Forum rp like this tends to be a lot more in depth then chat based rps. In general, people will be expecting at least a paragraph per post, and 1 liners are highly frowned upon. You can even expect posts from some people reaching 5+ paragraphs. (I'm not one of those tho, yet)

However, I do have a question about the types of characters and backstories that are accepted, before I get too far into creating my character. I know that Ichigo was born from a shinigami father and a human mother. What about the reverse: a human father and a shinigami mother? thats something ill have to let allegra answer

Ayumi Hara Actually, I quite hate godmodding..-__- I try to make realistic characters. Rein is my room mate so I'll ask her a bit. However, I do have a question about the types of characters and backstories that are accepted, before I get too far into creating my character. I know that Ichigo was born from a shinigami father and a human mother. What about the reverse: a human father and a shinigami mother? Well to be honest, there was more to it than just his father being a Shinigami and his mother a human, (false btw) Ichigo's mother was a Quincy who became infected by a Hollow. Quincies are affected by hollows way more than anyone else. In order to save her, Ishin (Ichigo's dad) gave up his shinigami powers/all of his reiatsu to create a "barrier" or protective shell around her so that she could survive. This reiatsu was passed to Ichigo and thats what gave him his powers, all of them including the hollow, quincy and Shinigami powers. If you didn't already know, have both Shinigami and Quincy powers makes your Shinigami powers way weaker, resulting in a fake but much less powerful Zanpakuto. Also, Ishin got his powers back when Ichigo's mom died. What I recommend is talking your ideas over with one of the crew members or higher so that they can give you an idea on if your OC will be ok.

But what I had in mind was her mother gave birth to her in the living world, and she lives with her father. She has never met her mother, who returned to where she belongs. Since she is a noble, the incident is covered up and never spoken of again. The girl, Kotori, is more or less aware of her parentage, with a few details left out. She is in high school (around 17) when she is caught up in a fight between shinigami and hollow and becomes a casualty. From this point forward I'm not sure how to proceed.
