It seems almost sad, just a strange, drooped figure. It isn't until you get close that you notice something wrong, especially the way it approaches you, eyes locked, never moving. It reaches its claws towards you and -

Reap was still seething from his previous encounter when he sloped off after another creature. Anger wasn't as much fun as he thought it had been initially and now he was growing weary of it.

"Nothing new's happened yet," Ironshare allowed, "but more's better. We keep growing, we keep changing, and nothing can hurt us."
He pinned one of the slumped creatures with his blade-stick, looking over at Reap in concern.
"You okay? ...You don't like it anymore?"

Loa followed the others again, flashing them a fleeting smile as he drew his blades and charged forth to slice the creature that stood before them. But something was different. He ran back as the creature sent a whack at the back of his head.
He skid to a halt at the other's side. "Is everything okay?"

Reap didn't much like how he felt, emotions were new and strange to him and the lingering spikes of feeling from the dark emotional flashes from the fragmented sparks still pursued him. Iron was right though, they were changing. Since those first moments of vagueness and uncertainty, without a shape, without a self he'd filled out more solidly, sharp arches of tattoos over silver flesh and fur that shifted always as if in the fog scattered breeze. Overall he looked less humanoid, sharp demonic talons and the beginnings of horn like shadowy flickers nestled in his wispy hair. He looked different, and under the surface he felt different. They'd been talking earlier about the fear of the heart-less creatures stealing their hearts, but they were the ones stealing from the dead.
He gave Iron an uncertain look. "I like the fighting." And he did, it ran deep and primal in him. "But ...I.. I don't know man. I think I'm ok. I just feel so. Angry. And scared."
The claws of the flailing creature raked out at him and he repaid it in kind. "Do we want to change?"
As Loa approached, Reap seemed to tense up once again, pushing the uncertainty deep under the surface. "None of your business."

He hadn't really tested his blades as he had before. The last creature he missed, but this time the blades felt heavy in his hands. The metal was warm under his fingertips, and he tilted back and forth, catching his reflection in strange blades. Blades with blue, just like his heart. Why blue? Why was his heart blue and some hearts yellow? His eyes looked over. "Red weapon.....yellow weapon........." He looked at his swords. "...blue weapon." Colors. His goddess was blue. What color was there goddess? How could the one yellow heart hold a red weapon?
His mind was full of questions, and no one had answers. Then there was that feeling. He had to find....something..............something important. Something he had been looking for but couldn't remember. What color was this something he was looking for, he wondered.
The monster ahead moved in, and he wondered if all the bits inside, full of different colors, had the answers. If he cut them, and they spilled pieces of many colors, the golds, blues, and purples that were in his pocket now, would one color be the color he was looking for?
He moved forward, past the rest as they spoke, and slide with the large blades. While he didn't feel safe being this close, he wanted to know more.

"Yeah," he said, gruff and without hesitation.
"I remember before, still. I don't want to go back. I remember when I was first formed. I don't want to go back to that either."
It was hard to articulate what he meant, the feelings he had towards the weaker ones. Destroying them, and using them to make something they could use, that felt only right.
"You've changed a lot, but you've just gotten...more on you, is all. More parts. Like the goddesses. And every time I learn a little more about me. About you. About..." he gestured around them. "I want to. Even if I change, I still am. I'm not afraid."

Loa looked stung, but it was quick and fleeting like a deft jag in the arm. It was painful and then just as quickly, it was gone. No time to be weak, no room for failure. He still was not so certain that was not a mouse in a pit of hungry snakes. But he still followed and fought with all he had to give. He ran past them to bury his blades deep in the enemy causing it to lash out at Loa as he jerked his weapons free causing nothing but a mist to spew from the wounds.

Reap was still afraid, even if Iron wasn't, and somehow that was shameful. "I want to know more but.. I don't know if it will be good to know things. All the things I've seen. Almost all of them were bad."
Almost all. Some had hinted at something greater, something bottomless and forgotten, out of reach.
He remembered his first battle with these things where he was completely crushed and faded to nothing before waking up again, whole once more but still remembering. With a weapon and others, the fight was a lot faster and the damage greater (compared to the pathetic display he had before).
Standing back, he waited before moving on, the sad, drooping figure barely moving as he went in and shoved the blades into it's back. It jolted, then slumped, sliding down off his blades to fall to the ground.
Shaking his weapons, he looked at them. "This makes a big difference." He felt better with them around. He looked around. "Is everyone okay?"

"We don't have to fight all the time," Ironshare said. "Some of the things I know now are bad. And some of them are good."
He wiped his blade off soberly.
"Some, I don't know what they are. There's a lot of that. I just promised myself I would know eventually. ...But I think, either way. Having someone with me, that's definitely good."
Iron looked briefly at Velmin and Loa, then picked from the dispersed creature.

"I'm fine." Reap said to the figure with Loa - he hadn't even learned his name yet he realised. "These guys aren't too tough." They weren't tough at all.
He stooped to collect his dues before straightening up and giving Iron a curious look. "I can agree with that I guess. Though I don't know what there is to do that isn't fighting. We need these things."

Once Iron and Reap had theor cut, Loa went in for his own dues, placing them with the rest. He cocked his head to the side at Reap and Iron. They both seemed... different. Somehow stronger and more... real? Real. Did this mean he was not yet? Were those two in their own little world now...or?...
No. Loa refused to be left behind, "Um... what next Iron, Reap, and... uh?..." He was looking at you Velmin.

He was picking the corpse when he looked up and saw Loa looking at him. Bolting up to stand, he answered. "Velmin. - I'm Velmin." Since they hadn't really done introductions, and it seemed it wasn't something he was good at either.
He looked at the objects in his hands, shaking the mist off, before looking at their colors. He glanced at the others around him, curious. "Are there other colored hearts? What color is your goddess? I'm just curious because...." He Shrugged. "...everything here seemed to be either gray or a color." A color he felt was very important. Was it okay to hang around those that were yellow when he was blue? He felt a bit - like the odd person out.
