You are lost in the fog, the mist, you are in the middle of something, of remembering, experiencing, something important when you hear the calling again. This time it sounds like a horn in the distance. This time you hear shouts, what sounds like a war, of armour and weapons clashing. You hear cries and screams, you hear the clang of metal against metal, but all around you is just a peaceful, serene white.

The white bleeds now, to grey, and then you are once again in a large hallway. A red, gold, and green carpet glides along the floor. Around you are nine strange doors, barred off, sealed, and in the center a fountain.

"You have returned." The Great King is standing, hovering. They are once again a little more restored. "I vowed to help you, and I will continue to do so. Do you remember why?

You do not remember.

"I did not expect so, not quite yet" he continues. There is something in one hand.

It is a box. It is tied around with ornate chains, thick and heavy. There are eight locks covering the chains, of various colours. There is only one lock smoking a thick black, the red lock.

"My liege."

Two figures appear behind you. They walk towards the Great King, walk through you, without noticing you, and then kneel deeply in front of their King. One is wearing an ornate gold cloak, heavily armoured, while the other is wearing a bright green fabric with nature-bound runes. One ornate, one simple. One of Pride, the other of Creation. They continue to kneel.

"Have your desires been fulfilled?" The Great King speaks not to you but to the two kneeling. It feels almost like you are watching a ceremony, an oddly nostalgic one. "Are you ready to return to slumber?"

"If this is your wish, and your story continues, then I have no other desire." Pride, the gold figure, speaks first. "I wish now to sleep, and only to sleep. I am ready to leave my legacy behind."

"If this is your wish, and there are those who still can carry what I have left behind," continues Creation, "then I too wish to sleep, and only to sleep. I am ready to leave my legacy behind."

"You have served me well." The Great King steps forward. As he does so, they fade away, becoming nothing but glowing orbs of light that slowly retreat and then disappear.

"You notice that the red, gold, and green locks are unsealed now, and smoking a thick black.

"Three have been unlocked," the Great King points to the seals, "And two more have been undone. Once all seven, no eight, have become unsealed, then you will regain all your memories and face the truth. You, and only you. Fight until them, and serve your promise. Even if you do not remember it, your Heart does."

They oddly look more tired, more faded as they sink to their seat. The lavish castle around you is dwindling. The prisons look rusted, the water looks grey and bare. "Return when you have unsealed Grief and Reflection and we shall discuss further. For now, I part with you one last gift."

They exhale slowly, but you only feel warm. You remember something, something you have been yearning for for so long, something you tried to remember over and over again but could not. You remember this and because of it, you become something greater.

You remember someone very close to you.

And you awaken just a piece of your memory of the promise.

A strange memory

"It is done," says the voice. "You will fight then. You will fight to save everything you believe in. You must do this to remember what is precious to you. Only you can put them at -. All of the memories that you-"

You look at - and everything that - has fought for. It feels fuzzy now, as if they had-. You look at - and wonder if you will - and -. This is a promise. You will remember - in order to choose for yourself -.

----------

-----The world will end. This world will become nothing. I will consume this world. I will consume this world because YOU DID NOT MAKE THIS CHOICE. NO, YOU LET SOMEONE ELSE -----

------- ∂ø ¥ø¨ ®´µ´µ∫´®≥≥≥≥≥≥≥≥≥---------

Around your neck is a still strange necklace. A lock. It makes no sound, but cannot be touched nor removed. It is lightly glowing.

At last everything fades away, leaving only two monuments behind. A dungeon. The fountain. You are faced with a choice.

Choose the dungeons:
"A dreaded choice," murmurs the dungeon, "A choice for you to discover what you may not want to know. If that is what you wish, then so be it."

Choose the fountain:
"A lonely choise," whispers the fountain, "A choice that has no reward and simply exists. If this is what you wish, then so be it."

OOC

YOUR JOURNEY FROM NOW ON:

gaia_crown [ You are reborn:]

You have been saved by the Great King and once again reminded of your purpose.
- Your character has also remembered someone close to them. That person CAN be someone from the event as long as it makes sense. They remember all the memories of them interacting with that person (only of their INTERACTIONS, and not of their past, etc etc, whatever was NOT disclosed).
- Your character's appearance is now the simplest form of what they originally looked like prior to this meta. They CANNOT however shift into their true forms OR summon a mount OR summon their weapon.
- You may post a reaction thread/ rp/ interact with characters for a little bit in this thread before choosing one of the options.

gaia_crown [ Side Tasks :] There are now new side tasks here! You can complete as many as you desire. Some side tasks require a chance, while other its just a memory prompt. For chance ones, you may retry it once the time resets to 12:00 am PST. Old side tasks cannot be completed, other than the ones in the Heart Log info thread here.
- Once again, you can continue to redeem points into the raffle here

gaia_crown [ Paths from Here:] Your character is now faced with a choice to try and help the Great King and remember why they are here.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

- The Violet (ZONE FOUR) and White (ZONE FIVE) zones have been opened. Your character can do one OR BOTH this time. Simply do whatever you think you have more time for!
- As a general word of advice, the White/ Grief World may be better for those who would prefer a solo event/ don't have much time and the Violet World is better for people who wish to do something that requires possibly a greater time investment! Regardless of which one your character picks, you may still do the battle arena things together, just the tasks themselves will be different. You can now do BOTH but only ONE AT A TIME. You can even just do one, you don't NEED to do both! Doing both is ENTIRELY OPTIONAL. Doing one is more than enough.

- gaia_crown Go here for Zone 4 (Violet)
- gaia_crown Go here for Zone 5 (White)

- What you choose is up to you. The deadline for them is August 23rd at 7:30 PM PST

"Aah. At last I found you, Great King." Groaned Rei. His encounter with the Goddess of Ruin just earlier still left something bitter in his memory.

"You have returned." The Great King is standing...hovering...oh heck. He once again looks a little more restored. "I vowed to help you, and I will continue to do so. Do you remember why?"

"Errh...nope. Not yet."

"I did not expect so, not quite yet." he continues.

Somehow, Rei feels a little bit of...guilt?

In his hand was the same box from before...wait. Something is different?

"My liege."

Two figures appeared behind him. They walked towards the Great King, walked through him, without even noticing, and then kneel deeply in front of their King.

One is wearing an ornate gold cloak, heavily armoured, while the other is wearing a bright green fabric with nature-bound runes. One ornate, one simple. One of Pride, the other of Creation. They continued to kneel.

"If this is your wish, and there are those who still can carry what I have left behind," continues Creation, "-then I too wish to sleep, and only to sleep. I am ready to leave my legacy behind."

Is it just his imagination...or the green-clothed figure of Creation give him a solemn nod?

"You have served me well." The Great King steps forward. As he does so, they fade away, becoming nothing but glowing orbs of light that slowly retreat and then disappear.

He noticed that the red, gold, and green locks are unsealed now, and smoking a thick black.

"Three have been unlocked," the Great King points to the seals, "And two more have been undone. Once all seven, no eight, have become unsealed, then you will regain all your memories and face the truth. You, and only you. Fight until them, and serve your promise. Even if you do not remember it, your Heart does."

The same words as before.

He oddly looks more tired, more faded as he sunk to his seat. The lavish castle around him is dwindling. The prisons look rusted, the water looks murky and unclean.
"Return when you have unsealed Grief and Reflection and we shall discuss further. For now, I part with you one last gift."

He exhaled slowly, and just like before, Rei remembered something.

Something precious to him. Someone very close to him-
The patient in the bed beside him. Medical Record number 330176.
"Nathan Wills."

His best buddy.

Another strange memory awakened in his mind. Another piece of the 'promise' that the Great King talked about. He still cannot remember it all...

At last everything fades away, leaving only two monuments behind. A dungeon. The fountain.

What will he chose?

"A dungeon is a place when humanity does the very opposite of humanity-and a fountain is one that gives blessing--life--to its surrounding. Not much of a question what I will choose, is it?"

He touched the Fountain.

"A lonely choise," whispers the fountain, "A choice that has no reward and simply exists. If this is what you wish, then so be it."

Somehow, he has a bad premonition about this...
The space around him twisted and distorted and...
Rei was gone.

She was lost in the mist that had suddenly surrounded her, she was in the middle of something, of remembering, experiencing, something important when she heard the calling again. Rather than calling to her heart, this time the calling sounded like a horn in the distance. This time, she also heard shouts, the sounds of war, and the sounds of armor and weapons clashing. She heard cries and screams, she heard the clang of metal against metal, but all around you was just a peaceful, serene white.

Confused, Gwyn then watched as the white bled to grey, and then she was once again in a large hallway. A red, gold, and green carpet glided along the floor. Around her were nine strange barred doors and in the center was a fountain.

"You have returned." The Great King said while standing and hovering near her. He seemed a little more restored. "I vowed to help you, and I will continue to do so. Do you remember why?"

Yet again, she could not remember.

"I did not expect so, not quite yet" he continued. In his hand was still the box tied in ornate chains and, on the chains, the eight locks. The red one was still black and smoking.

"My liege."

Turning to see the two figures that appeared behind her, she faced the speakers. They walked towards the Great King, walking through her, without noticing her, and then knelt deeply in front of their King. One was wearing an ornate gold cloak and was heavily armored, while the other was wearing a bright green fabric with nature-bound runes. One was ornate and one was simple. One was of Pride and the other was of Creation. They both continued to kneel.

"Have your desires been fulfilled?"
The Great King asked the two who were kneeling. It felt almost like she was watching a ceremony, an oddly nostalgic one. "Are you ready to return to slumber?"

"If this is your wish, and your story continues, then I have no other desire." Pride, the gold figure, had spoken first. "I wish now to sleep, and only to sleep. I am ready to leave my legacy behind."

"If this is your wish, and there are those who still can carry what I have left behind," continued Creation, "then I too wish to sleep, and only to sleep. I am ready to leave my legacy behind."

"You have served me well." The Great King replied, stepping forward. As he did so, they faded away, becoming nothing but glowing orbs of light that slowly retreated and then disappeared.

She then noticed that, not only the red, but also the gold and green locks were unsealed now, and all were smoking a thick black.

"Three have been unlocked," the Great King said, pointing to the seals, "And two more have been undone. Once all seven, no eight, have become unsealed, then you will regain all your memories and face the truth. You, and only you. Fight until them, and serve your promise. Even if you do not remember it, your Heart does."

he seemed, oddly, to look more tired, more faded as he sunk to his seat. The lavish castle around her again dwindled. The prisons looked rusted and the water looked grey and bare. "Return when you have unsealed Grief and Reflection and we shall discuss further. For now, I part with you one last gift."

He then exhaled slowly, making Gwyn feel warm, making her remember something, something she had been yearning for for so long, something she had tried to remember over and over again but could not. She remembered this and because of it, she became something greater.

She remembered Balfour. He had been her friend for a long time. Rather, after her mother, he had been one of the very few who had ever made an impact on her life. He had been her first friend who was not a minipet. He had also been the first to brutally back-stab her and the first to almost kill her. Remembering him was bittersweet, and made her remember to never blindly trust anyone blindly again.

Just as the last vestiges of her memories of Balfour returned, she alsoremembered just a piece of her memory of the promise.

Around her neck was a still strange lock necklace. It still made no sound, but could not be touched nor removed. It was, now, lightly glowing.

At last everything faded away, leaving only two monuments behind: the dungeon and the fountain. She was, again, faced with a choice.

Gwyn turned to the fountain, remembering her feelings about Barfour made her not want to face anything that could bring sorrow, like a dungeon certainly would.

Looking into it, she heard it whisper "A lonely choice, a choice that has no reward and simply exists. If this is what you wish, then so be it."

Apprehensive, Gwyn still chose the fountain.

Returning from the fountain, Gwyn reflected what she had seen and learned. She now knew that she had had a few beings dear to her at one time or another, but they had all left. Some just leaving her behind, some betraying her, and some passing on. Wanting to know if there were any who had not left her, Gwun decided to search for more of her memories and the best way to do that would be to challenge herself. Not knowing what awaited her, she reached for one of the barred doors.

"A dreaded choice," murmured the dungeon, "A choice for you to discover what you may not want to know. If that is what you wish, then so be it."

It was what she wished, so she pressed on.

It was happening again.

Freya sensed a strong, disorienting deja-vu that quieted her as the voice spoke. She listened, and she tried to understand. But all the voice told her was colors, and locks, and keys, and none of this was getting her any closer to getting her life back.

The scene before her felt like it held a lot of signifance. If only she'd been smarter, maybe..

But what mattered most was the choice she was left with. The dungeons looked treacherous, but the fountain looked.. lonely. And she knew, somehow, she'd never see Kettil there.

She took the dungeons, and steeled herself for the journey.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 23, 2013 9:38 am

She was lost, it was foggy and the must seemed to cling to her as she struggle to remember...but then she heard the call. It was a distant horn, a shout, a battle, the clanging of weapons and the sound of screams. Yet the white fog surrounded her and though she saw no battle she heard it clearly.

The white became grey and then the hallway and she walked along the red, gold, and green carpet. She glanced at the nine barred doors and the headed towards the center to the fountain.

"You have returned. I vowed to help you, and I will continue to do so. Do you remember why?"

It was his voice, the great one, she shook her head, she couldn't remember though she tried.

"I did not expect so, not quite yet" She listened to the voice, and then looked at the box in his hand. It was closed by ornate chains and on each chain a lock, the red one was smoking black.

She turned at the sound of a voice, "My liege." Two figures walked through her and she gasped faintly. She turned to see them kneeling before the great king. One wore gold the other green, she felt her heart thud in her chest.

"Have your desires been fulfilled? Are you ready to return to slumber?" The great king asked the two kneeling before him, she watched feeling a sense of deja-vu at this strange ceremony.

The golden one spoke first, "If this is your wish, and your story continues, then I have no other desire. I wish now to sleep, and only to sleep. I am ready to leave my legacy behind."

Then the green clothed figure spoke and Sin found her mouth opening, but no words came. "If this is your wish, and there are those who still can carry what I have left behind, then I too wish to sleep, and only to sleep. I am ready to leave my legacy behind." She listened and in her heart she promised that she would carry it on, she did not know why, only that it seemed right.

"You have served me well." She turned her attention back to the great king and watched as he stepped forward and the two before him faded into small orbs of light that retreated and vanished.

Three locks were now smoking black and she looked up as the great king spoke to her.

"Three have been unlocked, and two more have been undone. Once all seven, no eight, have become unsealed, then you will regain all your memories and face the truth. You, and only you. Fight until then, and serve your promise. Even if you do not remember it, your Heart does."

The king looked tired in her eyes, she watched as he sat and the castle seemed to lose it's grandure around her. Then the great king was speaking once more and as she exhaled she felt a deep warmth. A memory came to her, something she had tried so hard to remember and now treasured for it was within her grasp at last.

"Return when you have unsealed Grief and Reflection and we shall discuss further. For now, I part with you one last gift."

Rosc His name made her pulse flutter and she remembered, he was so much to her, and she was as much to him, they did not belong apart, they belonged together.

Along with the memory of Rosc came a snippet of the promise...the promise...it seemed unreal and yet so important. The necklace was still there, she looked down at it's faint glow, and everything else around her slowly faded. She was left staring at two monuments, a dungeon, and a fountain, time to choose.

Slowly she paced, unlike before neither called to her with great urgency, but finally she walked to the fountain and heard it's soft whisper.

"A lonely choise, A choice that has no reward and simply exists. If this is what you wish, then so be it."

Lonely, yes she was lonely, she had no friend here, no family, she had nothing but the memory that she had not always been so alone. She needed no reward, she wanted only to hold the memory of what she was in her heart.

Efflo still didn’t remember.

He was beginning to wonder why the King continued to ask him, as getting an answer out of him seemed futile. But with two locks unbound, green and gold, he turned to Efflo, and imparted him with his next task. Tired though the Great King appeared, again Efflo received a gift for his efforts, a blessing in the form of another memory.

Efflo remembered him entirely now. Every memory, every touch and every detail of Gabriel etched itself into his mind, awoken and seizing his heart.

Gabriel, he murmured wistfully, touching his hand to the lock around his neck. Gabriel, who was not here, but was somewhere. Efflo needed to find that somewhere, he was determined to get there. There was simply no other option.

So he refused to make a choice, and decided to tackle both pillars, beginning first with the dungeons.
