Hounds and Familiars no longer require a summoner or whyst name in order to be certed.
However, if you plan on RPing your Hound in the human realm it will require a summoner to exist there (and thus a summoner name).
Familiars are native to the human realm and thus do not require a summoner or a whyst if you wish to play them as wild/unbonded.

General Rules + Info
◘ Summoners can only have ONE hound and ONE familiar, each.

Naming Rules
◘ Hounds These should be unique, "non-human" names. No common names or obvious translations from other languages, names of gods or mythological characters, or 'word names' (Sky, Daisy, etc) are allowed. Think Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones type names. High fantasy.
◘ Familiars: These guys have the most leeway. Names can be high fantasy or word names (you can call them Daisy if you want!), but cannot be normal human names (Elizabeth, Mary, etc).
◘ Humans: In general names should have an English, or Latin-root based, feel to them (them can still be fantasy-esque, like LOTR or GOT, though). Word names (like Ravenclaw, or Moonshadow) are not allowed, though some words may be okay for first names -- Sky, Daisy, Rose, etc.
Right now, we're restricting names to these parameters so that things have a cohesive feel and work with the setting. Also, Canis is extremely closed off from the rest of the world and nearly impossible to travel to because of the difficult terrain at it's borders. So other names that are too far-fetched probably wouldn't work, unless the character had a good backstory to explain their origins!

Re-Cert Request
You may have your pet re-certed for one of two reasons: a change of username OR to add a new edited version. If you are receiving a pet from someone as a re-homing it counts as a 'new' pet -- please post it using the Individual Hounds form.
All re-certs cost 5m and trades are to be sent directly to Kyrieko.
