Be careful if you make the decision to buy a Grab Bag. It seems to promise good items, but there is a great chance you will lose a lot of your gold. I spent 50k on a single Grab Bag and received an item worth only 10k. Also, I think the term "grab bag" may be misleading, as I have always been told a grab bag contains multiple items, not just one. (Yes, I understand there is some disagreement on the definition here, but it still is not my only problem with the item.)
Anyway, I just thought I'd warn you guys, in case you were considering buying one.

I have the worst luck. So, I do not bother with rigs.
Recolored wings are cute, though. But, I am still partial to the astra wings.

personally i only get the free grabs, like the gift boxes and old trunks that float around on screen sometimes. then after that I either sell them or open them depending on how much i can get for said unknown box

Well I'm not sure on the price of the item, but I got the grab bag and got this navy blue eye patch. I like it, though it may not be worth what I paid. TO be frank the gold items have gone down hill since the new cash system started up. Gaia's been more focused on that then their gold shop items and for those who are against spending real money for things we will never have for real, I find it kind of sad.

If I want a specific item from a rig, I'll buy it on the marketplace (if I can afford it). I'm not great with random/odds either, so I don't bother trying.

This is like for any chance item. Gold shop or not. It's a risk people are willing to take to get a specific items they want. People know by know that all CI's are a huge risk factor. I buy the items I want on the MP instead of lucking out on items I don't want or money I could use for something else.
