Birds have an eyesight unmatched by any other species. Those eyes make certain that prey has nowhere to hide. Funny how the mouse always thinks it can escape the eagle's clutches, let alone that of the Nightingale.

It was a typical night for the new hero on the block; a rapist trying to escape her pursuit after stopping him from committing a crime. 'Fool.' The siren thought to herself. She has never lost a criminal yet. Tonight was not the night to start either. The man kept shouting for her to leave him alone as she pursued him from above the rooftops. A smirk crossed her face as he tripped over his own two feet. Taliana quickly took advantage of the situation and flipped down to his position. The blonde beauty landed gracefully on the ground below, her cerulean orbs cut like daggers towards the man. "What a pity. You thought you were gonna get away, hm?" Taliana sashayed over to the man before striking him cleanly across the face. Blood dripped from the man's mouth as he tried to speak again.

'Please stop! I'm sorry!'

"Sorry?!" Taliana's blood boiled the mere pardon for forgiveness. Her mouth opened wide and let out a deafening whistle noise. The man withered in agony as his ears swelled up. He clutched his stomach as the vibrations caused him to throw up. Feeling no remorse, Taliana kicked him in the abdomen with as much force as she could muster. She grabbed him by the collar of his leather jacket. "Isn't that what she asked you earlier?! To please stop? And what did you do, hm?" The siren began punching him repeatedly, using his collar to hold him in place. "I asked you a question. Answer me!" Taliana struck the man one final time before climbing on top of him, a pale white blade with a blue trim grasped tightly in her hand. She pressed the blade to his neck, threatening to end his feeble life right now.

'Please...I don't know why....why I did it.' The man shook as he spoke.

"Wrong answer, my love. I am now your judge, jury, and executioner." Taliana rraised the blade high in the air. The moonlight danced across the blade causing it to glimmer as she brought it down upon the criminal. In a flash, the blade was knocked from her hand. Another gripped her wrist tightly. The heroine looked up to see none other than Gotham's greatest hero: Batman.

"You know I hate having to do this, right? This is not how we operate." Batman stated with his dulsive tone.

Taliana gritted her teeth together as she stared at the dark knight. Why was he always keeping tabs on her? She couldn't carry out one single task without him knowing. She was surprised she couldn't piss in peace. "Do you know what this man did?" Taliana coyed as she looked back at the worthless rat beneath her claws. Batman never understood her, or how justice should work. Why let men like this continue to roam the earth, just so they can strike again?! Why not end their miserable lives now? Once you committed a crime, you gave up your right to be treated with mercy. Batman wanted to follow america's already corrupted judicial system for dealing with criminals. Most heroes would agree with him. Taliana was the bad apple though. Her methods were...unorthodox, to most. Which is exactly why she chooses to handle things on her own. If only she could get him to see it her way.

"It doesn't matter what he did. We don't kill unless necessary." Batman pulled Taliana off the man before tasing the criminal. The rapist passed out from the shock his body had received. Batman proceeded to handcuff him. "This is not how Dinah would have pursued justice."

Taliana rubber her wrist as Batman spoke to her. "But I'm not her, now am I?!" She spat. The nerve he had. Canary's methods may have been more hero appropriate but there was a new bird in town. Along with that came necessary changes. "Run along now bat, I can hand him to the authorities." Taliana stated. Her eyes laid on the man like tiger ready to feast.

"Not a chance. Head home Nightingale, before you make a decision your bound to regret." Batman spoke sternly to the girl. It was always hard dealing with her, because he knew her intentions were good. It was her execution that didn't sit well with him. He always questioned Dinah about what she saw in this girl. She always responded that she's a fighter, the type that the world needs.

"Fine. Don't crying to me when that man, or any of the others do something like this again. I'll just let all the criminals walk away from now on."That was a lie, but she said it to make a point. Taliana turned on her heels towards the wall and began scaling up the pipes of it. She stood upon the roof as she reached it. She slumped on the ground as she heard the cops in the alley way. Tears rolled down her face as she remembered the gang that broke into Dinah's home. Just imagine what could of happened if Dinah had been taken by surprise. Something like this could have happened to her. Somehow, in spite of Batman's apprehension of her, she knew Dinah was proud of her. Taliana only wanted to do good, but in a way that would allow her to sleep at night. Batman and the other heroes just needed to realize that she wasn't Black Canary, she was the Nightingale.

Are you a fan of the series, are you familiar with this character?: I am a huge fan of the DC universe, and Black Canary is a character I'm more than familiar with.

Do you promise to be as active as possible if we grant you this privilege?: Yes. With school starting up my activity is now hindered to maybe a few(2-3) posts throughout the day. Hopefully that will be enough to keep myself up to speed with everything going on with my character/storyline.

[Personal Information]
Occupation: Bar/Cafe Singer, Student, Vigilante

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Likes: Chocolate, Jazz Music, Heroism, Guys, Moonlight, Dancing, Athletics, Healthy Eating, Wine, Luxury.

Dreams: Dreams are funny in the sense that they change as a person develops new talents or gains new interests. Taliana is one of those few people whose had an idea of what her dream goal was, but fate dealt her a hand that would shift that goal. Originally an aspiring singer; the discovery of her power, and training from Black Canary sent her down the course of heroism. Although she still sings in bars/cafes, Talianas' goal is to forever protect the innocent from the corrupt nature of this world and make her mentor proud. Of course a man who can keep her tied down would be nice as well.

Dislikes: Overly sweet desserts, Scream-O, Reality T.V., Gang Violence, Cats, Spiders, Ignorance.

Fears: Taliana has one fear that seems to overwhelm her with a vengeance: Enclosed spaces. Her time in a strict Catholic Church proves to be the root of her claustrophobia. When she did wrong in the eyes of the priests, she was told to sit in an uncomfortable closet (the size of two high school lockers put together.) for hours. The experience of having to be in such a enclosed space for every little slip up would cause a phobia for anyone, especially because perfection was unattainable.

Darkest Secret: Her deepest secret works as her greatest strength, and well hidden weakness: Vanity. Taliana is very confident in her beauty and uses that to her advantage to get what she wants. Although it works in favor when swooning people or gaining trust, it also hinders her ability to actually connect with others. She is so concerned about her outward appearance to people that it becomes difficult to let them see her inner persona and true feelings. So that is why she loves friends with benefits; no strings attached.

Favourite Food: Bouillabaisse

Favourite Drink: Prosecco

Least Favourite Food: Cheeseburgers

Least Favourite Drink: Soda

Loyalties: Taliana has a naturally rebellious spirit, and usually sides with whoever benefit her goals at that current time. In spite of that attitude, she tends to stick to heroics with a level of justice that gets her comparisons to the Huntress. Let's just say she doesn't do to well with evil in any form.

Intelligence Level: Taliana has been noted by her teachers/mentors to be a gifted individual. Her talent for music performance has been called a Godsend by many; When He was handing out vocal chords she was first in line. She has been writing music since she was 7, and has a natural aptitude/ skill with instruments. Her life in school was academic heavy, taking multiple AP courses throughout high school, and completed her first year of college before graduating. Her level of intelligence would be about 125.

Dominant Hand: Left Handed/Ambidextrous

Strengths: Higher level thinking skills, Musical aptitude, Physical Prowess, Seductive Beauty, Leadership, Justice Enforcer.

Weaknesses: Her concern with keeping her emotions at face value tend to keep her from making long term friendships, and coming across as bitchy/standoffish. Taliana tends to show no mercy towards her enemies and that mixed with her rebellious nature, tends to put other heroes on edge or wary of her.

Cherished Items:
Canary's Choker: Black Canary gave Taliana a choker with a golden pendant that was embroidered with a canary. Taliana received this gift on her graduation day. Dinah had promised that Taliana would be able to participate in League level missions once she completed High School, the choker being a symbol of that promise. Taliana looked forward to working alongside the League with her mentor, but fate would have it otherwise. The passing on of the charm was symbolic of the torch being passed on to a new Canary.

Philosophical/ Social Viewpoint: The world is full of prejudice and corruption beyond repair. As long as humans roam the earth, it will forever need heroes to protect it. Although some would say that eventually true peace can be obtained; Taliana would beg to differ. Until that day comes, she will continue the necessary fight to protect what is precious to her.

Religious Viewpoint: Taliana was raised in a catholic church that believed in shoving religion down children's throats, and telling them that their dreams would bare no fruit because it didn't align with God's word. As one would expect, this didn't sit well with Taliana. She believes that there is a God; one who loves her for all that she is and will allow her to go as far as her talents will take her. Taliana truly feels that everyone needs something to put their faith in, especially in times such as this.

Romantic Viewpoint: A seductress at heart, Taliana enjoys flirting with men. She prefers no-string attached relationships, or out of this world flings. Although she has no intentions of slowing down her bachelorette tendencies, she does hope to find a man with the ability to truly sweep her off her feet.

Personality
Sassy. Manipulative. Seductive. Rebellious. Blunt. Taliana is a girl with a lot of mouth; meaning she has no filter. She speaks her mind even when others would keep their mouth shut, and simply feels the need to have the last word. Talia is the kind of hero who can shoot out quips at a wildfire pace. At times her natural sass and honesty can make her come across as blunt or rude. When honestly she is just being herself. Sugarcoating everything is not a option for Taliana. You can accept her for what she is or not; either way she is still going to remain the same. Although she is a hero by nature, Taliana tends to use methods that are unorthodox to other heroes. This rebellious streak gets her coined as the second huntress. She is willing to kill unlike most heroes. It's this attitude that makes it hard for her to work with others. She likes to do things a certain way, and wants to bring justice in the way she sees fit.

Her hardened exterior also holds a more seductive side. She isn't necessarily a flirt, but she loves to use her feminine wiles to her advantage. Think of it as the sophisticated version of flirtation. Whether it be to get a guy hot and bothered, or to get him to hand over his wallet, Taliana proves to be a modern day siren. It is for this reason that it's hard for her to find a good relationship. She is too confident for her own good. As well as wanting to experiment with men as much as possible before deciding to settle down. She's a wild one that's for sure.

Underneath her exterior lies a girl who only wants to do right. In spite of coming off harshly, she proves to be a caring girl once you get to know her. Of course she has a odd way of showing it. Taliana keeps her feelings shrouded behind the veil of her magnetic personality. A trait she developed when she was younger; to keep things to herself, and trust only herself. As a hero her ability to be open is crucial, and hopefully time will help mold this part of her.

Biography
"Where should I begin? Life has such a funny way of dealing with every individual; yet every destiny is predetermined, including mine. I'm such a complicated girl, but I suppose starting at the beginning would be best for the both of us, right?!

I hate to start this off like a typical sob story, but truth is my parents both died after I was born. My mother died giving birth to me unfortunately. My father, distraught by her death, took his own life. Only a babe at the time with no known extended family, I was placed under the care of a Catholic Church which also acted as an orphanage. It was here that I spent the majority of my childhood under the watch of the pretentious Father Lucius. My memories of the church start from the time I was 4. I remember how all the children were required to sing in the choir of the church every other Sunday. Although many of the orphans hated it, I absolutely adored it. I was singing before I was talking in cohesive sentences. Father Lucius claimed that God had taken special care when molding my vocal chords. Natural talent, he claimed. I completely agree with that statement. It was all I wanted to do all day and night, to the point that around the time I started school with the priests I couldn't stop singing. Of course that is when I started to get in deep trouble....

After over 7 years of schooling at the church, I had already surpassed their expectations. They called me a bright star. Father Lucius believed I would be their first orphan to make it into college. Such praise at a time when college was the last thing on my mind. My singing voice had begun maturing at the age of ten, taking on a more sensual/sultry tonal quality. Every time I sung in a way deemed inappropriate I would be slapped across the mouth. Having an identity wasn't a good thing here unless you were on your knees praying at all times. So, I was told not to sing with the choir anymore. It was in these moments that I began rebelling against the priests. Flirting with guys. Not praying, or wearing a cross on my forehead for Ash Wednesday. Even questioning their teachings; Anything to get under their skin. Every time I was punished, I took it as a job well done. The priests, already abusive with their discipline, decided it would be better to lock me in a tiny closet as punishment. I curse them for their wretchedness. It was there that I realized how claustrophobic I am. I would be left in there for hours, screaming until my throat was raw. This was the norm for the next 6 years of my life. Where was this God they spoke so highly about now? Would he truly let me rot in this hell hole? Never again shall I endure such punishment. Thankfully, that held true.

The morning Dinah came was like every other at the church. The big bell could be heard throughout the courtyard. Birds chirped in harmony by the fountain. Father Lucius was giving his daily sermon. You know, the usual. All of a sudden time seemed to stop, as I was given the news that my Aunt was here to get me. I only remember dashing into her arms, saying thank you repeatedly as tears streamed down my face. There was a God; one who didn't care that I made mistakes, and still blessed me in spite of myself. It was that day that I was free to be whoever I wanted. I will forever be in debt to my Aunt Dinah.

Much to my annoyance upon arriving at my new home, Dinah explained to me what my parents named me. Taliana. The priests had only ever called me by my spiritual name, Sarah. Yeah, that church is definitely corrupted. Dinah took her job as my new care-giver very seriously and quickly enrolled me into the Metropolis City High school. I continued to advance in my studies, claiming the top spot in my class.Dinah pushed me to do as much as I could in those four years of high school. Everything from chorus to volleyball, you name and I did it. Music was still dear to my heart, and Dinah took it upon herself to buy me a piano. I spent hours on the instrument after it arrived at Dinah's house. I began writing music and performing it at local coffee shops when I was 17. It's how I scored a scholarship to Metropolis University. But like I said before, destiny is always predetermined....

It was late at night when a gang broke into Dinah's home. Dinah was out late doing whatever it was that she did, and I was there alone. I hid in the shower of the bathroom, hoping the thieves would take what they wanted and leave. It seems they were targeting her or Dinah because they were busting into every room. Finally they kicked down the door to the bathroom and pulled back the shower curtains. I let out a wail so strong that it shattered the glass mirror of the bathroom, and knocked the gangsters clean out. I blacked out from the pure shock of what had just happened. Moments later I was in the arms of Dinah, who was in some kind of black leather get-up. I saw the tears welling in her eyes as she saw that I was awake. My eyes widened as I was finally able to take in the sheer amount of damage in the bathroom. The men were gone but glass was still covering the floor, and cracks in the tiles were also present. I explained to Dinah that this was my fault. She told me not to worry, and the gangsters were because of her. She wasn't listening to exactly what I was trying to say. 'Im a freak!' I exclaimed to her hysterically. It was then that Dinah understood what I was saying. The woman looked at the shattered mirror before pointing to her choker. The face of a Black Canary was the last thing I saw before blacking out again.

So if you didn't already guess it, my Aunt is the Black Canary. After that night she began training me in the use of my powers. It became thrilling to know that after all these years of being told to fit the mold, I was now breaking out of it. I trained with Dinah in combat, and proper use of my unique control over sound for 2 years. Upon entering my first year of college, Dinah gave me her choker as a sign that I was ready to fight crime alongside her. Little did she know that the passing of her choker was a allusion to the passing of her Legacy to me; The Nightingale.

[Weapon Information]

Canary Feathers: These throwing blades are feather shaped and extremely sharp. They release a canary cry when they fly through the air towards targets. Can be used for up close combat as well.

[Sonokinesis]

Audiokinesis: The ability to create various sonic effects through the combined action of her vocal cords and limited psionic powers which can only be used in conjunction with the sounds she produces.

Banshee: Nightingale can cause her vocal cords to vibrate over a wide range of sonic frequencies and produce a volume of sound ranging up to at least 140 decibels. Nightingale thus has the ability to shatter solid objects with her scream.

Sonic Lance: By focusing her sonic vibrations while screaming into an intense beam. This is used as a sort of "battering ram" that can stun or even destroy most solid objects.

Sonar: Can use her sonic powers as a form of sonar. By sending out a precise, pure note and listening to the returning, altered wave-front of the note, she can evaluate her surroundings in total darkness with varying degrees of resolution.

Null Field:Nightingale can project a field of silence in a area making no sound reach outside the area or no sound outside the area in.

Sonic Amplification:Nightingale can amplify sound carrier waves allowing her to hear conversations or noises from far off.

Vocal Disorentation: The ability to change someone’s balance, by affecting their equilibrium using her sonic scream.

Vocal Trance: The ability to subtly influence others subconscious mind by changing the tones and vibrations of her voice, the effects tend towards blatant hypnosis. (Has to be heard by the target to do any good, and lasts up to four posts.)

Siren's Song: Ability to influence human beings with a certain pitch of her voice, causing them to fall in love with her without regard to gender or sexual orientation.

Vocal Unconsciousness: Ability to affect the fluid in someone’s ear causing the person to go unconscious.

Sound Immunity: Nightingale's hearing and equilibrium are unaffected by the effects of her scream and similar abilities.

Superhuman Vocal Stamina:Her vocal cords are tremendously strong, so that she can produce sonic effects through screaming constantly for hours at a time without noticeably tiring or injuring her vocal apparatus. Nightingale’s vocal cords and the interiors of her throat and mouth are also superhumanly tough, so that the intense pressures and constrictions that she produces do not cause her any injury unless over/porrly used. Using proper singing techniques such as diaphragm support, helps her extend the time she can use her powers as well as increase it's effectiveness.

[Weakness Information]

Bum Notes: In spite of having superhuman vocal chords, Taliana is still susceptible to damaging them. She is vulnerable to losing the ability to use her power effectively by overstraining and overusing her sonic screams or injury to her throat and vocal cords. She also lacks fine control of her abilities when in extreme distress. Movement while using her sonic powers weakens their effectiveness. When she is sick her powers are dampened to an almost unusable state, so she has to take care of herself to avoid such hindrances.

I'm only human...: Although her metahuman physique allows her to take blows normal humans couldn't survive, she is still vulnerable to anything humans are. She isn't immortal or anything after all.

The Legacy of Black Canary
As envisioned by Suki the Siren

The Song of two Sirens

'Fate isn't something you can touch, or something you can see; it's intangible. Yet in spite of that, it can affect the lives of many. Luck favors the prepared but Fate has no favorites, and it's hand will be dealt when you least expect it.'

Taliana sat in her dorm room on her bed fiddling with the choker around her neck. It was night time so many were sleeping, including her neighboring peers. Thankfully, she had no roommate. Imagine trying to explain why you put on a white catsuit every night. Taliana let out a sigh of relief at the thought. She was up late tonight for the sake of doing her daily patrol. You never know whose lurking in the shadows of the night. Your neighbor could be a angel in the day, but a devil under the veil of the stars. Taliana is a hero of sorts. Although she didn't call herself that often. Neither did the authorities around Metropolis; a Vigilante was her title instead. A compliment really. She did the job the boys in blue couldn't; actually making the city a safer one. Metropolis might be less crime ridden than Gotham, but evil knows no bounds. It was always better to be safe than sorry. Taliana reached behind her neck and unbuckled the choker. She held the necklace in her palm, gazing into the pendant on it. A Black Canary adorned the pendants' face. The necklace held more value than any would ever know. It was a symbol of her inheritance. Mother birds pushed their little ones out of the nest when it was time spread their wings and fly. The choker was given to her as a way to push her into her position as the Nightingale....

-----------------------------------------------Flashback------------------------------------------------

"Hee-yah!" Taliana quickly thrust her blade into the charging training robot before ripping it back out. An electrical surge passed through the hole she had made in the now fallen robot. "Your gonna have to give me something harder than this Canary!" Taliana cried to her mentor as she fluidly tossed a string of blades at more oncoming robots.

Black Canary (Dinah Lance to the public) watched as her protege began taking on the training robots. She smirked when she heard the girl's comment to up the difficulty. Little did Taliana know that the difficulty had already been increased to it's max limit. Saying that Dinah was a proud mama was an understatement. A hand touched her shoulder, causing her to whip around to see who it was. "Bruce, come to see how are new hero is doing?" Dinah teased, nodding to Taliana's session.

Bruce laughed gently before looking Taliana's vicious attack on the robots. "She's a little violent, don't you think?" Bruce commented as he watched her. "You never struck me as the type to find a protege, even if she is family." He remarked.

"Sad you aren't the only one with an extended family?!" Dinah alluded to the titular Bat Family that Batman had molded over the years. It was composed of many different heroes who were mentored by Batman at one point or another."Besides, I couldn't let her go through life not knowing how to use her powers." Dinah stated with a sigh. Her and her niece shared similar abilities in relation to sound manipulation. Although Taliana's powers were on a much greater scale than her own. It was only right that she took the girl under her wing, especially because the Black Canary wouldn't be around forever. Now there was a thought that scared the blonde bombshell.

Bruce nodded his head in understanding. He was in awe of the Taliana's natural control over her abilities. It hadn't taken much to turn the girl into a well-oiled fighting machine. After a year or so of combat training with him and Canary, Taliana had quickly became an experienced fighter. It helped that she had a uncanny amount of agility to work with. She would definitely be an asset to the League in the future. The only thing Bruce worried about was her attitude. She had displayed a less than heroic approach to confronting enemies from what Bruce had picked up from watching her over the past few weeks. Dinah had trusted that the girl wouldn't begin crime fighting until she deemed it was time. Bruce kept Taliana's nighttime vigilante actions secret, but her attitude was something he needed to address. "A hero who has that much of a blood thirst should make you wary." Bruce commented just as Taliana unleashed a deafening scream that caused several robots to explode. Dinah's brows furrowed at the remark. She wasn't sure what he was getting at. "I'm referring to Taliana. I don't trust her to handle crime, the proper way." The concern in his voice was evident.

"She isn't gonna k---" Dinah stopped mid sentence as Zatanna came flying towards them. The woman quickly told them that Circe was causing trouble at a Museum in Gotham. The museum housed a powerful relic that could be used to bring Trigon to this world. Bruce motioned for Dinah to go. "She's the kind of fighter we need Bruce. One who isn't gonna bend for anyone, whose heart is always in the right place." Dinah bit her lip before dashing after Zatanna. Bruce sighed as he watched Taliana preparing to take on the final wave.

Taliana took a inhaled deeply before letting out a sonic lance that obliterated the string of robots, as well as shattered the glass window in front of Bruce. "Oops. Sorry Bats. Guess I don't know my own strength, hm?" Taliana coyed before stepping through the hole where the window once was. "Where'd Dinah go?!" Taliana inquired. She hoped the blonde hadn't went on a mission without her. Today the was day for them to do their first mission. That was their deal.

Bruce looked at her in shock. "You might wanna learn some restraint before you accidentally hurt someone." He commented before answering her question. "She had to go stop some trouble brewing down in Gotham. It shouldn't take long though." Bruce smiled before placing a hand on her shoulder. He walked back over to the Global Computer to check on Oliver who was currently on a bank heist mission.

Taliana sat on the deck of the watchtower, watching the stars on the outside of the window. It was sometimes hard to believe they were actually in space. Everyday was like living in a comic book up here. Not that she read one of those things before. She sighed to herself as her thoughts began to lull her. Her sophomore year of college would be starting soon. The young musician was currently a music major Metropolis University at the top of her class. She had everything going for her. Naturally, you would expect her to be excited. Although Taliana loved music, her heart was becoming so invested in being a hero. She enjoyed using her powers, and knowing that she was making a difference. Never again would she play the hopeless damsel. From now on she would be able to protect what was precious to her. To say she got a thrill from hurting the corrupted would be a completely true statement. People with evil intentions always thought of themselves as better than the common man, and Taliana took pleasure in bringing them to their knees. 'All heroes like that right?!' Taliana pondered over the thought. Maybe they got a thrill out of danger, but not necessarily hurting people even if their bad. Bruce was one of those types. She knew he had been watching her since she started performing some late night vigilante acts two weeks ago. It was surprising that he hadn't snitched on her to Dinah who had told her not to start anything until she was told she was ready. Taliana rested her chin in her palm as she leaned on the railing of the deck. 'I've been ready though...' The girl thought to herself. Taliana was more than prepared to be a hero, or at least that's what she...thought.

"OLIVER!!!!" She heard the sound of her mentor's voice ringing throughout the command room. She looked down at the area where the Global Computer was located and saw Dinah in tears. Taliana rushed down to her mentor.

"What's going on!?" Taliana exclaimed.

"Oliver Queen.....is gone." Bruce breathed. Taliana looked at him confusedly and a looked at Dinah.

"What does that mean?! Is he dead?" Taliana questioned, knowing how important the archer was to Dinah.

"We aren't sure. Heroes are just disappearing." Bruce nodded to the hat in Dinah's hand. It was Zatanna's. Who was doing such a thing? Better yet who had the power to zip heroes away? Where were they zapped to if they weren't dead?! Questions spiraled through the girl's mind just a pale blue light flashed in front of her. Taliana closed her eyes to protect them from the intense light. When they opened her cerulean orbs were greeted with the disappearance of yet another hero; the Black Canary. Taliana dropped to her knees as her world seemed to crash down around her. The pendant on her choker gleamed, almost signaling the rise of a new era.

----------------------------------------Months Later/Present Day---------------------------------

Taliana placed the choker back around her neck before getting up to slip on the rest of her catsuit. She looked in the mirror to add some final touches. She reached for a white stencil, she brought it to her face and drew a thin crescent moon over her eye that stretched down to her cheek (as seen in her profile picture). The siren opened up her window, before jumping out to the building below. The night air was brisk, perfect running weather. Taliana simply leaped from building to building to check the alleys for trouble. A stereotypical method for finding bad guys, but you were always guaranteed to find trouble. Evil and alley ways just go hand in hand. It didn't take long for Taliana to hear the screams of a woman 200 yards from her. Her sound based abilities gave her a sonar skill which came in handy for monitoring the city. Taliana quickly closed in on the woman's position. She stopped at the rooftop above the woman in trouble, disgusted by what she was seeing. A man was raping the woman. He was covering her mouth now to stop her from screaming. 'Sick dog...' Taliana was pissed, and this pervert was about to get what he deserved. A blade slipped out of her sleeve and found itself spiraling through the air towards the man. The blade pierced through his arm, sending enough pain in his body to make him let go of the woman. The poor lady dashed away looking up to see Nightingale.

"Thank you so much!!!" The woman cried hysterically. The man pulled up his pants and began running away. Taliana smiled as the chase began.

-------------------------------------------Months Later--------------------------------------------------

"This is Gina Rivera reporting breaking news. The worlds heroes had have been mysteriously disappearing, including Gotham's own Batman."

Taliana dropped her books as the reporter broke the news to her. She was in the lobby area to study and on her way out when the news came on the Television. Her heart was literally in her stomach. Her last words with Bruce had not been the best. Nor were her feelings with him that night. As much as she hated him questioning her motives, she appreciated having someone to talk to after Dinah disappeared. Now he was gone as well. What the hell is going on?! With the old heroes now gone, the world was quickly spiraling out of control. But it seemed there were a few willing to take up the mantle of the fallen. She had just seen an article about a new Green Arrow, as well as a Superboy. She herself had made it onto the news as the 'the White Canary'. Taliana raised a hand to her pendant and clutched it. The torch had been passed, and it was their turn to run with it.
