up cloth he was given earlier brought to his lips just in case he needed it later on. Taking a deep breath to psyche himself for the ordeal ahead, he blinked slowly, letting his gaze meet Mica's own before he very reluctantly gave a nod for her to go ahead with what needed to be done next.

It was always interesting to see just how many people would actually own up to their mistakes and injuries, as it always a surprise. Others would be quick to throw the blame on others, while others were too quick to point the finger at themselves, which all in all, wasn't that beneficial in the healing process. At least not in the physical aspect of it. Amethyst had made a mistake and by owning up to his mistake, he would be sure not to make it again. Or perhaps she was putting too much hope into that?

"There is no need. It's what I promised I do for the Negaverse in turn for my promotion."

And in truth, it felt good to be useful again. It wasn't that she enjoyed seeing others in pain- far from it, unless they were harmed by herself that is. Fixing officers up just seemed right. It gave her purpose where otherwise she had none, but never would she openly admit this, and if so, not so readily to an officer she just met. Perhaps once she got him patched up and in a sling, she'd take him to her apartment and settle some business. After all, it wasn't everyday she ran into someone who was instructing her in how to properly bandage a soon-to-be relocated shoulder. This one could be extremely useful.

"I'll make this as quick and painless as possible," Mica said, moving into position and gently feeling around the joint and muscle. She made a quick list in her head of what the proper procedure was, and without further warning and a lot POP, she pulled the joint back into place. Without waiting to see how he was doing, she worked on the bandaging, releasing a breath she had not realized she was holding until she sounded breathless. "There. You did good."

Boaz's mind was screaming at him to move when Mica's hands started to gently probe the still very tense and tender maligned joint. Flinch, jerk, roll away. Anything so long as it kept her away and unable to cause him further pain. The blond did neither of course, his gaze focused intently on the way she worked while he held his breath and bit down hard on the gag to muffle his pained cries.

And just when he thought that he might pass out from the noxious sensory overload, she managed to get the joint to slip back into its socket with a loud pop and the deed was done.

Laying back on the ground with a sigh of relief, he took a few deep breaths, still trembling lightly as he let the General use the remaining bandages to fix up a temporary sling that would help to support and immobilize his arm. The painkillers that he took earlier, as expected, did close to nothing in helping to dampen the pain that he had to suffer through but one thing was certain - never would he allow the next wounded Negaverse solider suffer likewise. There was no glory to be had in the experience - it was one of the key lessons he was taught back when he was still in medical school.

He snapped out of his reverie the moment he was addressed, his face still ashen and pale though the colour was gradually returning to it now that the worst was over, his eyes looking over the senior officer's work before he offered her a small smile for her efforts. "I did nothing really but thank you... General." He would probably need an X-ray to ensure that there weren't any associated fractures with the injury itself but he was otherwise good for now.

She didn't like how pale he had become, but given the circumstances it was completely understandable. With the makeshift sling completed and put in place, Mica was trying to recall what the next step was outside of taking him to the hospital to be looked at by a certified doctor, though admittedly her knowledge and recollection of her studies was still a bit fuzzy. The same could not be said for Amethyst, however, and whereas others might have been too prideful to request help, Mica held no shame as she addressed him. "What would you propose I do next? Could you afford a visit to the hospital? Could you even make the journey on your own?"

It was her way of saying 'would you like for me to take you there', though she was leaving an opening for him to refuse should he desire it. She was fine with it either way- even if he wanted to make the journey on his own, she'd likely trail behind him just to keep an eye on him and make sure he made it to his destination without more harm falling upon him. Now her mind was on something else, and this was a bit more difficult for her to bring up than asking for his advice earlier.

"Lieutenant, have you considered using your medical knowledge to help our cause?" Mica asked, packing up the supplies in her medkit and returning it to the latch on her waist. "As you can see, I have some EMT knowledge myself, but they're outdated, and I can only do so much, whereas you can do what I cannot. Have you given it any thought whatsoever?"

"A trip to the hospital will be in order. Gonna need an X-ray to ensure that there weren't any associated fractures with the injury itself." Boaz didn't so much as bat an eyelid at Mica's query as to what should be done next for his injury, his familiarity with the subject matter apparent from the way he readily supplied her with an answer and the rationale for it without even needing to pause to think over it.

He began to look troubled at her other questions though, falling silent for a moment to contemplate how bad his other injuries were before he shook his head with a soft sigh. "No. I don't think I can make it there on my own on foot with my current state." He wasn't even going to bother powering up lest he invited more trouble upon himself. "Could you help me with that please? My phone... it's in my pocket. Just a call to the paramedics with our current location will do really. I've already troubled you enough General. You don't have to come in with me if you don't want to."

He tossed out the option, for the moment forgetting entirely that he was addressing a General who was capable of teleporting. "Amethyst. But you can call me Boaz since I'm no longer in uniform at the moment." He volunteered his name, a contemplative look crossing his face at her next set of questions. "Truth be told, that option has never crossed my mind prior since our organization doesn't exactly have a branch that requires such a specific set of skills and knowledge. But I wouldn't be averse to the idea of utilizing them to serve our cause."

She suspected as much, but it was never a bad idea to get a second opinion, and she was growing to like this one, despite the injury he allowed to be inflicted upon himself. Perhaps not all officers were recruited for their fighting prowess? There had to be a reason for the General-Kings and Queens to recruit this one, and she was beginning to see why. She looked down a Boaz and didn't go for his phone, as there was simply no need. "I think that if I called the paramedics, they'd ask who set your arm, and it would be much easier for me to drop you off than for you to have to play cover up for me."

As a former EMT in training she shouldn't have been so against the idea of calling for paramedics, but as a Negaverse general that held the ability to teleport herself and another on a whim, it made no sense to let her fellow officer suffer any longer. As prompt as the EMTs were, teleporting was simply faster, and there was no sense in trying to deny it. "Think of it as sparing you the expenses of the ride. I heard they charge an arm and a leg these days."

She could charge him too. In fact, she really should have, but she was thinking of a better way for him to return the favor, something that money couldn't buy, or if it could, it wouldn't come cheap. She reached for his good hand, not immediately teleporting the two to the nearest hospital yet though she was giving him the option to accept. "Boaz, I think that it's something you should seriously consider. If our enemy is growing a back bone of sorts and are becoming more vicious in their attacks, then we need to tend to our wounded, and I think you'd be very useful in that field. Don't you think so?"

"A good Samaritan with a steady pair of hands and the ability to take instructions from myself in setting it back yet wishes to remain anonymous. That's what I'll say and they'll find no fault with my account." Boaz smiled wide and informed her, having already put some thought into what he would tell the paramedics should that particular question come to pass as soon as he put forth the proposal that Mica called the paramedics with his phone on his behalf.

Not at all adverse to any alternative she might have in mind with regards to getting him to the hospital, he relented with a nod, thankful for the powers that be that their paths had crossed and he need not suffer the cold with a shoulder dislocation and far from any source of help. "We'll go with whatever you judge is appropriate then. Appreciate the thought that you've put into this General."

Taking her proffered hand, he held on tight and pulled himself into an upright position, still remaining seated on the ground as he didn't quite trust his body enough yet to maintain his balance with the sudden change in position from lying down to standing. "Yes. What I know and am able to do in this regard can probably help our side much more than what I can accomplish with my fists alone. I would like to pursue this if you have any advice as to how I could go about it General." He nodded after awhile, inwardly heartened by the fact that there might be a better way that he could contribute to the Negaverse.
