These labs are usually used by Dr. Henry McCoy and other medically-trained mansion staff. RALPH, the holographic doctor is also installed in the lower-level Medical Lab in the event that Dr. McCoy or another member of the medical team is unavailable. When Team Marvel stripped the Mansion of its technology. Dr. McCoy had to reinstall it all, making a few modifications along the way. His own personal lab and the medical lab are now equipped with tele-immersive displays.

Cheng "Han" Yakhimorro ~ Soul Han rushed through the portal, even though it was a simple step. The moment he was safe on the other side, it closed.
"Hello," he shouted as he found a medical bed to put Kali on.
A large blue man hurried in from the back office. His goggles were on his head, Han would have laughed, because they made his eyes look much bigger, except for the matter that brought him here.
"She needs help," he said pointing to the unconscious red head.
"Oh, dear," Dr. McCoy said said as he quickly took off his goggles and proceeded to do a quick vital check. "What happened?"
"We were eating," Han began, looking worried. "She had a salad....She started to look pale, kinda sick. She got up to get a drink of water before I could stop her. She seemed fine and then she just fell."
Hank nodded and flipped a switch. "RALPH, I need you to check her for a concussion, see what could have caused her to black out."
"Yes, Doctor," the mechanical voice said, followed by a series of beeps.
The large, blue man grabbed a few bandages, thread and needle and went to work.
Han didn't say anything. He watched as Dr. McCoy cut the wet bandages off of the girl's bleeding side, restitched what looked like a stab wound and re bandaged her side and arm.

Kali Zane ~ Ember Determination that is incorruptible From the other side a terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Kali lay still as Dr. McCoy and RALPH went to work trying to figure out what might have caused her to black out. Dr. McCoy was aware of her wounds and redressed them. He hadn't cared for her before, but she was the only new face and Jean had gone over Kali's file with him, as short as it was.
It turns out that there wasn't much that anyone knew about her.
Fifteen minutes passed and the large blue man was studying images of her brain for a concussion.
Kali's mind began to emerge from the darkness and she bolted into a sitting position. Dr. McCoy was quick to her side and tried to ease her back, telling her that she would tear her stitches again.
"I told you, I was fine," she glowered at Han. "I don't need your medics to fix me. I'm fine," she said turning to Dr. McCoy. She knew who he was, she had read his file. She had memorized his file. "What are you supposed to be? A Blue Ape? I didn't hit my head that hard."
"My dear," the large blue man said, sounding offended. "I am Doctor Hank..."
"McCoy," Kali finished. "I know. I'm leaving."
"But we aren't sure why you blacked out," Dr. McCoy said.
"You aren't testing me," Kali said as she jumped down from the bed and turned on the doctor, with a threat in her, now flaming eyes. "Touch me and I'll hurt you. Test me and I'll kill you." They were words of promise.
"You don't need to know why I blacked out," she said. "It happens sometimes, but I'm fine."
Her flaming eyes turned on Han. She was not happy with her tour guide. "I could have skipped this on our tour. So why don't you use your portal and get us back? Or do I have to make my own way out of here?"

Cheng "Han" Yakhimorro ~ Soul Han suddenly saw a side of Kali, the side that had been aching to get out, he saw it. She was scary. He could only guess that she had been tested, before, by how she reacted to Dr. McCoy.
When Kali's eyes turned to flame, Han jumped back. That wasn't something that he was expecting. No one had told him that he was working with a pyro who may or may not be under control. He thought that would have been an important detail to include, it wasn't like Xavier didn't have access to his mind. A warning would have been nice. It wouldn't have changed anything, except the element of surprise.
"Is she okay to go," Han asked Dr. McCoy.
The large, blue, fury man shrugged, with wide eyes. It took a lot to surprise the good doctor and what Kali did was surprising. "You want to try and keep her here? Be my guest. Otherwise, just keep an eye on things." The doctor turned to Kali. "I would like to see you, again, soon. There are a couple things that you and I need to discuss so that I know what is normal for your body and what is not. Every mutant is different and in order to treat you properly, if the case should arise, I need to know. "
Han walked to the wall and pushed on it with his right hand. A dark purpleish blue hole formed and on the other side was the kitchen. "I'll keep an eye on her," Han promised. "Ready when you are, Kali."

Kali Zane ~ Ember Determination that is incorruptible From the other side a terror to behold Annihilation will be unavoidable Kali felt herself tense when Dr. McCoy expressed his wishes to see her agian. "Look, Doc," she said slowly and angrily. "I'm not coming back here. There is nothing wrong with me. My normal temperature is higher than most. That is all. You don't need blood, you don't need scans or whatever else your little heart desires." She stared at him through blurry, flame filled eyes. "Just forget that it is ever going to happen. The only way I come in here, is in a body bag, got it?"
Dr. McCoy didn't say anything. He didn't want to upset the girl anymore. He knew where boundaries were with mutants and sometimes they lost control.
Han opened the portal and Kali quickly stepped through, leaving Dr. McCoy to his own thoughts.

((Scott enters from the gym carrying Kali)) ╭ │ ╮ ─ ╋ ─ ╰ │ ╯ Scott walked into the medical ward with an unconscious Kali in his arms. He laid her on the nearest hospital bed and went to find Hank, who had just walked in from his office in the back.
"Hank," Scott called and nodded at the red-head on the bed. "We aren't sure what happened. Alex says that she seemed fine before she collapsed. She yelled out, just before she did."
Hank nodded and set to work, checking the girl's vitals first, not that he knew what was normal or not. "RALPH, try that scan again...before she wakes up," Hank said remembering her promise from earlier. "She came in earlier, with the same problem, but left before we could find out."
Scott looked worried. It wasn't good that this should happen twice in one day, much less, at all. "I'm going to call Logan and Zero," Scott said. He glanced at Alex and then at the girl. He hoped that the two soldiers hadn't met her before.

╭ │ ╮ ─ ╋ ─ ╰ │ ╯ Scott walked to Hank's office, phone in hand, texting Logan and Zero the same message: "You are needed in the infirmary! Kali."
He knew that would be all that Logan needed. One mention of the girl's name and the man was almost ready to fight. But he didn't need the fight, he needed answers. If they did know her, they could maybe shed some light on the questions that needed answers. If they didn't know her, there would at least be extra muscle in case she woke up. Especially after Hank told Scott about the threats.
Scott wouldn't want to cross Hank, but the girl didn't seem afraid of much. She fought Logan without fear, she hid herself behind a wall of threats, anger and fearlessness, that he wondered if the person hiding behind all of that could be touched. Or was that who she really was?
He glanced out of the office and watched Hank run a quick scan of the girl while Alex comforted her. She was still out. For now, that was a good thing. Scott waited for Logan and Zero's response and appearance. Hank studied the computer with earnest. Spectacles on the edge of his nose as he searched for any answer to her collapsing.
Take your aim. Fire away. Fire away!

Has she gone crazy?" Zero, on the other hand, waited five minutes, then left with a stack of papers in his hand. He appeared just in time to hear Logan's yell. "Actually, that's a valid question, Scott. And where's your brother? I need to speak with him."

╭ │ ╮ ─ ╋ ─ ╰ │ ╯ Scott watched Hank until Logan rushed in with claws out. He raised an eyebrow at the claws but couldn't quite blame Logan.
He nodded in the direction of the red head, still out like a light, on the bed. "No," he said simply. "She collapsed in the gym." He glanced at Hank who was studying the scan that RALPH took of her, while she was out.
Scott winced at what she would do once she woke up, with what Hank said she promised before. He opened the medicine cabinet and took out a syringe and vial. "At least she hasn't gone crazy yet," he said as he noticed Zero walking in. "Alex is over there, but he mentioned that it seemed like you knew her. Two other things...I was wondering if you noticed anything before you left the gym. And she may have threatened Hank...earlier."
Better to have backup before all hell breaks loose...if it does.

╭ │ ╮ ─ ╋ ─ ╰ │ ╯ Scott studied Zero for a moment and turned his attention to Logan. "Apparenlty, she collapsed before and threatened to kill Hank if he ran tests," Scott winced, the pain in his shoulder was steadily increaseing, again. "Not the best idea and I doubt she would go far but, even injured...well, she fought you," Scott said, shaking his head.
Hank's eyes went wide at the screen, having found a possible cause of Kali's collapse. He punched a few buttons and watched a scan of her neural system and spine appear on the wall by Scott. "There appears to be a shard of metal or chip of some sort in her spine," the blue man said, clearly concerned. "Nerons send electrical signals through the body and if this is metal, it attracts the electricit. Too many signals, at once, could cause something like a high voltage shock, which could explain her cry of pain...the shock could have caused a black out." He studied the consicous faces, in the room. "I could take it out...but there is a high chance that it could paralyze her, at least temporarily..."
Scott studied the picture and listened to the good doctor. His eyes wandered to the red head and Alex. "Logan, how did your tests go," he asked. He wasn't sure what to make of everything. The girl certainly had problems but he had a feeling that the collapsing was not new to her. Neither was anything else.

⇢ frøm thε αshεs » A FIRE SHALL BEWOKEN « Kali lay still, with her eyes closed, listening to the conversation that the others were having. She had learned how to feign sleeping, after collapsing because she always ended up in the strangest of places. She heard Hank talk about the scan and the results. Her heart raced, and her chest began to quickly rise and fall with her breathing.
She sprang from the bed, jumped past Alex and was headed towards the nearest exit. She had to get out. She wouldn't let them cut her. She wouldn't let them see. She wouldn't let them paralyze her. Kali had told him not to run tests of any kind. But she new that as much as she wanted to kill him, there were other people in the room. She wondered what else he saw. She had to stop him from saying anything else, but more than anything, she had to get out of the infirmary!
She bolted towards the nearest exit.

Alex Summers jumped in surprise when Kali suddenly sprang up and ran for the exit. "Stop! Kali!!!" he yelled, just to warn the others, as he reached for her arm and missed.
Logan instantly unsheathed his claws and swiped at the girl, more of a reflex reaction, unconsciously going to knock her out. He knew that whatever it was, that chip wasn't good, and the furball had to remove it.
Zero, however, was the only one who was prepared. He grabbed the girl's arm, not trying to use any more force than necessary. "Where do you think you're going?"
