Kyllian
Name: Kyllian Nickname: Ian Gender: Male Stage: Teenager Sexuality & Status: Hasn't explored & plotted Height: 10'2" Weight: Heavy due to muscle and general size Nature: Wild Occupation:: Rocket Grunt
Likes: Popcorn Wrestling / Tackling / Play fights Staying active The Outdoors Protecting others Metal Working
Dislikes: Whiners / People who cry (He gets really uncomfortable) Humans Liars / Cheats / Two-faced people Being made fun of Sweet food
Living Arrangements: A two story, three bedroom home with Chloe and Kole. The facility with Dr. Hewitt.
Personality: Kyllian is a wild child with a hero complex. When he isn't running rampant in the forest he usually likes to keep himself busy helping others any way that he can. However sweet he may be, he does have a vicious side once crossed. That being said, Kyllian is very black and white; you're either a good person who deserves his aid, or a bad person who shouldn't walk into any dark alleys.
He adores displays of physical strength. This could be books of knights, warriors from long ago, strong man contests, Poke'mon battles; you name it he's probably practicing for it in his back yard! The only draw back is that he doesn't like to fight in anger; only good natured battles.
☀Background: Kyllian was revived from a Jaw Fossil thanks to an elderly scientist named Dr. Hewitt. Hewitt thought he would find a great Pokemon companion to help aid in his research, and as such wasn't expecting the wild child that came from the fossil.
Upon finding out that Kyllian was too much for him to handle, he proposed to trade it off with a young "trainer" that had visited the area. Kyllian overheard the exchange, and in fear for his future, ran away from the facility into the woods. Fearful and distrustful of most, he's made friends with the Pumpkaboo Kole and the Scatterbug Chloe, vowing that they will be the only ones allowed into his secret world.
While he allowed his world to expand, it seemed to crumble in upon him. Kole went off the deep end, Chloe disappeared, and with them went his purpose. Who was he to protect if not his friends? He went willingly back to the facility because he had no where else to go, and has been there ever since.
☀Moves: Tail Whip, Tackle, Roar and Charm

Kyllian nuzzled his head underneath a large pile of leaves, and lifted them into the air with a little kick flip. He enjoyed Autumn so much! It was his favorite time of year because it wasn’t too cold, but it was cool enough that all of the bug Poke’mon tended to go away. He was really starting to dislike the little butt string ones, like Chloe, but that was okay. He wouldn’t be seeing her for a while, anyway.
With a wide grin the little dino tromped around the patch, biting and snapping at any leaf that fell his way.
Brennen didn't like Autumn. He loved the colors, he didn't like the cool winds that came with them. He liked the pumpkins and apples, but not the ghost stories. Everything seemed to be falling into a slumber that wouldn't end until Spring. He'd miss the green leaves and soft grass. He kicked up a pile of leaves playfully, and in doing so, spotted Kyllian. "Hi!"
Kyllian paused, his mouth opened wide, showing rows upon rows of jagged fangs before slowly closing it, looking quizzically worried. The boy was human, but not? He didn’t smell right, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try to catch him. He hunched down, curling his lip back with a growl, stepping back in the woods a bit.
Brenny stiffened. He had never been frightened of another Pokemon before--but this one had lots of teeth. Like a monster! He gave a tiny shiver. "Er. Its okay. I'm nice," he tried. "I'm Brenny. ...please don't bite me."
“I’m not gonna bit’cha, if’n you don’t try ta catch me.” Kyllian held his little arms out in a ninja like stance, spreading his legs apart as he did so. He wasn’t a fighting type, but boy oh boy, would he give it a go! Come get some, green kid! “You’re a weird little human, anyway. You almost look like a Poke’mon.”
"Why would I try to catch you?" Brenny asked, blinking. "I haven't got any pokeballs. I left my bouncy one at Uncle Grayson's but that one can't catch anyone." He smiled slightly. "Oh, I see. You think I'm human! I'm a Pokemon too! Like you! See? I have wings."
“Oh, well, okay then.” Kyllian relaxed a bit, but still looked him over good, making sure to walk around the child. Satisfied Brenny was telling the truth, he nodded and came around to face him. “But you’re not like me, you’re all…people-y.” Something was nagging at him, and when it hit him he almost smacked himself. Or rather, he would have, if his arms were longer. “The names Kyllian, by the way. No nicknames-“ he pointed a claw at Brenny “-I don’t do nicknames.”
"I'm like a human, huh?" Brenny mused, grinning as he looked down at himself. "But I'm not. Its because I found this star, and it changed me. I'm a celebi! See? But I don't know what you are." He hesitated. He could see a lot of potential for nicknames in the pokemon's name, but if he didn't like them, Brenny wouldn't offer them. "Nice name!"
“Stars are ‘posed to be in the sky, so you shouldn’a touched it, and you’d be…a celebi, thing, still.” Oh yes, Kyllian was quite the scholar. It was as black and white to him as noodles and dirt. One was good, the other bad, and being odd was odd. Wait…what? Now he’d confused himself.
“Celebi, huh? Well-“ standing tall and proud, Kyllian stuck out his chest “-I am a Tyrunt!”
"I didn't know it was a star," Brenny protested. "It was in my blanket and I was going to warm up but I found it." And really, he was glad he had. He had made so many friends since then. That star had to have been good luck. "You're like the sharp teeth in my movie!" Brenny exclaimed. "But you won't bite me so you must be a nice one!"
“Don’t’cha know to check before you sleep? Sheez, kid, come on!” Kyllian raised his head to the sky in an exasperated sigh. “Anyway, it’s over, you’re weird lookin’ but alive, so that’s good.” He jumped back, nervous now because of Brenny’s exclamation, holding his claws out in an odd stance. “What’s a movie?”
"Well, now I do. I didn't then. I had only just hatched a little before that!" Brenny defended himself. "Anyway I don't think I'm too weird. There's lots of pokepeople like me! My daddy and my sister and my brother too! Maybe one day you'll find a star." He hesitated at the unexpected question. "Well. Its moving pictures! I'll show you! Wanna come to my house?"
Kyllian felt like he was going to be sick. “A star? Yeah, right! Not if I’m gonna look like you!...The human part, that is.” Did it still sound too mean? Nah, of course not, he fixed it, didn’t he? “So long as I get’ta come back here at the end, sure.” He was still edgy around people, Poke’mon or not! The doctor had made sure of that when he’d brought him out of his fossil. “Ya got food, right?”
"You might! There's a Pokemon called Jirachi and it makes the stars! They fall and we find them. Lots of Pokemon have. Almost every single one I've met! My pet grew into my sister and then I caught a magikarp by giving him a cookie and he grew, so he's my brother. And my friend Jacen, he changed too!" The celebi boy paused, blinking. "Of course you do. This is your home! You're just coming for a visit! Come on! I've never had a tyrunt over for lunch. Wait until Daddy sees! Oh, lots! Popcorn is good for movies. I'll make some!"
He’d rather turn into a Bug type than meet this Jirachi fellow. Kyllian liked life just the way it was, thank you very much! It was simple and good and he didn’t have to wear pants. Where was the harm in keeping it that way?
“Right, right, lead the way, then! Let’s go see your dad and eat “popcorn”. “ He had no idea if Brenny’s dad would be a Poke’mon, or another Poke’person, or what the heck popcorn was, but it sounded interesting. He seemed friendly enough, and he sure was curious about what a movie was!
Brenny beamed, leading the way to his apartment. "Daddy, you home? I brought a friend!" He called as he unlocked the front door. There was no response. The celebi boy frowned. "Oh. That's right, today is a work day. But he might be home Saturday for you to meet! You can come in! Daddy won't mind if I have a guest. I'll make popcorn and then we can watch my dinosaur movie!"
Kyllian couldn’t stop turning his head this way and that, ever more aware that he was in human territory. This was far as he’d come into their areas since leaving “home”, and now… well, now he poked around the apartment, looking at the various bits of furniture like a human might glass statues in a store. Oddly mesmerizing, but too afraid to touch.
“Make lots!” He followed Brenny, swinging his tail behind him. “Lots and lots of popcorn.”
"Okay I'll make lots!" Brenny agreed, moving to the kitchen. He opened the cupboard and took out a large bowl, and then a box of popcorn. He took out two bags and, removing the plastic wrapper from one, placed it in the microwave. He set the timer and beamed. "Now we just wait," he said. "It'll go ding! Then I can put in the next bag and make more! Yay!"
Kyllian tilted his head to the side, giving Brenny a look that said he wasn't quite sure what was going on, but it was weird. Weird even for the weird kid. He shrugged and let it go. If the box made him food, then he'd head it and not ask too many questions!
Brenny listened for the beep and carefully, so not to get burnt, removed the bag from the microwave. He poured it into the bowl. He carried it out to the living room, beaming. "Try it!" He invited. "I'll make the second bag if you like it!"
Kyllian trotted out behind Brenny, keen on the sweet smell of the popcorn and when the bowl was offered he didn't wait to be told a second time. He stuck his head close to it, gobbled a mouthful and chewed. "Mrrphfrop!" Kyllian paused, and swallowed. "It's good! Real good."
Brenny watched the tyrunt eat with interest, which quickly became amusement. He ate just like the celebi imagined a pet would! "You really like it?" He asked. "I'll go make more! Then we can watch the movie!"
"Yeah, yeah, make some more!" Kyllian nodded his head, dipping it back down again to get another biteful. Wasn't this like what humans had? Servants or something? It was nice, since he didn't have to find food himself. This Brenny kid was alright in his book.
Brenny quickly went back into the kitchen to start another bag of popcorn. He wondered if this was like what it would have been like to have a dinosaur for a pet. A talking dinosaur that liked popcorn! The concept amused him, but he was sure Connie wouldn't like finding a real live sharp tooth in their apartment! When the microwave beeped, indicating that the popcorn was finished, he went into the livingroom. "Hey Kyllian, what else do you like?" He asked. "We can play after the movie!"
Kyllian kept a rhythm of munching and breathing. Occasionally one would get paused for the other when a piece of the fluffy stuff when down his throat, but it was okay, since it was so good! "Ya mean food or stuff?" He licked his lips and situated himself on the floor before giving a little sheepish frown. "Uh, well, bout that. I can't stay long, so after this movie I should probably be getting back...but we can do it another time, if ya want."
"Both! What's your favorite thing to do?" The celebi seemed disheartened when Kyllian explained that he would have to go after the movie, but brightened almost immediately after. "Oooh, I'd like that! Maybe next time you come, you can meet Daddy! And I can show you my hot wheels! I don't have a race track, but I bet we could make one if we work together!"
"I like squirrel, and play fighting." Maybe one day he could convince Kole to take a tumble with him, but not Chloe. She'd sooner cry on him, but this kid...maybe he could talk him into it, one day! "That sounds cool! I've got some stuff back in my den I can bring. S'not as cool as movies and popcorn, but they're pretty nice."
Brenny's eyes bulged slightly at the mention of squirrel, but he decided it was probably better not to ask. Not everyone could live off of plants like he did, after all! "Oooh, you'd like my sister then! She's a fighting type. I bet if you ask her, she'll play with you!" Brenny himself was a bit wary of fighting. He had had trouble using moves against a teacher in a lesson, even. "I bet you have pretty cool stuff," he said. "Maybe I'll bring you a present if I ever visit!"
Kyllian's eyes brightened and something akin to a smile grew from his toothy maw. "That'd be great! Can she fight good? She's not gonna cry like a...well, like a girl, right?" Cuz, he'd feel really bad if she did. It was so awkward to see people cry. "Sounds good. Where's that movie, huh? We should get ta watchin' it, since I gotta be leaving soon."
"She sure can! She was training with one of my friends until recently. But she's really good at fighting! I've never ever seen her cry, so I don't think so!" He hesitated, and grinned. "I almost forgot! Wow, you're so much fun to talk to!" He stood and moved to turn the dvd player on, and stuck the dvd in. "Now it'll play," he explained.
Well, well! This was just getting better and better all the time. Good eats, a weird kid to chat with, this movie thing, and now someone to battle with. Oh, he was definitely coming back here. Kyllian grabbed another mouth full of popcorn and turned to watch the movie.

Poke'mon - Journal Entry One
The spindle limbs reaching out for warmth made for an interesting tree. Kyllian had dug out the base of the older oak when he came to the area, moving as much dirt as he needed to to make a modest home underneath the large roots. During the Summer months the tree had been full of life giving leaves and Bug type Poke’mon. He had never known a day of silence, but now…everything was quiet.
Kyllian leaned his head out onto the surrounding bank, slumped up against the ground. Shoo, he sure was tired! Making a new wing on the den had been harder than he thought, and now he wanted a good nap, but his mind wouldn’t slow down. How was Dr. Hewitt? Did he miss him at all, even a little?
Probably not. That ol’ codger hadn’t been too concerned when he talked about trading him off to that little human. Kyllian snorted, sending a puff of dust and leaves in the air before him. It wasn’t fair! He had a nice home, with all the food he could eat, and Hewitt hadn’t been that bad. …What did he do wrong?
No, no, no! He didn’t have time to think about that. Worming his shoulder into the ground, he turned over onto his back, and slipped back down into the den. Boring days made him think, and thinking as just as bad as rotten food. Kyllian twitched his feet in the air, swaying them to some tune he couldn’t put his claws on. Humans were just nasty liars, that’s all. It wasn’t his fault, nope, not his! Dr. Hewitt was at fault, and not him. He’d apologized for all of his mistakes, and still…
It was a sad day. Kyllian didn’t like them, but they came. Maybe he should go find the butt yarn spinner? That little worm thing. Or the pumpkaboo! He could fight more humans with him (because, wasn’t that what they had done? Fought and WON. Yeah boy!). Maybe he could even go back to find Brenny. Even if he was weird, he’d been ten times better than Dr. Hewitt and that meant a lot.
Nope! No moping!
Kyllian rolled back onto his feet, and took off at a run out of the den. Tired, or not, he was going to go out and get the day! He wasn’t about to sit around think about Hewitt at a time like this. He needed to hunt, run, play! So many more important things to do than to mope. He was a happy, happy Poke’mon and he needed to remember that he was the one who ran away; ran away before he’d been traded off!
He'd go out and find someone to chat with, after all, he'd made plenty of friends, so why not? it was better than digging his claws in the ground waiting for- No! No waiting! Just running, running like he was and smiling.
Frowns had no place in this new world of his, and neither did humans!

Poke'mon - Finding the Star
Kyllian paced the spaces underneath the apple tree, waiting for another juicy bit of fruit to fall. He'd given up on finding meat for the day, and while they weren't his favorite, there were plenty of apples around!
The young tyrunt had set up a system; run all out, smash his head against the tree and wait for the food to fall. He sure did have a heck of a headache, but the results were worth it! He just couldn't stop munching down on the stuff, and he'd become so eager for food that before they could even fall he would try to catch them in his jaws.
Crunch!
He already had a little pile set up on the side to take back with him, but most of them were bruised and cracked from having hit the ground. Still, it was food he didn't have to hunt for and that was awesome!
As the evening began to wear in to night, he continued on, until Kyllian decided after one more bite he was going to stop. His stomach was already angry at him for having eaten so much not-meat, and he didn't think he could push it much more.
So, when a bright, shiny ball came his way, the tyrunt didn't think anything of it. He opened up as if it were an apple, and only when the star had landed in the crevice did he panic. The warmth was unbearable! His jaw muscles ached already, and as much as he wanted to spit it out all he could do was gag. Kyllian stumbled around, tripped over his pile of apples, and knocked his head against a rock, sending him into darkness.

Child - Lt. Dan, you got new legs!
After rolling around onto his stomach, Kyllian gave a huff into the cold, damp leaves. It was one thing to have his head throbbin’ like he’d been hit with a stone, but it was quite another to be so cold! He shivered, feeling a chill run down his skin. Ugh, it even felt like his scales were as thin as the leaves sticking to them!
Pressing his chin into the ground, the Tyrunt child attempted to push himself into a stance, and found his arms scrapping the ground. Which was odd, considering they’d never been long enough to do that before. And his chin was really small, causing dirt to go into his mouth, and what in the world was up with all of this black stuff in his eyes?!
Ramming his forehead into the slick muck, Kyllian slid his legs as best he could under himself, and stood. He took a deep breath, and moved his head to whip the mud off on his shoulder, only now noticing how very un-scaley his body had become. Now that he thought about it, he was standing an awful lot taller now too, and - woah, his arms had grown! A LOT!
He could reach up and touch his face, even the very top of it, and boy, there sure was a lot of that black stuff. Put he could push it around, like the humans coul- Kyllian froze. The almost curiously innocent glee was now replaced with a wary look. He tugged on his hair, causing himself to yelp. This was…weird, really, really weird, and as much as he really didn’t like where his train of thought was going, he was trying to look on the positive side.
Okay, so now he was a freak like that Brenny kid, some kind of human, Poke’mon, THING, that much he could tell, but hey, he could use his arms now. And he had five claws instead of two! He was taller, so not as many Poke’mon could pick on him, but he was colder.
A lot colder. Shivering, Kyllian hunched over, wrapping his arms around himself to ward off against the strong Autumn winds. He needed that stuff that humans had - the colorful cloths! And stat! Bolstering up his confidence, the tyrunt took off at a fast paced, albeit wobbly jog to the city.

Child - Entry One!
Adjusting to life as a child instead of a Tyrunt was easier than Kyllian had thought it would be. The added adjustment of longer arms was definitely a bonus, but the lack of scales and hide to keep him warm was disarming. So, naturally, it wasn’t long before he found himself skulking into the city to find some sort of covering for himself!
Needless to say, a naked horned boy in town had caused quite the stir. Even when the cops were called to chase him down he’d attacked as best he could before taking off at a dead run. Kyllian was used to running away from humans, after all, but these were fast humans! They cornered him off in an alleyway, one that was foreignly familiar to him, and when a man’s voice sounded from a window above him, he knew where he’d messed up.
Kyllian had run straight to Dr. Hewitt’s office.
If he had remembered not to go this way he wouldn’t be standing in front of the man he had promised never to see again, with a cop’s hand on each shoulder. Defiantly, he looked up at Hewitt with a betrayed hatred, headless of the way the man cooed and crooned his way to get the police to leave Kyllian with him.
“Where have you been?! I’ve been looking for you everywhere! And how did you get like this?! Oh, Kyllian…” The older man tried to hug him, but Kyllian backed against the now closed door, a full growl warning Hewitt to back off. Too bad it wasn’t as impressive with humanoid lungs. “Kyllian? Come here, boy, it’s all right. We’ll get you fixed up. You have to be freezing.”
“Stay away from me, you pin head!” Ah-ha! That’d show him! “Whose ta say ya ain’t gonna trade me off again, huh?! How ‘bouts you just back away an’ I’ll get on outta here.” Even as Kyllian stood there, naked as the summer sky, he’d never felt more invisible. Despite the concern that Hewitt was showing for the boy, it didn’t stick with him; all he remembered was the pain of the betrayal, and the friends who could take that hurt away from him. The friends he swore in his heart to protect. He just had to get away!
Kyllian turned and tried to open the door with little success, then screamed as he was grabbed from behind. He fought, kicked, punched and bit Hewitt until the warmth of the other man leeched what little bit of energy was still left in the boy. All he could manage to do was turn fearful orange eyes to the weathered face, ignorant of the hurt hidden within the wrinkles.
“If you won’t stay with me, at least let me take care of you until you can do it for yourself. I’ll get you a house, clothes, and food; just the simple things, okay? Please, Kyllian, let me make it up to you.”
At the time he had been too exhausted to fight it anymore. Kyllian allowed the doctor to dress him (though, he’d been obstinate on the clothes, even if Hewitt had vehemently told him they were part of a Halloween costume, whatever that was), feed him, and at last, the pair drove up to a modest two story house in the suburbs. It’s neighbors were nice enough, and the area was close enough to the woods that he could flee if he wanted to. The roofing was a new aluminum job, but the worn wood of the porch said that the home itself was much, much older, which was probably how Hewitt had been able to afford it.
“I’ll have my assistant stop by once a day to check on you and help you fix dinner. If you need anything, my number is on the fridge, and I’ve left notes to help you along.” When Hewitt moved in for a hug, Kyllian dodged it, thanked him, albeit awkwardly and stepped up closer to the house. It needed a lawn trimming, that was for sure! And flowers; something to take away from the overall ugliness of it. If he was going to stay in a human house, it had to look good! He tried the key in the lock, found it amazing that he’d got it on the first try and walked inside.
Notes didn’t cover it. There were sticky notes and papers on EVERYTHING. Detailed steps on how to turn on the tv, why he shouldn’t use the stove, how to use the microwave etc. At first, all it served was too confuse Kyllian and he walked away from it all upstairs. Why it had three bedrooms, he would never guess, but he picked the one with the biggest window, you know, in case he needed to make a fast get away.
Looking out that same window he signed and slipped down to the carpet to lay his chin on the window sill. What was he supposed to do with a house? A house with barely any furniture, white walls and less warmth than his hole under the tree? And now Hewitt knew where he was.
He needed a long nap, and a bunch of food to sort this out. Yep, that’s that ticket! With that in mind, Kyllian bounced up and took off for the stairs.

Child - Kyllian meets Uaithne!
Kyllian: The junk yard was great! Or at least, it was to Kyllian. Since it was warmer out today than it had been, he’d ditched the thermals he usually wore with his costume and drug a little wagon behind him. Everywhere he looked others may have found nasty, grimy junk; scrap that was worthless beyond its years. To him, all he could see was gold. Grinning, he kept his bright eyes on the lookout for the perfect piece to add to his collection. If he could just…
“Oh wow, is this…? It is! Haha, looks like I’ve got a new bed!” A perfectly good pair of beat up bed rails were half hidden underneath a pile of torn metal. With just a little elbow grease he knew he could get them ship shape in no time at all. Once he did, he’d take that bed, and put the one in his room in one of the other two rooms, just in case his friends ever decided to stay over. Rolling his shoulders, Kyllian parked the wagon and started shifting the metal on top out of his way.
Uaithne: Uaithne had showed up at the junk yard ages ago and he had a steadily growing pile of stuff he’d set aside to go through properly. For now it was just stuff that had caught his attention. Finally he unearthed himself from a pile of junk that had slid onto him a bit ago, erupting from the center with a triumphant cheer as he held a slightly rusted hammer above his head. That would be helpful for his new little workshop he’d set up.
Demeter had told him all his banging and stuff was noisy and made it hard to think let alone rest! So he had been in the process of making his own little haven where he could build, but the hammer he’d been using…nothing more than a rock…had broken on him, and he’d had a hard time finding anything else that was sturdy enough. That and he’d needed materials! He heard the clatter of metal not far off and he tensed, wondering if it was another junk-alanche!
Kyllian: Kyllian hefted a large chunk of an old motor out with nothing, but his raw strength alone, and paused when he heard what sounded like a shout. The tyrunt turned around, expecting to see someone freaking out about a kid lifting something that heavy, ready to explain it away on Poke’mon strength and finding…no one. He furrowed his brows, and after pulled the bed rails out, he strapped them down on his wagon with some old twine before seeking out the sound.
“Hello?” Kyllian called out, tentatively poking his head around the piles of scrap metal and junk. It was then that he spotted something fuzzy somewhat close to him. Was it another torn cushion? ….Maybe he could patch it with tape! With an almost giddy run, he banged his way closer, and found himself slightly disappointed to see it was another boy. “Aww, man, I thought you were a pillow.” Taking a deep breath, he exhaled and stood a little taller, a little smile growing. “But, forget about that, were you the one who yelled out? Did you find something good?”
Uaithne: Uaithne could see out of his mop of unruly, often unbrushed hair easier than Demeter seemed to think…so he could see quite clearly the fact he was being charged at! He took up a defensive stance, wielding a piece of pipe he’d found only to blink and drop it to the ground. “A pillow? First I’m a salad…now a pillow….what is wrong with folks?”
There was a roll of his eyes and a shake of his head as he tried to make sense of how others could keep mistaking him for things he wasn’t. Though he gave a nod at the question. “Found me a hammer! Was that you making the metal move? I thought another pile of junk was about to fall on me.” He rubbed at a red spot where something had hit his upper arm and left a mark and not much else. He gave a toothy grin to the older boy then. “What’re you looking for? Maybe I’ve seen it!” well he’d been digging for awhile now!
Kyllian: Kyllian pulled to a quick, hurried stop and held up his arms in surrender. "Woah! Easy there, kid, I ain't gonna hurt ya, just curious, is all." Sheesh, were all the kids he met weird, or was it just him? "A hammer? That's cool, and yeah, I found some bed stuff." He motioned to the bed rails on his wagon, still unwilling to put his hands down so long as the other kept that pipe aloft. "Sorry bout that, though. Didn't know anyone else was here. " Kyllian shifted, his tail going with him. "House stuff, mostly. Trying to get a place set up so I don't hafta ask around fer stuff, ya know?"
Uaithne: The rusty pipe was dropped to the ground and he wiped the reddish color left on his hand onto his kilt with an absent thought behind it. “Yeah my rock I was using broke, so I needed a new one. Bed stuff?” he peered around the other boy and eyed the metal with a grin. “That’ll be fun to work with I bet.” He could see the possibilities really. “S’alright normally not a lot of people here. Hmm…anything else you’re looking for? My sister has made everything we need for our house, and shown me how to do stuff. Maybe I can give some help?” why not? He liked tinkering!
Kyllian: "I thought so too. Think I'm gonna make my own headboard, though. Make it really big and cool, you know?" He wasn't exactly sure how, but anything was better than taking money from Hewitt. "Hey, yeah, that sounds like a plan. I'm not really sure what to start with, so maybe you can give me some tips?" Maybe this kid could help Kyllian figure out what one actually DID with a house once they had one. He wanted his to be as nice as the ones in the magazines, but it was a lot harder than books make it out to be!
Uaithne “Headboard?” Uaith blinked a moment at the unfamiliar word, looking at the other kid curiously. “What’s one of them?” it sounded strange! “Well…lets see…’meter and I, we have some beds…she made them from leaves and branches and some super soft stuff…not sure what it is but it makes our beds so squishy. …and then there’s the blankets she made us…” he rolled his eyes up in thought, though this was hidden by the fringe of hair over his eyes. “We have a table she made from an old log…” what else was there? It was hard thinking of it, he was so used to seeing it every day!
Kyllian: "It's like...that big piece of wood or metal at the end of the bed where you put your head." As he spoke, Kyllian moved his hands around to make the motions as best he could. "Super soft..moss? Did'ja use moss for your beds?" That was something he'd done when he was still a Poke'mon, in the woods, but he hadn't slept on moss in so long...maybe it was time for a change. "Oh hey, yeah, a table!...what's that?"
Uaithne:/b] “Oh…I’ve never seen either of those things. Sounds kind of cool though! Impractical with an all natural bed like what I have though….and I think it might be moss! And some sort of plant fibers or something. She’s really good at that sort of thing.” He had a proud note to his voice talking about his sister! “A table is where you set things…like your plate of food to eat, or other things you don’t want on the floor. I’m sure people have them from things that aren’t old logs but I like ours!”
Kyllian: Kyllian stroked his chin, and nodded, contemplating an idea forming in his head. "Hey, do you think she'd help out with the house? I could cook for you guys; I can't pay you, but I've got a lot of cool scrap stuff you could go through and I may really good food." Okay, so, he could thus far only cook waffles, but at least they weren't burnt anymore. "I think I might like one of those. I had a bunch of stuff in the house, but I kind of broke a lot of it on accident, so I'm starting fresh." Meaning he'd either bitten through, trampled on, or outright destroyed it. A dino-Poke'mon, no matter the age or size, in a house was a bad combo. "Can you help me make one?"
Uaithne: His eyes widened at the prospect of a scrap pile to go through and he grinned. “I’ll ask my sister. I bet she’d say yes though she likes helping people! Where’s your house anyhow?” he knew she didn’t venture far from home, but was sure she’d make an exception to help someone out. “Really? Sure! I helped make the one we have at home too, it was a lot of fun. You can probably find bits and pieces here to make one out of metal if you wanted even.” The idea made him grin again. Oh this one was a fascinated little maker.
Kyllian: Kyllian grinned, his little fangs flashing. "Great! It's the last on on Elm Street, not too far from here, actually. It'll be the only house without a car in the drive way." And a whole bunch of scrap metal in the open garage, but he was sure this kid would be able to figure that out once he got there. "I like that alot. What if we made it in a circle, that way there's no edges for people to walk into?"
Uaithne: Uaith filed that information away for when it would be needed, nodding. Fortunately he could read and write, Demeter had taught him, though he didn't know how she knew. She seemed to know a lot though, so it was natural to him. "A circle...I like that idea! Might take a bit of work, and would have to be filed just right so it was still more rounded than sharp...but it'd be doable!" he was gesturing excitedly, then paused. "Oh! I'm Uaithne!"
Kyllian: Kyllian tossed up a thumbs up, with a self-assured grin. "Just gives us more time to tinker around!" Which was why he liked longer projects; they let him really pour all of his energy into it. "Nice ta meet'cha, Uaithne. My name's Kyllian. Now how's about we go looking for those parts, yeah? Daylights a wastin' and I'm eager to get started."
Uaithne: "Sounds good to me! I've been digging through the piles over there, but I think it's time to go looking in a new spot here." he beamed at the other and shouldered his haul. "Lets see if we can't find something to use for a table for you!"
Kyllian: Kyllian nodded, looking at his new friend. While not exactly what he'd expected to happen today, he wasn't about to look a gift Ponyta in the face. So, gussying up his bottoms, he grabbed for the handle of his wagon. "Let's do this!" And off he lead through the mountains of untold treasured scrap.
