My sister found Tales of Symphonia 2 before she found the first one so she bought it. it was my first tales of game so i never thought of hating it yet everyone hates the second game =/. So i played the first game today and dang its hard compared to the second one o.o. i feel so stupid Q~Q

I think everyone hates it because it's either really short unless you do side quests or the characters are annoying. The plot was good to me, yet they didn't put a lot of work into it.
Anyway, how are you enjoying number one? ^_^

Basically, I think that Dawn of the New World is a poor sequel, but a decent enough game overall.
Strangely enough, I find the second game a bit harder as well. Perhaps it's because I have all of the awesome Grade shop stuff in the original... Perhaps it's the fact that I've played it a ton of times over the years.

im enjoying the game so far, its super hard though! and truthfully i love tos2 but i can see why some people hate it. i beat tos2 about maybe 2 times and still stuck on gladshiem crying ! and i have yet to get far in tos1 XD

I have the strategy guide for both games. But if you need help figuring anything out in the first game or you get stuck anywhere, feel free to ask for help.

Well I for one liked the second game.
True, it was a little too short for my liking and that depressed me, but meh, I guess they could have not made a game at all, so I'll take what I can get. I liked the story.
And it was fun when the old characters finally grouped up with the new characters.
I can't make it through Gladshiem either. I ragequit in there. LOL

Yeah i need to log in more often, i didnt get to play symphonia 1 much but im assuming that monster im failing to kill is Marble? i wont be surprised if it is but damn those Desians =/. I'll prolly be able to kill it when i have time to try, and i believe you have to kill specific monsters in Gladsheim but ughh its to complicated! i swear my friend did like over a 2 hour gameplay of that!

Yep, that's pretty much it for Gladsheim. Each corner has a certain monster you have to kill in order to advance to the next floor. I think I've done more than 2 hours on that dungeon alone. x.x

Just be glad that Gladsheim wasn't just a bunch of recycled locations like the one in > Xillia.< xx_Kannazuki no Miko_xx I'll try to do Gladsheim when I'm less confused on what to do x.x Btw does anyone here like Tales of Graces? I loved pretty much all the characters in Tales of Graces! But to narrow it down it would be Pascal,Sophie and Richard. Am I the only one that does SophiexAsbel? o3o

Am I the only one that does SophiexAsbel? o3o I could see Kid!Asbel x SameAsAlways!Sophie, but only during the kid arc. The game's story favors AsbelxCheria, so I'll stick with that... Though it does seem a bit forced. I prefer the kind of thing that we see in Tales of Vesperia, where Yuri and Estelle (to me) seem pretty platonic. I love (heh) that.

Truthfully Cheria annoyed me a little and I really prefer Asbel with Sophie =/ The main male's obvious love interest is supposed to be annoying. Besides, Asbel and Sophie wouldn't work. All she wants is a family, and being the boy/girlfriend or ex to your adoptive father/daughter is just plain awkward. Asbel x Cheria are a much better fit. Though, I can also see Malik x Cheria or Richard x Sophie. Then there are the yaoi pairings Malik x Asbel and Richard x Asbel. >///<
