Your memories scatter. They fall apart, are consumed. You are nothing.
And then a great hand grabs onto each and every of your precious memories, wraps them into his fingers and holds onto them tightly, pulling you forward-
- And you are once again saved.
"You still have a promise to fulfill."
You breathe, you take a deep, heavy breath and you once again exist and are contained. Everything comes rushing back to you all at the same time, clamouring, yelling, loss, pain, confusion, chaos, excitement, anger-
"Steady. One step at a time. There is much more to still complete"
At their voice, you feel calm again. Warmer. There is something about them that commands total authority and respect. A King. No, greater than a King.
You are standing in a large hallway now. A long red and gold carpet glides along the floor. Around you are seven pillars and at the very end a long golden throne. There is someone seated, no, hovering, over the throne, half-complete.
"I am the Great King." There is no doubt. You believe their words before you even understand why. "I vowed to help you, and I will continue to do so. Do you remember why?
You do not remember.

"I did not expect so," he continues. There is something in one hand.
It is a box. It is tied around with ornate chains, thick and heavy. There are eight locks covering the chains, of various colours.
"This contains everything you have been working for. The rest of your memories, as well as mine, as well as the ones from loyal allies of mine, as well as the ones from enemies of mine. Seven important memories lie within this box, a layer in this box, like a Pandora's Box."
You notice that the red lock is already unsealed, and smoking a thick black.
"One has been unlocked," the Great King points to the red seal, glowing a terrible, familiar red, one of Ruin, one of Destruction, "and now two more have become undone." There, they pointed to the gold and green locks. "Once all seven, no eight, have become unsealed, then you will regain all your memories and face the truth. You, and only you. Fight until them, and serve your promise. Even if you do not remember it, your Heart does."

They oddly look more tired, more faded as they sink to their seat. The lavish castle around you is dwindling. The throne looks rusted, worn, the pillars faded. "Return when you have unsealed Pride and Creation and we shall discuss further. For now, I part with you one last gift."
They exhale slowly, but you only feel warm. You remember something, something you have been yearning for for so long, something you tried to remember over and over again but could not. You remember this and because of it, you become something greater. You change as colour overwhelms you, as you gain figure and form and are no longer grey.
You remember your true name.
And you awaken just a piece of your memory of the promise.

YOUR JOURNEY FROM NOW ON:
gaia_crown[ You are reborn:]
You have been saved by the Great King and once again reminded of your purpose. You have recovered with it your memories from the finale of the Part 1 event (any you posted here) and of what occurred during the event to your fog character. Ie: anything that happened in the meta itself, but not any memories triggered by events that happened prior to it. - Your character has also remembered their true name - Your character's appearance is now the simplest form of what they originally looked like prior to this meta. They CANNOT however shift into their true forms OR summon a mount OR hear their weapon. - You may post a reaction thread/ rp/ interact with characters for a little bit in this thread before choosing one of the options.
gaia_crown[ Heart Log :] As you remember your TRUE NAME, you may update your Heart Log to now have the name of your character's true name, and their true appearance, pretty much what they looked like prior to this meta. Horsemen CANNOT have their mount summons, no creatures can have natural forms, Reapers do NOT have familiars, Hunters do NOT have their weapons (or remember the significance of weapons at this point). - Any Heart achievements from this point onwards are memory fragments. They prompt for a memory, or are just a lingering presence of a memory that makes your character a little more complete. Make sure to continue to log in your Heart Log as always!
gaia_crown[ Battle Arena :] The Battle Arena is open again! You may finish old Task 1 battles, but you can only participate in NEW battles in Zones 2 and 3 (the new worlds) from this point onwards. Participating in a battle means your character has wandered off in a space and encountered something in the far edges of the world, something that twists and warps and brings other characters together. You may then fight to get rid of these strange half-formed creations! You can check out the new mobs HERE
gaia_crown[ Side Tasks :] You may still do side tasks, that will give your character more memory fragments (side achievements). Those are still redeemable in the raffle. New side tasks will be open, and you will be able to participate in them here. An announcement will be made when all the new side tasks are available. Old side tasks cannot be completed, other than the ones in the Heart Log info thread here. - Once again, you can continue to redeem points into the raffle here
gaia_crown[ Paths from Here:] Your character is now faced with a choice to try and help the Great King and remember why they are here.
- The Gold (ZONE THREE) and Green (ZONE TWO) zones have been opened. Your character can choose either the Gold (Throne) or Green (Pillars). They can only each choose ONE - As a general word of advice, the Green/Creation World may be better for those who would prefer a solo event/ don't have much time and the Gold/Pride World is better for people who wish to do something that requires possibly a greater time investment! Regardless of which one your character picks, you may still do the battle arena things together, just the tasks themselves will be different. Remember, you can only pick one! If you previously picked red, this doesn't matter, REPICK EITHER GREEN OR GOLD. Whatever you previously picked doesn't matter, repick again.
This wasn't the end. There was still work to be done. He couldn't fully remember, but apparently he was to help this great king. There were locks to be undone. What was at the end? His mind was in a haze at the moment, but quite frankly, he had nothing else to work off of.
As the voice exhaled, his own eye snapped open. Color filled his form once more. Furthermore, he recalled his true name.
Shun.
A broken memory filtered into his mind, and over all, he felt more whole now. Quietly, he looked himself over. Shun didn't entirely feel... right. But it was better than before. He also head something strange hanging around his neck. He tilted his head at the sight of it, not sure what to make of that.
Soon enough, everything faded, and he was left with a choice.
A pillar. And a throne.

"This is not the end."
Her memories had been scattered, consumed. She had fallen apart and become nothing, but somehow she still heard a voice. Then, suddenly, a great hand grabbed onto each and every of her precious memories, wrapped them into his fingers and held onto them tightly, pulling her forward, saving her.
"You still have a promise to fulfill."
Suddenly alive again, Wyng breathed in a deep breath. Why did it seem so precious, like something she thought she'd never be able to do again? If only she could remember...and then they hit her. All of the memories from when she was fog returned suddenly. They had taken her heart, she was dead! How could she be alive?
"Steady. One step at a time. There is much more to still complete"
Hearing the calming voice once again, Wyng looked up. What she beheld was a great being, a being she should respect. A king, no, a great king. Then she looked around. She was standing in a large hallway lined with a long red and gold carpet. Around her were seven pillars and at the very end a long golden throne, a throne at which someone seemed to be seated, but on closer inspection, seemed to be hoviering.
"I am the Great King."
It was as she had thought.
"I vowed to help you, and I will continue to do so. Do you remember why?"
Wyng had no clue what he meant.
"I did not expect so," he continued, showing her what was in his hand. It was a box tied in thick, heavy, ornate chains and sealed with eight locks of various colors.
"This contains everything you have been working for. The rest of your memories, as well as mine, as well as the ones from loyal allies of mine, as well as the ones from enemies of mine. Seven important memories lie within this box, a layer in this box, like a Pandora's Box."
She then noticed that one of the locks, the red lock had already been unsealed, and was smoking. "One has been unlocked," the Great King said as he pointed to the red seal. Had she done that? "and now two more have become undone." he then pointed to the gold and green locks. "Once all seven, no eight, have become unsealed, then you will regain all your memories and face the truth. You, and only you. Fight until them, and serve your promise. Even if you do not remember it, your Heart does."
He seemed oddly tired and more faded as he sat back on his throne. The lavish castle around her seemed to fade around her, dwindling. The throne became rusted and worn, the pillars less vibrant than before.
"Return when you have unsealed Pride and Creation and we shall discuss further. For now, I part with you one last gift."
He exhaled slowly, breathing something warm over her. It was then that she remembered something she had been searching for, something she had been reaching for even as she faded. Her name. She was not Wonenwyng, she was Gwynonwen! As she learned this, her grey shadowy form, shifted and filled with color. Where before had stood a grey shadow of a woman, now stood a pale black-haired young woman in a red dress. This was her human form, but it was still her form. Overjoyed at remembering herself, it took Gywn a moment to remember something else, a fragment of her promise...
A strange memory
"It is done," says the voice. "You will fight then. You will fight to save everything you believe in. You must do this to -. Only you can -. All of -"
You -. It feels -. You look at - and -. This -

Confused, but complete in body, Gywn looked down and checked herself over to make sure there was nothing missing, or extra. No, nothing was missing, even the designs on her dress and the braids in her hair were intact, and yet, it seemed like she was missing something, like she was still more than half incomplete. As if she was not yet whole. Then she noticed something else. There was something extra, something she did not remember. Around her neck was a strange necklace. Unlike her grey form, her Heart was no longer visible for all to see, but she still wore a necklace. This one looked like a lock. Examining it, Gywn found that it neither made a sound nor could it be touched or removed.
Then everything, except for the throne and the pillars faded away and she was faced with a choice. Believing she owed the king for saving her, she walked up to the throne and curtsied.
"A respectful choice," agreed the throne, "A choice that will reward you to become the Greatest of them all. May you find what you yearn for and may it lead to further greatness." Gywn just wondered what she had gotten herself into.

When he takes his next breath, his first breath, it overwhelms him, and brings him to his knees. He shouldn't be here, he shouldn't be back, but he is. And he remembers.
Robert. That's his name now, and he hates it with every fiber of his body. He hates it because he hates what he's suddenly remembered, and realized, and how could he have forgotten-
He'd made a promise.
Several, actually.
All broken, now. Just like him.
He remembers nothing of what the king asks. He hardly wants to remember himself. But he listens, because he has to. He listens, and he barely comprehends.
That, too, is just like him.
He's presented with another choice. He knows he'll get this one wrong, too. He picks the throne, because he knows he doesn't deserve to sit in it.

She felt it the sweet sensation of control over her body, her body, she was contained, she was safe, she was real, this wasn't over. She clung to the warmth enveloping her and realized it had saved her, saved her from something, from nothing. Emotions battered her and she struggled to tone down how she felt, when she found some sense of calm she gave her full attention to the voice, there was much more to complete and it commanded her respect. This was greatness.
She stood in a hallway her breathing finally steadying itself as she looked at the magnificent carpet on the floor. Seven pillars rose up around her and at the end a magnificent golden throne where a figure hovered. The Great King asking if she remembered, but she didn't.
Fortunately it was not expected and soon her gaze was drawn to the object in hand, a box. Chains held it closed and locks held those chains, each lock a different color. She listened as the great king explained and she reached out for a moment, she wanted to open it, but her hands fell to her sides. One lock was undone, destruction, and two more were close, she had to unlock them all, she had to fight.
The Great King looked tired, the throne no longer gleamed so golden, but she received a gift that made her forget all the grander that had come before or been lost since. With a sensation of warmth and a soft exhale she felt something, it had evaded her over and over and now, now she remembered.
Her skin was violet, her eyes a gleaming yellow, her hair was black with streaks of pink, she felt the brush of wings against her back and her shoulders bore curved spikes. She was no longer a grey misnamed shadow, she remembered her true name, she was Sin Err, and with that memory came a sliver of a memory of the promise.
She flexed her hands felt her long strong nails, her wings slowly stretched out and then folded against her back, she slowly turned in a circle, it was hard to believe, she still felt strange, but better. She reached for the object around her neck, strange jewelry, a lock that she could not touch.
Slowly she looked around, everything had faded only the throne and the pillars remained, but the choice was easy, she ignored the throne and chose the pillars. Wise? She did not know if she was wise or a hero, but she did yearn for more, she did seek to discover greater things.

"This is not the end," someone said.
It was, though. Why pretend otherwise? But a great hand gathered her wayward memories and pulls her back into breathing, feeling life. The rush of emotions threatened to overwhelm her, but calm returned as the voice spoke again, authoritative and commanding.
She could not remember this Great King hovering half-formed upon the golden throne, nor their promise of aid, but not a shadow of doubt marred her belief in their words. As they spoke on, she studied the chained box in their hand and the locks lying within.
After promising a parting gift, the weary Great King breathed out slowly. With that exhalation, her grey body darkened to black. Lupine ears atop her head twitched. Sharp teeth and claws showed their edge. A bushy tail as black as her skin swished behind her, restoring to her a balance she hadn't realized that she was missing until now. She remembered that she was not Laurus but Ursula. That she had promised to fight to preserve all that she believed in.
As Ursula rested a hand on the lock circling the neck, the rest of the room faded away altogether, leaving only a throne and the pillars in its wake. She approached the throne, which surprised her by speaking up. "A respectful choice." What? She wasn't feeling especially respectful, she thought, but let's not waste time correcting it. "A choice that will reward you to become the Greatest of them all. May you find what you yearn for and may it lead to further greatness."
It certainly sounded auspicious, but what did it mean? Ah well, Ursula was sure she'd know soon enough, one way or another. She was rather looking forward to finding out.

When he awoke again he was alone, but he didn't recall being alone. He was aware of the voice, the voice with the hand that had dragged him forward from the floating purgatory he was in for ... he didn't know for how long. He had his name and a scattering of memories and that was it.
It was hard to focus - he still felt so tired. He was trying to take in the words, he was honestly trying but all he could think to wonder was if she was still around. If she was also reborn just like him to fulfill a promise to this Great King.
He was working for something? Dimly he stared at box and the locks.
Kettil could barely remember his name and now he was expected to remember all this? It all felt so hopeless and strange. He moved to touch the necklace that was on his person now. When did he wear this one? Was it always there? His eyes went toward the pillar and the throne.
A choice then. Always a choice.
Yet, he knew what he wanted and he moved toward the Throne.
It was the right choice because it was his choice.
He needed to become Greater.

Once upon a time, she could remember wishing for this. Remember wanting to be scattered so that her thoughts would slowly fade out into nothing. So she could be at rest.
Strange, how when it happens to you, one realizes that you never should've wished for it in the first place.
This was it.
No, this wasn't it.
As the great hand scooped her and all her memories up effortlessly...
She couldn't have felt more grateful if she tried.
While she reformed, the girl stayed on her knees, hands clenching the earth below her. Everything was flowing back into her being. The bad... And the good.
So selfish. She had been so selfish prior to this. With so little to fuel her, and so much weighing down on her, the crash had been inevitable, but it didn't stop her from beating herself up on the inside.
Breathe... Just breathe.
It felt so good to inhale again. "Steady. One step at a time. There is much more to still complete"
Looking up, She was amazed by the presence that currently surrounded her. No one had gained her respect so immediately before, but he deserved it. Something told her that.
The Great King had vowed to help her? That... Was a pretty big deal. She stood in awe as they explained the predicament. That there was a promise she needed to fulfill. The most important thing, however... Was her name.
She was embraced by it. Never had she been so grateful to remember that four letter word her parents had used to describe her.
Riyo.
It held so much, Riyo realized now. It wasn't just a name, it was a description of everything she had been through, and the journey still ahead. Not everything was clear, but... It was a start.
Then the colors. The beautiful colors. The feline gasped as her features returned. Her ears twitched, her tail swayed. Her clothes. Oh how fantastic.
Riyo had never been happier to be herself. "Thank you!" She cried as the king began to fade. She could remember it. Bits and pieces of that promise. But still things were missing.
The throne was calling.

When she realized that she was still conscious, she celebrated; her time was not over yet, and she had been granted another chance to be useful. To prove herself. She wasn't sure what sort of promise she had made, but this great king had enlisted her help, and she was eager to get started.
Besides, she finally remembered something important - Lizzy. Her true name is Lizzy. It made her feel more complete, somehow, and it showed in her physical appearance.
She chose the pillars, but didn't think that she was a hero. Or very wise at all. After all, she hadn't done anything to be deserving of such a title. She's just... Searching for something important still, that's all.

He is dissipating. He is thinning. He is being undone... "This is not the end."
And then a great hand grabs onto each and every of his precious memories, wraps them into 'his' fingers and holds onto them tightly, pulling him forward-
- And ***, are once again saved.
"You still have a promise to fulfill."
"*gasp!* hhhHHHHnnHHHH!!!"
Everything comes rushing back to him all at the same time, clamouring, yelling, loss, pain, confusion, chaos, excitement, anger-
"Steady. One step at a time. There is much more to still complete" He reawakened, findimg himself before a throne which contained a being. A half-complete being which radiated aura of greatness.
"I am the Great King." There is no doubt. He believed its words before he even understand why. "I vowed to help you, and I will continue to do so. Do you remember why?"
A great question mark now looms before his head. When, exactly? My time as *** the ghost, 'Rei' the information broker, Eir the shadow or?
"I did not expect so," he continued after looking at Rei's expression. There is something held by one hand-
It is a box.
He noticed that the red lock is already unsealed, and from its keyhole, smoking a thick black.
"My...heart?"
I wish to protect. I wish to erase all sadness and replace them with smiles. I wish to became a Goddess...
His 'memories' spoke to him.
'He' oddly look more tired, more faded as he sink to his seat. The lavish castle around them are dwindling. The throne looks rusted, worn, the pillars faded. "Return when you have unsealed Pride and Creation and we shall discuss further. For now, I part with you one last gift."
The Great King exhaled slowly, but *** only feel warmth.
He remembers something, something that he have been yearning for for so long, something he tried to remember over and over again but could not. He remembered this and because of it, he becomes something greater. He changed as colors overwhelms his body, as he gains figure and form and are no longer grey.
He remembered his true name.

I want to be the strength that supports everyone, his heart spoke again.
He reached for the pillars.
"A wise choice," murmurs the pillars, "A choice for those who already know they are heroes and yearn for more. May you find what you wish for and may it lead to greater discoveries."
And with that, his vision blurred...

This sensation... it was like it had happened before and, perhaps, many times before. He was falling apart, floating in nothingness as everything that he was was coming apart. He could almost feel himself smile at the thought; he was helpless here.
"This is not the end"
"What?..."
"You still have a promise to fulfill"
Aeru listened to the words that were spoken carefully, listening to the Great King speak about memories and locks and...
"Uru...baen..."
His true name. Memories of 'Aeruban'... and a new task. Not from the Goddesses, not from the Queen, but the Great King. He found himself standing before the imposing being as he spoke of the box and locks and the task at hand. Throne or Pillars, he would have to choose. Turning, he looked to the pillars; strong and standing tall, supporting all others.
He was nothing, and then, a hand grabbed his memories, pulling, and he was saved.
"You still have a promise to fulfill."
He took a deep breath, and everything came rushing back, pain, yelling, chaos, all at once.
"Steady. One step at a time. There is much more to still complete"
With those words, he was calmer. Warmer. This was someone who deserved respect. A king? Something more? He was in a long hallway now, and at the end of it, someone hovering over a throne, half-complete.
"I am the Great King." There is no doubt. You believe their words before you even understand why. "I vowed to help you, and I will continue to do so. Do you remember why?
He didn't remember.
The king continued to speak, a box held in his hand. There were chains around it, and eight locks, each a different color.
"This contains everything you have been working for. The rest of your memories, as well as mine, as well as the ones from loyal allies of mine, as well as the ones from enemies of mine. Seven important memories lie within this box, a layer in this box, like a Pandora's Box."
The red lock was already unsealed, and apparently, two of the others were undone.
"Once all seven, no eight, have become unsealed, then you will regain all your memories and face the truth. You, and only you. Fight until them, and serve your promise. Even if you do not remember it, your Heart does."
The king looked tired, more faded, and as he listened to the instructions, he could only nod. And then, as the king exhaled, he remembered. He changed.
He was Ilztmyr'ree. And part of the promise came to him.
He was not completely whole, not yet, but he was getting there. There was a strange necklace around his neck, a lock, and he could no longer see his heart.
Everything else faded, leaving only the pillars and the throne. It was a simple choice, and Myr walked over to the pillars.
