Another of the wispy, hissing dragons loomed out of the mists, and Jordan held his ground. Hopefully someone would turn up to help him take it down, or at the least it wouldn't injure him too badly while he fought it. He didn't see its tail curve up behind him until it was knocking him flat, and he picked himself up, embarrassed and cursing. Rep was enjoying this scythe, the reach was shorter than what his natural stance permitted but it had its bonuses, it was much better than the awkwardness of the tiny short dagger. Spotting a creature nearby he charged straight in, only after the fact realising he recognised the figure who had been facing it off already.
"Jordan?" he asked, the name sounding strange on his tongue after the corrupted version from the other place, the before.

The voice was familiar, doubly so, both from recent acquaintance and from newly uncovered memory, and Jordan turned, his breath catching a little. "Rep. You made it," he said, immensely relieved. His first impulse was to go over to pull the other man into an embrace, but the drake decided to interrupt the moment with its claws, and Jordan turned on it, growling with irritation as he lashed out. Rep nodded. "Ayeee. Like there was ever any doubt." He remembered the memory with the blonde woman - Clarice - saying if he had one virtue it was survival, and he was inclined to agree, even here.
He couldn't help the earnest laughter that bubbled forth at the sharpness of Jordan's swing as the unfortunate drake interrupted his conversation.
"And you tell him." he said encouragingly.

"I figured you would. But I worry." He bit back the words You know that, suddenly a little uncertain; he remembered only a few things, and while those things implied that they were very familiar with each other, the gaps in his memories made him nervous. How much did Rep remember about him? If it wasn't much, he wasn't going to point that out. He swung at the dragon again, unable to help a satisfied grin at the bite and pull of the barbed whip as it dug into the drake's shadowy substance. "I think I will." He brought the scythe around in a flourish that silenced the drake to stillness.

Jordan laughed. "And it looks good," he said, brushing his fingers across Rep's shoulder in an absently familiar gesture as he moved to pick up sparkling pieces. "Thanks for helping me with this one."

"Anytime. My weapon's yours." he said, not dropping the genuine edge to his smile. He had some making up to do for all the nastiness and petty snipes.
Not that he'd let Jordan know that, he still had to work for it.
