School: DCU, studying sports medicine
Hobbies:Fencing - Nisha is into sports in general, going through all manner of youth teams in her younger years before settling on fencing in particular. She attended Crystal Academy for high school on a scholarship for fencing, which she felt put her rather at the bottom of the totem pole in classes, but she turned her aggression to speed on the strip. Currently she competes for DCU, and is trying to decide whether to pursue it professionally with sports medicine as a back-up, or focus more on her studies and allow fencing to become a hobby instead.
Runway fashion - The crazier the better. She likes shopping as much as the next girl, but she loves seeing art to wear, particularly when it is novel and far out. Her class notes have long been filled with drawings of designs of her own, but Nisha has never pursued this as more than an idle hobby. Still, she follows runway show news when she can find it, and maintains collections of images of her favorite designs.
Slam poetry - It's a straightforward art form, like poetry in English except you can cuss and it doesn't have to rhyme if you don't want it to. Nisha loves attending open mic sessions both to read and to listen, because she loves the attention, and she also figures the most like-minded people will be out at the same events to express themselves with honesty and clever word-smithing.
Virtues:Steadfast - This girl stands by her morals and is not known to cave to simple peer pressure. She also sticks up for her friends, physically if necessary, even though she may not be the biggest or strongest person out there. And if a friend ever needs a couch to crash on or a bowl of ice cream to cry in, Nisha will be there, too.
Up Front - Nisha is a no-passive-aggression zone. She strongly believes that no one can fix what they don't know about, and so if she has a problem with someone, she will let that person know. This also means that her friends will be aware of her support for them. Lying is not unknown to her, but she does try to avoid doing so.
Independent - If nothing else, Nisha is confident about who she is. In spite of being stubborn, she is also not prone to talking stupid risks. She is also not looking for anyone to fulfill any particular role in her life, and considers it a mark of personal pride that she can get by at her age without needing a boyfriend. She calls her parents occasionally for help with adult obligations, but tries to avoid this, preferring in general to seek her own answers.
Flaws:Lazy - Nisha is decently intelligent, and learns well by doing in particular, but she has a lot of trouble with rote memorization. She scraped by in problem classes in high school with passing grades, but not without tutoring. As a result, now that she's in university and not required to pursue certain subjects anymore, the girl is not willing to bother trying. She harbors a particular hatred for mathematics because she can do the problems, but only if the test is open-note or she has a formula sheet. If something does not come easily to her, she is not willing to apply herself.
Rigid thinker - Her confidence in her own opinions makes Nisha reluctant to change them. She tends to be judgmental about people when she meets them, and is not often willing to take a chance on someone she thinks is too dissimilar from herself.
Indelicate - Nisha's fundamental flaw is that she has confused "freedom of expression" with "freedom to be a b***h". If she tells you that you look ugly in that skirt and you get upset, then clearly you just couldn't handle the truth. She will nearly always say exactly what she thinks because she can, and anyone who has a problem has something wrong on their end. That said, this does not represent a disrespect for authority figures necessarily - Nisha will step lightly around those she is afraid of, but if they ask for her opinion, she will definitely air whatever issues she has.
