Toren and Amaranth originally planned to meet a friend of Toren's from the mysterious Kalos region at Vermillion Port, unfortunately that friend never showed and they then set out to search for the friend on the S.S. Anne, which they traveled to Kanto on. Their luck took a turn for the worse when the ship set off for the Kalos region with them still on it, and the friend nowhere in sight. Things would only go downhill from there as Amaranth, a former experiment of Ein of Team Cipher, was spotted and recognized by a Cipher Peon aboard the S.S. Anne.
Now the pair are cornered by a gang of Cipher Peons on the S.S. Anne, bent on capturing Amaranth, with the girl Shadow Tagged, preventing her escape. Fortunately, Toren contacted GRAY who has sent a message for all available Snagems to report to the main area of HQ to be teleported to the S.S. Anne by the resident Claydol in order to help Toren and Amaranth escape capture.

As Toren and Amaranth released their Pokemon the enemy would attack. The Absol would lung at Togekiss with a Night Slash as its horn gave off a dark aura. Hitmonchan, the punching fiend, would fly at Durant with a Mach Punch, becoming little more than a blur. The psychic duck, Golduck, would stay behind and unleash a Flash against the Snagem Pokemon to blind them, its allies unaffected as the flash came from behind. As for the Pinsir it would target Amaranth herself, rushing forward to ensnare her in its pincers and pull her away. The Wobbuffet of course stayed out of it to ensure its Shadow Tag held.
Toren and Amaranth really needed help if they were to get out of this in one piece.

It left me to wonder what on earth could Cipher wanted with a cruise ship. Haven't this ship been through enough? Really? Rockets already had their way with this ship one time before, and let's not get started on the whole "Mew at the truck" rumor fiasco. I started from the front deck and made my way through the innards of the ship. If Amaranth and Toren really was in deep, it'd best not to wait.

The irony of he who appeared at Vermillion port was the simple fact that he was the most human and yet the farthest from normal in the group. "Who are we helping again?" Kaya asked as he knelt and scratched Josephine's head, having left Tessarrae with Odd and Lykas for the time being. The Eevee cooed softly as she snuggled into her master's scratching, though she remained alert for strange noises.

Aloe hadn't even been inside the hideout for a full minute before he was teleported to his next mission. He'd only gotten out of the hospital a couple days before and yet he was already onto his next life threatening assignment. Well at least he had back-up this time, though one of them was just as much in danger as Aloe was. Sending a fire-type on a cruise ship surrounded by nothing but water probably wasn't the best idea. Sure Hina was still able to fight and everything, but one wrong move and she could have ended up taking a dirt nap under the sea. "Hina...Do you-" He cut off when he saw her running off somewhere. As she did this, she was yelling at both Aloe and Natsu for them to hurry up. Her brief period of kindness was finally over. But Aloe was even more focused on the fact that Hina wasn't showing the least bit of fear for the water. Maybe she just didn't care that her life was in danger. That or she just didn't realize it. "If she's okay with it..." Aloe thought. Following Hina, Aloe slid to a stop when he found out just what had ended up drawing her attention. There was a whole fight going on the middle of the ship. While Aloe thought nothing of it, his Pokemon thought differently. Hina was only drawn to the fight because she wanted to consume the soul of whoever lost the battle. It had been a while since her last meal and she was feeling a little hungry. Natsu, on the other hand, had an even worse reason. He wanted to get directly involved with the battle. So, without a warning of any kind, the Tyrogue jumped right into the field of battle. Jumping at the first one it saw, Natsu tried to tackle the stronger Pinsir to the ground.

Kaya was quickly drawn to the source of the call he'd received thanks to a combination of Josephine being obnoxiously persistent when she heard noise and the use of Nigel's sensitive ears. His arrival at the scene was heralded, not by the flash of light that accompanied teleportation but by blades of white wind slicing through the air towards Golduck.
"Good aim, Primrose." Kaya's voice rang out as he and his Leavanny appeared just after Golduck's Flash had ended. The mantis-like Pokemon's Razor Wind should be enough to throw the pseudo-Psychic off-kilter even if it didn't do much outright damage.

The Togekiss' first thoughts were to defend herself, bracing her body as the Night Slash hit. It did, however, allow Flareon a chance to rush in with Flame Charge, hoping to blindside the assaulting Absol. It was the most they'd manage before the Flash blinded them, and even Amaranth squinted her eyes shut at the sudden action.
The blinding kept her from seeing the Pinsir as it approached, and she soon found herself caught in a pair of pincers that threatened to snap her in two. Despite not knowing exactly where the source of it was, Amaranth's response was to start flinging Will-O-Wisps every which way in a panic. Whatever it was, she wanted it off. An escape method would just be a nice bonus.

A secondary Teleport would ignite the room with pink light as the transported person decided to strike a flashy pose that placed a great deal of weight onto one leg. Two separate flashes would appear as a Houndour and a Toxicroak appeared, the two Pokemon darting off in pursuit of targets. Yin, the Toxicroak, settled on a duel of martial arts with the Hitmonchan, launching a Poison Jab for when it ended up at the Durant's position. Ezekiel, the Houndour, however, chose a much more open target. The Wobbufett would be put into peril as a pair of Dark chi enhanced fangs closed to deliver a deadly Crunch. Over with the figure, now revealed to be a man with a littler girl on his back, the awkward pose he decided upon for artistic purposes gave way as his injured leg finally protested against it. Cleaning themselves from the pileup before wincing at the ruined good entrance, Leslie and Reno looked to Kaiden for some help. The Kadabra who teleported them in sighed before firing off a Psychic attack at the Pinsir to rip it away from Amaranth and slam it into the nearest solid surface that wasn't friendly.

"Agh! Harsh, yo!" Toren shouted as the Flash temporarily blinded him, uncertain of his Durant's fate, which wasn't favorable. The Hitmonchan would connect with the Durant with ease, sending it flying backwards, the small Steel type putting a dent in the wall it had collided with. "Ama, you okay!?" Toren shouted, unsure of what was going on, all he knew was that things suddenly got crazy and he had no idea what to do about it.
The Hitmonchan was quick on its feet, and took note of the incoming Toxicroak. As Fighting types usually did, he accepted the Toxicroak's challenge, meeting its Poison Jab with a Fire Punch.
The Pinsir would be in worse shape, while it got a hold of Amaranth it didn't get to pull her away or snap the girl in two. Her Will-o-Wisps wouldn't hit the bug, but it did make it let go, which was the perfect opportunity for Natsu the Tyrogue to Tackle it away, which Kaiden the Kadabra would then grab in midair, slamming the beetle against a wall. The combo would be devastating for the Pinsir, but it would soon recover and set its sights on the Kadabra, suddenly disappearing and reappearing behind the Psychic type as it attempted to clamp it with Dark type empowered pincers, it was Faint Attack.
Absol might have hit but its success was with a price as Flareon rammed into it with the Flame Charge, sending the beast skidding backwards. Now angry about being hit, the Dark type needed something to take it out on. And what better than the Ghost in the room, Aloe. The Absol would attempt to strike down the Ghost with a Night Slash as it ran towards it.
The duck's Flash went off without a hitch, but what happened next wasn't as perfect as it was blown away by the slicing wind. Like its ally, it was now out for revenge, but knew to pick its fights carefully. Its owner knew what their true target was, Amaranth, so instead of focusing on fighting the Golduck would focus on the girl, its gem glowing as Amaranth was snatched up into the air with Telekinesis.
As for Wobbuffet, it could handle its self for the time being as it would obviously fight back with a Counter attack. What else could be expected?
"The experiment belongs to Cipher!" The silver clad Cipher Peon shouted as he took out what appeared to be a gun, firing the device at Amaranth. The energy that came from it had the appearance of an Ice Beam, but was colored a dark purple. No one could be sure what it was, but it couldn't be good if Cipher was using it.

My instincts tripped suddenly, perking up. There was fighting happening? Now? "Son of a...Telia, stay close." I said to her.
"Voir?"
"Blast it, crap is going on everywhere." I said. "I can't tell which way to go on this ship. Can you find where Toren and Amaranth is?" Telia started to try to focus all she could, but it was starting to get a bit hard. "Never mind, Telia, that might take too long. Come on. Let's go."

Feeling the grip from Pinsir loosen, Amaranth thought maybe she'd be able to keep her distance if nothing else. Unfortunately, two things happened then. First, she'd be hurled into the air, her remaining chance of movement ripped away in an instant. Then, the beam that was on its way to her, with no way of dodging it whatsoever.
Her Flareon was able to recover from the Flash, as was Togekiss, but not enough to do anything about the shot now that it had been fired. In an effort to at least make that the only shot that would be fired, Flareon darted at the peon with a Quick Attack while Togekiss tried to take the oncoming shot in Amaranth's stead, a protective aura forming to be ready for just that.
Unfortunately, those efforts would prove futile; Togekiss wasn't able to get close enough for Plan A to be of use, the shot landing its mark and the aura simply fading as nothing hit it. To say it was painful was an understatement, the pained scream ringing through the immediate area. No amount of bracing would've helped Amaranth, but Togekiss might've indeed been capable of giving death glares after all. Without a second thought, wind would begin to kick up before a slicing gale blew through, the Air Slash giving little care between ally or foe.

"Sorry I'm late," came the voice of Sir Chaos Deathrage as he and the now-Blaziken Warbringer stood amidst the Chi-leavings of Claydol's Teleport, which it aimed three feet behind Toren at Chaos's behest. "Personal stuff. Who we up against?""

Reno dove at Amaranth as the shot connected, pushing out of the beam to instead take the remainder of the blast himself. The screaming pain that occurred from said beam had words with this idea but Remo held strong, a high pitches scream ringing out from him.
His ability to move her would become clear as the area behind had new occupants. Harleen would be dancing in front of the Wobbufett, demanding an Encore of the Counter as the Houndour opened up with a Flamethrower. The other new arrival, Mauri, chose a different target as she drove a vicious Drill Peck towards the Pinsir, who had sent Kaiden flying back a few feet and winded the Psychic type.
Bouncing away from the Fire Punch, the Toxicroak literally spat in the Hitmonchan's face with a Sludge Bomb. At this point, Reno about to tackle Amaranth, the Golduck suspending her would receive a slight sense of imminent danger via the blast of Psychic about to send it spinning on its heels.

Perhaps now would be a good time for the team's resident Ghost Master-in-training to appear? Regardless, Odd appeared on the ship with Lykas thanks to the latter's Gardevoir, Mykel. "Go on and see how you can help, I think I have an idea....." Odd said as he hung back. As soon as Lykas had left, he began to search his memories.
"Looks like it's time for a little rescue action, don't you think?" Lykas would say as he appeared to aid in said rescue mission. Deciding that he would focus on the one creature it seemed was being ignored, Lykas' eyes glowed bright as he laid a Hex upon Wobbuffet, hoping the rather limited creature would play into his plan.
"Prim, fall back. Let's go Anael." Kaya called out, recalling his Marill and releasing his Togepi in his place as his eldest partner returned to his side. He wanted his other Pokemon to fight by his side rather than always relying on Primrose, after all. "Anael, Metronome! The little Togepi began to swing her arms back and forth like an upside-down pendulum, her hands glowing white with power. After several ticks, she stopped and her hands turned pure black before liquid darkness boiled out of her hands and pooled beneath her. The Normal-type cackled in an adorable tone that might have been sinister had she known what she was doing before she began to splash about, sending rippled through the liquid black before they turned into shockwaves that spread out from her in all directions, the Night Daze she'd conjured up out of control and aimed at nothing and, yet, everything. Kaya crossed his arms in defense along with Primrose, attempting to guard themselves against the impending attack, hoping this would end up helpful rather than becoming a shotgun blast to the face for him.
