It was quiet.
Awfully quiet.
Not even the breathing from each sleeping figure could be heard, and if one of them had been awake, the thought of it would’ve been frightening. Not only because it was quiet, but the atmosphere itself was not that of a room filled with new life.
It was the complete opposite.
There was some sort of dark mist lurking around the nursery’s floor, under the beds, behind the furniture. Mist that slowly, quietly came together to create a figure made from nothing but shadows. It moved swiftly, rather slowly, and as it hovered over each sleeping figure, it also happened to blow candles as it passed by, the previously dim-lit room slowly surrendering itself to complete darkness.
A few curious eyes happened to open up once the room was pitch black, too frightened to actually move and protest. There was a dripping sound that seemed to last for an eternity, and the dripping sound alone was everything that could be heard across the nursery until the ground shook.
The unreachable ceiling disappeared, and so did the walls, slowly dissolving into dust. The beds were no longer beds, abruptly changing and deciding to grow branches. While most sprites were awake by now and managed to move away from their beds, there were a few that happened to be heavy sleepers and, by the time they opened their eyes, they were on top of the tallest of trees.
Trees that were later dripping crimson sap.
Some sprites moved left. Some others decided to move right. Some cried, some were brave enough to stand up and calm the others down. It hadn’t actually mattered until the forest became so dense between both directions that the groups were split over nothing but a simple decision consisting of whether they’d chosen to move left or whether they’d decided to jump right.
Akira had been one to move left. So it had been the case with Linnaeus, Xilles and Edelweiss.
Sorrel, Fjorgyn, Tomiko, Hajna and Altair, on the other hand, had moved right.
The little groups huddled together, questions and despair rising the more seconds passed—until it was all drowned out by realization. The dripping sound that had been haunting them before the nursery was turned into a forest had carried on, crimson droplets falling from tree leaves towards the ground, creating darkened pools.
And from those pools, it was as if a hand had dipped itself and then dragged out, creating words using fingertips and messed letters.
“Let us begin.”
The game has finally begun!
The seven sprites listed below have been divided into two groups, group A (Akira, Linnaeus, Xilles and Edelweiss) and group B (Sorrel, Fjorgyn, Tomiko, Hajna and Altair). Both teams must find their way out of the forest as soon as possible.
Each sprite will be facing a series of puzzles, if the sprite fails to answer correctly, he or she will die. The puzzles can (and should) be discussed and solved in teams.
Prizes will be awarded according to how much you lasted in the game! There's a total of four available rewards.
The rules are simple:
- Deaths will only take place in-game. If your character dies in the meta, he or she won't die in the "real world".
- Each crew must roleplay only in their own topic.
- No godmodding, please!
- Characters who have died can no longer participate in the meta, meaning they can't discuss puzzles with their team anymore.
- This mule account will be roleplaying with both teams.
Tips:
- Think outside the box! There's a special little prize for that special little sprite that can solve the one big puzzle involved in the event. More hints about this might be given further on.
- I'll try to make puzzles challenging, but not impossible. Remember that your responses should have valid arguments.
- Try not to kill your fellow crew members-- Two heads are better than none!
- What sort of things can you find in a forest? Don't be afraid to get creative~

The nursery seems dimmer than usual,
few things I manage to see,
far away, in the distance,
only shadows appear before me.
My fingers caress gelid wind,
my eyes skim through blurry lights,
my feet, I can't find them in the mud,
my voice, I can't hear it in the dark.
It seems like a nasty little nightmare has just misused his powers
and has transformed our lovely nursery into a spooky forest!
This bizarre and dim woodland, full of strange sounds and shadows,
is an awful place to be in-- you might want to find a way out as soon as possible!
This is a gore and puzzles-driven rp, meaning your young sprites will have to
put on their little deerstalkers and pipes and get ready for some thinking unless they want to get killed!
Deaths will not be real, so don't worry about your character dying forever~
