Ophelia's father was a member of the Scouting Legion, when he met her mother, an herbalist and the two married. Ophelia's mother died in childbirth and her father, who had been away on business, never returned. He was assumed dead by the Legion and she had to have been raised by her grandmother Willow. Ophelia's grandmother was also an herbalist, and opened a shop for medicinal herbs and home remedies. Ophelia grew up working with her grandmother and learning all she could from the elder woman. She spent a lot of her time fussing in the wilds, picking and planting herbs and flowers. She's even have the displeasure to touch poison ivy, when she was just six. When she was eight, her grandmother's shop had prospered so well the two moved from the Karanese district to Stohess. There her grandmother opened a newer bigger shop and the two lived inside.

Ophelia had been bullied often because of where she used to live, and kids often picked on her for not having the nicest clothes, or because she wasn't so pretty. They made fun of her because she had no parents and was being raised by her grandmother. Never taking crap from anyone Ophelia fought bullies back and thought she would always stand up to those who belittled other. One day she found a bunch of kids teasing a boy her age, ripping pages from his book and fought them off, scaring them away. From then on, she became good friends with the boy, whose name was Parker. Parker was from a more privileged family, but that never stopped the two from getting close and becoming the best of friends.

Her grandmother passed away when Ophelia turned sixteen. It was a difficult time for her, but with Parker by her side, she was able to move on. She began selling flowers she grew on the streets, and used the shop to stay in. Parker wanted to join the Scouting Legion when he turned seventeen. His family did not support his decision but Ophelia remained by his side. She supported him and wished him the best of luck, leaving him with her grandmothers necklace. She made him promise to return it before he left. Despite her support, she was frightened. She didn't want to lose him. He was all she had left in the world. Without him, she was alone, and she didn't want to suffer another loss.

Two years had gone by and she waited patiently for Parker to return to her. She spent her time studying more on medicine, by the time Parker returned she was shocked to have seen him without a leg. She remained by his side never leaving him until he had recovered and gotten his new artificial leg. She decided to reopen her grandmother's shop as a clinic, to help patients and sell medicinal herbs and home remedies. She became Parker's nurse and allowed him to stay upstairs with her in her Grandmother's old bedroom.

To this day she is still in practice, and a midwife in training.
