Sebastian was, for once, at least NEAR the shop-proper. He was in the park, seated on the grass, bits and bobs strewn out in front of him, and a large pink book with a gear on it sitting next to his thigh. Currently, he was trying to loosen a stubborn screw off of something that appeared to have once been a clock. Arrikanez, his guardian, was nowhere to be seen, but he was probably just in another part of the park. Arri wouldn't leave Seb alone for too long.
"Bloody screw..." Sebastian swore, trying harder to get it to come off the little peg it was currently holding tightly to. "Bloody, useless, screw!"
He gave it another hard tug in the right direction and, as if in retaliation, it few off the peg, and landed somewhere in the grass nearby. Sighing, Seb got to his hands and knees, starting to look for it. That screw was a very important component of what he was trying to build. Losing it would require him taking apart another watch, and he only had a few spares in the first place.
"Really? You couldn't give me a break, screw? Really?"

Alison with lunch in hand had been in search of the perfect place to settle down. Unaware that she knew the teen struggling she watched. She wanted to approach and ask for help but that would give away that she had been watching. She gasped as the screw popped off and landed into the grass near by. It was actually almost comical but she refrained from laughing. Well, now she felt she had no choice but to make her presence known. It was after all obvious that he needed help. "Let me help you," Alison said as she came to kneel beside him. Having a fin made it awkward. But she did not have the proper undergarments to even consider shifting to have human legs. She was too caught up in looking to pay attention to the fact that she knew this teen.

Sebastian felt around for the screw quietly, until he received an offer for help. He nodded absently to the other who wished to aid him, and continued feeling around for the screw until his hand accidentally reached for the same place hers did. Recognition dawned on him almost instantly the minute he looked up at her. "... Alison? That's really you, Alison?"Slowly, he felt his features sliding into a smile. This was the girl he'd invited/forced to be at the very first party he'd ever thrown! That was a royal disaster.. but this was her, alright! He'd recognize that face anywhere. "Alison! It's you! God, it's been forever!"

In shock of having her hand touched, Alison pulled her hand away. When he said her named she blinked a couple of times. This person knew her. She finally looked up at him and giggled. "Sebastian!" She leaned forward and hugged him. "It has been forever!" She had enjoyed the party. To her she didn't ever realize it was dull. It had after all been the only party she had been to. What she did remember is that she was encouraged to be comfortable and be herself. She quickly pulled away and looked back down at the ground. "The screw should be right around here," she mumbled. She closed her eyes and pictured what she had watched. As she did she moved her hand around in the grass. "Here we go!" She said as she picked it up from the grass. She held out her hand and smiled. "Such tiny parts. You really should work on this on a blanket or something," she suggested. "I've got one in my bag. I was planning on eating lunch in the park. Would you like to join me?"

"Oh! I hadn't even noticed I hadn't eaten anything... Thank you very much for the offer. I'd be delighted." He smiled, and bowed his head quietly. "Especially with such a lovely lady." He took the screw from her hand, and studied it with a sigh. "I've been researching robotics.. such tiny parts seem to be part and parcel of such things. I'm planning on building a robot of some sort... I'm not even entirely sure what it will be yet... I'm sure I'll come up with something interesting."Sighing again, he pocketed the screw and leaned back. "Erm... my father doesn't even know I'm out here, really. He's sick in bed, so I decided I might give him some time alone for a while, to rest and recover. Also, I have chores I'm trying to get out of." He grinned. "And what brings you to the park today, aside from lunch?"

Alison put her hand on his, "I'm very sorry to hear about your father being sick." Even if she did not know how sick her friends father was her heart reached out to him because she knew how it was to have a family member who was sick. She had only recently dealt with her brothers sickness, his had been severe. "Delightful," she said as she opened her bag and pulled out a blanket. "I came to the park for lunch and nothing more." She grinned. "It is sunny and warm and a perfect day for a good book. Or, now since you are here for good company." She unfolded the blanket and spread it out. After straightening her hat she sat down and pulled out lunch. "Robots?" To her knowledge she had never seen a real one. A picture or two yes. But that was a lot different she was sure. "How tall is a robot? How much do they weigh?" She asked her questions curiously. Books could give details but sometimes it was hard to imagine things without a picture.

"My father gets sick a lot." Sebastian said, uncrossing his legs, and moving them to the side, leaning on his hand, and moving over his book so that Alison could be there if she wanted. "It has something to do with what he does, or is, or.... Well..." He eyed her, and noticed she looked genuinely concerned. "He'll be okay. It's probably just something like a cold." a smile. When she asked about robots, however... That was a subject he knew a LOT about. Or at least thought he did. "Robots can be as tall as you want, and weigh as much or as little as you want, too! You can build them out of virtually anything that can be molded, but metals are the most common. Things like this little screw here..." He took the screw out of his pocket, and held it up. "Can be VITAL to robots - each little bit does something. They're both extremely fragile and extremely strong, and some run off steam, others run off oil, or heat.... and there are even some newer ones that run off their own motion!"

Alison scooted a little closer to Sebastian. She wanted to be close to him but at the same time she didn't want to be on top of him. Leaning on her hand for support. Her fin was hanging off the edge of the blanket. She watched intently as he pulled the screw out of his pocket. There was a wonderment in her eyes as she listened to him talk about robots. "So if built it could fit in the palm of my hand." She lifted her free hand and tried to imagine it. "This all sounds really fascinating. You're smart." His smarts almost made her feel a little dumb. The things she knew did not have anything to do with robots or science. What she knew was practical stuff like how to cook and raise a family.

"If someone built one that small, then yeah! It could fit into the palm of your hand, or your lap, or it could be big enough to carry you if you wanted." He grinned, and bit, and pocketed the screw again. He actually flushed a bit with pride when she called him smart - but didn't... really say anything. he knew he was smart, and he was learning that there was no need to actually rub it in. "So, umm.... How have you been? What's been going on? I haven't seen you or your brother in a while... You know..." He thought for a moment. Arri had said something the other day, about going on a trip. Surely, it would be more fun with more than just them! Logic. "... Dad is planning a trip in a bit, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you went along. Your whole family, even. We could use it as a chance to catch up, see the sights, you know - all of that."

Alison's bubbly expression suddenly vanished at the mention of her brother and family. She looked down at her lap and sighed. It was a really hard topic to talk about. She picked at the edges of her dress as she thought of how to begin. "That fiasco a few weeks back around here took a huge toll on my family," she finally said. "More specifically my brother and my sister Alex. Auden got deathly sick with the nightmare virus. He's different now. Physically and mentally. And, Alex she volunteered to help out when going to confront Tox. She didn't get as sick but when you fight something in you changes." She used the back of her hand to wipe away the tears that were collecting. Her face brightened a little at the mention of his dad planing a trip and being them being invited. "I would love to go." She didn't realize that she'd only mentioned herself. "We couldn't impose like that. But, thank you." Alison really wanted to go and she wanted to go by herself. Lately she was wanting to be more and more with her friends than with her family.

Seb noticed, and took into account, that she hadn't mentioned her family. That was okay with him. He liked Auden and all, but he really wasn't sure of the others. And she'd said Auden had changed? Possibly not for the better, if he read the signs right. He leaned over a bit, and put his hand over hers.
"Hey now... it's okay." he murmured. "Whatever worries you.... you can... tell me, you know. We may not have seen each other in a long time, but... I'm not someone who's going to go out of his way to hurt you..."
He gave her a soft smile, and changed the subject, his hand still on top of hers. "But I'll tell dad you're coming with us. It's going to be awesome. We're going camping for a couple of days, then staying at this fancy hotel... there's a waterpark, an amusement park, and a Zoo where we're going, so... it should be a great time! I personally look forward to swimming. I... erm...."
Pausing here, he rubbed the back of his neck with his free hand, and blushed. "Don't... know how to swim..."

Alison felt flutters in her stomach when he put his hand on top of hers. Despite the undesirable feeling it also felt very comforting. It was as if nothing else mattered. It was just them. She turned her hand just so, so that her fingers could slip between his. She could feel the heat in her cheeks as she held his hand. "Thank you." She smiled timidly as she looked into his eyes. "I'd just rather focus on the now for now. This is a very nice change." Other than her time spent with Eidel and an occasional trip or two out she spent her time with family. The last thing she wanted was to drag her family into today. Right now was perfect. She felt this fluttery feeling and while she had an idea what that feeling was she was not sure if she wanted to admit it. "If you're sure," she grinned. She was actually very excited about going on a trip with him and his dad. "I haven't been camping before. Is sleeping outside fun?" Her eyes suddenly went large as she thought of something entirely silly. "Are we going to share a tent?" Her face was bright red and there was no hiding it. She suddenly felt very conscious of her body. "I mean, mean, if I, I had to I could. I, I would love to share a tent with you." She found herself stuttering. She didn't want to loose this opportunity to go with him. If she had to share a tent she would. She drew in a deep breath and sighed relief when he started to talk of the rest of the trip. He was going on about a lot of things that she wanted to do but had never done. "It sounds like so much fun. I can hardly wait." Then she heard the part of him not knowing how to swim. "Don't fret." She entirely changed. No longer embarrassed. She tapped him on the nose. "I can teach you." She flipped the end of her fin and giggled.

Sebastian outright laughed about her worries over 'having to share a tent'. But it wasn't a mean one - just amused.
"I wouldn't have to worry about sharing a tent, considering we're going to be in a mobile home the size of most semi-trucks." he said, grinning. "My dad is buying one, and this is the chance to test it out. If we DO end up literally sleeping outside, I know for a fact we have like... six or seven tents. All of them pretty good size. I'm sure at least three of them are serviceable." He smiled again.
And when she mentioned teaching him to swim, his mind automatically went somewhere it had no place in going. He was more confused by the image than anything, but the bright flush that crossed his cheeks was like a roadmap to where his thoughts were travelling.
"I... uh... I.... I'd... like that. If you... taught me." he said, rubbing the back of his neck again. Seemed to be a nervous habit. "I'm a really good pupil! I learn quick, and you can show me how to move your body in the water.... MY body. MY body. Move MY body in the water."
... What was wrong with his tongue today?

Alison was a mix of emotions. She was relieved and feeling silly at the fact of thinking that there would be only one tent. One means of a sleeping arrangement. She should have known better. Parents usually thought of EVERYTHING! Know she was even more excited than before.
"This Semi-Truck and Mobile Home are they robots also?" Feeling a bit unknowledgeable in this area made her blush. She had read about these types of things but never understood them. She knew know that Sebastian was the person she could inquire and learn from. "If you don't count the stove and fridge, the most advanced thing we have is a TV. It picks up one station. It is really fuzzy. Our mom would rather us not rely on such things."
She set that all aside when he went back to talking about swimming. She saw his face. His face was as red as hers. He was so cute when he expressed emotion. She wanted to reach out and touch him but hesitated. She didn't want to come off as too forward.
Her eyes went wide at the mention of the way her body moved. Her mind went immediately to an explicit manga she had picked up. The explicitness was entirely a mistake. She had just wanted something new to read that was romance. She had yet to learn how to navigate through the manga section. Not that she would admit it but once she had started she couldn't put it down.
She picked up on the awkwardness and how embarrassed he felt. "I'd like to see the way your body moves," she squeaked. She was hoping that if she said it it would ease him. She really did want to see the way he moved. Just thinking that way made her blush even more than she already was. If she kept this up she was sure that this red would become permanent.
"It sure is hot today," she fanned herself. "So hot. You know there is a pool around the corner. We could go and I could start teaching you how to swim." After she said it she realized how much worse this made the situation. When had she started to think like this. Sebastian was making her feel all sorts of emotions she was not familiar with.

"It is.. rather hot today." Sebastian said in almost a squeak. Although what he didn't mention was that it was now twice as hot as it had been when he was wrestling with the screw. "I... wouldn't mind that. I'd have to go back home and get my dad's swimtrunks... I don't have any of my own, but would... you... would you wait... for me? To get back?" He looked down for a moment, then made the mistake of looking up, into her eyes. His blush intensified, and for some reason, his heart started to pound like it wanted out of his chest.
"I'll... j-just be a couple.. minutes. I live like..." He pointed somewhere toward the street near the park, without even really looking. "Down the street... down there... Not far."
