I've posted something similar in the CB, but I figured it couldn't hurt to also post here about this. I'm thinking about starting a permanent freebs/tips thread in the Artist's Corner, where I'll do poopy artsu (mostly headshots like the sample below) freebs, trades, and donations( a.k.a.: gold tips would be welcome towards my quest/items from my wishlist) will be optional. I need honest opinions/feedback/comments/critique and let me know if this is art you would tip/art trade/pay for (and how much you would be willing to tip/pay, hypothetically). I'm experimenting and since I'm newer to digital art, I haven't really established one set art style yet. This (below) is just a rough I finished.  Also, if you or someone you know makes signature banners/post graphics/etc, please let me know! c: I will be adding more samples later. ^___^

Are you planning on putting it in the Artist's Corner or the Art Freebie thread?
o .o Because if you're planning on doing freebs and not request tips/payment
then I'd suggest the Art Freebs. If you're requesting tips/payment then
I'd suggest the mini-shop thread. o uo
Anyways! I would tip for your art, it's cute. ^^ I, personally, would
tip roughly 10-15k for a headshot. I will say though, if you would like
tips, you should post somewhere in your thread that you are questing
and that any tips are appreciated but not required.
Unfortunately, I don't know anyone that makes banners ;w; I have
my own art freebie shop-thingy and I'm thinking of making it permanent.
If you find someone who makes (preferably cheap) good banners, I'd
love it if you told me. emotion_kirakira
PS- I would love to do an art trade with you when I finish my
current requests, if you're interested!

Oh yeah, I totally will be making a freebs thread. I won't be requesting art trades or tips, but if someone felt inclined to offer tips, or wanted to do an art trade, I wouldn't refuse. I always appreciate people's kindness and always let them know. Thanks for your honest feedback. ^____^ I need the practice so that maybe one day, I'll be good enough to have an actual shop thread instead of a freebs thread. But I thought a freebs thread would be great to start practicing in a steady manner.
As for the banners, I will totally let you know if I find something good. ^___^ We can help each other out in this. c: And I'd love to do an art trade with you! c:

Sorry to bother you again! I found an easy to use (Beta) banner maker~
If you can't find anyone to make your banner, you can use this to make
your own.
[ L i n k ]
All you have to do is pick a size (they have example sizes) to get started.
I'd suggest that you have transparent samples of whatever you want to
feature in your banner or you can just use the text tool. ^^
It let's you pick the color and everything.

Your art is cute but it needs practice, a good deal of research/reading and practice. You can find a lot of SAI tutorials on deviantart and youtube when it comes to the basics on sketching/coloring the head parts for starters since you'll be doing headshots mostly.
Its also helpful to keep folders of drawings from other good artists for art references - facial expressions, eyes, hair styles, noses, mouths, poses, etc for you to practice on.
I see the effort you put in the hair strands. Its nice but it needs more polishing and again practice o w o

strawberryalice I've been looking at SAI tutorials on DA, but now that you mention youtube, I'm gonna check them out there too. I know I'm not really any good yet, but I want to get better. I try to practice every day when I have the time. Thank you for the honesty and constructive feedback. c: Yes, there are some helpful tuts in youtube too though most art/drawings are done in speed. That's right. Improve your art. Learn from other artists. Its also good if you do more traditional sketching too. Its more comfy and easy when practicing different strokes and lines.
