Being part of Infiltration meant that Amethyst hardly had a reason to spend more time than necessary powered up unless it was for an energy collection run in order to meet his monthly quota. Sure there was the occasional mission which required the Lieutenant to don his uniform, but that was usually a low key event in itself since the last thing the Negaverse wanted was for them to accidentally compromise their civilian identities. The young Lieutenant was always careful whenever he headed out to drain energy, keeping the time he spent powered up to the bare minimum to avoid running into any Order Senshi or Knight who might be about and wouldn't be inclined to turn a blind eye to what he was doing.
Tonight was turning out to be lackluster in that aspect however, evident by the unusual paucity of civilians at the spots that he usually frequented and it was only until a good hour had passed until he finally found someone. A pair of lovebirds who were too busy making out on the park bench to even notice his presence until it was too late. Pocketing the sphere of energy he had managed to drain from the girl, he moved to the still motionless guy, glancing worriedly around him as he hoped to be done with the deed as soon as possible lest his luck really ran out.

Luxor must have been lucky tonight, to feel the aura of a Negaverse soldier nearby. He did not know, of course, that this particular source was one who did not spend much time powered up if he could help it, and did so to avoid encounters like the one he was about to have.
The Knight moved toward it on instinct, knowing that where there was Chaos, there would be pain and death. He was not going to let more people suffer similar fates to those at his Carnival.
Maybe he was lost to his plan for vengeance, but if he was meant to do one thing with his life, he was certain this was it. And he was okay with that.
"Gathering energy, I see," the Page of Pluto growled as he approached, seeing the two slumped over people and knowing that the Nega had already struck. Mostly, when they drained energy the sources would be alright after some rest, but that was no real consolation. Draining energy was just the first step: they did it by the will of Chaos, and that made them capable of doing anything else. It would be starseeds in no time, as Luxor saw it.
"Step away from them."

If there was something that Amethyst wished that he had been taught as an agent of the Negaverse, it would have to be the ability to conceal his aura at will so that he could avoid the inevitable encounter with the Pluto Page who had homed in on his current position the moment they were both able to sense each other on their respective inner radars. He was just about done with draining the guy when he saw Luxor approach, a wary look crossing his face as he pocketed the sphere of energy then backed away from the unconscious civilians.
"Aye. General-Queen's orders - fulfill the monthly quota or face the consequences." Keeping his gaze on Luxor, the Lieutenant decided that there was no harm in letting him in on that piece of information just to gauge his response and perhaps appeal to his compassionate side. If he still had any when it came to dealing with an agent of Chaos that is.
There was something reflected within the Page's gaze that gave him a really bad feeling. It wasn't a personal vendetta directed at him for he was certain that he had never ran into the other before. This was something else entirely. "I don't suppose that you could turn a blind eye to this and let me go? You'll find the both of them alive and very much unharmed I assure you..." He decided to try nonetheless.

"It is funny that your Queen did not warn you that there would be consequences, either way."
He did not know much about the negaverse hierarchy, and he did not seem to care to learn about it. He did not care how they worked, or what they did. He hated them all, and he was ready to do anything necessary to make them stop their 'quotas' and their efforts to hurt people.
If anyone else had to die, Luxor was going to make sure it was the Negaverse.
"I won't let you go off to hurt someone else. You might only be taking energy now, but if one of your superiors tells you to go and hurt someone, you would do it. If they told you to kill someone, then you wouldn't hesitate. I'm not going to let you go and get that order."
He wasn't the strongest guy in the world, and he had only just started in this war, comparatively, but he had found his path and purpose, and he was going to remain true to it.

"I suppose that she probably doesn't believe in stating the obvious." Or to put it more crudely, failure was not an option that was well tolerated within the Negaverse. Amethyst remarked dryly, already knowing where this was going when Luxor's next words confirmed it for him. He rolled his neck and shoulders, taking another step away from both civilians as he tried to remain calm and hide his nervousness at the fight that was about to come any moment now.
"It appears that you are very well acquainted with how we work." He couldn't refute Luxor's words. He saw no need to attempt justifying or sugar coating something that was spoken by the other with such contempt and conviction. Balling his hands up into two fists, he continued to keep his gaze on the Page, deciding that he would let him make the first move and then play it by ear from there.

Luxor watched the other without a trace of nerves. He should have been worried, considering he had a poor enough track record with the Negaverse to know that they could pose real threats to them. He was still relatively new and taking on someone who had more organization or access to training than he did could make the difference in a fight, even if they were as new as he was.
And if they were far more experienced than him, then they had that much more of an advantage. But he wasn't worried. He was the sort that built themselves up from the ground, and earned everything they had. He was determined and he was strong, and he knew that if he kept working hard he would be able to make a difference in this war. That difference would be taking out as many Negaverse soldiers as he could, by the most direct method he could think of. It would be bloody and violent, but if they were dead, they could never hurt anyone again.
Seemed logical enough, for someone who was not thinking about anything but revenge.
Luxor growled and felt his temper snap. He charged with a yell, suddenly in motion. At least his work at the carnival made him muscular and fast, and his powers as a Page helped that. He was a brawler, and he had a purpose. He swung for the Lieutenant as hard as he could, not holding back even in his first attack.

He really should have put more effort into following up on the training sessions that Leucite intended to pile onto his platter. Amethyst now found himself belatedly lamenting over the lost opportunities when the events of the past couple of weeks from the increased number of hours he had to spend at work to the carnival assault led by General Painite to his tending to first Buddingtonite's then Leucite's injuries flashed across his mind.
He knew that this was coming, that there would come a day when his luck would run out and he would have to fight one of the Senshis or Knights who swore their allegiance to the Moon Queen. He just wished that it wasn't this soon when he wasn't remotely ready. The Page was mostly naked save for a loincloth. He observed, pretty sure that someone had supplied him with the exact same description awhile back though he couldn't recall for the life of him right now who and what that had been all about.
Luxor didn't give him the luxury of time to think it over of course, the sound of his yelling about the only warning he had before the Page began charging directly at him. He reflexively lifted up his arms, feeling the blow connect with his forearm as he gave a grunt from the resultant pain that brought about while he pulled back his other arm to swing in retaliation at any opening that might present itself.

What Luxor lacked in armor, he made up for in attack. It was like he had sacrificed his armor stat for attack, and that was fine by him. after all, what he wanted was to destroy them all, one by one, and maybe he could actually get a start on that goal now. He didn't know yet how he was going to do it, and until he was stronger he was not going to be able to get anywhere.
The only option was to just keep trying, and hope he did not get killed in the process.
Generals and Captains were dangerous because they could have bad weapons. He had learned first hand what being stabbed and beaten was like, so he was going to stick to people that looked like he would be able to take down with his fists. They were all he had, after all.
Maybe when he was stronger, if he got there, he would be able to fight stronger guys.
"I'm not going to let you get away," he growled, even as the other punched him square on the jaw. Luxor lowered his body and braced himself, his head still turned from the hit even as he charged and slammed into the Negaverse soldier shoulder first, in an effort to haul him off his feet and slam him into the ground.

Amethyst felt his fist connect with his intended target and smiled to himself, intending to take first one step then another back from Luxor before he reassessed the situation and decided on an appropriate course of action to follow-up with. He didn't get to do that however, his inexperience beginning to show when the Page's slamming of his shoulder squarely into the middle of his ribcage knocked the air out of his lungs and sent him falling backwards from the momentum itself.
Panicking, his eyes went wide both out of fear and at the realization of how bad this might potentially end for him if he didn't do something to attempt to break his fall, his arms flailing helplessly as they attempted to latch onto the nearest object - the thick leather straps that ran across Luxor's own torso though one could only imagine how useful that might be as he braced himself for the impending impact.
Lithia_Brandon I fail so much in battle scenes/choreography. I'm so sorry... orz

Luxor let his body follow through with the motion of his tackle, slamming into Amethyst and knocking him to the ground. He landed as heavily as he could on top of the Negaverse soldier, just to do more damage if he could.
If he could get out of this fight with crippling a Negaverser even for a few days, it would be a small victory for him. He hated that they could just escape, get away, and go out to fight as soon as the sun set again. He hated that they were all stronger than him and he was struggling from the bottom, fighting his way up just to break the surface.
But he was not going to give up. He was never going to give up.
He wasn't expecting the Nega to latch on to him, and he looked at his hands for a beat. It wouldn't do him any good, though, since Luxor was intent on falling as well. So he did, letting gravity do all the work for him. They slammed into the ground, Luxor's shoulder still set against Amethyst's chest and rib cage.

"Stringy looking b*****d of a knight, goes by the name of Luxor. Mostly naked, pretty much just a loincloth and not much else. Thought he was going to be easy pickings - but he's got some serious Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon bullshit going on if you catch my drift."
Luxor. The Page whom Amethyst was currently facing had to be him. The Lieutenant suddenly remembered Leucite's words, a look of pure horror on his face as he gave a pained cry from the impact that his head and back made with the ground, the grip that he had on the Page going slack at the same instant. This was all a big mistake on his part. He should have turned tail and ran while he still had the chance. If this guy was able to hurt Leucite who was more adept at combat than he was, it was almost certain that he was going to wipe the floor with him by the time this fight was over and done with.
Pinned to the ground by Luxor's weight, he plainly ignored the protests that his body made with every movement he subjected it to, the drive for self preservation fueling him for now as he squirmed and struggled. Shoving at the other with his hands, he planted both his feet on the ground to give himself some leverage with which he bucked his hips, trying everything he could think of to get Luxor off him.

Luxor was glad for his life before powering up. He had lived a life of physical labor and toil, of constant exercise and body tuning. He was strong and he was glad for that, because it made transitioning into a super powered fighter just a little bit easier. No, he was not the strongest out there, and he lost a lot of fights and left himself injured and vulnerable.
But he was determined, and he was confident. That helped.
He was expecting Amethyst to try and throw him and tried to account for it, lashing out and smashing his fist into the others gut as hard as he could in an effort to discourage him, but he still managed to throw the knight as he bucked. Luxor rolled away, scrambling to his feet and clenching his hand into a fist.
The glove he wore was his weapon, but it did nothing for him, really. It just kept his hand warm, which wasn't even necessary because it was still rather warm out. He was a little distracted, though, and wasn't thinking about it. Just having it on his hand made him want to fight with that hand, and in a way it was strengthening him.

Amethyst felt as if he had been ran over by a truck, his stance unsteady as he sought to keep himself upright the moment he was back on his feet. His back and stomach hurt. Probably developing a really nasty bruise after the abuse that they had been put through. His sense of balance easily thrown off if he turned his head a little too quickly.
He narrowed his eyes and glared at Luxor, knowing already that this encounter wasn't going to end well for him. "You're Luxor..." It was a simple statement. Neither a question nor something that he expected the Page to confirm or refute as he stood his ground and waited for the other to make his next move. His aim now was to make it through this by hook or by crook.
Live to see another day as what they always said.

Luxor's eyes flickered when Amethyst said his name, though he did not react any further than that. His expression was set in an angry scowl, and he was ready to end the fight in a very serious and permanent way. his anger got in the way of his good sense, and he was not above removing Chaos agents out of the fight one by one.
"You're dead."
He heard himself say it without putting any thought into it. He was not in this business to chat with the Negaverse, not after the terrible things he had seen them do. They were not worth being considered human, and they did not deserve any kind of respect.
The Page of Pluto growled and took a breath, gathering himself for another big lunge. He charged at Amethyst full pelt, aiming to slam into him again so he could pelt the poor guy with solid punches. Luxor was wearing himself out, but he hadn't hit his limit just yet.

The flicker in Luxor's eyes was all that Amethyst needed to affirm that he was indeed the Page whom Leucite had warned him about. There wasn't any point in biding his time and waiting for an opportunity to turn the tables on him if that was the case then. He was probably better off making a quick getaway while he still could. Watching the dark-haired male closely, it took almost all of his own willpower to not jump out of his skin or turn tail and run when Luxor started to charge towards him. Would he take a left, a right perhaps or opt for a straight path?
It was growing harder and harder to stand his ground with the other rapidly closing in on his current position and then he attempted a dive to the right, hoping that Luxor would not have the chance to react in time for him to get back onto his feet and start putting as much distance between the both of them as his body could manage at the moment. He had a feeling that he wouldn't be able to get back up on his own should he found himself brought down to the ground another time.
