Hound or Familiar: Hound, non-growing
Pose or Species: #1 with a fluffy tail (or #2 if you prefer)
Description: If possible, I was hoping for this pet to represent a (demon) Shetland Sheepdog, aka a 'Sheltie'.
Image Refs:
- Main Reference Sheet without wounds (colors being white, gray, and dark gray)
- Pet Cosplay from Wanderlust (but the markings around her face should be a lighter gray instead of dark gray)
- Pet Cosplay from Fuwa Fuwa
- Demonic edit ideas - don't have to follow these, just ideas
- More Demonic edit ideas (not by me) - don't have to follow these, just ideas
Edits: If she could have edits to make her appear more like a Sheltie and maybe some to make her more obvious as a 'demon'?
- Bent ears (like the adolescent stage lines)
- Full Body Fluff edit
- Longer chest and belly fur, wispy and trailing downward
- Big, poofy tail
- Longer and wispy fur on legs, trailing downward instead of fluffed upward
- Empty black eye sockets with no eyes (if not allowed, just a closed-eye edit would be fine)
- Regretful expression with blood tear stains leaking from empty eye sockets
- (Optional - willing to pay more for) Gruesome edits such as (but not limited to): cuts, sores, scabs, open wounds, patches of fur missing, ticks, and/or warts
- (Optional - willing to pay more for) A little bit of her spine showing
Additional Notes: I've been questing this hound since this shop was just an interest thread. Please let me know if you can't or won't do any of the edits and if any aspect of this character's design/concept isn't doable or won't fit into the shop. If they will and it's just a matter of gold, I'd be happy to pay whatever amount is necessary.
Type of Custom: Full
Hound or Familiar: Hound, non-growing
Pose: #1 (with an added tail?) or #2
Description: If possible, I was hoping for this pet to represent a (demon) Shetland Sheepdog, aka 'Sheltie'. If not possible, please let me know. ^_^; The markings of her face are like this. I'd appreciate if she could be colored Bi Blue, (gray with perhaps black and white, but no tan, please). I have no specific markings specified for her other than those on her face framing her eyes, so feel free to do whatever, whether it be gradient, spotted, mottled, or otherwise.
Edits: If she could have edits to make her appear more like a Sheltie - bent ears (like the adolescent stage lines), poofier tail, perhaps slightly poofier body fur - I would very much appreciate it.
If possible, could she have...no eyes...? Just...empty black sockets (similar to Ragetti from PotC when he took out his wooden eye)? But if that would be too creepy or not allowed or something, I can just say she has bad eyesight (maybe with a closed-eye edit). She's an old Hound, but as playful and energetic as her old bones will allow. If her eyes have blood tear stains leaking from them, that would be fantastic. As for an expression...perhaps regretful, if possible?
Also if possible, would it be okay to give her some gruesome edits? Feel free to go nuts - cuts, sores, scabs, open wounds, patches of fur missing, even ticks or warts or whatever - and if possible a little bit of her spine showing? and as mentioned above, hollow eye sockets)? If not, that's fine too, but to see what I mean, please refer to the reference images below. If you need specific details listed, let me know.

Rue is an OC of mine - a dog demon of regret who can only see those who have done wrong. For this reason, she cannot see children (who are innocent) or objects (such as walls) and may run into them if she does not hear, smell, or feel them in time. However, she loves children and will play with them if they're around. Usually she takes the form of a sheltie dog with no eyes and will be friendly toward most people.
Her vision accuracy is determined by a person's guilt; if they regret the wrong they've done, she can see their silhouette saturated in the color of their soul's aura. If they do not regret the majority of the wrong they've done, however, their silhouette is dark and desaturated.
The darker and less colorful a person's silhouette is to her, the more she feels an urge to change into her demonic form and devour them. She does not relish this and cries tears of blood after, both out of her own regret and to expel the excess liquid from her body (much like how crocodiles shed tears after a meal to expel excess salt water). Obviously this aspect of her isn't going to be exactly the same when I integrate her into this shop and I'm willing to change whatever aspects of her I need to in order to do so.
Since she has two forms and I'm not sure if this shop will allow the edits of her demonic form, I'm perfectly fine with just her normal dog form (preferably without eyes, or at least closed, but not a must). I'm willing to pay however much I need to for either. I just thought considering the setting of the shop, her story wouldn't need to be altered too much to fit it, even if she isn't allowed to have the vision of people's regret or things like that.
Please let me know if you can't or won't do any of the edits and if any aspect of this character's design/concept isn't doable or won't fit into the shop. If they will and it's just a matter of gold, I'd be happy to pay whatever amount is necessary.

(Attempt to obtain Rue as a custom from Hot Jackalope, which failed because said colorist quit before Rue was completed. 2 bil was returned.)

Hey there. I think I'm nearly done with Rue, and am now going to offer you the WIP shot. I did what I could with the edits while also keeping the shop's style, so I hope you like em. If you're not happy with anything, please let me know and I'll do what I can to remedy it.

My Response
Hello, there! First of all, thank you so much for accepting Rue as a custom. I've been questing for her since before the shop even opened. Second, your gruesome edits with the spine and ribs showing are fantastic. Thank you so much.
Unfortunately, I believe I failed in giving an adequate amount of proper/specific references. If you could change the following, I'd be happy to pay whatever extra I need to for your time and effort.
1. Expression - Would you mind changing her expression to be more like this, please? The blood tears are fine; it's just that I find her mouth and eyes seem more grumpy or annoyed than sad or regretful.
2. Ears - Er, the way the ears were bent just seemed a bit off to me, I'm afraid, because they were pointed in two different directions. Would it be alright to make it more like this, please?
3. Fur - Thank you for your efforts in making her more fluffy, but would it be possible to make her a little fluffier still, like this, or do you think that would go against the shop's style?
4. Markings - So sorry; the picture I gave you wasn't very clear and the gray was very blurred. There are actually two different grays in her fur - dark and medium. I kinda scribbled them in here, so feel free to make them blend more, but if you could keep it visible enough so that both colors of gray are distinguishable enough from each other, I would very much appreciate it.
Finally, how much do I owe you? I'm afraid I hadn't even known you had decided to take Rue on, so I didn't think to send the trade. If you would rather come up with an amount based on your work after she's finished, that's fine too. Just let me know. Thanks again so much!
