This is a Oldbie/ Current Owner Event!
I'm going to take applications for Eldering and choose a couple (maybe more) pets to elder!(There is a separate event for newbies going on as well, Happy Veterans Day!) What: Veteran Eldering Applications
Who: People who currently own ADULT winiko
When: NOW
Dates: 11/8- 11/13 ...::Rules & Details::...You may submit as many entires as you have adults that might be eligible. There is no RP/ story etc required, but make sure you fill out the form completely! This is open to GEN 1, Winiko adults only. ( Sorry the Wraik lines were killed in the war and have to be re-done... and the Meiko aren't available yet!) I don' know how many we will pick, it will depend on entries. No chitterchatter here just entries please! So, this was STUPIDLY tough to decide! I spent half the night re-doing and redoing the list ( srlsy ask Lural)
Finally, finally...5 made the cut!
( and at least 5 more barely missed it and will be my first picks next time I'm Eldering!

If you guys request an elder from a past artist, (Mikie, Voo, Cherry etc etc) its me doing it so the style is gonna change a little if its picked. ( I can mimic all the other styles but its still gonna be a little different no matter what!) Keep that in mind if you are picky about a certain artists work smile

She's still a bit of a Princess when she wants to be, but she's determined, now, to be strong and stand at her mate's side, fighting hard to protect what she loves. Why should we pick this one?: He is a wise and steady Winiko, willing to advise others even in the toughest of situations. He helped Aurianna guide their 'adopted family' through the war, so that they all escaped alive. His advice often swayed Auri down a calmer path.

So I feel a special connection to him, and even though Dark is gone, seeing him still makes me happy and even happier that the shop came back!

(Apologizing in advance...I've always wanted to earn an Elder, and have never managed to, and had trouble narrowing it down further than this, so I at least tried to put them in order from most wanted to lesser. Why should we pick this one?: Dyani was my very first Wini and has been very special to me for a long time. I very much wanted to earn her Eldership through RP, but never managed to get much serious, logged RP done. However, she's come a long way from the shy, cowering Wini she once was. Still far from boisterous, she found a quiet sort of confidence and grace during the war, assisting Aponi with her refugee aid efforts, offering support and protection to those who sought peace from the fighting. She's grown up quite a bit, and found herself as well as a little inner peace along the way. I see no good reason to act my age! Winiko Name: Makya Link to cert: [ Link] Does this Wini have a mate/sibling/other family: He has three children, Sahkyo, Niya, and Kariys, from a breeding with Israi. Have not yet discussed if they will reunite after the war. Why should we pick this one?: One of my favorite Winis, and I'm looking forward to getting to play him again. Hope to explore his relationship with his girls after the war, and see what happens to him. War turned him into a darker creature than he once was, yet he became so out of the desire to protect his little girl and find the rest of his family. I see no good reason to act my age! He was always such a serious character, but with such potential. My little 'fallen angel' with a tragic past he refused to share. Maybe one day, someone will get it out of him. I figure he saw a lot of bad things in the war...maybe, instead of pulling him down, it allowed him to put his own personal issues into perspective. Maybe he realized that some things that drag us down aren't nearly as important as we think they are, at least not to cling to, rather casting them aside to move forward... I see no good reason to act my age! Peppercorn is MIA/possibly dead from the war (haven't decided yet, but either way, she's not active), and I dunno what Shree is going to do with Breakbass. Denali was a fling, so I'm not counting her as a mate. Why should we pick this one?: Because Echo went to culinary school like he always dreamed and became a pastry chef! Becoming an elder is his graduation! He's ready to bake ALL THE CAKES! I think it's worth noting that I don't think he has the koi feelers - it's hard to tell since he's black on black lineart. I actually like him that way, so should you choose to elderfy him, I would prefer that he still lack them. She's tough as nails and won't take s**t from anybody, and surviving a war has made her even tougher. She's seen things, man. Things you can't imagine. But being a little non-elder keeps some of the other winis from taking her too seriously. At least if she was an elder, she'd be able to reach Asgard to bop his mask when he's being particularly naive and derpy.

( Son-in-Law Orion he doesn't acknowledge existence. ) Why should we pick this one?: He's a proud ol' slug. Or would be slug. Never got around to completing the slimification, but one day, he hopes of becoming a proud slimey lord of all he sees ( aka, everything his claws touches is his. It's a pain to clean up. Soap and water just don't cut it.) And, since he is the first Winiko ever to harass fondly destroy everything in sight in my hoard... Why not? Another elder Slug would be good for the world. Maybe. D; Why should we pick this one?: Sagira has gone through a lot of hardship and heartache. Since she arrived in the world, it has not been an easy ride for her. The love of her life left her to love another, breaking her heart and leaving her seemingly alone in the world. She is weary of pain, so she let it go, closing her eyes to the anguish she felt in memories of her past. Instead, she moved forward in her life, gaining life experiences by being around others and learning their stories, carrying them with her to tell others. In essence, she became a gatherer of memories in order to keep from thinking of the ones she buries.

Two daughters- Halen and Zamiel with KasparWhy should we pick this one?: Because she's a Christmas tree Ripje was my first Wini and is my favorite. War didn't change her too negatively; if anything, it refined her and gave her more focus. The fighting took her from a giggly scatterbrain to somebody who actually has a drive and is able to concentrate on one thing with precision.

Really, Doyle was my very first wini and I did what I could to spoil him rotten (I don't think he really appreciates the not-so-manly fairy wings but they are SO him!). He survived the war by pure optimism (and artful hiding) but he didn't come out unscathed (the things he saw went against a lot of what he believed and it was so sad...). Now, while still kind and somewhat playful - he doesn't really know that he is often over-the-top or just a little too loud. Requested "Fractured Rainbow" title in recert thread.

She kind of likes the dope, but won't admit it. Why should we pick this one?: I imagine that Northridge is one of the few demons who was both prepared for war, and enjoyed it. If there was a skirmish, she would try to be there to lay the smack down on an enemy. She was probably the instigator of more than a few fights too. She had to have gained enough experience to level up! (Eldering would be a plot device, and character growth)

Why should we pick this one?: My personal reasoning: Not having been my first Winiko, Pan still means a lot to me, both Spiritually (he has been my altar picture for "the horned god") and simply as a character.Pan's IC Winiko Reasoning: Being one of softer heart then most, he was a caregiver during the war. This gave him many opportunities and experiences to learn, as well as setting him on the path of many wini's and other creatures to learn from. Having collected all this knowledge, he can feel inside that he is ready for Growth in more than wisdom alone.

During the war, she was the point of contact for the family. She did her best to keep track of everyone and make sure that they came home safe. I see no good reason to act my age! Why should we pick this one?: During the war, Oakley thought works of art and beautiful things should be preserved and not touch by the ravages of war. Since he considers himself a work of art, he did his best to keep himself delightfully presentable during war activities. With such a sense of self-preservation, Oakley is going to live to a ripe old age. Familiar, in case you need it.
