Name: Angel Aimless [Voss]

Nickname: Ain, Aim

Age: 20

Birthday: April 30th

Sign: Taurus

Gemstone: Emerald

Blood Type: AB+

Fav. Food: Biscuits and gravy, shepherd's pie.

Hated Food: Most mediterranean foods, anything not hearty and full of meat.

School: DCU

Hobbies:

Scholar of the Apocalypse - One of Ain's primary interests is the occult, from LHPs (Left Hand Paths) to various myths surrounding the end of days. She owns various books on such topics, some quite provocative, and has a surprisingly extensive knowledge bank on cults devoted to doomsday and other dark occultisms. She indulges in this peculiar hobby by spending hours researching on the internet, or in a more preferential means, visiting the library to look up various texts and see them for herself. She also visits the occasional occult shop, if only to examine the magically-oriented merchandise therein. Ain is always happy to address the topic with someone else, though she seldom finds a reason to incorporate it into daily conversation.

If asked, she may reveal that she is a member of the Temple of Set.

Haunted House Exploration - She grew up in a terribly haunted city - London, England. Within it, a host of ancient buildings harbored ghost stories that inspired avid curiosity and healthy trepidation. Knowing this, Ain began exploring such structures at the gutsy age of 13, and found that she feels quite exhilarated when presented with such circumstances as a dark room and an overactive imagination. She thrived off the eerie settings, and was quite enthralled with learning the stories of the dead who perished at that location. Now that she's older, she actively seeks out these haunted establishments to investigate them herself, and spend the night there to see if she encounters any unusual happenings. Oh, how she loves to drag along her best girlfriends for the fun. If anything, watching them squirm makes up for their maddening mannerisms.

Urban Painting - A glorified expression for graffiti. Angel has a talent for art, in aerosol cans and vertical surfaces. She entertains other methods of painting as well, but nothing beats urban wall art if she manages to obtain enough time to finish her work. She likes to utilize brick the most, for its strange texture and the style it lends to the finished product, but when the itch strikes... Why wait? Often times she'll ask someone to attend by watching for cops or holding her bag of spray cans while she hashes out an idea. This turns out surprisingly well for the accompanying individual - after getting all that semi-legal painting out of her system, she's apt to purchase coffee or lunch for the attending party. It's her method of winding down, of relieving stress while feeding into her fearlessness.

Kickboxing -- It initially started as just a workout routine. Great for cardio, Ain practiced it on a regular basis... Until one of her friends wanted to have a little tussle. Ever since, she became addicted to the contact sport aspects of kickboxing, and indulges through local venues. If there's a local gym that supports such activities, excellent - they have her membership for life, and anyone she seeks out that might have a chance at her in the ring. She typically won't go out and challenge anyone, but she will introduce any loose friends to kickboxing as an exercise routine before she asks them to step up her game. On the rare occasion that she does challenge someone, she prefers to invite men to try their hand at beating her.

Virtues:

Fearless -- Ain learned from a young age that there's a cut-off point for fear. Her father was kind enough to point it out in his typically strange fashion - she used to be terribly afraid of heights, until the day he took her to Seattle and introduced her to the Space Needle. After lying atop the slanted glass and panicking for a solid ten minutes, she slowly overcame her crippling fear of heights. Needless to say, her dad got punched for that one, but it developed into an excellent sense that she doesn't have to be afraid. Now she can camp out all the haunted scenes she pleases and she won't jump or cower at any strange noises, because they just don't phase her. Because of this, she became an excellent go-to person for squishing spiders, replacing a lightbulb on a ladder, and other mundane tasks that people may avoid due to fear, and she is happy to partake.

Easily Amused -- It's easy to coax a chuckle out of the Londoner. Ain will laugh at most jokes, ranging from the knock-knock variant to more legitimate stand-up routines. Though she's a little muted in her giggles, the mirth is fairly evident in her eyes. Anyone with even a gimped sense of humor would be able to extract a chuckle or two, and Ain is fine with this - the more witty remarks, the better. However, situational humor definitely applies as well - if someone ends up in an adverse situation that yields any kind of irony, Ain is laughing right along with them (or maybe not with them). It also extends to herself, should she end up in a situation that produces a similar kind of irony.

Objective -- Though she may laugh, Ain does not lose herself to a situation emotionally. She still retains a remarkably level head in any circumstance requiring action from her. It allows her to think her way through adverse events, like being stalked down an alley, without succumbing to the emotions it might elicit and ending up with a bludgeoned civilian on her hands who only intended to return the wallet she dropped. This extends to mediation purposes, if one of her friends asks her opinion of a boyfriend cheating. She's not one to sugar-coat or coddle said friend; rather, she will offer a variety of what she considers valid explanations that may shed some light on the man's actions. More often than not, she ends up thanked for some insight they missed due to heavy emotional investment.

Witty -- Ain has more than a few comebacks up her sleeve. Maybe it's from all the jokes and quips she's been privy to, but the girl has quite the quick wit in social situations. Sometimes she can make some incredibly clever jokes to her friends, in hopes of making them laugh. Other times she uses that very wit to defend them in verbal battles, when trying times call for it. Even still, that cleverness presents a boon to her friends as she uses it to help correct logic in constructive conversation. In turn, it highlights her as an excellent friend to go to when someone needs her help to defend themselves.

Flaws:

Cold -- Angel's not the type of girl to express any sort of warmth or physical connection toward other people. She won't hug someone, she won't express that she likes someone unless pressed for an answer, and she certainly won't give someone copious amounts of encouragement. Her kindness only extends to pet names conducive to her English upbringing, and maybe a "good job" here or there for excellent performance, and even those seem like they're more habit than actually meant. She will also refuse to acknowledge someone's feelings in anything other than an objective way, such as telling someone it's a terrible idea to crush on a man who's taken, and refuse to relate to the person talking about it. To put it simply - Angel is an ice queen, be careful about frostbite.

Flippant -- Due to her interest in all things humor and wit, it will appear as though Angel has no respect for authority. She will talk back to her teachers if it suits her, as well as any classmates that try to butt into the conversation. She'll also make not so serious remarks during some of the more boringly serious events in life, like someone getting married, or even a recital of Hamlet in the middle of drama class. Ain doesn't know when to quit, either - even if she's reprimanded for such poor behavior, she keeps at it with even more vigor than before. And to top it off, she doesn't see anything wrong with what she's doing, and won't apologize if she hurts anyone's feelings in behaving in such a manner.

Judgmental -- If someone dresses in provocative clothing, they're a slut. If someone stumbles over words while reading out of a book, they're stupid. If someone trips over their own shoelaces even once, they're clumsy. Angel is quick to judge, and even quicker to voice a quip over anything that leads to said judgments. She will judge her own friends, too - if one of her best girlfriends starts cheating on an exam, it won't matter what her reasoning amounts to; Angel will consider her far too gloriously stupid for the class. No one is safe from such damning character judgments on her part - even her own parents are prone to that vicious criticism, for some of the most arbitrary things. Mom dropped the blender again? Butterfingers. She shouldn't be allowed to handle any appliances anymore.

Brutal -- The frostbite to her ice queen. Sometimes she takes her own wittiness too far - she's not above making someone cry due to her words alone. In the kickboxing ring, she may exceed the amount of force necessary to subdue her opponent, and end up breaking a nose or worse injuries. It's not that she doesn't know her own strength, but that she gets swept up in those notions and terrible tragedies result. If she elicits an adverse reaction from someone due to that brutality, she will simply pass it off as the person being far too sensitive about such subjects. Either that, or they should've blocked better. Ain's brutality knows no bounds, and she's not ashamed of it either.

**Fuku was designed for eternal stage. Feel free to omit or abridge details for earlier stages.

Senshi: Astarte, Senshi of Malice

Challenge: Malice is always authentic and sincere. By Astarte, you will feel it in your bones.

Fuku Colour: White
Main Color: Crimson to orange gradient
Secondary Color: Ice blue (glowing accents)

**An example has appeared**

Fuku: Will be based off of notable demons, namely Baal and Astaroth.
Collar -- A sailor collar constructed of tigerlilies. Preferably a boa if possible.
Bow -- For the chest bow, I am hoping for a bow or sash composed of tigerlilies with chains as an overlay. Additionally a larger version would suffice for the butt bow, with the end of the chains sporting the large 'anchor' as depicted. Chains are capable of dragging on the ground.
Bodice -- Off-white (similar to an extremely pale skin tone). Should not extend upwards past the bust. There should be a black corset atop it, just beneath the bust.
Sleeves -- None.
Brooch -- Deep red with a glowing rune in the center.
Bottoms -- A red skirt with a black front flap extending from the corset itself, adorned with red designs like the green ones in the Astaroth picture and punctuated with separate tails with ice blue glowing runes. Should not drag on the ground.
Tiara -- Should look painted on in black runes, with a glowing blue jewel in the center.
Choker -- If necessary, a small chain like in the Baal picture.
Shoes -- Thigh high stilettos with lots of belts.
Gloves -- Similar to her boots (in that they've got a lot of belts), black with glowing ice blue runes dotting the underside of the arms.
Accessories -- A headband with ornamental demon horns.

Attacks:

Sailor Scout Attack: Astarte's Hate
Number of uses: 3
Duration: 3 seconds
Number of targets: Variable
Astarte holds her hand outward, palm facing the location of her intended target, and calls the name of her attack. The blue runes of her uniform glow red and a red ball of energy forms on her palm as it drains the malice from the people around her* to create the attack. From there fires a laser, about as thin as a pen, which she can aim by maneuvering her hand. It only lasts for a couple seconds, and works wonders in cutting through and dusting youma. On people, however, it only inflicts mild burns upon contact from the laser. If concentrated on a particular area, she is able to inflict a second degree burn, but she has to be terribly accurate and the individual needs to stand still**.
Weakness: Laser cannot penetrate solid objects. Interrupting the call of her attack will halt it entirely.

Super Sailor Scout Attack: Astarte's Sincerity in Spite
Number of uses: 3
Duration: 3 seconds
Number of targets: Variable
Astarte holds her hands outward, palms facing the location of her intended target, and calls the name of her attack. The blue runes of her uniform glow red and two red balls of energy form on her palms as she drains the malice from the people around her* to create the attack. From there fires two lasers, about as thin as a pen, which she can aim by maneuvering her hands. They only last for a couple seconds, and work wonders in cutting through and dusting youma. The lasers produce the same damage as her first stage attack, with slightly more pain**.
Weakness: Laser cannot penetrate solid objects. Interrupting the call of her attack will halt it entirely.

Eternal Sailor Attack: Astarte's Taste of the Evening Star
Number of uses: 2
Duration: 5 second buildup to the attack, actual laser strike lasts 3 seconds.
Number of targets: up to 5 directly hit.
Astarte calls the name of her attack, the runes on her uniform turn red, and a red light glows at her fingertip. She traces a star shape into the air and points at five different locations on the ground - from there forms the sigil of Astarte in a circle spanning three feet in diameter. Once all five spots are selected, the sigils glow to absorb malice from others* and out bursts a giant laser column toward the sky. Individuals caught in the blast suffer severe impact pain and burns, which could amount to bruised bones and second degree burns at best**. If someone is entirely inside the sigil when the laser bursts, then that person will be cast into the air from the blast. However, if only a body part is caught in the blast, then the person will be knocked a couple feet away from the laser. Afterward the sigils remain for a few seconds, with glowing red lines connecting their star shape.
Weakness: The sigils take a few seconds to form and blast upward, so any spatially aware target can step out of the range of the attack before it strikes. Interrupting her nullifies the attack. It is also capable of friendly fire, as well as hitting Astarte herself.

* Once collected, whoever the lasers strike receive a concentrated dose of malice. To clarify, the surrounding individuals feel less malicious due to the collection of the attack, and the target feels exponentially more malicious upon receiving the attack. Effectively, Astarte can redistribute the emotion depending on how she utilizes her magic.

** The attack's strength is variable depending on the amount of malice gathered from targets. If no one is feeling particularly murderous that day, her attack probably amounts to nothing more than a tickle. If she used her attack around a gaggle of bloodthirsty officers, then the strength reaches its maximum threshold as listed in the attack description (ie 2nd degree burns). In order to incur maximum damage with her laser attacks, Astarte requires a solid amount of malice as well as a still target for her to concentrate her laser on for the duration of the attack. For her eternal attack, she requires a solid amount of malice as well as a target in the dead center of the sigil.

it's a mix of both that and ragnarok, when skoll catches the chariot of the sun and thus the sun turns black, ending the world.

Hey dearie, Kao here to take a look at your lovely lady! Let's see if we can get her stamped shall we!

Civilian:

Her hobbies look good!

Virtues:

Witty currently reads more like a flaw than a virtue or rather something people could potentially really dislike her for. Seems like while it could be fun, it might lead to a lot of hurt feeling and feeling insult, even before she takes it too far.

Flaws:

Look good to me!

Powered:

For her Super attack, I would suggest lengthening her attack duration to 15 seconds so she at least has the same amount of time usage as her basic attack. Even with the added saliva bonus, it hinges entirely on whether she can bit them in that 10 seconds.

For her eternal attack I don't fully understand the mental decay thing, it is a bonus to the opponent. You get pummeled but after for five seconds they really want to kill you. Seems a little unnecessary and lessens chance of escape.

Also its preferred that you not utilize a tiara in an attack, she could certainly use her brooch though!

Quote me, when you are ready for a second look!

Hey Strick <3 I love the design you have here, but I did want to bring up some concerns you might want to consider before you get another round of crit on her!

Kaori already addressed some great things but I thought I might add a few ‘oldbie’/Player concerns too!

I see that she has Decay involved in her attacks, while I know the character isn't currently active I know Krys was thinking of returning - and she plays senshi of Decay. – her journal is Here - Sailor Nemisis – Senshi of Decay.

Sun (even though its only part of your name) is on the 'Locked' list - and may raise some concerns about being too 'related' to sun among players.

(Much like it would if you tried to quest for something like Lunar Eclipse...though that would be Nehelenia anyhow!)

Apocalypse, while it reads as an amazing sphere also could be easily tied to several of the -spheres- on the locked list - like Destruction, Supernova, Death, and Oblivion - While its awesome to see you didn't take it that way. Even knowing you didn't it might make some serious discomfort for people.

I can't recommend swapping her to an Eclipse senshi because there is one of those as well, his name is Alunite

Since she seems to have a lot of Lupine aspects to her clothes and her attacks that might be a direction you should shift instead!

Lots of people can quest for the same sphere after all; no one currently has wolves that I’m aware of.

You could also do senshi of ‘engulfment’, which would account for the swallowing aspect of her mythology. That would change the aspect of her attacks away from any threat of overlap, and potentially give you an attack, which would give additional horror to anyone who happened to be claustrophobic.

You could restrict movement as though they had been swallowed by something?

Just to help out I know it’s hard to find, but you can find the restricted list here!
X, which will help, make sure you don’t come too close! - I had to go looking for it myself, I was honestly not even sure it still existed!

You do come out with some fabulous bases and costume ideas, so I can’t wait to see where you go with this and how your feedback progresses!

Hey Strick! I'm sorry you've had to wait so long to get Angel stamped so here I am!

ON THE CIVILIAN SIDE:

All good here, really! She's a thorough and well-written character and I don't see any problems~

ON THE POWERED SIDE:

Just one thing, related to her draining malice from people around her to power her attacks - do the people drained from actually feel actively less malicious while the person/people who are hit feels moreso? This is a little unclear! Other than that, though, I think she looks good~

Quote me once you've made changes and I'll be back!
